Appropriately N300,000 per acre.

This is for 4000m length of 0.4mm thickness driptapes, 30cm savings and 3 litres per hour flow rate. It comes with connectors and end caps.

While
1000m of 0.4mm thickness with connectors is N75000.

Note: I do not stock 0.2mm or 0.3mm, the reason is just for durability

Ok thanks
I got this

agronomy has to do with soil science
Everything that involves managing the soil to bring out good fruits etc

Hello!!!

*We are seeking credible buyers of fresh tomatoes in Lagos, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, and other SW and SS states*
*The tomatoes are sourced from Zaria and Jos; we supply in large baskets*

our prices are also competitive.

The sellers of Vegetables like Tomato, Ata rodo, Tatase, Sombo usually buys from the popular mile 12 market in Lagos. Most of their location are far from the market.
The women will gladly buy from other source that will reduce the cost of transportation and at a better price.

We need individuals that will get in touch with the Vegetable sellers in their environment.

Lets say you discuss with 50 tomatoes sellers that each buys 3 small baskets of tomatoes.

The total need for the group will be 150 basket.

We will supply the 150 baskets to your doorstep on the agreed day

The women each come with their basket pick since they have been informed.

We pay you 2% of the transaction on each basket.
Lets assume a basket is sold for N30,000. 2% of 30,000 gives N600.
For 150 basket your commission will be N90, 000

We supply as you demand.

Madam Jethro, I throw salute.
Plantain is also good but should be planted solely on your private property/land. Exchanging ideas makes life easier. Like I said before, doing a market survey would give you an idea of commodities in high demand.

Thank you sir.
You have said it all

Plantain is not as lucrative as our people is making it to be

Every farm produce is seasonal
An intending farmer should take time to learn every aspect involve from market through season, not leaving behind every details

Please do more to explain...Good agricultural practises in this sense will be what and what please??,,,and what do you reckon please...I really need to make enough profit off anything I intend to do on that land..that's one of the reasons i am bidding my time..I'd appreciate your detailed explanation please sir!

Some of the factors that contributes to having better yield in every crop planted are:
1 Soil rich in nutrients
2. Water management in terms of irrigation
3. Soil texture, water holding capacity
4. Good planting medium
5. Proper and timely weed control system
6. Pest and diseases management
7. Good fertilization routine
8. Good soil preparation

We have all read that a farmer can harvest 30_ 40 tonnes from an hectare of cassava

What we did not factor in is the step by step details of what it's involve to achieve such feats

Some countries already achieve 80 tonnes of cassava per hectare but with all good agricultural practises tise factor in place

A farmer can only meet the required yield when every of the above mentioned and more is put in place when and during planting

Also, farm produce price changes all the time.
Except you are processing or you are planting beside the processing factory, transport alone will take up all you have worked for on an hectare

Notice I am using hectare
2.5 acres make up an hectare

Farming require techniques
Its a system that must be learned

I actually meant giving cassava planting a trial not veggies.

Planting cassava on 1 acre will seem to be a complete waste of time, effort and funds knowing the fact that is not going to be done with good agricultural practises

I have little or no knowledge reason why I am asking. Even if I have the cash, I shouldn't look for what will be the best cost effective method? I should just throw money around because " I have the cash? ". Like I said on the post, I've been talking to some irrigation experts and the drip system is all what they are suggesting but the cost is what I am considering. If I have a better cost relatable system I will opt for it, reason why I am here to seek for more advice or professional help.

Thanks for your contribution. Please house I'm still waiting for your advises.

I think you should take time to do what the first writer suggested

Get a practising practical farmer to consult where you pay for the service

You will be doing yourself a lot of good

There are so many things apart from irrigation that you still need to understand

Several type of irrigation
Drip
Sprinkler
Spray tube
Rain gun etc

Soil texture and requirements need to be sort out

Planning to irrigate a large farm land with nearby stream or runoff water is courting disaster from the onset

You actually need to take time getting things together
Nairaland analysis will only put you into trouble

Interesting. I never realise greengo lasts for over a week. That is wonderful. And I agree with you, it is just too crazily expensive. Only a good cucumber farmer will make profit from it.

I just like it when farmers like you explore alternatives. Keep it up ma. Bravo!

If you do not mind, which one does not last beyond 2 days?

Yes.
Greengo stay long on the shelf.
And its greenish
The retailers love it
It's just too expensive

We currently use Lion seed
It's big and fast maturity
Green but not greengo green

But brings out water after just a day.
Despite not using synthetic.

We are trying to look for better alternative
Agriculture / Re: 35 Days Early Maturing Hybrid Cucumber Seeds by jethro2: 4:37pm On Mar 25, 2018
Hi Jay cucumber

I have interest in the cucumbers
I want to buy not trial seeds

I would love to know the variety names
Not Jay 1 2 3 4

Have you planted any of them before?

I would prefer the dark greenish colour cause that's what the market in the Southwest demand.

Longevity after harvest is also one of the retailers desired quality

East West greengo stay over a week after harvesting without decaying buy only shrinking
We avoid it because it's expensive

The current one we use do not last 2 days after harvesting.

Going back to East West if no alternative

Hope we will find what we require with your seed

jaycucumber:

@fluentinfo and co sorry for the late reply.data is not too good at the farm and i got delayed for answers to 2 of your questions by seed company.

Quality difference is is in Jay 4 being chemically treated unlike the others

1.For the purpose of trails varieties shall be known as Jay 1, 2, 3. 4.

2 Only one producer to be unveil after trials completion. Have started preparations and am in the process of making ridges.
Employed staff absconed and caused delay.Once on course again will be updating with pictures.Would appreciate if someone in the house can help me with 2 farm hand.
3. All have 35 days maturity
4. All varieties are hybrid
5. Fruits are 22-26cm in length
width ranges from 3.5-4.5cm
all varieties are streaked green
6. J 1-J 3 have medium tolerance while J 4 has high tolerance
7.All varieties are gynocious
8. Optimum temperature is 26-28
Maximum temperature is 32 degrees
