why can't they raise fund in Nigeria? sincerely Nigeria have been missing out in business investment how do I mean? Profit flows to US while we r the source of d revenue
There are no funders in Nigeria and the concept is new and unproven. Nigerian VCs do not put their money in what they do not understand and they want to invest today and start eating profit tomorrow.

Squad4:
[s]The thing that amazes me most is that people override the MORAL IMPLICATION of MMM by greed. A responder above even blessed the system and its progenitors and prayed for God's blessings on the system and its beneficiaries.

Just consider the few points below;

1. Where does the 30% interest come from?
2. Does the system make any investments to grow funds? Every Penny you receive is another person's money; Are you sure the person would receive his own money?
3. Are 95 Percent of the people involved in it there, because they believe in the ideology of help being promoted? Or are they there because of 30%?
4. Will I get 30% if new people do not join the MMM community?
5. If answer to 4 is no; What would happen to the people that have already provided help waiting for their turn to get help?
6. Are there people who have even against warnings or wrong indoctrination, put their life's saving or put their business funds into MMM with the hope of getting 30%?
7. What would be the fate of these people that put there funds at the point of collapse? Could people who loose everything to the system consider killing themselves? Has MMM failed in other countries before?(SOUTH AFRICA MMM)
8. would that guy you preached to bless you when his money is lost or would he curse you?

On the possibility that the organizers are reaping from the system without you knowing; Just truly ask yourself;
1. How hard is it for a foreigner to obtain a local bank account?
2. Do you have a view of how much money the account you are paying into has received? Would you know if the system decides to channel 50% of all deposits to a single account?
3. Has there been delays experienced in the system in the past or presently? Are you being encouraged to leave your money in the system for longer?
4. Can you hold anybody responsible for the money you put in?

Answer these questions and help you conscience; Suffice it to say, i have seen Pastors involved in it, i have seen very brilliant minds involved it it; but is your greed higher than your humanity?

Its a question of do you care about the welfare of the person who you are taking his money?[/s]
While you're here preaching, bank workers are recruiting down lines, people are paying their domestic staff and house rent. Continue wasting your time.

This thread was created to showcase my snail farm as away of encouraging the unemployed youths to explore the golden opportunities that lies within, in other to attain financial freedom without having to remain idle "while waiting on their choice employment". And also, to motivate and unveil to the working class the flexibility in snail farming. Thereby making it a very good way of doubling their sources of income. As it often requires most attention in the evenings/night, minimum startup capital, very low morality rate, good return of investment, etc.

Agriculture remains the only way out, most especially in this present economic reality in Nigeria. This is why, going into the agricultural sector will not only make us self-sufficient but to increase income base.

Checkout my snails.
Wow, this is really impressive. What's the market for snails like and how far do you sell?

I completed my personal productivity course and submitted my assignment. Got a total score of 92%. The problem is that I received a mail on d site, telling me that the course has ended and that I can re-enroll. Did any1 receive same e-mail? Secondly,d site is kind of giving me problems in terms of receiving lessons,is any1 experiencing that? I forwarded a message as regards d course I took and I was asked to send my log in details, does it sound right? Abeg o,make una help me.
Do not send details to anyone. Was your assignment accepted by your buddy? Did the course show the flag at the end? Are you collecting your certificates, if not go and collect them because that is your proof of course completion. As for the website, it is problematic, just change your browser until you find the one that works.

mostyg:
That is not plagarism. The professor has not done anything WRONG. This is how researchgate and other similar websites work. As long as you are one of the authors and the journal permits self archiving, you can upload any article on your page.

With a Masters degree and a potential lecturer, you should know better.

The prof has even made your research popular by uploading on his page.

He is a professor already and does not need it for any promotion again.
You are correct, researchgate only makes the paper more popular and research gate is not a publisher so nothing wrong had been done, only good.

I am trying hard not to mention names, but yes he did not tamper with the original material.

What he did was upload the article on academic sites but in so doing he did not mention my name as the author and while I published the article I made him author(2) but he uploaded same article to the web and now claimed he is author(1).

Thats academic dishonesty. Although the uploaded article bears my name, a look through google scholar still lists him as the main author and you wouldnt even find my name except you download the article.
Do not mention the name of anybody. What are the names of the websites where he republished?

OP yours is not called plagiarism. Mine is worse.
My undergraduate project was presented and published in a National conference in 2012 by my suppervisor. my name was not among the authors. the paper was awarded the best paper with a plague and 30,000.
He claimed the publishers omitted my name . he gave me 5K and said he will contact the publishers. Up till this moment I haven't heard from him.
And you kept quite?

his name was cited in the paper published.
I feel so ashamed that a topic like this is coming up in our academic community. This is actually not a case of plagiarism but republishing. That is the reason I advised him to write those journals that published the work and show them the original link. This op de lie o, the more I think of it the more it is impossible. No journal will publish a paper with accepted date or in PDF format.

Oga Guitarlife, are you sure you are into research at all?
What really happened, come and say the truth.

Some years ago I published a journal.

On the pdf copy of the journal my name is listef as the main author together with Dr. B but Prof C. is only listed as a secondary author.

This journal is my original work and I collaborated mostly with Dr. B.

Please advise
What kind of researcher are you, which university did you go to. You do not know the difference between a journal and a research paper. I do not even believe the professor is ignorant enough to do what you said he did.

If by chance there is any truth in your story then write to the journals where he puplished the paper and provide evidence the paper is yours, also provide the link to your publication. It is against publishing ethics to publish an already published paper.
Properties › Re: Please Criticize This Four Bedroom Bungalow Plan? by Jethrolite(m): 7:08am On Sep 13, 2016
yissi:
Good morning house!

We would be building a house starting from next week.
This is the plan the architect drew for me for a four bedroom bungalow. This bungalow will serve as my main residential house.

As they say, two heads are better than one. I would like the house and experts to criticize this plan and offer their views and ideas.

Thanks
Architects do not draw such a poor design. At first I thought you drew it yourself. The labeling is bad, the relationships of one room to the other is poor. Please regularise the room sizes, volumes within and fix that passage that is like a maze. And remember to use doors with large glass panels that will allow natural light from the bathroom reach the passage, that is if enough light even reaches the bathroom and toilet seeing how close it is to the next building.

In addition to the free knowledge, when we become beneficiaries of the loan package we get to pay @ 9 - 10% unlike conventional interest rates of 24 - 28% and we still expect to be paid 50 - 100k for training.
I want to ask you some questions.

1. How were you able to fund your investor seeking adventure across Nigeria?

2. Did you apply with an existing business or business idea?

3. Does your business have net positive cash flow?

Its very vital for fed govt to provide accomodation and transportation to each participant. They can not expect me to come to EDC in lekki everyday from ogun state. It will be stressful and impossible.
It was stated in the invite mail that each participant will personally cater for their transportation and accomodation. That is why i am worried.
For God sake, this program is even supported by united nations development fund.
This is not good and very disappointing.

No fighting please. There was no need to attack or insult. While you are both correct, I personally support government giving us allowances for in class training. It is the right thing to do. Africa and Nigeria really needs to look at what north America and Europe did and are still doing to become world economic power houses. Things have to be done right. Yes, people travel to acquire knowledge but in this case, we are under a federal program with scholarship and I believe it should be a fully paid scholarship. If I am not mistaken, EDC is making at least N400, 000 per participant in this program and to be honest if you know EDC and the PAU, the actual sum could be as high as N800, 000 per participant. Whatever the case may be, I see nothing wrong in the FG paying us between N50-100k for the in class training unless our feeding and accommodation will be taken care of during the in class training. Then they can give us N20k transport allowance.

That's the problem with Nigeria, they will make you spend the little you are surviving on without giving you assurance of being picked. Imagine to give you loan you must spend 3 months doing courses and buying Internet data all the time. our leaders and those who are privileged to be successful in Nigeria are the biggest problems we have now. 3 months program plus additional weeks of in_class training is nonsense to me. There are people who have succeeded in business without attending classes. It all depends on how hard working you can be. If they want to help the Nigerian youths they should do so without wasting people's energy and resources.
At first I thought like this also until I saw the timetable. The courses are quite useful. I just want to believe those traveling for in class training will be given hotel and feeding allowance but with the way even our sports teams are treated I fear it will not be so. Let's just wait and see.

Is it true that we will personally cater for our accommodation and transportation to training venues, daily? If so, it is bad for them. Imagine the cost each participants will incur after already spending money on the three months online training.
That's a terrible thing to do but if that is the case even, you've already come this far, follow through to the end.
