They are being patronized now more than ever as celebrations that were usually low key are taking on a whole new dimension. There are private portraits, fashion shoot, magazine shoot, catalogue development, weddings, introduction, marriages. The land is green.

Hi guys,

So I know I'm late to this whole thread, lol. I had no idea a list was even released 15 Aug. But I got an acceptance mail this morning. I checked the list but I still didn't find my name there. Does this make sense to anyone? Lol. Anyways, I am still proceeding with the programme. I wish us all that have been shortlisted the best of luck.
My name is in the list, never received the first notification but got the second notification.

New move as I upgraded Kratos blade to maximum, love this game like madt
Cool. Is there a way for me to know what to change in settings to make the game play smoothly? My soul calibur was skipping before but now the game play is very smooth. The skipping contributes to the flaws in the game. If I can set the emulator properly then I can enjoy the game.

My gow is different - chains of Olympus. Your settings made other games very enjoyable though. The mini game in my gow is too fast. It just frustrated me and I stopped playing. The thing expects you to press the right button in less than a second after it appears.

I asked if the game plays smoothly when you play it or it skips and you manage it like that? What is your game play like so I can use your settings to try playing the games I have.

Do these your settings play psp games smoothly because I deleted all my ppsspp games out of frustration. The game plays like a badly scratched cd.

I have done business with kenya both with private and government agencies and I can tell you the country is far better than Nigeria. Nobody harasses you for egunje like it's their birth right and when they tell you they will get something done, they do it.

Very interesting that you said that, we all know that is elephant in the room here is our dubious reputation.

Some immigration polices come about so as to stop the abuse of the system and some Nigerians do that as a job
True, those in the know sit on their knowledge for safety reasons, the things I know about USA, Canada and Australia I can't even share here. Though trump may turn the USA into UK should he win.

There is nothing new here, this info has been here before the op started this and guess what? People still apply for come to the UK WITHOUT bothering to read and plan ahead.

Last year somebody started this thread https://www.nairaland.com/2378290/5-things-should-considered-before to educate prospective students and the usual comments flooded but at the end nothing much changed.

Blame people who are lazy and careless to through their millions away the moment they hear abroad.

You talking about Canada? Have you done your research on Canada? Do you know the requirements? Do you know the possibility of getting a PR and then citizenship?
Yes, people can be lazy and I know Canada very well, once you're in Canada you can rest easy and stay away from crime. There are things that can't be shared publicly because Nigerians are masters of abusing favourable systems. Let those who can research do their findings.

Please can you just calm down? You read the wrong meaning into his post and come out smoking.

He did not say that one must travel to the UK first, he was just giving an example from his own experiences
I'm very calm right here, we are still turning round and coming to the same point. Op is passing a very critical message across to people especially those who getting a foreign degree is not the primary reason they find themselves in a foreign university but sharing his own experience and the way he is sharing it is like those who are already making a terrible mistake have hope in the future. We both know as we write there are people that are processing admission at various stages, have done visa application and there are some that have gotten visa and waiting to resume. Isn't it better those that have gained admission or applied for visa or even waiting to travel to the UK get a clear story that they are on the wrong path now, cut their losses and see if they can meet up with 2017 winter or spring session in Canada?

We should remember once again that the primary audience for this thread are not rich kids who simply want to study in the UK then return home but people whose intention is to kiss Nigeria and the hard life goodbye until further notice.

Timing is essense. How would it have been easy to arrange msc transcript from nigeriahuh..ask current guys trying to apply for express entry what they go through coupled with the rising exchange rate and selection point.

Also while in canada, having an msc from a uk university has opened does for me. canadians and australians respect uk alot. Its the motherland to them. Autralia even has a special visa for post grad of some specific uni, not sure a nigerian uni is listed in that program.

Also, the pgwp does not gaurantee a job in canada just like psw visa never gauranteed a job in the uk. Do you know how comoetitive it is in getting a good job in canada? canada has an extremely small widespread economy. Despite the removal of psw visa, guys that went to excellent uni's in uk still get jobs. A younger relative just got a job with woods engineering even before completing his msc from ucl.
Another from unisalford got a job with accenture before grad and these companies are sponsoring their visas.

Whereas i know nigerians with msc degrees from usask and u of c still hustling for jobs in canada. Now they are running out of their psw visa and don't even have enough points to qualify for express entry. its even almost impossible to qualify for express entry with anything less than a masters too in canada.

Irrespective of whether you graduate from US, UK, Denmark, Australia e.t.c if you are good, you wont have a problem migrating to other coutries in the world.
Please stop confusing interested people with worthless knowledge that seems to make sense at first glance. So you think going to the UK then returning to Nigeria before going to Canada is better than going straight to Canada? Canada does not discriminate in any way. People like you just come online and cause confusion when someone has some real sense to pass across to the public. When you have friends and family who are interested in leaving Nigeria for good, you should advice them to go to UK first to waste their hard earned money then return to Nigeria before applying to go to a country like Canada. It is this type of bad advise 2 of my friends received and went to the UK only to return to Nigeria. One even went as far as doing 2 masters in the UK, where are they today? They are both jobless in Nigeria trying to sort their lives out and just discovering they should have headed to Canada or Australia in the first place.

Again, keep this your advise for private use. Do not confuse people here. I am even surprised Justwise is supporting this your view that can ruin a person's destiny and destroy their family. Do you know some parents go as far as selling land and borrowing heavily just to send their kids abroad only for the kids to make the mistake of going to the UK and eventually being bounced back after their study.
