afam4eva: I don't think people are as dumb as they wre ten years ago as it pertains to HIV/AIDS. Though there's still a lot of stigmatization going on. God forbis, if i became an HIV patient i don't think i can tell anyone about it.You may not tell anybody but does that mean that people won't know? Let me share a story with you. There was this woman who was tested positive n has since been taken her drugs as well as going for regular check up. One day while at the "heart to heart centre", she met her Pastor's wife there. She was so ashamed of herself and thought her secrets were opened afterall but the question is: what is the Pastor's wife doing at the centre if not to take medication for HIV or to run HIV test? So, no matter how you keep it, people will still know, think about this scenarios: 1. If you decide to go to the hospital (which is the best) you are going to meet people and accidentally the one who knows you. 2. If you keep it to yourself (which is the worst thing that can happen to you), the virus will weaken your system someday and you will be left at the mercy of people around you. 1 Like |

Please forget about all this things you call "implications", don't allow your father to die in isolation. You have a caring father who have seen you guys through university and even stooped so low as to seek your consent on his private life (not African like). Don't allow the little education he has given you to make you lose your head on issues that bother on intimacy. The guy is just displaying ignorance with his article. The question I'll like to put to him is that will banning BB stop the menace? The answer is capital 'NO'. Reason being that there are other smart phones that can do the work of BB effectively and efficiently even more than BB itself (maybe all smart phones will be banned as well). Secondly, talking about the BBM on BB, fine it is causing problems, so if BB is banned would it stop? Again the answer is 'NO' because we have a lot of social forum where the falsehood can be spread (Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, 2go, Nairaland etc). *to the bin joor* 22 Likes |
