Slonge2: I want to use this medium to complain about the inordinate depletion of my data by mtn. just today they told me i exhausted the 750 MB sub in less than 3hrs on just Facebook and Nairaland, while my total consumption from my phones data reading was less than 300mb. it is really frustrating as i have been spending too much on data which was previously not so.
In the past three weeks alone, i have spent more than #4000 on data only, and the worst part of it is that i am a very basic user of the internet. i basically only use my data for face-booking, Nairaland and checking of my mails, but the my data balance will be humongous depleted from this basic operations, which is out-rightly outrageous and baffling.
i call on the NCC, SON and every other well meaning organization in Nigeria to look into the affairs of MTN because it seems to me that this is a criminally well orchestrated plot to fleece hard working Nigerians of their hard earned money. i believe they should be penalized according to the law for this action.
N/b: i contacted their customer care and they tried to convince me that i was used up my data and even rudely posited that i ignorantly left my background apps running which drained all the data. i felt like strangling the dude

Ok so I was first automatically subscribed for one mobile magazine with a fee of N50, I over looked it and unsubscribed. After a while I got a debit alert for the same thing I unsubscribed for the second time, I was vexed buh calm at that moment so i unsubscribed without making a fuss. The next day I didn't have up to N50 buh I was getting messages that I couldn't subscribe again for the magazine I had already unsubscribed from, kilode!. I recharged my line to make some calls and instantly i received a debit alert for the subscription I was furious so I called on their customer care buh to no avail, you know how it works naow you just have to wait for hours and still won't pick, so I just mentioned them on Twitter while also copying @efcc they promptly responded and unsubscribe for me from their office while also crediting my account with N100 and 10mb, I was glad the experience was over, at least so I thought. Buh u can imagine how I felt after the next day I was subscribed again Omo I was madd I called them out again on Twitter and it was deactivated for the second time from their side buh not refunded. I thought that was all until this evening I received another debit alert of N50 for the stupid mobile magazine I never subscribed for nor wanted. Ok now I'm really sick and tired of this, please who do I report this kind of issue to cos the little monies I use in recharging my phone is being pilfered and I can't stand back and watch so which agency do I call MTN to and how do I go about it. I just want this totally fixed cos that's my main line.
