a few days back I got a message that Hausa relationship tips would soon be renewed, something I didn't subscribe for. I tried calling their customers service, each time it connects my phone will trip off. I thought it was a minor glitch so I ignored it but today I got an SMS that the Hausa relationship tips subscription has been renewed and the was a code to cancel the subscription. send Daina rrtm to 30363 but each time I put in the last digit of the code my phone will off. I can't call customer care and I can't cancel the subscription I didn't subscribe for. please is anyone having a similar problem...? I am an Igbo guy, I don't need relationship tips and I definitely don't need it in Hausa. Thunder fire Mtn

Hi IZUKWU, roll over feature is NOT applicable in this situation. The 1GB data for N500 and the data share have two different validity dates and validity periods can not be accumulated. Please help. I was Initially on daily plan. My MB finished before expiry. So I loaded a daily 30MB. Afterwards I bought 1,000 and sent 106 to 131 like I usually do. I noticed the following day been today I had no more data to use when I checked, by sending 106 to 131 my MB read Yellow your data balance; 0.0MB expires 04/aug2017, 1 day;0.0MB, expires 19/May/2017;30 Days 5170.11MB expires; 18/June/2017. Invariably thrice or so I loaded my monthly plan, the balance was hanging in the 30 Days Plan yet my MB read 0.0MB. Please help me rectify this problem. I have text NO104 to deactivate the daily Plan yet Balance is still hanging I cannot browse.

Hello,

I did a data subscription of 2,000 naira 3.5gb one month validity last week (10th May to be precise).

I had 5.3gb in my account balance that will expire on July 17th before I did this new subscription. Hoping that the data will be rolled over but surprisingly, I found out that the new subscription I did have a different validity period (9th June).

So my data balance is something like this: 5.3gb to expire 17th July AND 3.5gb to expire 9th June.

Now it's practically impossible for me to exhaust 5.3gb by July and now rewind the hands of time to use 3.5gb BEFORE 9th June.

MTN never notified customers that data roll over have stopped. And that is VERY BAD of MTN. It is customer negligence. I won't allow my data to just expire like that because of MTN incompetence.

I am hereby requesting the refund of my 2,000 naira because I will never be able to use it before it expires.

I subscribed 3.5G Late last month and it got exhausted within 2 weeks I subscribed 1.5G last week, after 30 minutes I got a notification that my balance is 700mb. I no talk cos I was busy.
Today, I subscribed again, within 30 minutes I got the same SMS that my balance is 736mb while I was browsing Bet9ja site.
I called them and they are spewing rubbish.

They have called me now trying to justify it but I know something is wrong cos I have never experienced this before.

MTN refund my MB. I won't take this I swear. Else I go una for prayer ohhh.

I initially thought it was my 50mb bonus that just got finished so I went to dial *131# to confirm only to see the shocker there that my data was gone. Now let's lay down the facts

1. I use data but I've never used up 1.5gb in less than a week before. This includes streaming of YouTube tutorials ooo and tethering to my laptop.
2. Since 1.5 GB wasn't lasting me again like before, I had to start subscribing 3.5gb at 2k. Which lasted me last for about 3 weeks with streaming and tethering.
3. Now I didn't even stream any video nor did I carry out any downloads; I didn't even tether to my laptop. I only accessed facebook, nairaland and some few sites within this time frame when Mtn fraudulently stole and zapped my data.

So I called their customer care and they suddenly couldn't access the portal where they could check my data usage. Even when I went to their office; they told me the same thing.

I waited till night then called again and this time, they could access the portal. Guess what the lady or one of their robots on the phone said. She said and I quote "you used high data volume between yesterday (being the day I subscribed) and today 8 am when the data got exhausted". When I probed to know the "high data volume" applications I used, she suddenly went mute as it became obvious she was reading that rhetoric from a computer screen. Because I have been made to understand they can to a great extent tell you how you spent your data.

Since when did Google Search become a high data consuming app? That can finish 1.535gb in 24 hours?

I have normally let their many excesses and high handedness and thievery slide but this particular one, I won't let it slide. The 1k is very small money to me but what if it had been my last? What if it was the only hope I had to the outside world?

What I've promised myself to do is launch a major social media campaign against them and totally boycott them while advising my colleagues and friends to do same except they either return my data or explain to me the "high data volume " applications I used.

I called mtn180 to confirm if Tecno Camon CX air works with MTN 4G. They said yes but I'll have to upgrade my Sim to 4G LTE for FREE. No P. I bought the phone, entered their Benin 3 store and requested for a Sim upgrade. They said I have to pay #900 for a service that I was told to be free. No yawa ( na me need 4G). I reach home put Sim for phone and subscribe but 4G no work. I went to Twitter they said there is no 4G in Benin. Then y was I sold a 4G Sim in a non-4G area? He said he is sorry. But sorry doesn't explain y I was scammed ( cos I still had 3G data on Glo). If I dont get a better response, na to give u some free bad publicity o.

Hey guys. I opened this thread to cry out to MTN Nigeria. I have been using there line now of over 8 months and within this period I spend at least 2k on data. Sometimes as much as 6k a week. And I get no reward for this patronage. They give other numbers 100% extra data but mine is excluded in this. They are saying it's randomly selected but to be honest I feel cheated and used because I am a heavy Internet user. And I use Dere 3.5gig in three days max. Which is quite expensive.
