Don Oms: That's weird. Did you try another branch? GTB has a scheduled maintenance between 21-22Sept but that should not affect printing Bank Statement on the 19th. Go to any branch and request for Internet Banking Activation. They'll print out your UserID and Password for you. You can then login and generate your Bank Statement. On Monday, take it to any branch for attestation & have them stamp & sign it so you can still have your interview on the same day. All tthe best bro!

thanks so much Don oms! I was able to active online banking,print the online statement, stamped and signed. My appointment was for 12 noon and I got the statement around 1.44pm, i went anyways. I got there around 2.20pm. Thankfully, i was able to submit my application today! GTBank na wah oh! Which kain wahala be that one self? I was just moving from one branch to another, until i got told it was a bankwide problem.You can print your statement online but cant print it from the bank? None of those constumer care guys was able to suggest the online statement to me. On a lighter mood, is it allowed for me to start tracking my application today? Haha! Day 1 UKBA release my visa abeg!

Amen! He WILL give us all! you can do it partly, then you complete when you get your visa cos i"m sure you'd have to fill some visa details in there.

Okay. If your fund is still intact, you have to pay more of the tuition fee to your school. Going by today's rate 3m = 11,468.7GBP but you need 11,700.If you pay the difference to the account, then you'll wait another 28 days! Best thing is to Pay like 600-1000GBP to the school and collect an updated CAS or receipt, just ensure it's not taken from the fund already in the bank. All the best

abnot: @jennyfar The oanda currency converter keeps records of exchange rates of more than a year. Regardless of the 249.95 written on your letter, The exchange rate for september 4th was 257.07. Find attached the conversion of 11,700 for september 4 below.

Lastly, do you mind taking a snapshot of your refusal notice and placing here on nairaland?

I think the mistake is that she probably used the pounds selling rate for that day instead of the buying rate. When you sell pounds, you get lower and otherwise when you buy.

Fill what you can fill in the form online, then complete it by hand on the print-out.

jennyfar: Guys it was a refus, they said I didn't have the required level of funds, that I had 3,000,001.48 which amounts to 11,670 at an exchange rate of 249.95, and dat I ought to have 11,700. 3,000,001.48 at an exchange rate of 249.95 is 12002.40, even if they had used 251 which I used, the money was still more than enough. There is room for review tho, maybe the blockhead that calculated it will realise his/her mistake cause I don't see myself paying over 80k again for this.

Pls, do i have to go to the embassy to submit the review notice? Is there any thing to be submitted with the notice

Yeah, since you paid for the courier service, it would be posted directly to you, I believe. People are getting visas after 4/5 working days, so no need to fret. Share your good news as soon as you receive it.

pantex: my money reachd 28 days on d 4th sep, i printed it dat same day and i attended d interview dat same day (4th sep). But mak sure ur statement hv an opening and closing date and d money must b complete. Best of luck

TonMon: ok thanks. but the problem is m parents dont want to risk it because of what they are hearing from ''trusted sources''. hence they donot want to risk wasting the money and not getting the visa. is there any other alternative?

Maybe the "trusted sources" could suggest the best thing to do, or what do you think? 'Cos I doubt there is an alternative, except you can get someone else pay the fund into your account from Nigeria here then your parent would pay them back in systematic instalments.

Better still, ask for the money to be paid in to your personal account.
