hasano5: Well, I know that it is applicable in my case because I applied using it before. Unfortunately, I was refused that time . I hope I get it this time though.

By the way, how is the counting for the 28 days period done??. For example, I have deposited money in my account on 22 August so I will count 22 as day 1 and end it on 18 September which is day 28 or I count 23 August as day 1 until 19 September??. It is shown in my statement that cash deposit date : 22/08/2013. Thanks again.

hasano5: If I apply on 19, we have kind of a priority service ( In Bahrain) where you pay a particular amount and you will get a reply in 5 working days which is really good compared to many different countries. So I can expect to get a reply on 26th of September maximum. Latest date to start the course is on 30 September.

However, the money held in my account will be for 28 days on 18th of September. So, I can't get the statement before that date. On the 18th, I can print the statement with the balance as at 18 September. However, should I still apply on 18 or should I get the statement on 18 and apply on 19 September?. Is it okay if my application date is on the same day as my closing balance date??.

ekpanbaghi: Thanks HOS13. I just figured the ECO might reject me because I didn't disclose in earlier visit visa applications. I have a sworn affidavit and a newspaper publication to that effect.

anonymous26: sorry for the confusion I was thinking we were in august for some weird reason. Have you already added the money to your account now or youn just plan to. Also email your school about the situation and ask if they can issue you a CAS with 25th of October rather than 2nd to be on a safe side. you can also call BHC abuja on +234 (9) 4622200 the lady i spoke to the last time i called was very patient and helpful. she would be able to give you a better advice as to what to do. or your school's student advisor. But i think they should be able to issue you a new CAS with 25th october to be safer or ask you to defer your admission.

How will my original doc be returned to me?
My CAS stated just 2 docs (Engineering certificate and a language certificate) but i have applied for the course with other things like reference and transcripts...Should i also include them in my visa application?
I will use my sister bank account should i send her birthday certificate in my application file to prove the relationship?
During online application do we have to upload scanned copies of our supporting docs?

humble_dove: Thank you JideVince for the advice. Do I need a new CAS? I actually got 30 points for the CAS so I'm thinking I should be able to re-use it since nothing has changed about the CAS.

humble_dove: Hello Justwise and all posters on this thread. Well done! I just registered on this forum though I had read through this thread before. I got a refusal today due to an error of some sort. The refusal grounds: I submitted a bank statement which shows a period of 24th July to 21 Aug (28 days) and the money I needed for the application got completed on the 23rd July so did not reflect as a transaction on the statement. The next transaction after that 23rd was 31st July. Now, the BHC didn't consider the period as written above the statement but started counting from first listed transaction i.e. 31st July, hence making the period only 21 days.
My questions goes thus: my school resumes 23rd Sept and I may get a week extension. Do I apply for an Administrative review with a re-printed Bank Statement or I should re-apply? (I'll book an appointment for Monday, 09th Sept if I apply today.) If I re-apply, what references do I need to make in the new application about my refusal? I await your prompt response Mr Justwise and other experienced posters. Thanks.

FYI i want to apply for a tier 4 student visa, that "Points based system: 10 for CAS and 30 for the entire money"
I understand that if i apply on the same date than the beginning date of my courses i will be refused visa.
What about applying 2 weeks before with the entire money in the account but breaking the 28 days rule; as just part of the money was there more than 28 days before and the other will have been there 14 days before?

hi guys please i need some help here, i need to book an appointment for the interview in abuja, but i have an issue with the appointment form, the mandatory part marked with asterix includes an STD code and land line number, can some one clear me on how to fill it, considering the fact i dont have a land line. secondly, i am awaiting a new CAS letter to reflect my "PART" payment, due to tym constraint, do you think i should apply for the appoint with the old CAS number, will the change it in the new letter.
i also want to know if i must pay cash in abuja or can i pay from where i stay, am in owerri.

jubel: Not really heard of that before.But the lady that attended to me before i had my interview said most applicants get refused during the video interview based on one question which is Your 1st few days in uk,where do u plan to stay?
Although once you have your maintainance money that shouldn't be a problem but maybe they expect students to have where to stay for the 1st few days in other not to be roaming about their country looking lost.

@Justwise might shed more light on this because he's more knowledgeable in this.Cheers*

just called the school agent in Nigeria to university of south wales. he said the school wants wants me to apply for another CAS for February. just confused. and from my calculation i still have enuf time to make September. and he told me he appealed to them to assist me get the CAS for September. just thinking maybe God wants me to go next year...
