MissCee: Hi guys, my online status has changed to application ready for collection. Can I go to the vfs centre even without a text confirmation from vfs?Yes! Don't wait! All the best. |
justwise: I usually don't reply to people when they ask the same question repeatedly after an answer has been given but your response to Don Oms's post when he raised the issue of repeated question made me change my mind.Thank you Sir, I appreciate. ![]() |
justwise: Definitely you can do that, even if you made a transaction the same 19th (to show closing balance) you can still print it out and head to UKVAC.Thanks so much, justwise. God Bless! |
jennyfar: Hey guys, do I need to make copies of the forms and documents I'm submitting?Make photocopies of all supporting documents excluding the statement of account. You can make photocopies of the forms too just for record purpose. |
Don Oms: Okay. I think all you need do is get to the nearest branch of the bank you use to the VFS centre you picked and print your statement; then proceed to the VFS centre. About that deposit you had mentioned, note that transactions made on the 19th Sept won't reflect on your statement if you print on 19th so if you want a transaction to reflect, make it on the 18th. While filling the form for your statement request, indicate the duration to end on 19th Sept (GTBank will put the 19th there for you). All the best! Thanks brother, I appreciate. |
Don Oms: Actually, there isn't any difference in the location of your appointment and neither VFS nor UKBA specified any difference. But on the contrary, there are some observations:Just an addition: 1. I believe visas are being processed only at the High commission,Abuja. They've stopped processing at Lagos. 2. The guy who's been rejected at lagos UKVAC must have filled Abuja in the online VAF9 form. If you fill a centre in that form you won't be accepted at another centre when booking appointment. That's what I thought, anyway. |
Don Oms: Okay. It's alright. Did you get my mail yet? Yes, you can print on the 19th Sept & go for your appointment if it's convenient. On the Tier-4 Visa Policy guidance, it is stated that you can print on the 28th day so you're safe. Have you booked your appointment yet? If yes, when is your date?Yeah, I've replied the PM, thanks. |

Deolu_1993: Hey guys pls i need your help with the following questions.1)Do i need to pay the full school fees before applying for the visa and by when do i need to make the payment.2)How much must be in the account for 28days for me to eligible for visa application1.To the best of my knowledge, if you can pay ALL it's fine but you might just be required to pay the compulsory deposit, which is determined by your institution, before your CAS can be issued. 2 If you pay all, you'll need to keep 7200GBP(provided your study site is outside the inner boroughs of London, if within; 9000GBP) in your account. If you have outstanding tuition fee to pay, add it to the maintenance fee and keep for the 28day period. |
Don Oms: I'm actually not angry my bro! Just giving a piece of my mind. A guy once "argued" with Justwise's advice a few weeks ago and the outcome of his "stubborness" was his visa refusal (I'm sorry I'm mentioning this but we have to be frank sometimes). The guy eventually came back here asking for more advise on how to start all over. My point is this: Once you're given advice here, reason with it and do more research if necessary BUT never argue/contradict the advice thus confusing yourself.Yeah, I get you and that's exactly what I'm trying to avoid. I just wanted justwise's verdict too, that's all about it . So you reckon I can print the statement on the same 19th (provided it reflects as the date of closing balance/last transaction) and proceed to the UKVAC to keep my appointment on same day? |
Don Oms: I didn't want to comment on any of your last few posts but I think I should. This same question you keep asking had been answered for you a couple of pages behind and you keep posting the same thing over and over again. If you put your money there on the 22nd Aug, DAY 1 of your counting is on the 23RD and you'll realise the 28TH DAY is 19th Sept. What part of that don't you understand?Sorry if you felt angered by that. To be honest I just wanted justwise to comment on it, that was why I intentionally directed the question at him. Not that I don't appreciate every single contribution my Q has received on here but if you Have seen what I have seen you'd want to be double sure. No margin for error. Sorry once again. |
abbakacici: that will be 19th september not 18th sep. You count numbers of days not night. But if you have like 6200 pounds in your account for 28 days you can the the 1000 to school for accomodation it will show on casOk, thanks. So I can print the statement on 19th, right? |
justwise: Count 28days from that 22ndAug22nd August inclusive, the 28th day is 18th Sept. |
justwise: Well...if you don't have the required amount of money before that 800k was paid into your account then your 28days counting starts the day the complete money was paid into your account.Yes,The required amount was complete after The 800k was deposited on 22ndAug, so when is it safe to print the statement? I'm kind of confused with the day counting thing. Thanks justwise |
justwise: How much was in your account before the 800k was deposited?N1.2m |
[No, its different. The number is issued after you have successfully booked an appointment. quote author=lum1]. Tried that also "record with specified details cannot be found". Pls, is appointment referrence number the same as GWF reference number? Thanks[/quote] |
lum1: Hello,I booked an appointment at the abuja office for tomorrow, monday. Unfortunately as I was about to print, the system encoutered an error and shutdown. I rebooted the system ad when I attempted reprinting it with my GWF number, it show an error message saying the number did not exist in their database. I tried rescheduling and it showed anothere error saying an appointment has already been booked. Would be grateful if help can be proferred. ThanksTry this: cancel the appointment, then book a fresh appointment |

emmy78: @Jidevince. While counting the number of days, should the submission date not be included? 15th to 29th is 11 working days if the submission date is included.Sure, application date should be included. |

jennyfar: I'm trying to book an appointment, pls what does std code mean?Just type 01 or 09 there. State Dialing Code (for landline phone numbers) you'd probably use a mobile number, just type any code. |
jennyfar: I thought I ought to download the forms and fill1.click on apply for visa in this link (follow instructions) http://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/applynow.aspx 2.Download and Fill the appendix 8. |
HOS13: Use the up-to-date form (April 2013).She has to use the online form, which is the same with the Vaf9 form. Its mandatory student applicants apply using the online form, now. This enables you to book an appointment. |
jennyfar: Guys pls which of the forms should I fill, is it the appendix 8 dated Nov 2012 and vaf9 dated April 2013?Appendix 8 and the online form(print out the completed form). That's all! |

princessmoi: A big relief. From the 31st of July to the 26th no transaction was made and it didn't show on the statement, the transaction of yesterdays salary 27th paid into the account showed and then the closing balance of today 28th. Is it okay? The statement is okay. You can make photocopies of the forms for record purpose, nothing else. |
MicSmith: Thanks chiefYou are welcome Sir! ![]() |
