Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Dangote Refinery Is Recruiting, Closes On 15th August by JikanHauwa: 7:57pm On Oct 22, 2016 |
I have never been disappointed with a recruitment process Travelled all the way from Kano despite all the odds and risk to write October, 2015 exam. I didn't hear from them. My application kept reading "under review" Applied for the November, 2015. My application read " CV based SL cleared Waiting for Schedule Interview". I checked my portal page almost every day to this week. I kept telling all my family members that there's hope and is just a matter of time they call me for interview. Unfortunately for me, my status has changed to " position filled and no longer available". It was heartbreaking to my guts. Am very sad. It shall be well and inshaAllah something better will come our way( my other heartbroken friends). 1 Like |

In my honest opinion, Kwankwaso should have been the president of Nigeria. A politician who knows his onions well. A politician who understand what government is all about and could have been a gift to Nigeria economically, politically and socially. One thing I like about him is that: He is comedian. At least he will make you laugh even if the economy is tough. |

biafran soul:Believe me Boko Haram is a complex phenomena now. Any idiot can be Boko Haram. Why did the president call them ghost? Because of the complexity of the situation as him too maybe involved. Buhari has nothing to do with Boko Haram. We strongly suspect the govt of Ebele, his international and internal collaborators behind this wicked false flag operation to destroy our land. Wake up people, some people are hell bent on destroying this country. Those wicked people want to cause a civil war. They carefully chose their target and fully study the resultant effect of the situation. 2 Likes |

I don't buy into politics of regionalism, religiosity, tribalism et al. In 2011, a lot of free minded people like me came out fully to support Jonathan. I didn't hide the fact that i will vote for him. Why? Because i was spoon fed to believe Jonathan was a saint..most importantly, a minority..history in the making! Look what Jonathan is doing to us in AREWA! Let assume he isn't the one causing the wahala, but Northerners, can't he prove to us such? Don't we have the right to know? Conflict that is now being manipulated by govt. Look at how they are playing politics with peoples lives. They are killing northern minorities all in a bid to make them feel bullied by their majority neighbours. Look at what they are doing to my beloved Kano. God help us, 2015!! 1 Like |

@deols. I like your writing style. You are good writer. Read more about the mahram issue and kindly share with us. Yes, I repeat, Arab are racist particular to African(though not all) They dont even respect our highly placed officials. How can we even use a diplomatic channel they dont even care about. Let us suspend going to Hajj for a while,so they can how much we contribute to their economy(they wouldnt care, I assure you). I know why am angry with them. |
Politics / Re: BOTCHED DIPLOMACY AS Saudi-Arabia Deports 510 More Nigerian Women Pilgrims!! by JikanHauwa: 2:53pm On Sep 28, 2012 |
well, I heard of the pairing from people who have been paired. Can you explain how the hajj commission is allowed to act as Mahram? In what book is that written. I have also heard that a group of fifty women may not need one. But I'd require a reference before believing that. No relative of mine was involved but I feel their pain as a Woman and a fellow Nigerian. In fact more Importantly as a fellow Muslim. Maltreating them would be wrong. They did not commit any crime to warrant that. The Nigerian government should seriously address that. I wasnt defending the Saudis. I am more concerned about earning the respect we so much yearn. btw, do you work with the hajj commission? who are the 'we' you are talking about. Wow! Hello. First and foremost, I do not work for the Hajj commission. Am not a scholar either. Do you know the people paired personally? Are they close 2 you? Hope it wasnt a hear say. What makes you think only Nigeria does such a thing? A person returned back with his wife when Saudi Authority adamantly refused her entry sayin he is not her husband. He narrated his ordeal in radio and i heard him. Why only Nigerians? Dont ever believe their lies that it wasnt only us. How can the Hajj commission act as Mahram? Well, am sure you know a lot about this issue. It is based on scholars concensus( though some disagree). Hadith from Bukhari and Muslims. Eg some Hadiths in Bukhari( 1038), Muslim( 133), Dawud(250): woman must travel with a Mahram. Mahram is of two types: direct blood relation or not necessarily directly blood( no marriage btw). The most important for such a rule is security and safeness of road. Now things have change! The Hajj commision may act as a protector of pilgrims as its an authority that guide..the number of people travelling(women particularly) is large. There is no concern about security as the woman isnt alone. A hadith of Bukhari(3400) foretold such a time thus leading some scholars to say a Mahram is not necessarily needed for hajj except the lesser hajj. Why do we need Saudi to respect us? Do you know what other nationals do in Saudi? Pakistanis, Indians et al. An uncle of mine nearly died there because of them(pick pocketing using sharp tools). I have more to say... |
Politics / Re: BOTCHED DIPLOMACY AS Saudi-Arabia Deports 510 More Nigerian Women Pilgrims!! by JikanHauwa: 11:55am On Sep 28, 2012 |
[quote author=deols] I was expecting many ignorant comments. I found enough on the first page. Didnt bother reading the next pages. So, I may be saying something already said by somene else. First, if you are not a Muslim or simply unaware of the principles of hajj, it will do you more good to just keep quiet while the know hows do the talking. This matter goes beyond diplomatic ties. It is a religious one. Nigerians need to start doing things right so they wont keep facing such ridicule as this. call it whatever you like, In Islam a Muslim woman is expected to travel in the company of a male relative. could be her brother, husband, son, nephew. But in Nigeria, the hajj board pairs people who never knew each other as husband and wife in order to deceive the Saudis. I never liked that practice and it shouldn't be encouraged by any Muslim. Only God knows how much immorality can ensue from such a practice. The Nigerian government spends a lot of money sponsoring people for hajj(people who may not even pray five times a day) every year, doing less on the welfare of people who actually pay for hajj. they rent the farthest places away from haram and give one of the worst services to their citizens and then expect to get the respect of other nations? When we start doing things right, we may then start asking to be treated right. My friend, what the Saudi Authorities did is insulting, uncivilise and racist to the say the least. Their is nothing like the Hajj commission deceptively pairing anybody..the Hajj commission can even act as a Mahram to intending pilgrims. Maybe a relative of yours wasnt involve. They intimidated and maltreated them. They hate us men, period. Nobody should depend Saudi here. They suck! We are not happy with them. |

Okija_juju:Mr Okija, you misuderstood sumtin. Humans are not the same, we are different. In your everyday dealings with people, you wil observed such. Human-people-tribe..not the same. Your post is unfactual,as the Hausa's or Fulani ppl hav neva woken up in a day 2 massacre people. There is always a pretext. The berom and other minority ethnic tribes are dragging you( igbo's and co). into dis Now, dont get me wrong, I DO NOT CONDONE KILLING IN ANYWAY,and there are many of us with such mindset. What am talking about is hypocrisy. We hav seen countless times Hausa people being killed, and nobody talks about it. Are we not humans too? This is wat lead 2 most of the violence. Even Igbo land and Yoruba land incidence of attempted reprisals do occur. My friend, we hav no qualms with Igbo's or Yorub. Igbo especially are our partners in business.
