So, semi bad news. Z30 fell on the floor today, a fine line on the screen's glass. is it possible to replace just the screen's glass and how much could it cost? I appreciate any and all assistance. thank you |
OP. You good. but what happened to Bimbo an Yemi + Amaka? Abi na new story line? Wonderful work. Keep it up. |
Getting mine. Oh La La. Z30, STA100-2, 10.2.1.3062

Penboy:MB after pre clinical year(Anatomy, physiology & Biochemistry), MB after first clinical year(Laboratory Medicine(made up of Histopathology, Haematology and blood tr ansfusion, Medical Microbiology and Parasitology, Chemical Pathology) and Pharmacology), MB after 2nd clinical year(Obstetrics & gynaecology, Paediatrics). MB in final year(Internal Medicine, Surgery and Community and Family Medicine). Long story short, four of them. |
Penboy:In every professional exam i.e MB exams you write and get above 70 in any course, you get "bragging rights" in your CV. That said, 70 above is so almost impossible to get, it can nearly always be achieved only in pre clinicals. However, doctors are generally judged by their ability to solve problems and not by distinctions. |
porka:You are right bro'. A PhD is a PhD and a fellowship is a fellowship. They are not equal. But they are equivalent. Before you argue, I suggest you pick up a dictionary or your old maths textbook. However, for the time, energy, resources and research put into getting a fellowship in any medical specialty, when appointed as lecturers, they as rated as PhD with two years research equivalent. Again, before you argue, check your facts well. Finally, meaning no insult of course, your final statement shows your ignorance. No one gets a PhD in medicine or any medical subspecialty for that matter. Doctors may under go clinical research leading to awards of some nominally different degree which varies in different countries. In Nigeria, the only one I know is U.I which awards it as MD. An MD may be PhD equal, I don't know for sure, but even at that it is not MD in medicine, it is in some subspecialty. Kapish? Hope my simple english doesn't confuse you. And btw your welcome, don't mention. |
I have followed many stories on NL, been spellbound by many, but never commented on one so soon after starting to read it. the intricate weaving of past, present and the possible future gives it an edge of suspense and thrill like no other. Nice piece and I close with the cliché "more grease to your elbow". |
Dan, I last commented as you just started the tale. I was kinda cut off from connectivity, boy am I glad, I won't have been able to stand the suspense. Good work bro. Just ebook this s#!t abeg and quick with the second book of the trilogy(it has to be biko) . Well done. |
Microsoft don't just get it do dey? Windows RT is totally useless and unnecessary. Apple has Mac OS for Macs and iOs for everything else, Google is towing the line of one to rule them all : Android and rather than microsoft streamlining their efforts they are busy on a wild goose chase. Windows Phone and Windows RT should basically be made into one experience with great syncing with Windows 8 functionality, people would be more wowed by that. |

ASUU members do not know the police is actually protecting them by not letting them outside their schools. All the artisans, photocopying vendors, food sellers, transport providers e.t.c around the school whose means of livelihood have been all but stopped by this strike and even the students themselves around the area go catch them beat better beat ehn, no be person go tell dem. Then dem go come dey talk say "FG sent thugs to disrupt our peaceful protest". All I know is that ASUU is crazy. |
Xtar. Been a silent reader since. But after you replied someone I just kept my onions to myself, the response was scary. Anyway. To the story. Nice concept. Nice idea. Nice message. Good beginning. However, towards the middle of the story, I just think you didn't do it when it came to proper character differentiation. A simple header before jumping to Imaobong or Eniola would have done magic. At this point, though am at the end I can't seem to get the exact circumstances that lead to their repentance because everything is painfully clutered up. I believe proper editing and reorganisation of the story would do it a great deal. There, I said it. *closing eyes waiting for bashing* |
OP, I disagree, with your BBM for all, so data plan for all. I wrote something about it on another thread. Amma search and bring it here. All data used in legacy BB phones pass through blackberry's data centers which compress the data heavily so that the bandwidth eventually used is so small that networks can afford to give out bogus data plans without stressing their capacity. For the Android and iOS however, the data is direct from server to phone. So special data compression. So no cheaper data plans. It works like this. On a BB if you point your browser to the url nairaland.com, the phone sends a request to blackberry's servers, which request the page from oga Seun's servers compresses it and sends it to the phone. On Android or iOS, the phone requests the page from Seun's servers directly, no compression involved. That's why Opera Mini and UCWeb are popular with those platforms. They offer that kind of compression in a way. BBM messages still pass through BB servers, which is why as Android users will notice, the data used by BBM wouldn't be so much. OP, hope you get it now? Whatsapp matter na different case. Just yesterday somebody took my number from one useless group chat. BBM offers privacy and beautiful functionality. For free. Whatsapp , infact, let's not go there. |

Section 2 'The similarities to that other technological pioneer' (The critical view of BlackBerry now) It's spooky how the BlackBerry situation resembles the Nokia situation. Let me demonstrate. - September 2010 - Stephen Elop announced as CEO of Nokia. January 2012 - Thorsten Heins announced as CEO of BlackBerry. - February 2011 - announcement that Nokia will shift to WP. 2013 - Blackberry is focusing on BBOS 10 and BBOS 7 in different markets - 2011-2012 - About 20,000 Nokia employees get the boot 2011-2013 - About 7,000 BlackBerry employees get the boot - May 2013 - Announcement they're being bought by Microsoft September 2013 - Announcement Fairfax made an offer to buy - 2013 - Bonus controversy, Stephen gets 18 million after the acquisition by Microsoft (negotiated on the same day the sale went down) 2013 - Departure controversy, Thorsten stands to receive 55 million after being acquired (negotiated by Prem Watsa, chairman of Fairfax) Are we seeing a new form of business takeover strategies? Get someone in there that botches things up so a takeover is possible and be handsomely rewarded? Perhaps. But as much as I would like to indulge the conspiracy theorists, what's more likely, is the fact that neither Heins nor Elop were CEO material and gave their companies (unwillingly?) the push it needed to fall off the cliff. Being snatched up by the vultures circling. Their bonus after acquisition is merely part of the vulture strategy to secure takeover support on the board and possibly to secure public support by the CEO for the takeover. The actual article is very long, if u have the patience, head over to the link bellow to read it. http://forums.crackberry.com/armchair-ceo-f410/future-blackberry-rim-857555/ |
bee-y:People and talking, just read through this thread. Obudu to Calabar is about 4 hours now. The ranch is not only for the rich please! And our Governors have all been wonderful in their own rights. And this naming ish you are talking about, the ranch was established in the Nineteen Fifties, Obanliku was created out of Obudu in less than or about 20 years ago. You don't just change the name like that, it is a marketing disaster. And a certain someone was saying change the name to Green Hills Resort, let me see you call a place that isn't green in the dry season a Green Hill. |
Da fück, I've been engaging in useless banter with a mentally colonised, self-deluded Guy who thinks that Nigerians in Nigeria are shït, but still comes to a Nigerian forum created by a Nigerian in Nigeria to spew rubbish. OP, am so sorry for derailing. And I promise not to derail or respond to the so-called liberated Stewie100. Incase you guys don't get what I mean, just take a litle look at his profile and his topics. |
stewie100: you quoted me when i was editing my write up and the website interface distorts write ups sometimes.what a m.oron.Still your diction leaves a lot to be desired, you didn't do as I said. And no, I will not respond to your insults. Please, how am I supposed to know your identity to want to scam you? And why are you scared of your old pictures? Well, only you knows what you did in Nigeria that you are scared of. Deal with it and move on. |
So far as this Biafra is the landlocked South-East only, no problem at all. Carry go! At least Nigeria would lose a lot less criminals leaving us with a managable number. Your hustling would be missed sha. Then at least you people can have all the states you want. All wishful thinking though, the Igbo leaders wouldn't allow the shït to see the light of the day. And oscof South-South go wash hand totally abandon Biafra. |

Hun I just dey observe
