South Africa 1st q - 1.9% then slowed down to 0.7% - that averages out to 1.3%. Look like you had 1.6% 3rd q that was released this week. That mean you're doing 1.5%. We will get last Q results somewhere mid feb-march - and we can declare the 2022 growth.

Remember the growth is measured against last year quarterly data - not subsequent quarter. So this 1.6% 3rd quarter is not against 2nd Q but against last year 3rd Q.

Kenya is adding roughly a million and few thousands every year - roughly a million if you minus deaths - so 2029 - next cenus - it likely to be 55-56m. South Africa likely to be maybe 65M.

That 10 million gap looks less and less likely to be bridge. Uganda will certainly overtake kenya soon - and race ahead - because they are breeding like rats.

1) Let starts with population - South Africa still 10 million ahead - and kenya might actually not overtake it. Kenya demographic had an inflection point somewhere in 2016. This we noted first in National Household Survey which was confirmed by census in 2019.

The largest population was 10-15 - now they should be the 15-20 - and from there next cohort are becoming less and less - another 10yrs - these 15-20 - will be 25-30 - then another 10yrs - mid 2035 - we would have hit demographic jackpot - so to speak

You don't hold US citizenship in the comfort of other nations. You need to have stayed in America for at least 5 yrs, or 3 yrs green card holding if you have a couple in USA for you be legible for citizenship application. Then plus 2years to process the citizenship --- meaning, you need at least 7yrs to 5yrs active stay in USA to win the chance to apply for citizenship.
