Jamestown123: South africa my bro,has the second largest slums in the world after the world champion Kenya. Also country with the highest inequality in the world. My 2 kobo
Our slums are incomparable.... Our townships have infrastructure that rival any city in Africa.....dont compare your no infrastructure having slums to townships like Soweto which has more paved road network, more retail space, more schools, more hospitals and higher electrification than most Nigeria(and Kenyan for that matter)cities
Shma: I've already read your previous ret@rded gibberish. Why did you modify it?
You need to get out from white pristine zones and walk around. You must be brick short of a load, extremely ignorant to think all SA is like where your white bum has been hooked.
Walk around, man.
Also we all know that even the infrastructure in our slums rival that of Nairobi....
Shma: I've already read your previous ret@rded gibberish. Why did you modify it?
You need to get out from white pristine zones and walk around. You must be brick short of a load, extremely ignorant to think all SA is like where your white bum has been hooked.
Walk around, man.
I modified it because I misread your qoute that's all.
samorobo: Again you sound angry, have I struck your nerve without knowing?
EAC has barely started as well.waterfall city has a budget that is valued at $6bn which means when completed it will be worth $6bn. EAC in the other end is an open investment not pegged to any particular figure.you can only compare your entire waterfall worth to what EAC has put in the ground not what’s to come. Now you see SA can’t hack that.
And pls save me the noise, waterfall will have a heliport for helicopters not airport.and your gautrain ain’t part of the city project, heck it’s won’t even stop at the city but about 2km away. Brt is a baby joke,go heckle Kenya with that otherwise the city of Lagos has nailed BRT’s and things like that aren’t alien to us.
Also you can’t afford those canal even if you tried.try incorporating a canal system into your waterfall city and watch the budget scale up to $10bn. Do you really think SA can hack such expensive stone aged infrastructures
samorobo: Thing is he trying to restrict how I talk on a social platform even I ain’t doing g thesame to him.
And yes is a Nigerian site and I normally should be the one telling him that not the other way round,he should use his American browser to locate Kenyaland if he can’t stand me or do t you think so!
Btw you sound angry,I could sense a tinge of anger in your tone. Are you okay??
naa bru....it's your imagination I'm as calm as they come
samorobo: NL is a Nigerian thread,if you have a problem with how I communicate here then pls do yourself a Favour by exiting so you don’t have to deal with my presence here all the time. Nobody has restricted you a kenyan from talking here how much more me a Nigerian.this is like my fathers land ,so yeah deal with it. I have been here long before you discovered this thread.
and your browser you use to visit is most likely american.... So don't come here with your "it's a Nigerian thread" kak.....
samorobo: Comparing EAC with Waterfall is like say abd night.you can tell the difference from a glance. Both looks developed but the former is miles away from anything in SA,so yeah it’s a NAKED EYE TEST THINGY HERE . EAC will give the whole of Europe and America headache when completed talk more of baby SA.
Nope your entire waterfall project is valued at $6bn ,EAC ground infrastructure including reclaiming, great of Lagos amongst other infrastructure is faked at $6.6bn. Can you now see how SA will never hack this. More Sandton inspires no future urban living, that’s some 20th century, pls get creative.
cool story bru.... But the fact is the not finished Waterfall city is already worth the entire budget of EAC.....thats the facts my laaitjie, no amount of delusion will change that... Just like the fact that Waterfall city has 2 airports, BRT, Gautrain, Metro rail ect ect vs EAC which has stone aged derived canals....
Jamestown123: That's not new Zealand my friend, it's philippines. I didn't mention south africa because that one na another slum village. My point is just don't mention new york and nairobi in one sentence.
A Nigerian saying SA is a slum village.... Oh the irony
Should I post south African slums? Nope. Hope you know what I'm talking about. Capetown is on another level - but it has the second-biggest slum in Africa.
Also that is the Philippines .... Not NZ
Also Kyalitsha is actually quite developed by African standards so I'd advise you not to mention it to much in terms of comparisons between slums
samorobo: Now you are getting angry.you are slowly heading back to default setting, pls stay off those emotional for a bit and accept visual facts. This is like nake.d eye test. SA waterfall is valued at $6bn whilst EAC ground infrastructure Alone is valued at $6.6bn,can you now see why SA can never hack it.
Pls tell your wealthy SA to use her riches when next you want to develop an urban centre.you can start by doing a way with the usual sandton’s and go for something more audacious, auspicious, inspiring and most of all futuristic .Basically just go for an upgrade .
The future of urban living lies ultimately in Africa and more specifically at the coast of Lagos, right there in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
The difference between waterfall is like day and night.Taje the log off your eye my bru
Stop with that "naked eye test" nonsense, you look ret@rded when you do that. Fact is the entire EA project is $6 billion while the not even finished Waterfall city is already worth that.
As I said before you are deluded, you think EA is something special in Africa but it's not sorry to break your heart my laaitjie....and Yes SA can hack it hence why there are even bigger projects planned than EA in SA....like waterfall city for example.
samorobo: Lol for starters,it has been pointed out that EAC is bigger than waterfalls. Lol also how is your meagre waterfall, EAC ground infrastructure alone cost about $6.6bn,you think SA can hack that.
And yes pls take the log off your eyes,EAC is not in the league of anything in Africa be it old or new development, maybe Egypt can compete but not SA. EAC will trouble Europe and America when completed, only a few Dubai in the Middle East and a few Asian cities can give it a competition.
My bru waterfall city is twice as big in terms of areas.... And the buildings that are already built never mind those still being built are valued at $6 billion...so yeah SA can certainly hack it.. After all SA is a richer country than Nigeria with much much bigger budgets.
The rest of your post is just delusional drivel... Like the whole Canada / Enugu saga
samorobo: Uhmmm no you wouldn’t.your objectivity stops when it’s comes to SA.it’s just patriotism, maybe a blind one.
I said EA isn't better or more technically advanced than other projects in Africa then used Waterfall city as an example.... Not once did I say Waterfall city was the best or most advanced in Africa or even more advanced than EA, I just stated the fact that it was a bigger development with a bigger budget
Kazikazi: kibera man, SADC is a free trade area since 2008. So u think SA will use TZ to over flood their stuff into Kenya? What have happed since 2008? Have they used Tz to enter Kenya? What about Chinese? Are they using Tz to rule you? When you got that outdated trains from China, were Tz used in a deal? And what will u do when Africas free Trade agreement starts? The same SA you fear the most will overpower your tiny manufacturing! Instead of fearing and mourning about your mismanagement and rampant corruption in your kibera republic, surprisingly, you are mourning about TZ!
Lurker isn't even Kenyan.............and nothing he said was in anyway an insult towards TZ but simply a legitimate question.
samorobo: Look here when I say say eko Atlantic is beyond the paygrade of Africa I really mean it. I stand to gain nothing if SA’s was better and I am right here lying to myself.I know things like this are always a SA thing.you are use to the acknowledgment but you must know that this case is different with this one here.it okay for people to be ahead of you in something, you can’t always have it all.you win some, you lose some. Get it now.
if it were true I would have acknowledged it.....out of all the people on this thread you should know I say it as it is, irrelevant of which country you come from..... As I've said before, you might think EA is better than anything in Africa , but factually speaking it's not
Softwareguy21: hey this is waterfall city. No airport or high speed rail. IS HELIPORT really an airport?
Eko Atlantic is bigger in size
My source: https://waterfall.co.za/#:~:text=from%20a%20vibrant%E2%80%A6-,As%20an%20international%20award%2Dwinning%20development%2C%20Waterfall%20has%20everything%20you,four%20hotels%20and%20a%20heliport.
samorobo: Joke of a boy ,pls get serious and stop wasting my time.Lagos has brt literally everywhere so yeah Eko Atlantic will have those since it just at the tip of Victoria Island. And as for high speed rails it will have those, plus Lagos green line will be passing through EAC all the way to lekki.so yeah that’s double train.
Also why will EAc have an airport when it’s wasnt in it phase 1 plan but phase 2.it sold its phase 2 plan to another(not sure how many time I have to repeat this so my point can reach home) developer and those will have airports, stadiums. This is city (ocean city) is directly at the top of EAC. Also there is a proposed lekki airport at the lekki free trade zone( dangote refinery, lekki deep seaport and the likes are all here) so why should EAC reintroduced airport again when the closest one would be at its tip and Lagos would be having 3.can you see it’s makes no economic sense.
And also yeah by mere looking you can tell EAC is ahead of anything in Africa(very advanced asf!!),SA included. And yes it has canal running through out the city from residential quarters to district centers, and I am talking street by street. It also seats right in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean plus every single building put up there would be insanely green and energy efficient, now that right there is something the Continent can’t hack, not even SA.
keep deluding yourself that EA is ahead of anything in Africa... Hell why don't we just say its the greatest city in the world ..... You remind me of a member on the military thread that is convinced that Nigeria has the strongest military IN Africa.....
samorobo: Okay let’s try this another way. Go on,tell me what does waterfall has over Eko Atlantic. What will it have that will be better than what is obtainable in Eko Atlantic.
well it has BRTs, high-speed rail, 2 x Airports......that alone is more than EA.... Bit hey... EA has canals
I didn't say it was better.... I simply said it was bigger and technologically its at the very very least equal to EA..... In SA we focus more on design than tall buildings....
I've seen these videos my bru although nice they ain't in any way or form better than Waterfall City
Only exemplary thing about EA is that it was reclaimed from the ocean.... As for the city itself, its nothing spectacular or unusual to other new developments around Africa
Covert1: Brace yourself the Nigerian military has taken delivery of most of the items on its strategic modernization programme. In this case the Navy is keeping diligently with it's short, medium and long term acquisition goals. A great delight to see irrefutable evidence.
Yet someone still cluelessly showed up claiming GFP is close to accurate because apparently the NA numbers of men and materials you submitted have been wiped off in combat When reality is most of the new lads haven't even seen combat. Meanwhile the NA continues to stand up more combatant troops and inducting new non-attrition equipments none of which was accounted for in the GFP estimates of manpower & hardware. These guys have no clue how Nigeria works.
“Dearsan Shipyard was selected based on its track record and the conviction that the shipyard would be able to construct a platform that could be deployed as an OPV in peacetime, while having the capability and flexibility to be quickly outfitted with sensors and weapons to re-role the platform for warfare and maritime defence purposes at a cost-effective price,” he said.
Covert1: Different Navies different classification. These are not aircrafts. Check out the Israeli Navy.
my bru and since when have the NN classified these ships as light Corvettes?? Most Navies follow very similar classification give or take a couple like Argentina.... And Israel follow a similar classification as most Navies... There Sa'ar 6 class Corvettes weigh nearly 2000t
Covert1: A pity you suffer comprehension problems. You didn't see the difference between peace time roles and war time roles potentially giving us a max 6 number of Frigates in any eventuality something we have said for years now confirmed by the Navy itself. This is real.
I pity you for not knowing the different roles of ships even though you claim to be a military researcher....at best they are light corvettes at best, typical corvettes weigh between 2000-3500t....certainly not light frigates in fact the Meko200 is a light frigate at nearly 4000t that's 4Xs the OPVs in your article.
Covert1: Multi-purpose OPV/ LIGHT FRIGATES On Order
JANES DEFENSE WEEKLY
The Nigerian Navy signed a contract with the Turkish shipyard Dearsan covering the delivery of two new 76 m offshore patrol vessels (OPVs) on 3 November. It released a video of the signing ceremony during which Chief of the Naval Staff Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo said the order is a milestone in achieving the navy's 2021–2030 strategic plan. He described the OPVs as high-endurance vessels capable of maritime interdiction, surveillance, special forces operations, search and rescue, disaster relief, and providing fire support to land forces.
The Nigerian media reported that both OPVs are expected to be delivered within 37 months. In a statement, Dearsan said the ships will be based on its OPV 76 design, configured according to Nigeria's requirements, built entirely at the shipyard's facilities, and equipped with Turkish systems. When contacted by Janes , Dearson provided specifications for the Nigerian ships that were slightly larger than the ones listed on its website for the OPV 76. While their length remains the same at 76.8 m, they will have a beam of 12 m rather than 11 m, a draft of 3.3 m rather than 2.9 m, a displacement of 1,250 tonnes rather than the 1,100 tonnes, and a crew of 47 rather than 43.
Covert1: Puzzlying how you lie and misinform with a straight face for your country on a public fora. Quite shameless. Meanwhile here's mounting evidence to disprove you at every turn.
Here is existence of an NN Frigate in dock to be replaced with a new one by NN Navy planners
MAN1960ii: South Africa can't even maintain it's existing military platforms. From grounded Gripen fighter jets to being unable to pay workers.. such a pity
Denel has nothing to do with the defence force and secondly if I posted every time a NAF fleet was grounded I'd need 2 pages.... Nou chill my bru our Grips are just taking a break... They will be back up next month as per your own source
kikuyu1: AARRGHHHH!? Assuming it's actually true: wtf do you post this ishyt at least once a week?
because South Africa obviously pains him..... If I had to post all the sh1t and bad news of the Nigerian defence force, I'd be posting every hour of every day.
South Africa thankfully is very transparent journalistic wise, anysort of incompetence especially Government related will be made public.... What has happened to SAAF is not un common and there are Air Forces like the Luftwaffe which have really had to cannibalise euro fighters...but thankfully the new SAAB contract has already been signed
