What an irony of statement when apparently their own internal sources love to shove it as often as possible in the face of their own elites. Actually we in Nigeria having known the crises for years and reeling it out for timely remedy even though hated for it as can be gleaned on Nairaland are only trying to help as it's a lot better having a little cousin South Africa in the mould of Britain to the US as an ally to fight the common enemies of Africa's destiny in future wars than have to shoulder all the responsibility as often is the case when little sub-saharan republics unravel into full blown conflict.

SOUTH AFRICAN GRIPENS STILL GROUNDED AS OF TODAY JANUARY 28TH 2022
https://www.defenceweb.co.za/aerospace/aerospace-aerospace/saaf-gripens-still-grounded/

In effect SA has no frontline fighter Jet in the skies, pilot redundancies as a result, left with some 12 surviving unservicable Gripens of the original 26 bought the rest since cannibalized. The Lord have mercy if Zimbabwe decides to shred all SADC pacts and mobilizes to invade.
read your own article... None have been cannibalised, as stated they will be operational in the new financial year.... Which is in 4 days

- Nigeria is not getting any M346... Fact! Neither are you getting any Frigates...just LSTs... And not very big ones at that as well.

Negative. The Nigerian Airforce are getting those birds. The rumours were confirmed true in a documentary on the NAF in the previous year. Delivery was probably delayed but we'll get those birds.

On the Frigate issue, the Nigerian Navy in a press statement last year, which I personally witnessed in the Naval headquarters, Abuja said they've nominated a frigate to replace the NNS Aradu and are having "funding issues " in getting the vessel to the homeland.

Nevertheless, both services of the armed forces are focused on following the development plans that have been in place since the 2010s. The Nigerian Armed Forces is developing at a steady pace. Please let's talk with facts in our arguments.
Show me the contract my bru wink................I could also say SAAF is getting A400Ms or C130Js because they are interested in them.............Just being interested in something don't mean you getting it wink

When you factor in the fact that it is a smart city(SA isn’t), took water transport within busy district into consideration,energy efficient city with all buildings expected to meet the green EDGE standard,a marina right in the middle of the city,renewable energy even down to refuse then you will see that waterfall,SA and the rest of the world(save for a very few cities across the globe ) is loosing badly.

And yes eko Atlantic will harness the airports and stadium that is originally supposed to be in her second phase. A typical exalt “same shit,different smell”. They all belong to thesame whatsapp group.

And what do you mean by ferry actual sh1t?
who says Waterfall city buildings aren't energy efficient or green or Smart?? :

Building a smart resilient city

Waterfall is unique in that it has been built from the ground up, leveraging the very best in urban design and green technology. Sustainability has been integrated into every aspect of this world-class development that is the cornerstone of Attacq’s and the Waterfall Management Company’s development process for this flagship precinct.

Eko Atlantic does not have an airport, stadium, light rail or skycar... That is a fact..

And it is stated that the canals are also part of the swage/drainage system of EA

As for the rest well EA, does not have a light rail since that was scrapped for normal busses and no mention of sky cars, stadiums or airports

Look I know a lot about waterfall city and most development in SA owing to the fact that I watch “livinginSA”. So yeah I can confidently tell you that waterfall is yet another menlyn city,rose bank,sandton and the likes,nothing futuristically impressive.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zVMC0F3B5s

The canal is an advanced transport option created to ease traffic and faster Urban movement in peak hours.
And your gautrain is just a drive through or stopover at the city,EAc has its own private train moving throughout the entire city not sharing with the rest of Lagos .

Waterfall like the rest of sandton and South Africa is anything but smart.eko Atlantic is 21st century city with cutting edge technology .you are basically replicating more previous south africa not future South Africa ,get the difference.
EAC is an energy efficient smart city that has a mandate for all its building to meet the “green EDGE standard”,same cannot be said fir sandton ,waterfall or the rest of SA likewise Europe and US.For starters no where in SA is even a smart city just some basic 20th century stuff.

https://www.ekoatlantic.com/our-green-commitment/

And I said eko Atlantic development phase 2 couldn’t take place so they sold it off to new developers which has incorporated airport,stadium into their city planning and its just adjacent eko Atlantic,nothing seperares both. Once they both developed it would look like they both grew together not knowing they are entirely different projects with different developer.by extension of their closeness visitors,residents can equally use the airport if this other city to get to EAC.

Just in case you missed this infrastructural marvel. Watch.

South Africa does not have a Muslim population like Nigeria nor is it in a region of the Sahel susceptible to jihadi radicalization. Terrorism in relation to Nigeria is a complex power game involving internal and external dynamics to bring a black giant to its knees. Something the Nigerian Armed Forces has appreciably brought to a halt by the force of arms. However if ISWAP were to show up on your borders I repeat you couldn't do same not with your present army.

The countries you mention put together does not measure up to the exploits of the Nigerian military elsewhere. Don't be so deluded you choose not to see reason. The RUF alone was a standing army just like ISWAP today only the latter is even more deadlier for they come to die something none of the combatants where you mention can be compared to. And please don't mention CAR because you'd be dressed down let's just honor the sacrifices of the men who paid the supreme sacrifice their. The other countries you mention are PKO, SA operates with other countries else it would have turned out a disaster just like the CAR. In Mozambique the Rwandans are doing much heavy lifting not the South Africans who only carry out some specialized operations. The terrorists in Mozambique don't have the men nor the resources to compare to ISWAP.

Nigeria's Armed Forces is in very good shape and to all intents and purposes the very best Sub-saharan Africa has today. Modernization continues apace with anticipated deliveries of more game changing and wonder weapons. Soon to be added to the inventory is 24 M346 FAs that alone changes the dynamics of Air Warfare from Cape to Cairo. The logistics of this aircraft brings capacity and capabilities that gives the NAF decision advantages in a dedicated war environment. The Navy is on schedule to receive two Landing Ship Tanks (LSTs), also expecting Light Frigates and at least one purpose built Frigate in the class of the Aradu. Most of these are already paid for. Really are we supposed to be doing this again, it's clear like daylight you are no longer a viable competitor we have since moved on. The evidence is glaring for all to see. Apart from these acquisitions the Navy is active at Sea with it's current assets in full operations something that cannot be said of your Navy. I haven't mentioned the NA in all of this matrix.

Nigeria's procurement is based on Purpose-To-Task with the finest and best trained officers in all of Africa unlike your bloated SANDF with a moribund Navy, depleted Air Force and pot bellied Army of Generals who can't even match in step. While we have inducted 3 Air Superiority & Multi-role BVR capable JF-17 Thunder Fighter Jets and F-7Ni Airguards for point Air Defense Nigeria does not currently have any Air-Air threats, we are only preparing for future wars. No, Morocco is not even on our radar I can tell you, our position is clear and our military planners backed by our political masters are heading to be the number one military power in Africa and on budget.

Let us quit this tete-a-tete. Any geo-strategic thinker can see the trajectory of Nigeria.
- Mozambique is also not in the Sahel and neither does it have a massive Muslim population yet its being over run by islamists and now we are clearing them out with devastating efficiency.... Even with our air support problems..... There is a reason your government requested our SFs to help you fight BH. Secondly a force like BH will never be able to establish itself in SA,the security services (private and public) is simply to sophisticated for that to ever happen.

- CAR was a (political) disaster yes, but certainly not a military one...... 200 lightly armed SANDF soldiers vs 4000 rebels which fyi were better armed than BH ever was with IFVs, APCs, several technicals ect ect yet raised the white flag after loosing close to 1000 men vs only 13 SA soldiers.... As for our other exploits... Well that's well documented. Also the Rwandans are only protecting Total's assets... That's it, they are barely doing any fighting as we speak

- Nigeria is not getting any M346... Fact! Neither are you getting any Frigates...just LSTs... And not very big ones at that as well.

- you have Neighbours with Mig 29s my bru? That's not a threat? Even worse is Nigeria has no ground based air defence so literally all you have are 3 JF17s and a bunch of obsolete mig21s/F7s

It’s is miles ahead of anything in Africa. And yes the second phase of eko Atlantic was supposed to include an airport,but they just sold it to a new real estate group that will be reclaiming their lands adjacent to eko Atlantic.And their new city dubbed “OCEAN CITY”would feature a massive airport,stadiums,amphitheater,office buildings,retail and the likes. So yeah there you have it.

Get me any city that has its busy business district tailored with a canal for waterway transport across every street then I will take you serious. That alone singles out eko Atlantic.

Also will your city be having a rail service and skycar,personal rapid transit across the city.
as I said nothing about Eko Atlantic makes it more impressive than even waterfall city.... Not to mention other bigger developments in SA.... Also there ain't anything about airports being built in Eko Atlantic either.... You making up random things doesn't change that.......if you think a simple canal is the be all end all of all modern transportation infrastructure then I have some seriously bad news for you my laaitjie.... They have existed even before roads!! Canals are literally less developed than a simple road..... And yes Waterfall city already has metro rail, gautrain and brt services....

The GFP ranking is fvcked up, I took my time to study the ranking my self and I discovered that the ranking is a child's play, in 2021 GFP said Nigeria have 2,000 armored vehicles now in 2022 GFP said Nigeria have 2,019 armored vehicles and this is not true because the Nigerian army alone received up to 300 armored vehicles not including other forces.. The total number of our active personal has been the same since 2018 while the nigerian army has been recruiting thousands of troops just last year Nigeria army alone recruited 8,000 men in the first six months and another 4,800 past out in November bring the total numbers of troops recruited to 12,800 not including other force and that's one third of the entire south African army.. there are many things that I saw in their 2022 update that makes me believe that Global fire power ranking is a child's play and one of those things are 1: ranking a declining South Africa military ahead of Almighty Algeria

What do you guys think about my investigation?
GFP is a pile of trash....hence why I posted and said it was trash.....SA should never rank ahead of Algeria.... Solidly third on the continent yes but not ahead of Algeria

The evidence of your delusion is clear for all to see making comparison between light terrorists in Mozambique with ISWAP in the LCB and the Sahel but of course no surprises to how low you'd sink to score cheap points. Let ISWAP show up in your country and you bet that same Nigeria will be the one's you will be begging to save your republic. I have said it before and I repeat if ISWAP were to exist in any other sub-saharan African country the Caliphate would have been a reality a long time ago.

I take with a pinch of salt you agree the GFP rankings are flawed because I know deep down being irrational you are gallivanting. What's irrefutable is the rankings are flawed because it does not reflect actual reality but the figment and perception of the authors imagination.

The Covert may agree with a narrative doesn't mean endorsement. I don't subscribe to GFP as a credible source for military rankings heck I don't even agree with the open source info of the CIA knowing the black arts of intelligence is to lie in plain sight whilst feeding their masters back home the true reality and state of things.

The rankings should properly be in this order

Sub-Saharan Africa
1. Nigeria
2. South Africa

North Africa
1. Egypt
2. Algeria

This more accurately reflects the geopolitical order of power rankings. GFP is not credible.
- A force like BH will never even be able to establish itself in SA..... The fact that they exist in the first place in Nigeria its self is a glaring failure of Nigeria's security services as a whole

- The SANDF have more than proved themselves in Moz, DRC, CAR, S-Sudan, Burundi ext..... In fact the M23 which were even larger and better equipped than BH were destroyed in a matter of months by the SA led FIB

- I've never said that GFP is a credible source,in fact i even said its trash today...... Yet you fully supported GFP and its ranking criteria back in 2018 when it ranked Nigeria ahead of SA.

- A country that has only 3 3+ gen fighters, no subs, no frigates and can't defeat a ragtag rebel group in its own borders can never be ranked 1st...certainly not above a country like SA.

Just be happy you still rank above Morocco cool

No way we are ahead of Algeria. Yes our sophistication of economy, level of industrialisation, available manpower of fighting age is miles ahead, but all that is cancelled out by not only the sheer size of their military, but also how modern and logistically rational it (Algerian military) all is.

Personally, I rank it thus:
1. Algeria;
2. Egypt;
3. South Africa;
4. Nigeria;
5. Morocco.
Egypt above Algeria imo.... Just the sheer size of the Egyptian military makes even Algeria look small

Lol dude eko Atlantic is the most advanced,most developed,most audacious city project in Africa.pls go figure.
Capetown like most European cities is a beautiful 20th century city. With a 20th century urban planning and layout. The world has longed moved from that. It’s of thesame reason most Asian cities like those in China,Singapore looks more advanced and futuristic than European cities(same thing will happen in developing countries of today as their cities might look more advanced than most early 21st century cities in let’s say 7 decades from now).they are all world class but some have a hand over the other and that is time,more advancements,more strategic planning,more incorporation of modern day technology into urban planning and settlement(there is a reason you can compare old Jerusalem to modern day Jerusalem or European cities. It was a city of its time but now that style of urban development is outdated and more modern technology made it so). For instance most archaic styles buildings in European doesn’t have the normal conventional smart features as seen in most 21st century buildings.you manually have to do everything yourself even down to the least mundane things smart features has saved us from.you might try to change the interior decor but the architectural layout may not accommodate modern technologies except you want to pull the entire building down,and you and I know that aint happening in Europe.

Eko Atlantic is a smart city with highly advanced technologies and was designed by some of the best and finest urban designers.it’s took advanced technology and engineering to get eko Atlantic to where it is today .talk of the great walll of Lagos,marinas and the likes.

All building in eko Atlantic are meant to be green and energy efficient,now this is something those royal palaces and Victoria architecture in Europe and Cape Town can’t achieve except they are pulling the entire city down.look guy I can go on and on but let me stop here.
My bru you can write your lectures all you want however it ain't going to change the fact that the likes of Waterfall city which isn't even the biggest development in SA is twice the size of Eko Atlantic, has/had a bigger development budget, has facilities like a Airports(yes plural since there is one built specifically for helicopters), several schools, universities, hospital...a mall that has the retail space equivalent of nearly half the entire Lagos, the newest and most modern office buildings you will ever find...........Eko Atlantic is nice, and the fact that it's being built on land reclaimed from the Atlantic is state of the art however the project as a whole is certainly not any more modern than what is being development in SA or even in countries like Egypt.

This is the current trend and new normal in the NAF since 2015. This exceeds anything elsewhere in sub-saharan Africa. Nothing like capacity building which is just as important as building capabilities. And better to build from inside-out as Nigeria does in all three Armed Services than outside-in as we've seen with a certain no longer viable competitor down South. As I've said year's back the man is more important than the machine. The machine in the wrong hands as we see in some Arab armies or as in Afghanistan is a waste of time.

I have seen waterfall and maybe not lanseria and I can tell that in as much as waterfall is very beautiful it’s ain’t half as close to eko Atlantic(waterfall is yet again another Sandton).eko Atlantic has a freaking canal right in the middle of the district for water commuting with pedestrians lane and roads on both sides of the canal.

Just imagine a typical busy New York district with scrapes on both side of the road,car horning and honking with large swathes of crowd running to their destination via footpath and right in the middle of all this is Amsterdam kinda canal with a deep clean sky blue water running throughout the entire district from street to street.now let me know when any other African country can hack this.
what you said now is 100% subjective and not based on fact, since beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but when you made your original assertion you made it sound as if no development in Africa can compete in terms of infrastructure.....

But although I don't agree that Eko Atlantic is infrastructurally more beautiful than even Capetown(since my taste is different to yours) Its pointless arguing subjectives opinions on what is beautiful to one and not to the other...
