horsepower102: Yes I am fully aware that our hands are tied and the federal government is obsessed with control of so many things. I have read the federal exclusive list in details and it made we realize how much backward the federal government has kept us because of it.
BUT
That should never be used as an excuse. The state governors need to use the little powers that they have effectively and to the fullest capacity. It's just like trying to solve a problem from the surface. If you don't address the root cause, you would end up showcasing what seem to be appealing just for a while. |

horsepower102: We Igbo have come to terms with the fact that Nigerian federal government will never do that. That's why our only option is the state government. Brother. People(not just government) are willing to replicate whatever you see overseas here in the south east. But the problem is technical restrictions from the center. Do we really have power to do anything around those water fronts? You can't even regulate anything concerning crude oil without the so called PIB bill. These are the things Nigerians should sit down and address if they are willing to embrace any semblance of progress |

Christianity Etc › Re: Can A Human Sacrifice Atone For Sins? by Jman24(m): 8:33pm On Mar 28, 2021 |
GeneralDae: There was a need for the jesus character. The Jesus character taught the jews the most important tenets of the law. Stoning people for not keeping sabbath makes no meaning in today's world or burning the promiscuous daughter of a priest alive is a barbaric law. If we follow Jesus, we can just live by his moral teachings, and we do not need the law and the system it was meant to govern.
Your other points about sin sacrifice are not the major reasons jesus himself gave for coming into the world. This is the reason the Jesus character himself gave:
And even the son of man came not to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many. Mark 10v45.
The crowd hailed Jesus as King when he rode on a donkey in Jerusalem. The Jewish leaders became scared that if it continued that way and the Romans hear about these things, the Romans would come into their land to destroy so many in the nation ( who have now become disciples of Jesus). It was therefore fitting that Jesus alone ( one man) should die than for this mass destruction in the city in the search for those who proclaimed Jesus as new King of the Jews. Jesus was delivered to the Romans, and he gladly became a Ransom to the Romans in order to spare his followers who continued with his message. The message we hear today all around the world even though a lot has probably been corrupted down the centuries.
And he said to them, I have told you I am he. If you seek me, let these ones go their way. John 18v8
If you study the gospels well, you would see that Jesus was also scared for his disciples and beckoned on them several times to pray so that they too would not fall into temptation. He prayed to God to preserve them.
He was quick to present himself to the Roman guards who came to arrest him, saying: I am he, let these men go. Stop getting played by different philosophers in the good book As old as human existed, there are people who support jungle justice and there are those who don't(even in same area). But the constant there is "justice" It still exists till today. So when the biblical Jesus frowns at jungle justice, it isn't a new thing. Hope you got that Africans! |

Abagworo: Getting pictures of bad road and then making it an issue of politics is quite wrong. The aim of most people that post images of bad roads on social media is to bring attention of the authorities to them and not to abuse the Governor or President. There have been Governors in Imo State since 1914 therefore you cannot single out any particular one for indictment. You wouldn't really blame people in a country alien to development. Primitivity is at work; (What I call the elastic limit of tribal/political jibes) |

Ken4Christ: You are invariably saying that you don't believe in Christ for he brought the gospel of grace. You see. Shifting goal post again. I bring facts you bring the blame game for what you don't fully understand as an African (I presume) |
Christianity Etc › Re: We Are Not Under The Laws But Are Expected To Obey The Law by Jman24(m): 2:29pm On Mar 20, 2021 |
Ken4Christ: Grace is not a license to sin. The advantage it has over the era of the Law of Moses is opportunity to ask for forgiveness and make right your wrong.
If not for grace, the woman caught in the very act would have been stoned to death.
If not for grace, one of the thief who was crucified with Christ would not have received mercy.
But grace has expiring date. One day, the opportunity given to mankind to embrace the gospel of Christ will be over and you will be doomed for life. In other words there was no grace when biblical ananias and Sapphira were struck to death Just for not bringing small "change" from sales. Something our people pack from the pulpit on a daily.. What you call grace by any logical reasoning had existed for as long as the world existed. Just that some people ain't lucky in getting away with whatever they do. |

Ken4Christ: You said nothing. Please, go back to school and read English language. You don't even know what it means to be justified.
The Scripture simply said that we are not justified by keeping the Law of Moses. What justifies is our faith in Christ Jesus. Please, stop frustrating the grace of God in your life.
If you want to keep the Law of Moses, you must keep all. I am sure that you are not even keeping the Law of Sabbath.
Those who attempt to live by the Law of Moses and don't keep all are under a curse.
Since you prefer to be under a curse, go ahead.
I am cruising on with the grace that Jesus brought. And his grace is sufficient for me. Very funny. But you can commit sins like adultery and still ask for forgiveness because you are justified by faith, you won't be under curse o for breaking it in the first place. But when you try obeying all the law and mistakenly break "thou shall not commit adultery", that's when you will be under curse... Can Africans hear themselves? |

Matthew 25:46 Just ask us, we will TEACH you what our book says {Matthew 28:20} we will keep our calm while JEHOVAH use Jesus and his angels to do the needful! Wao! Nice exposé When I studied geography in secondary school, I had wanted to be more inquisitive about longitude and latitude lines. I stumbled on a point where zero longitude meets zero latitude, then I had a rare feeling there was something hidden about the old Eastern region of Nigeria. That point was so close to the "Bight of Biafra" |

I ask u this right now what does south east want to restructure u can't still answer.
If you must know the only thing keeping south east in Nigeria is not resources or anything, it's just the fact that we the true Nigerians know other regions are seating back watching u fool around once the east goes west will want to go too.
Apart from that, if not for that reason Nigeria would have let u hv ur BIAFRA I just realized you are a comedian. "We the true Nigerians." I can't engage you in a discussion. |
