UI is a federal University. If there is no tribalism, as it is in most government university in selection of VC, a Hausa or even Benue man can be VC

you don't know what you're saying,Yorubas can never allow hausa or Igbo VC and within them (Yorubas) tribalism exists to the greatest level as an ibadan man won't allow ijesha or other tribes , that's one of the basics of the crisis,Also the out- going VC wants his stooge there hence the Union's refusal,mind you that said stooge is an ibadan man.

@all saying the bursar is upright, you know nothing and I won't blame you.
1. Staffs are gearing up for yearly increment and all of sudden the bursar announced a change of calendar year to January instead of the normal October -to - October. And refused to pay the money accrued to it. He got busted when staffs not even the unions enquired from other universities. He later released the accumulated arrears of the 3years increments #1k for junior & #3k for senior staffs. ( Imaging how much that guy wan Cart away?)

2. The issue of pension deductions been deducted from source (FG level) and deducted again in UI. That bursar was covering it up until staff found out with documents backing their Discovery.

3. UI is owning PROMOTION ARREARS since 2016 Courtsey of the bursar,FG claimed not owning any universities before the Advent of IPPIS, Other universities are not owning their staffs any promotion arrears.The payment is yet to be made.(where's the money?)

4. The bursar is non academic staff and expected to align with NASU/SSANU in terms of staffs welfare but reverse is the case hence the vexing the unions.

5 . As a bursar (in my own opinion) you're not expected to own/have at least 5cars in your possession but he's a fan of exotic cars

just pray it's released on time, Happened to me year 2000 , my English was WITHHELD and they refused to even release the slip saying they don't release results slip twice.it took them 3years to release that English after third batch. Benin city WAEC na crase!...I'm still using that results though they gave me C on that subject.

go to any national population commission NPC to get death certificate, it's a federal agency and they treat all issues regarding birth and death certificate.

Its in Fed. university scheme of service that once a non academic staff acquires PhD, he /she should be converted to academics.

I had similar case on telegram messenger,firstbank (my bank) is useless.unitybank(scammer's bank) ask me to make a report through my bank which i did. Firstbank said they can't do anything cos the transaction was successful, Unitybank ask me get a court order, lawyer advised i forget the money cos its little ad process would be cumbersome(im ready to pay him o). Zenith bank did the best move on behalf of OP, at least they shakara the scammmer. My 20k still with scammer,firstbank and unity bank did nothing.
