Really, I get what Candour is saying. I was at the Deeper Life Church all through my service year. I chose their fellowship over and above the sometimes roudy NCCF because I felt I needy to be around some serious Christians. Yes, the church does not kick against tithing; but neither do they trumpet it in the manner the OP is doing it. Today, I still have many Deeper Life friends from that association.

Deut 14:22-29 talks about the tithe eaten by the individual and of the tithe given at home every three years. Malachi talks of the tithe brought to the storehouse in the temple. That is, brought and given to the temple workers or what is called the priesthood.
You cannot quote a passage on two types of tithe and claim that These verses below remains the true and only guideline. Any other format is a lie and a fraud. Talking boldly and charismatically or spamming does not equal to truth.

Teebest82: Sometimes i do wonder if God is really testing my faith or not.I'v determined never to be collecting pay for playing musical instruments(i play the drums and keyboard) in churches,but i'v been facing some sort of challenges for quite a while now.I graduated 5years ago,no work,it's not like i had a poor result,i had distinction out of school(HND),although i taught in some schools for a while,but the pay was not worth the stress,even i had been having an on and off relationships with the ladies,well i guess that's because of my financial status,God really created me well and i do thank HIM for that always.I believe there is a blessing attached to playing musical instruments in churches without collecting pay,most of my fellow instrumentalists collect pay,but to me,it's like they have already collected their own blessing.To the believers here,is it that my time is yet to come?or am i not yet in the right church?i play in redeem,but you know we are having so many redeems around,i don't know if i should look for another one

Honestly the best way to preach to someone is by making the person's life better through our actions.

I believe lots of atheist will come back to the church when the church starts giving back to people and not only take from them.
