That scripture is not about the general tithe which is given to God. The general tithe was done every year and it is taken to the place of worship . But this particular one is another tithe which is used for love feast the giver eats it with the poor. It's done every 3 years. It's like God saying . " take 10% of your income to the house of God and take another 10% for charity". That's the simplest way I can explain it.

Tithes can be paid from anything . Provided the church can use them. Not everything was accepted as tithe in the bible days. Unclean plants and unclean animals were not accepted . It's wise to use money since money represent your labour and it's a medium of exchange

Jesus did not fulfill tithe . And there's no single scripture in the bible that condemns or indicate an end to tithing

Tithes and offerings are eternal principles . They existed before the levitical priest hood.
The kindom of God has many principles. Tithes , offering , alms giving ,fasting , prayer , worship etc. these principles had been there before the law or levitical priesthood.

Christians are not tithing just because the law say so. But rather because it's a principle . If you don't believe in tithing you should not believe in offerings also. Let's worship God with empty hand.

Tithe records in some churches is sign of commitment . But since you've not been around no one should hold you for it after all you were probably paying tithes where you were.
