THE ADVERB 'ONLY' MISPLACED.

DON'T SAY: I only saw him once after that.

SAY: I saw him only once after that.

'ONLY' should be placed immediately before/afore the word which it qualifies. (Here, 'only' qualifies the adverb 'once' and not the verb 'saw'.

e.g, I slapped Seun Osewa twice for 'only' trying to befriend my girl friend. grin

PHRASE: 'to be in someone else's shoes'
To be in someone else's shoes means to experience something from another's point of view.
Examples:
If you were in her shoes, you wouldn't have gambled that money away.
If I were in your shoes, I think I'd write to her rather than try to explain over the phone.
Can you cite an example using this phrase? Give a try!
Do share this phrase with your friends and let them try this.

CARLISTO77:
Kindly elaborate on the possibility of a Thesis to enjoy DECIMATION....
If the options would be Obscurity, meaning darkness, then in its proportion, it would have to suffer DECIMATION ,
rather than enjoying DECIMATION....
obscurity doesn't only mean darkness, it may mean snarlness, hard, harduous, hachulean, obfuscating, zag, zig-zag. So let's say it means OBFUSCATING then I think it would match.

Elliotwiz1: "how is you" please, is this correct, and if it is correct, why? Can you back it up with any of the rules of concord? Please i need replies because i see it everywhere. It looks wrong to me.
there's no need to back it up with concord jare, it is what those 21century rappers are instilling in da brains of dia fans. Imagine Eminem saying YOU IS THERE WHEN YOU'S KICKED MY BUTTS! Lol, it's damn erroneous jare, 'you' remains plural and only plural verb e.g are must succeed it... E.g YOU ARE SO VERY STUPID FOR CHOOSING TO BE A STREET HO.
