>>> POEM<<<<
......THE GRAVE YARD.......

In a deep dream
I had an odyssey, clear as chrysolite.
I walk through the grave yard,
Silent to none.

In the grave yard,
I saw clearly the vision of life,
The absurd past of the deads,
Grumble and rumble on their past,
Lamentation fill the air yet rectify can't be made.

The grave yard is never silent
It a ground of judgment
Where the dead realise their action
And had i know spell out in their lips.

No correction in the grave yard
Except now or never.
No mercy in the grave yard,
What you give
Is what you have.

No New Tomorrow...
http://www.poetfreak.com/text/248012/no-new-tomorrow.html

So what's the difference tell me?
Today you see some people crying
While some are lisping there lips in euphoria
Those that laughed yesterday
Are those that are crying today
So is tomorrow gonna be of any difference?
Common guys no new tomorrow o!
Yes we have to hope in life
That's what keeps us all going on taking risks
But in life everything is in nada
Of death and life
You go you come back
We have Jesus we have the old nick
We have males and females
Illumination and nunnery
Positives and negatives
Full stop and et cetera
So we only hope for the morrow just twixt twain things only
Being happy in the end or being sad somehow
So, where's that new tomorrow tell me?
In fact tomorrow is just like any other day
Tomorrow isn't called tomorrow cos people aren't gonna die tomorrow
Or come to being tomorrow
It is called tomorrow cos it's of grig and sorrow sussurations.
There is no new tomorrow as long as each new day is filled
With evil and good
That's the fact my friend.

Tosdam: Hmmm, on a platform of judgement without prejudice, everyone need to be blamed, everybody i say. Right from our ancestor the problem started, the problem generated from family to the state and state to country...

If love can be lost between two lover who have agreed to become 1, having intimate relationship and later part way. It simply means the country can face more than that. If father or mother can show love to 1 child than the other like it was in the bible in the case of jacob & esau, how many more will there not be biased in the country...

@Jodekss, u are only saying things cos u haven't witness it, "a man that start a war never live to witness it"... Revolution indeed, do u know how many properties, life, family, resources of nigeria that will be ruined if war comes... Do u know d square we would return to, we will start from the trash again and still "corruption will start back with us again" cos we were made to know that God created evil n good for example God erase the israelite with flood leaving "Noah" cos he is righteous does that stop sin in israel, capital "NO"...

James said in the scripture "count all suffering" as joy, why ? God know's....

Revolution will be the worst plan to take now cos every1 is not affected....
well bro, guess what, whether you and I like it or naught, I see a revolution looming o sorry ehn... And always remember that without some head giving their all, as in sacrifice, forget the word independence you all a shrieking here and there. Many were wasted off the face of earth just to make us today experience liberty, at least, what we have now can still be called freedom. If Mathin Luther Jnr didn't fight till he was butchered to death on a street, you wouldn't dare try to be proud to say that, thanks to God we have a black man leading the most powerful nation in the world- Obama... Mind you, am a clamourer of peace too but some things can't just be changed cos it'd been sanctioned to happen somehow, someday... Peace...

See ehn, I won't like it in my casket if my posterities keep cursing my days which is now for not taking an action to cut off the lingerings of these wanton injustice in all sectors, you just name it, even let's face it, why the heck on earth must there be VCs list when some candidates with just 1 mark to the cut-off would have to wait till next year again...! May God help everyone o, but to experience a better future ehn, the truth must be said and acted, now or else... Cos the truth is always the right thing but remember always that "it is usually not easy to do the right thing" that is why we all are in this shameful state...
May God help our generation and our sons and daughters too.

To me it isn't strange that this strike keeps maturing till date o, don't you all still get it? The thematic factor of this shitty scenerio, the ASUU gangs know that FG ain't give a damn about the future of us, the youth, all they are preparing for, now, even afore now is to continue being in charge of the political power source of all other micro-political powers- PRESIDENTIAL SEAT come 2015, '19. That's why they seem too stiff-necked to abrogating this strike.

They are pilling lucre upon lucre, in fact, borrowing even from world bank to make that dream that shan't come to pass in Jesus' name come to pass. They are all old rags, that'd shite a lot in different places in their body-polityings eras back. The fear that handing o'er to another head or heads won't favour their dirty asses is what called for their panicing to win again, again and again, under must, to keep the truth from all, even to the detriment of the fate of all, majorly, the you youth, the future of the morrow. They don't even want a pinch of their secrets leak out. Now, only God can help us o but I think He is doing his part o, it's just that the youth are still scared of taking the right steps to make things look proper. They don't decide for us na, they aren't all up to a million na, moreover, we voted them there na, how on earth should they be deciding for us jo, deciding for us the paths of our fates in this manner ehn. I think you all should forgo the culling off of this strike till an inhumane anarchy is madly loosed upon those few trecherous leaders...gbam... [sigh]

Tosdam: It is neither oxymoron nor antithesis.

Oxymoron is the use of opposite word side by side for example: 1. My experience in japan was a bittersweet.. 2. Oluwatola is honestly dishonest. Hope u get dat.

while antithesis is the use of opposite word in the same statement, for example: 1. Many are called but few are chosen, 2. "Once bitten, twice shy ".

And Epigram involve both antithesis and paradox; paradox in the sense that it is contradictory, sound untrue but it is true. For example: "The more you look, the less you see" two things is involve as u can see, antithesis "more" and less in the same sentence not side by side, 2. Paradox, how come will u look more and see less but literally it is true. Example 2, He who will save his life must first lose it.

Now let come to the question "I BLAME THE CHILDREN, I DON'T BLAME THE CHILDREN" this is not a direct opposite word, but will know it is opposite, we have antithesis and @ the same time that word is contradictory; "how u blame someone @ first and u didn't blame them again; that show the children are not to be blame for their act because some factor led to their act.

The correct answer here is EPIGRAM
ogbeni, thanks for ur tardy explanation, am impressed sir, ehm, the figure of speech used there is ANTITHESIS and I can gladly argue with you on that till dusk. Antithetic statements or words needn't necessary being on the same line, in fact, antithesis has the power to show its worth twixt two stanzas or more, as the case may be, depending on the style applied by the writer/poet/poetess e.g go and re-read in the navel of the soul, you will get to some line where you will see or read as thus; 'Things undone
Things done' something like that sha. Go and try and explore wherever the figure of speech given to that. Another example I could concorct now is: "This is really why we wanted to weewee
This isn't really why we wanted to weewee."

Oxymoron is completely outta it, so need to waste much energy on that but an example of it is: This are the 'LIVING DEADS' I was talking to you about...

Epigram is a short witty saying and nothing more. It similarises with ana or bon mot. A short witty saying, brief enough to be remember swiftly when needed e.g more haste less speed etc

ONE LITTLE DOVE IN THE HANDS OF FEW AFRICAN CHILDREN.
http://www.poetfreak.com/text/246118/one-little-dove-in-the-hands-of-few-african-children.html
We all are one family
Aye just cos we were confabulated in the image of God
Now like how little children will treat a dying dove
One they came across during there usual playings

A wounded dove would appreciate corn and first aid first
But what do we all know?
Even the aged passers-by are afraid to hurt the orgasm of this few children
Absorbed with playing with a dove that has legions of mates to lead
Now and the morrow

They feed a wounded dove with sands, gutter water and too heavy palts at
Her back as if it were their dollies
I blame the children
I don't blame the children
Is this not the works of naivity or what?
But the aged saw them playing with this wounded dove
But why couldn't they correct them, treat her and let her gain independence?

O God I respect your works honestly!
African governments are helping us to die younger
Beyond your scheduled time for us
Or how should we define all these tell me?

Masses are quite quietly suffering here and there
Never was a true system of meritocracy
Strikes by social groups had covered the faith of us students
Graduated youth are
Dying again and again one by one
Bombings by Boko Haram apart
Even by trying to survive via robberys and now they got shot in the head
Interred of gory with all their glories
But what if they were employed or helped out?

In Nigeria again let me go straight
General election is what those jackasses are getting ready for
It was announced that they'd borrowed more sugar from IMF again
Fools, they said they want to use it to create jobs for youth
Nonesense talks, a beauteous lie in truthful disguise
The sugar is surely ment to rig another election
But youth are dovish yes but we'd grown and are crazily civilised
We won't mind dying to chase all you looters down to your late graves
You-oh you cultus old pigs, pea-brained policy formers.

Yes we were wounded by the grenades you threw in the mid-nights
Now we are hale though yet wounded
For the fate of our posterities alone
We shall fight till you allow this new generation take up the mantle of power.

Hence, we are no more little doves you little old children
Yes we are doves
But implanted in us all are big explosives
Play with our fates again and see your butts scattered
All o'er the streets where you'd sprayed our sure sugar for fun.
