daveP: Nobody has lost possession around our box than Zinny this season.
If we want to contest this UCL, a key weakness of our defense is our FBs. Once again, UCL no be beans. No be pap. White was caught off several times by mitoma and his partner in crime. Saliba left his spot to be doing RB duties ALL the times BHA attacked us, while BW was just 😮💨
As for Zinny, i already know 7teams in this R16 of UCL that will punish us instantly for all those silly loss of possession. Instantly. Perhaps we need to loan Kiwi and get a loaned FB if possible. Or just play WB style if these two are in XI.
Liverpool game... lets just colet that midfield. They'll resort to usual long balls. This is a Trossard game too. Saka comes alive better with Trossard in XI. Make Nunez no come rediscover form vs Raya abeg o. Wasteful 9. One thing I noticed is that Zinny loses possession most because of overconfidence in his abilities. Most times If he can just keep it simple or if he doesn't lose concentration, then we'll be good. |

daveP: if Arteta doesn't need it, then we won't be hearing rumors of search for a 9. We also can't say we are satisfied cos we got 88 without top 9. We all should be looking out for how lethal our attacks will be with a 9 getting Aubameyang numbers same season a hot Salah is getting such numbers. That's it.
Good ebening is transforming Watkins to be ahead of our attackers and we shouldn't be comfy atall. If Kane is the example, then MA knows he needs that lethal 9 if he wants to be the best of the best and not just "part of the best" You might be surprised that it's just media fuelling this rumor just because they feel Jesus is not capable of being our top 9. What Arteta wants is different from what we fans feel we want. That's how we were thinking of solid Cf, man went to buy Havertz. We were saying we want Saka deputy and were even linked to people, Man went to buy Raya. I'm not against we having a striker if it'll take us to the next level. I just want a striker that would complement our style of play while getting the goals. Tbh, I would hate for us to have a striker that will be scoring 25+ goals while dem other attackers are having single digits. Jesus just need to be more clinical or be dangerous in his box movements cos he's way ahead of Watkins. He was more dangerous in his box movements last season. I dunno why this season he's even lacking in that |

At the heat of the moment, referees should understand that it is only normal. I think it's only Michael Oliver that's doing this nonsense. No other epl ref have done this nonsense of giving 2 yellow cards in same sequence unless Oliver. He also did same nonsense to Martinelli when he gave him two yellow card in 2 seconds for same sequence for two fouls |

BlueRayDick: I guess all players (most especially the midfielders and attackers) need to do more shooting practise in training going forward since the ideal Arteta team anybody can score. Odegaard missed chances upon chances in that villa match ehn....
I hope Timber comes back early o, Ben white has not been at his best of late sha Yeah, I believe they are. Partey increased his shot accuracy here last season, Odegaard that we all thought wasn't a goalscoring Midfielder have started scoring and even Saka and Martinelli have improved on their scoring too. So yeah. Was really mad that day when Odegaard was just missing chances against Aston Villa and it cost us dearly(with Martinelli miss too). Same thing he did ystdy(same with Martinelli) but thankfully Jesus and Havertz spared their blushes. We just need to be converting chances. I hate good chances been missed by any attackers (be it Midfielders or forwarders). As for White, I don dey fear am. He's no more as sharp as he was once since Tomiyasu injury. Brighton just dey target am ystdy and it's not as if Mitoma was really in the mood sef I just hope Timber do come sha. Na second half of season go really help us if our depths comes back from injury the way we're projecting (ESR, timber and Partey) |

BlueRayDick: Jesus is the kind of striker that understands the pattern and plays the way Arteta likes to set up his team. Areta didn't set up his team to have his Number 9 scoring 25 goals per season.
The fans hoping to always see Jesus in the box having 10 shots per game need to cut down on their expectations. When opposition defenders form wall of Jericho in front of their keeper, Jesus is always ready to take them on, draw players to himself and free up space for other attackers to have a chance at goal.
I think it was agsinst PSV or Lens when Jesus did a crazy skillful turn to take out two players and set up our goal. He did something similar yesterday and turned either Veltman or Dunk inside out. If we take such chances, it will always make the difference.
I read somewhere that Nketiah may be planning to leave. If he leaves, we should get a striker like Toney or Osimehn . Also it's concerning that Arteta has not been able to transition any young striker we can even suggest to be promoted as our third striker; at least a youngster who grew through the ranks would not be complaining of game time when Jesus & Toney/Osimehn gets most of the playing time upfront.
Never mind; Harry Kane is out of our reach. Watkins is another player that will fit in perfectly well into this team; I can bet my life Good Ebening will reason if Aston Villa do mistake sell Watkins to Arsenal even for 150m The reason why I use Kane is that he's the only person who can do what Jesus does (aside his excessive work rate sha) and still give you that 25goals. Tbh, the only thing Jesus is missing is just clinicality. I've been vocal about this since last season. Else he's very perfect for our setup. Almost everyone will say we need that 9 that will be in the box to score goals, we need that 9 that will not come to the middle and all that. But my question always is that, is that the kinda 9 Arteta wants for his system? I know Arteta wants his team goals to be shared amongst all his attackers including wingers and Midfielders and not only the striker(s). And if you look at our team, you'll find out we're one of the top scoring sides in the league yet I doubt any of our players is in top 6 goalscorers this season. In fact, there's a stat that says Arsenal is the 1st team in the history of EPL to have 14 (abi 11) different goalscorers consecutively. That's very impressive if you ask me I'm not against us buying Osimhen or Toney for option B(I know we can never get Kane ) or even Watkins whom I believe will fit into our system. My own issues is that Arteta, I believe, is setting this team up to creates good goalscoring chances and anybody such chances falls on should be able to convert it. That's why I get angry when arsenal miss chances upon chances. Also, the issue about Arteta not progressing any youth so far is concerning. But I never really talk about that one yet. |

daveP: Somehow, it's looking like MA is cool with it until 70th min when Nketiah brings inbox presence. Let's see what January offers. The perfect MA striker Na person like Kane. Someone who will come deep to interplay and still be active in the box. No matter how we need that Pure 9, you'll find out that Arteta doesn't needs it— at least according to the way he wants his team to play. Even with all Nketiah presence in the box, watch him, you'll still find out he comes deep, though not like Jesus(and that's partly to the reason it's not his style of play). |

daveP: Who just saw Osimhen performance vs Cagliari? His headed goal and superlative assist to Kvara?
For his header, this guy rises way way high than many tall defenders can attempt. He contracts CBs to tight spaces and enters between them to be scoring headers in between those tiny inches of space they leave. This drag in makes a lot of space for any of his teammates to get rebounds, which he will set up himself for almost instantly.
2nd goal, he dragged half the XI to himself in a brilliant move in the box.
As for the injury smear campaign, it's not sticking. We need this 9. This will take half the burden of scoring from Saka and Nelli, and create immense space to exploit for the likes of Odegaard and Rice/Trossard and Kai.
Osimhen vs Toney? Abegiii. Osimhen is clear of Toney to me sha. No arguments |

Spy360: The error you are making is thinking that not playing saves a player from injury whereas the opposite is the case.
Ask why Elneny suffered injury after few minutes of competitive football into the season? It doesn't saves a player from injury but at least it reduces the chances. Overworking can cause Injuries. Being away from action for so long can still cause injury (like elneny as you'll not be too match fit) My concern is on the former not the latter. If elneny get injury, who e epp? Knowing that he rested some players, may be he needed others to have more fitness or it's a strategic training regime, or it's the players that demanded to play, or may be he just hates losing and played a team that won't lose.
Talking about losing, a win would have handed us an extra 2.9m dollars. All these factors play a role in choosing a line up. The excuse you're giving are Short-terminism excuse. The fitness excuse doesn't even hold water cos these guys have played averagely 3 Matches a week, for weeks. Na breakdown sef we dey reason not all these fitness reason. Arteta at least gave opportunities to some fringe players like Elneny, Cedric, Ramsdale, Kiwior, Nelson, etc who all started. Giving Fringe players minutes is not what I'm complaining about. Major players ought not to play at all. What is Gabriel and Saliba doing there? What's Odegaard and Declan playing for. And nothing concerns us concerns Bayern and Madrid.
