And who was barka from 1991-2005?

You Dey attach Arsenal lmfao by what metrics??

Soon you’ll come out to say that AC Milan is one of the best clubs in the world too.
Lol, I see how you dodged the Madrid question grin

Congratulations

You don shift to biggest now, not best

Tomorrow you’ll call out one AC Milan player and say he should be rated because he plays for one of the best Biggest teams
Lol, I made a mistake in my correctional post to you saying best instead of biggest. I've corrected it since but then whether it's best or biggest, Spain and Barca fits into the category so it doesn't really matter.

So to you, you'll say Madrid wasn't one of the biggest/best team in Europe from 2006-2012?

And I ask what makes barka one of the best teams in world football?

A team that hasn’t made the quarterfinals of the ucl in 3 seasons now? Or has 1 Trophy in the pasted 2 year?

Can you call your Arsenal team one of the best in the epl?
of course, Barca is one of the best and biggest footballing clubs in the world. Spain is one of the biggest footballing country in the world. Real Madrid was without any trophy from 2009-2011(bar Copa del Rey) while getting knocked out in UCL. Even that period, no right thinking person will call Madrid a small club in Europe how much more Spain.

Even arsenal is one of the biggest team in EPL.
Man u is still a big team in EPL as well as Europe
Liverpool before Klopp was still a big team in EPL.

Dem no dey use 3-5yrs span judge club biggness..

Don't let your hatred for Barca make you not know the truth

How the hell would you regard Spain and Barka as the biggest footballing club and country in the world? By what metrics Abeg?

Same Spain that sarabia starts? Vini will walk into that same Spainish team and will play 90 minutes every single match

By performance, Vini is above foden talkless of pedri
Lol, you chose to see what you want to see.

I clearly said "one of the biggest..."

That's different from what you're insinuating

Everton and England striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, 25, would prefer a move to Arsenal over Newcastle. (Football Insider)

Arsenal's 21-year-old France defender William Saliba - currently on loan at Marseille - plans to return to the Gunners this summer and fight for his place in Mikel Arteta's side. (Teamtalk)

It's a shame the foden, jude and pedri's of this world are ahead of Vini

I mean if not for Neymar occupying the LW at the national team, i don't see how those other guys apart from Erling to be ahead of him

Anyways it's ESPN (known for saying rubbish regarding football matters but are accurate in Basketball and rugby)
Lol, you literally gave the reason why Pedri and foden are ahead of Vini then still criticise ESPN again? grin

We have other areas in the squad we are looking at reinforcing bro, LB, DM, ST, Another RW et al so even if we generate the needed cash, renewing dembele might be the best option for now, We've already agreed personal terms with Raphinha so it looks like that might not be dependent on him renewing again if we agree a fee with Leeds, I get your point after players suddenly relaxing after bagging the deal but with the way he and the team are improving despite our recent mishaps he might get better only if he knows how to shoot, If the deal doesn't workout we sell him without the fear of losing him on a free this time
True talk

jpmoriarti:
Well, Barca's financial issues limits us in terms of luxury of attackers and wingers to buy. Mbappe and Halland are the plum of the transfer market but we can't afford them ATM.

As for Dembouz, we would still love him to stay. He knows the club well. Xavi likes him. He has managed to gain some consistency away from treatment table. It may herald an injury free era for him.

Now next thing to work on is his shooting skills and his longevity in matches. I have noticed that whenever he starts a game, he tires out at around 70 mins. He will then start losing possession carelessly and he begins to overhit his crossing and starts shooting more wildly. smiley

Of course, Dembele being who he is, is a divisive character amongst culers. There is this love-hate thing going on. smiley But once he starts delivering the goals, everyone will be on his side.
I don't think you guys are that broke to get good players. Maybe you guys are financially restrained from getting the mbappe and halaands of this world but not top talents and that's what matters in growing a club.

I still see dembele as someone who flatters to deceive. Maybe I'm judging him harshly but I see him as someone who will go back to default once he signs that contract. Most players are like that — play well when they're looking for contract extension then go back to default mode after that.

If you guys can buy a good young winger that scores goals as well as create it'll be better. You guys still have that pull and I believe you guys aren't that broke the way it's been paraded about.

As we haven't recovered from financial sapa to get another choice winger from the quality few RWs around, I think we should renew him though his shooting is bad and fear of his injuries linger, He's currently barca's best forward and has been our best playmaker in front climbing up the la liga assists standing, He has everything a deadly winger should have except shooting which sounds crazy for a 25 yr old, If he agrees to renew, then no qualms plus we get a decent backup for him so we'll be insured whenever hospital calls
Not bad tho. But if I'm a Barca fan my opinion would be contrary

Lol, I no dey think anything like that oo.

But on a side note, wanna ask you a question: how do you see dembele. Would you want him to renew if given the opportunity or you'll want to move on from him?

Kilishihunter:
It's not that they are few world class players, every position is filled with top talent except for the ST role but the age, their average squad range should be between 28-30, maybe that's why pep tried to collect either pedri, fdj and now Nico from us to put youngins that might help balance the squad and takeover but I do agree with you that they might go down a little with pep's tactical brilliance gone but let's not forget they have badass thinkers in their head roles alongside the cash, I suspect they'll move for Luis Enrique when pep moves
True, they get correct people at the top sha. What I'm suspecting is that it'll be difficult for a normal coach to bring out consistent performances from these set of players even if they're in their prime age. All of them are just collectively good so it might be difficult for a coach to just make them feared as they are now esp in EPL.

It's really weird though that people claim pep has world class players blah blah blah.
How did Pep end up with Zinchenko, Stones, Jesus playing against Madrid.

Truth is none of the players at City presently were world class before Pep bought them safe KDB.
Na just very few world class players dey there presently sef. The day Pep will leave that club, I pity the next coach esp if he isn't world class cos man city won't be feared the way they are presently

Yeahh Auba's link up play is not it at all. He is scoring goals but he has been quite poor on the ball. Some of the worst first touch I have seen from a player. I use to think he was a good dribbler at Dortmund but he hasn't shown any trick with the ball so far. Maybe he is still settling down in the league.

Ofcourse Yes I did. But forget it as that was one in a million performance by Lehmann back then as we have never had any goalkeeper that is as consistent as David Seaman Honestly.

Else All our former Goalkeepers are crap except for Petr cech because of his previous performance for Chelsea and that was why we never do well in Europe

But I believe that if we qualify for champions league and Aaron Ramsdale is being exposed further, he would certainly come out good in the Long run towards becoming the BEST GOALKEEPER WE HAVE EVER HAD
Lol... I believe your getting ahead concerning Ramsdale cos he's not even done anything remarkable yet. But then, I respect your opinion

Honestly and if I would be Honest with you Both, I believe it's Aaron Ramsdale that is a better Goalkeeper over Jens Lehmann irrespective of whether Lehmann is the most experienced going by the number of football games that he played during his hey days.

And my assertion follows the number of superlative performances by Aaron Ramsdale already during this his first Arsenal career that are mostly points winning saves, else I don't think we would have been where we are this season if we had kept faith in Leno
If you don't mind asking, esp the bolded, do you watch Lehmann play for us.
Esp that run to the UCL final?

We've won 19 games this season, 18 of them was when we scored first. It means we've never done any comeback win this season aside wolves 2nd leg. Scoring first and trying to close shop have always being our forte this season and I just hope we continues cos I'm always afraid when we concede first.
