Omorr, our Clean sheets and defence is Amazing. Just 4 goals conceded since the turn of the year is nothing short of amazing.
Raya 12 clean sheets. Four more than the next competitors. To even think he didn't start the first few matches at all plus his absence against Brentford home and away is just ridiculous.
Kudos to the defence and the backline.
We keep on winning and putting the pressure. Hopefully Man u helps us tomorrow. |

raumdeuter: What was the state of Chelsea defence when Silva was on the field this season?
This season 4 goals is the highest Chelsea has conceded in any game and all those were with Silva on the field Chelsea has conceded 4 goals in 4 different games against Newcastle Wolves Liverpool and Man city (facts only) This season isn't finished, so the fairer decision was to use last season and previous seasons. Last season, they conceded 47goals. This season they've conceded more than that already with 8 matches to go. I'm not even saying they must have Silva(since he's old), but a least a defender CB who's a leader and can point and communicate. I saw your latter posts about defenders not dribble past are known as wack defenders. I guess Saliba earlier this season was wack

No width. All he was looking for was an opportunity to tap in. We need a good competition/deputy for Saka. We should be grateful he's durable. Nelson needs to be sold. NinjaMetahuman: good observation.
Especially the Chelsea vs Liverpool comparison.
That's why I'm yet to join on potchetiino out train yet. Once we figure out the defence, I think the team will be solid. The attack still needs improvement tho but urgent need is a very good CB that's a leader. Once these two is sorted, out believe Chelsea will come back even with pochetinno. The first half of the season looks promising in terms of performance even though results wasn't flowing (hence the poor league standing) but the second half is just shambles. Over 50 goals concededo by a club like Chelsea is crazy |

mostob: The Premier League is considering REMOVING points deductions and introducing an NBA-style 'luxury tax' due to concerns that top players might leave if their pay is restricted.
The 'luxury tax' would penalise clubs financially for overspending, with the penalty increasing based on their spending. Clubs in theory could still choose to spend freely if they prefer but the knowledge of taking another financial hit.
The tax could then be distributed to the other Premier League clubs who stayed within the rules.

Lush100: .
Don't mind jare.
I remember when Liverpool were playing AC Milan..champions league. AC Milan had scored 3 goals. After Liverpool pulled on....they brought in Brazilian left back Sergio to provide attacking width. Steve Gerrad left his midfield position to play right back. Liverpool won that game.
We set tell u say Arteta read game....he wanted to strike in the last 15 mins of the game. The question is between Pep,s team.and Arteta team....who could control possession more..... Even the quality of personal they are slightly better especially when you consider their bench. Even first leg...they had more possession but Rodri and KDB were absent giving us a better chance to control game.
Keeping all our top players fit is key.
If Rodri absence and KDB injury did not occur this season....who knows...they might have won more matches.
Look at the whole picture.
Our winning first leg gave us believe we can win them. Na wetin deh make me laugh whenever I see them referencing that first leg and say we should go all gung ho this second leg — at Etihad fa. |

hensben: Good observation but Raum.deuter understand what you trying to say is the issue here. It's because he doesn't Rate those players that's why. But it's simple, last season,Van Dijk was off form and Liverpool were in shambles. This season he's a contender of the year award again and Liverpool are competing for another "quadruple". I just laugh at those that say Van Dijk na average defender and he runs away from challenges. But the irony is that na only rival fans (people who doesn't watch all Liverpool matches just a handful) lay such claim. You can never see a Liverpool fan constantly criticize Van Dijk |

Spy360: Even the non elite coaches want to win. If you ask Crystal Palace manager is they want to win Man City, he will say yes please.
Every coach would want to win.
But if Crystal Palace play Man City like they want to win, they will get Bazookaed. Their approach to the game will be to defend all through the 90. When a team focuses all their game on defending it is obvious they are seeking a draw.
I am repeating myself.
The issue we have here is that your statement of planning not to lose. That's bone cracking 😂
It's like saying the runner that crosses the line first takes first position. Before nko!!! Anyways, it's another Matchday. The argument was as good as it lasted Let's focus on Brighton then after Bayern. I just hope Saka Is fit again |

raumdeuter: How many Arsenal defensive players speak French? Is it Tomiyasu Ben white Jorginho Partey Rice Timber Kiwior Holding or which of the keepers
That communication and leadership is nonsense. Gabriel does the work he is the main man who donates himself to the danger man, we saw how he was all over Haaland showing workings not those silly leadership who will be pointing to others to do work for them to claim glory It's never Nonsense. Even if they don't speak common languages but any footballer would tell you they have signs or basic terms they communicate with one another to understand what they're doing. Liverpool before Van Dijk were like Chelsea presently. They were conceding goals in quantum. The only good thing was that their attack was somehow good but "Engagers" lovren and Matip were conceding goals left, right and corner. It took the leadership and communication skills of Van Dijk to calm everything down and it turned Liverpool to world beaters. Within a year, their worst defence turned to world best defence. They turned from top 4 specialist to UCL winner and league competitors. It's the reason I laugh silently whenever you disparage Van Dijk. Now we don see how Silva absence don turn Chelsea defence to joke. See Badiashile weh everybody dey hail last season (esp Bluem.ann) don deh turn joke small small. |

ThierryJay: Hmm I'll beg to differ on Jorginho.
At best he was a very good player. A single stellar season does not make you world class. Even in the so-called stellar season, no one who watched Jorgi during the Chelsea UCL and Italy Euro campaign thought in real time that they were watching a potential world best player. It was more of an afterthought at season end that wait a minute, Jorginho is a common factor in both winning campaigns so he must be so, so and so. And after that season, he never truly won fans hearts with his displays both in club and country.
For context, Victor Osimhen is not considered world class despite a stellar last season. David Beckham despite ending up on the world best podium on 2 occasions was considered not world-class by Fergie (though I disagree personally cos Beckham was one of the most impactful midfielders in the world between 98/99 to March 2002 when that Deportivo player broke his leg) but this is just to illustrate that just being very good doesnt automatically make you world class.
To be world class is to show consistently high levels of quality both on the easy and toughest stages over a long time regardless of trophies (although they are an added advantage). This is why Harry Kane and Son are considered World class.
We have world class talents from young ages though, like Owen, Rooney, Pato, Robinho, Bellingham, Neymar, Mbappe, Rice, Mikel Obi. Not all of them went on to seal their world class status though. Foden has world class talent, however time will tell whether he progresses this into a bona-fide world beater. Personally, I think he's almost there and by next season if he replicates this level, his world class status will not be in doubt.
Saka is still not yet world class. Same as Palmer and Rodrygo. They are just very good players. You sabi 💯 |
