Last week I particularly called Tammy a lightweight. I criticized Lampard for starting him and a couple other less experienced player for a match of that magnitude.
However, looking closely at the events of that famous loss to Man U, Tega’s performance was not necessarily abysmal. He hit the woodwork and had a legit case for being fouled near the box before ManU rallied to score their second.

In the context of Nigerian football, Tammy is playing at the highest level for a CF. And I asked the question, will any of our forwards today have performed better against ManU and Liverpool? If I don’t find the word “maybe” in your answer, you are purely being sentimental.

safarigirl:
I would like to be the conveyor of good/bad (belle) news this afternoon grin:

After two disappointing/underwhelming/unlucky starts for Chelsea, our favorite boy, Tammy Abraham has been summarily benched today, against Leicester.

I suppose Lampard wasn't going to sacrifice a possible home win, on an altar of Academy Products. He better pray the decision favors him

charlesemeka85:
Ukraine coach Andriy Shevchenko has called up twenty-four players for the upcoming European Championship qualifier against Lithuania and friendly with three-time Africa champions Nigeria.

Iorfa started ahead of Odubajo in RB. Why didn’t Odubajo replace him? Might have been a tactical change. Milwall had a man sent off just before half time.

See excerpt:
Murphy again came close as Wednesday looked to press home their advantage following Wallace's 43rd-minute dismissal, but the winger fired over after getting on the end of Dominic Iorfa's cut-back.

Iorfa was replaced by Barry Bannan at half-time as the Owls sought to pressure the 10 men and the Scot was immediately influential, floating a sublime pass to Steven Fletcher, who fired straight at Bialkowski.

ChrisKels:
Iorfa was so poor today he got yanked off after the first 45mins

Rabiu is still the next Okocha grin
komekn:
First of all it depends on what you define MAKING IT too mean.

How many players have been given huge accolades at youth level and never made it. Too many to mention, that's why l am not a fan of giving accolades to youth players who haven't achieved anything. At best indicative but not conclusive.

There is a big difference to youth players playing first team football and making it like Ryan Ssegnon, etc.

Do you remember Rabui Ibrahim everything was said about him the next JJay, etc, etc But where is he now.

Komekn.

That post was actually a joke. At least safarigirl got the humor and we kind of joked around about it. I will be mature enough to bother about your digs.

Modified
There is no one player I have defended here when they are doing badly. Even maja I made of fun of not too long ago. Osimhen I have praised when he was performing. No matter how hard u try, u can’t put me in a box. I sway here and there depending on the happenings on the field. I’m not even gonna get emotional about your post. Doesn’t describe me so I’m not bothered.

ChrisKels:
Sometimes ehh, ur posts are ultra childish. Were u expecting him to score in every match?

Yes Maja scored and deserves the praises, unless u want us to sweep that under the carpet for a player who didn't score. What exactly is ur point?

And who made Onyekuru the Prince of Monaco? Did Ikpeba become a prince by simply signing on the dotted lines? Also what made u think he had a bad game, bkus he didn't score? That was too petty of u

Ur last paragraph is so lame and ill thought of, due to ur desperation to have a go at these young players. Are u now insinuating that Maja is better than those other two just bkus he happened to be the one who scored yesterday? All these bkus we don't give ur Tammy, an English international a breathing space due to his failures bhuhahahaha

Ogbeni wake up, Osimhen, Onyekuru, Kalu, Simon and Maja are all part of the SE French legion and it is incumbent on us (the true fans) to celebrate them. We all don't av to be as delusional for u to understand that where Maja was born doesn't matter to us. Keep on crying over Tammy grin

Jamilu Collins making waves huh
sheyishemba:
Rohr has a particular reason for keeping tabs on okoye since all this years... This is not a matter of playing time... This maybe due to his talented.. Coz Rohr that I know can't invite player from a low league and won't still perform. Jamil Collins comes to my mind alot of critics came as a result of his invitation.. But look at him.. He is making waves.. In my unbiased opinion I think okoye is very talented and there must be something special about this dude.. Lobatan

We need to make a move for Tomori right away
andrew444:
I think I argued against you before ,because I can't take a championship player over a bundesliga player

But let me see what tomori can do ,with the way I am seeing he will get game time under lampard even if it's coming from the bench and starting those cup game I think it's okay

Tomori has already played Chelsea 2 games this season ,the Epl and the Uefa super cup ,this alone has to tell us great things ahead this season for tomori

But does he want to play for Nigeria ?

Junior Pius' Royal Antwerp advance to the next round in Europa League qualification by virtue of an away goal rule at the expense of Czech's Plzn, who parade former NIgeriaU23 forward Ubong Ekpai. By coincidence, both players were sidelined by injury.
