Dominic Iorfa was serving a red card suspension hence didn't play for Sheffield Wednesday. Coincidentally, Moses Odubajo filled in for him. And Sheffield has just wrapped up the game with a 3rd goal despite playing one man down for the last 16 minutes of the game. It's game over now. Reading 1-3 Sheffield Wednesday.

As long as he does well, i have no issues. I don't support players remaining in the team if they are not adding anything.

TheSuperNerd:
The fact remains Rohr looks his way now because he has seen signs of a comeback from the lad. With Ighalo's retirement, Nacho is the only striker proven in the GWG right now aside Musa (who mostly plays from the left). His stats are still good and Rohr cannot be blamed for acting on the positives seen so far from his one time leading marksman before the drop in form.

Also SE hopeful Right Back, Moses Odubajo started for Sheffield Wednesday. They currently lead Reading 2-1 away.
Reading has 17-year old Franco-Nigerian Michael Olise on their bench.

If KC like make he continue his barren run with SE. Will you call for him being dropped in that condition? grin
TheSuperNerd:
Rohr has spoken about bringing Kelechi back. It goes beyond him scoring now... He said something about the lad's attitude to the game now. So Rohr won't be wrong to hand him a recall if he so chooses. Afterall Iggy is retired.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 4:07pm On Aug 03, 2019
Over to the Championship.

QPR starts Ebere Eze and Bright Osayi Samuel in LM/LW and RM/RW respectively. They lead Etebo's Stoke 1-0 away at HT. Etebo is not listed, probably still back in Naija

Modified
QPR also has Oladipo Shodipo, who is on the bench.

Modified 2
And QPR also has Luke Ayodele Amos playing as DM in this game WOW
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 4:02pm On Aug 03, 2019
Finding his feet at club level should be in the league proper na.

At least let him get some run of games and score a few goals shekina

TheSuperNerd:
It's not a reward. It is a recall. Iheanacho has already proven himself in the GWG. He's just finding his feet again at Club level under a manager that is showing him some good measure of faith. In all, time will tell.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 4:01pm On Aug 03, 2019
we still dey wait Maja oh.. no be now he just join. A lion from league one should be tearing up Ligue 1. komekn over to u

forgiveness:
The only player that has the edge over Kayode on your list is Iheanacho if the bolded is considered.

That's based on previous achievement but going by recent performance both are not qualified to make the national team. Unfortunately, they both have serious challenges ahead of them this season due to the fact that they are both either second or third strikers in their teams.

However, let us wait and see what happens this season. I am open to any player that does well in their various league including Ujah.

Sulieman Abdullahi is not a striker but we still have a certain Maja in Ligue 1.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 3:58pm On Aug 03, 2019
Rohr is going to reward KC for his preseason performances? grin
TheSuperNerd:
Rohr: ”I see he (Iheanacho) is now professional in the way he trains and play in games. I have been speaking with him and from the way he is performing in pre season he will be back with us”,

”He is a part of the team and he knows it. When next we have a game he will get his chance to prove himself because we believe in him and we’ll be happy to have him back”.

Oya go and stop the invite.... Nonsense and Komekn!

Jose Mourinho encourages Frank Lampard to use Kurt Zouma and Tammy Abraham at Chelsea
Thursday 1 Aug 2019 7:26

The Portuguese coach feels Chelsea have a huge amount of young talent to utilise . Jose Mourinho believes Chelsea’s transfer ban may not be such a bad thing and has encouraged Frank Lampard to make the most of the many young and talented players he has at his disposal. Christian Pulisic, signed in January, is the only new addition at Stamford Bridge this summer, though the Blues were able to turn Mateo Kovacic’s loan deal from Real Madrid into a permanent move. Mourinho, though, says his old team are a ‘very special club’ who are better equipped than most to deal with a transfer ban, and has backed two players who have spent most of their Chelsea careers on loan – Kurt Zouma and Tammy Abraham – to shine.

After impressing at Everton, Zouma is back in the first-team fold at Chelsea (Picture: Getty) ‘It depends on what you have in the academy, that’s the point. I think every manager in the world loves to play kids from the academy,’ Mourinho told Sky Sports. ‘The question is: what is the product from the academy? What can you work with to improve? I think Chelsea is a very special club in relation to that. I just give an example: Chelsea needs a centre-back – Kurt Zouma! You don’t need to buy, you don’t need to spend.

‘He’s champion of England, he played for Chelsea, played for Stoke in the Premier League, played for Everton in the Premier League, played for France. He’s your player, he’s on loan, where are you going to buy a better player than him? You already have him. ‘You want a young striker – Tammy Abraham! He’s yours. He knows the club. He was made at the club, he was educated at the club. He was on loan, he played already some matches in the Premier League, he plays in the Championship but Championship at the highest level with the responsibility to play at a big club like Aston Villa. He’s ready.

Abraham, who lit it up at Villa, looks set to lead the line for Chelsea this season.

‘Do you need to buy a young centre forward? No! And Chelsea were criticised many times with the number of players they had on loan, more than 30 players, 40 players, but now the moment arrived and they have answers like nobody else could have. ‘They have the answers, so I don’t think it’s any problem for them. The only problem for them is obvious which is that they lost a phenomenal player. Eden Hazard was a special player for Chelsea and they lost him, apart from that I don’t see any problem for them.’

I never implied the player is poor. As a basis for comparison, Okereke is just starting out in Belgium. Please follow the context.

tbaba1234:
Bonaventure plays more from the wings now so he does not score as much. He is still one of their best players.

my point is Bonaventure started very well in the Belgian leagues scoring goals like this. The season is still very young. Good start for Okereke
though
andrew444:
Bonaventure hardly play as a striker, all his goals came from the flanks

I remember Bonaventure starting in the Belgian league that same way. It's too early to celebrate.

read my initial post again
edi287:
Where is Onobi at the moment?? Look the likes of Siasia and Amodu were not stupid when they said what they did about our league.
These guys have played and coached in the NPFL. Why would they want to bad mouth it??
The quality of the NPFL is not high. As at now - the best bet is getting players from the academy before they play in the league.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 12:58am On Jul 30, 2019
Isn’t Ali one of the recycled players? He is one of the best among the crop. My initial post has already treated this.
CHAN Eagles is usually handled by the same domestic league coaches with the same mindset. Do they really look for the best?

tbaba1234:
Rabiu Ali is in his 40s but he is in every CHAN list... Where are the young midfielders?

There are diamonds in the rough. And they can’t be top quality until they get tested in better leagues under the tutelage of good coaches.

BARAJ92:
I will agree with Udoh, Their is no top quality player that will stay in our league for more than two season that will not move on.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 12:47am On Jul 30, 2019
Una forget when Oliseh use one homr based sed player bench Mikel.
Im kind of in the middle in this argument. I think when we talk about long term replacement we won’t find such in the domestic league. Players in the league can outshine some of our regulars for one match or two, but give them a run of games and u will see where the quality reality lies. NPFL players need Europe to get polished. the NPFL is too poor to make them better players. Until we improve our league, the situation will not change. I believe there are talents in the rough, if not in the NPFL, In the NNL. Many Domestic league coaches are too lazy to scout and develop players. They are just busy recycling known players

andrew444:
NPFL HAVE NO PLAYERS TO REPLACE THOSE ONES

PLAYERS TO REPLACE MIKEL IGHALO ARE IN EUROPE

The 2018 WC has come and gone and so also is the 2019 AFCON. Are we still maintaining the same title for this tread going forward?

After spending 5 months with them, this is what Heartland management had to say,

“Yes we are disappointed that we could not go all the way but one thing I know is that Siasia is a very good coach.

"In fact he is one of the best that have ever worked with our club and we intend to keep him.

“In the little time he spent with us, you could see the difference and we know that the club will gain in the long run if he starts and ends the new season with us.”

Danielnino00:

I doubt he can even land such jobs now. He’s been without a job for too long. NPFL sides will be willing to have him though.

Odunayaw:
Countries like Angola, Cape Verde will be happy to have him on their NT

In terms of Club, he really has no pedigree (IMO) to command attention from caf competitions bound clubs
