for me I think it's good for things to happen like this in matches that are not important. These are areas we need to discover early and make sure it never happens again.
TheSuperNerd:
I don laff tire. 2 goals in 3mins. What rubbish is this?? 😂😂😂

Eguavoen made his subs. We scored but did we also forget to defend?? What drop in concentration is this?? Haaaa...

The reason why we have still not found a solid back up for Osimhen is because all these games we keep playing. Sadiq? really? Iheanacho too, at this point. you can say Boniface is putting good numbers at the club. For me he should be warming the bench in the GWG even if you argue that he deserves call up.

Joezinho:
Why can't we just be objective and say the truth, what has boniface, iheanacho and umar done in recent games for the team? Call up should be based on form..

The opportunities in terms of playing time that has been given to Boniface in the Super Eagles and nothing much to show, should be given to the likes Cyriel Dessers.. Boniface is a very average striker , barely moves and lazy. Mofo will struggle badly in the EPL..

if we miss out from the WC again I will become disengaged with SE, and for me that means football totally since i'm not a club football fanatic. It is what it is.. But Peseiro really started it badly, whatever happens we have to accept.

Same here, nice to always see your takes. The world they boil now there are more pressing issues as i've been more involved with discussion pre/post US elections, plus some projects when I don carry for head.

You know that Iwobi is on and off, but that's why a good back up is necessary.. How did Fisayo, Onyedika, Yusuf, Onyeka fare today?

TheSuperNerd:
My brother. I cannot come and kill myself. Just want this WCQs to be over and done with somehow so we know what's next.

As for Nwakali, you are right. And that reason stares us all in the face everytime this Super Eagles team plays. But it is well as long as we have Iwobi playing. Just sad that it is just Iwobi shouldering that creative burden.

Anyway, good to hear from you again. Trust life is getting on just fine over there.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 8:44pm On Nov 18, 2024
lol..
Eguavoen to continue for me

As regards Nwakali, there is a reason he is still in the convo after all these years, whether we like it or not. He is not up there but he is definitely not out yet.

TheSuperNerd:
Nwakali MOTM brought some sifia pains here not quite long.

But for today, na Super Eagles and Eguavoen dey bring Sifia pains. 😂😂😂

I will only rate any player if they replicate what they do in their clubs playing in the NT.

That day. And then get focused on the next game.

I think we are in good shape going to the WC qualifiers. We just need to take it one game at a time.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 4:33pm On Sep 10, 2024
Give him 5 years of he will surpass Rohr. And I mean this not only for AE but other local coaches that can manage players well, and be fair in player selection. I’m just saying we rate the likes of JP too highly.

Mujtahida:
I am fully for Eguavoen even if he loses some matches. We must quit this magic mentality like children. Senegal gave their coach time. It paid off. If it's Nigeria, once you fail, they remove you.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 4:31pm On Sep 10, 2024
I no watch the match. But I just we keep it up and improve in our conversion going forward

minfelix:
Boniface strike hitting the crossbar
lookman close range slapping shot inside the box 18
Moses simon one on one
Lookman disallowed goal(very wicked of the ref)
and so many i can’t remember..
Guys we play them like mad…they are just the usual stubborn East African side we know
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 4:29pm On Sep 10, 2024
cheesy
TheSuperNerd:
Lol, we no need such motivation. We are the Super Eagles.

Contextually, I refer to the smaller football nations on the continent.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 4:12pm On Sep 10, 2024
Tinubu for come too oh grin
TheSuperNerd:
The Rwandan GK is good but I recall he was also in goal when Nwabali faced him in the SA Cup Quarter finals earlier this year in April. Nwabali's Chippa beat him and TS galaxy 2-0.

Nwabali also made a last minute penalty save in that game.

Ntwari is good but today just went his way. Not better than Nwabali at all.

He is MOTM but who won't be motivated having their president come watch them live? We move!
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 4:11pm On Sep 10, 2024
we would need good luck all the way if we are going to qualify for the WC.
Goke7:
the team has done well today just hard luck and both teams defending well
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 3:52pm On Sep 10, 2024
that remains a miracle even if the real Guordiola is the coach.

9JAMac10:
Is this how they will win six consecutive games to qualify for the World Cup
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 3:51pm On Sep 10, 2024
the problem is after that Benin game, we started seeing interviews and highlights up and down as if we had won a cup already. We still have a long road. The team can get better but lets not be celebrating like we have arrived.
