When Dennis come GWG na to drag penalty kick. If you are in form let it translate to international games. komekn: I have said this for over 5 seasons not just this season.
He has had one good season at Leicester the rest have been abysmal. He is now in the Championship which many of you said he will destroy but it's destroying him.
What's the basis for his selection into to the SE , it's certainly not consistent outstanding top level performances in club and league.
Emmanuel Dennis 12 games and 4 goals compared to KC 21 games and 5 goals.
Who is more in form ❓ |

When did I say Sadiq’s invite is based on tribalism? Oya quote me. Marjoribanks: You are acting as both the judge and the petitioner. To you accusing Finidi of tribalism does not hold water but Sadiq invitation is based on tribalism. Continue! Lol! You accuse others of what you indeed are! |

Iheanacho is proven in SE colors.Any player who is doing better in Europe not only deserves a chance but also need perform in thr GWG. What does Sadiq have going for him past or present? Mind you I rated Sadiq based on his La Liga 2 exploit I particularly asked you what u are accusing Finidi of. Come clear let me understand. Most of us here have criticized him. What’s the basis of your own criticism from ur previous comments? Marjoribanks: What has Iheanacho done as at today to be in the convo based on your stat? Let us start from there. We are both from the South so that tribal crap does not hold water for me. I am for objectivity and honesty. |

Sadiq did not deserve it. Many pages back I sang his praises. But today he has not done enough to be in the convo. The stats does not support your stance. Add to that he is light weight and would be easily bullied. Marjoribanks: I agree that NFF influenced the choice of Musa to AFCON but saying Sadiq does not deserve his call up is a big conspiracy. There were rooms to select three other players but Paserio refused.
Like I postulated when the issue of Sadiq injury at pre-AFCON came out. I knew there were some forces that wanted him out and the injury came at the right time to send him packing. Even Paserio said he was surprise at how soon Sadiq got back playing after the team Nigerian Doctors made their shameful analysis. I believe then that the reason was not football related. Now I understand why-- his boastfulness! |

He gave Lookman time all the same, though Lookman has proved to be a key player and could have even been fielded as a CF I can understand if he doesn’t rate Fisayo. But Tella should have gotten game time. charlesemeka85: I don’t really blame him much for not playing sadiq but refusing to give the duo Yusuf and Bashiru playing time, stating the Mali game without an out n out CF, not making his subs early, not starting lookman and not changing his tactics early in the second half |

GBAM ChrisKels: You are helping to disseminate a substanceless, poorly conjured trash aimed to discredit a man through ethnic inclination rather than his capabilities just because of your disdain for the said fellow? I bu ezigbote onye iberibe Charles.
Okay, after their trash talking of his U17 squad, he went on to conquer the world and also give us the current pride of the continent in Osimhen. Same team gave us Chuks, and even Nwakali though he fell off. Osimhen, Zakari Lukman and Funsho Bamgboye were some of the so called Biafran boys. Manu Garba had similar team but we never termed it Arewa team.
In 2013, Forgiveness in particular called Keshi's team a Biafran team and said he wished for them to crash out in the group stage, that team went on to conquer Africa and gave us our third Afcon gold in history.
I'm not a fan of local coaches though I like Eguavoen and SiaSia ball but coming here to write rubbish about a successful team just because of your hate for the handler is what I won't look away from. Once again Emeka, ifere gwuru gi n'anya. You and whoever wrote this rubbish are some ffing bsts |

But one thing some of us forget is that Finidi has been with the team and he has seen all these players both on the pitch and in training. However, at the same time, he did not draw the list. Granted, the players deserved some time on the pitch over two games, but it’s not as if they have not had game time before under Jpes/Finidi. So there was nothing really “NEW” to try. komekn: Just like our politicians we are obsessed with recycling not improving.
Collins, Awaziem, Omeruo, are not bringing anything new, you want to improve you try something NEW it's very simple.
You have players making waves Tella, Fisayo and you don't play them.
Friendly games should be used to improve not recycle the old ones and rebranding.
Where are the new midfielders we need ❓ |

What are you suspecting him of? Marjoribanks: Only a sentimental element won't notice, Finidi has lost the dressing room even as an interim coach! I am disappointed in myself that I once rate him highly! It is highly suspicious leaving Ndidi and Iheanacho on the field for 90 minutes when Tella, Alhassan and Fisayo were on the bench and got no single minutes in 180 minutes. Even Lookman got less than 45 minutes in 180 minutes. LOL! Ladan Bosso type of behavior! |

For me alone, I would like Finidi to stay. But fans generally will panic with the Mali loss. Only thing I fault Finidi is not exploiting his bench. He didn’t select the boys after all. Mujtahida: Why is that once a coach loses a match in Nigeria, we start singing the sack him chorus?
Why do we like magic so much? We hate being patient to achieve results. Granted international football doesn't give much time for second guesses but I feel we should give Finidi the benefit of the doubt. My opinion is not about Finidi. Even if it is Amunike or a foreign coach, I'd still call for patience, support and encouragement. |

I agree but we can’t be patient with Finidi at this point, although he seems to have already established his style on the players. Another win would have convinced people. viccy12: One thing I have realized about the SE since Gernot Rohr took over the team until now is that the team has lost confidence, especially when it comes to ball possession. The team just doesn't have that confidence on the ball the Nigerian team is famous for. It's actually embarrassing to see the Malians holding the ball with more confidence than the Eagles.
The players are just starting to learn how to play real football again, after Rohr and the last coach stifled their ball playing confidence. |

Assuming we were starting to build I would have kept faith with Finidi. At this point, We need a coach wirh the magic wand because WC qualifiers is up. daveP: We've played better than this jare. It just looks fascinating because it's a breathe of life after all that AFCON peseiro style. It wasn't working, especially with Collins on the left.
Iwobi needs to get a new partner in midfield. A Declan Rice/Conor/McAllister kinda partner so he doesn't have to drop this deep to add creativity to this dry match.
Finidiball started and ended 50-50 |
