We could have won the Friday match at least, then we can complain about Monday. We need to win our next two to be on the driving seat. Not a tall order for us as things stand. yinkeys: CAF is deliberately setting Nigeria up for failure Why are we playing on Friday and Monday Same thing they did last time and we had 2 draws (2 points) Why not 3 days interval Can someone answer this question Compared to the last international window, season has ended and I don’t see why they had to cluster our games @minfelix @nomyth

U fit dey play tiki taka for two decades and u no go get their kind luck. TheGoodJoe: How are they so lucky? Reminds me of three seasons ago where they scored two late goals against us (Man City). They were clearly not the better side.

So he isn’t reliable because of his injury record. What’s your solution then, not to invite him when he is fully fit and on form? We have a plethora of strikers. This is not an Osimhen issue, but a selection one. When he is not available, someone should be able to step in. Kalakulu: Osimhen has a spectacular record of missing key international matches/tournaments. Incredibly, the 2024 AFCON was the first international tournament in which he started a game for Nigeria 🇳🇬 (since making his debut 7 years ago!). In those 7 years, his only other tournament experience for Nigeria 🇳🇬 was playing a grand total of 45 minutes at the 2019 AFCON 5 years ago. He was also injured for the key World Cup qualifier against Ghana 🇬🇭 which Nigeria drew, and which meant Nigeria did not qualify for the World Cup.
He has an uncanny knack of getting injured or contracting Covid just before key international matches.
I'm sorry but the truth hurts, Osimhen is simply a player that CAN'T be relied upon in very important moments. |

Long term replacement for a guy who still has a long career ahead of him. Injury is part of the game. Pick the best strikers and if anyone is out, someone will be ready to step in and perform. We don’t have a problem here. Monsignor22: I'll never question the loyalty of Osimhen because he gives his all whenever he dons that national jersey, BUT it's time we start preparing for the possibility of Osimhen's international career being disrupted by his worrying injury records. That's why it's very important we have a long term replacement for Osimhen who is reliable enough to deliver. My pick will be Boniface but even Boniface doesn't have the best of fitness records... |

You have to have won something. The first 4 all have a case. Should we go for European title or League/Cup title.? I think L ⚽️ ⚽️ ⚽️ kman has the strongest case. If Leverkusen had won it, there will be no contest — Boniface. soetanoreoluwa: Who's your pick? |

I know how to push ur buttons. His next stop is somewhere near you. komekn: No he did not 🚫
Huesca on arrival from Porto B sent him out on loan with great haste.
They valued him so much he was the second to the lowest paid player in the club. He was so good they tried to seel him for €300k Euro 💶 but nobody wanted him.
In desperation they tried to terminate his contract illegally and you think he was pivotal to Huesca progression.
Huesca never got promoted to La Liga so how could he have helped them to get promoted 😳😳

You need abilities in everything. The big factor for team understanding and cohesion is time. Ability is always a factor. We’ve always had the talents but we have labored for years to even string passes consistently which is an evidence of understanding. You get it now? Meliforme: You mean the players abilities are not in consideration, just time?

Now u are talking. Osimhen Boniface Awoniyi Moffi Adebayo And I will sneak in Akpom These are our top strikers in no particular order Modified I did not intentionally omit Lookman. Playing a 3 man forward (CF, LF, and RF) Truidstarr: In all honesty our number 3 striker. |
