Let’s not wash our dirty linens in public. You have seen him, he needs to chop Arab money as much as he can .
MetalJigsaw:
Yes more exposure will make him improve
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 3:38pm On Mar 02, 2024
Omeruo rather came in for Sanusi and Bassey switched to LB. That’s an Omeruo-Troost-Ajayi CB line. Without Troost, I hope our new coaches can come up with something. That lean midfield of ours is a transferred problem.

Goke7:
we can't control that but what more action do you need from Omeruo who we know will come in for Ekong or a Bright Osayi who may swap positions with Aina? No be wetin we get we go use. I understand your feelings, we can only hope the injured players recover on time but I think we have a squad that just needs to improve, distorting that synergy in that team made up of players that were either overused or underused during afcon may be our undoing going forward. My personal view.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 3:02pm On Mar 02, 2024
But they didn’t get much action na.

We also had players that were overused till the extent that their quality may have dropped in the finals. And now they be out for months.

Goke7:
but we had players who came in for those positions during the Afcon when the players didn't play
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 2:20pm On Mar 02, 2024

You need to read to understand.

Mod
Maybe I should have added, for those who don’t know, Ekong and Sanusi is out.

Goke7:
You have World Cup qualifiers underway and you want to rework? dey play. This is how we keep killing the National team, fixing even what does not need any fixing.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 1:49pm On Mar 02, 2024
I have an ill feeling about Jpes but many people will not understand it, so I would keep to myself for now. When the time is ripe I will say it.

The new coach will have to rework our CB pairings, also with changes at LB. It’s like building the defense again.

The midfield combos needs to be fixed for once.

The attack hopefully will hopefully synergize quickly with whatever modifications that will be done in the midfield.

I hope it won’t be looking like an overhaul with the WC qualifiers in view. I would say the player personnel should nor change much for caution sake. Plug in some gaps and make needed replacements. Hopefully, It will be a matter of the new playing style to adopt.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 1:09pm On Mar 02, 2024
Well i was speaking of the girls in the last U20 WC

Liposure:
What she did to that Canadian player at last WC is enough to put her in jail. That foul was wicked and awful to watch coming from professional footballer. She needs to work on marking abilities before she ends peoples career
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 12:31pm On Mar 02, 2024
When I watched the falconets at the World Cup, I thought that was the best female national team I’ve even seen play. My expectations was that most of those young players will graduate to the senior team. I believe she is one is those players. How many of them have come through so far?

Kog45:
Listening to Deborah Abiodun interview showed that Falcon future is bright….she was so confident and chooses her words perfectly, really surprised she was born in Ibadan and started her career with Rivers Angels.

Sir, the problem with your take is that you watched him for 60 mins but did not highlight what he did badly.

Secondly following the same pattern, I could claim that two subs that was made by the coach led to the 5 goals.

Kog45:
I watched Chavez vs Arouca which ended 5-1 in favour of Arouca and those goals were scored within the space of 58 minutes,Nwakali got subbed out in 60 minutes and I came to realize that eagles would need more than Nwakali to bring stability to our midfield…I trust local coaches, time to see Daga,Akinsanmiro,Eletu,Bashiru and Nwakali in the folds. These guys just need wildcards invitations and hope to see them doing what Nwabali did to our goalkeeping dept.

If midfield issue is not solve we are not going to WC.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 12:03pm On Mar 02, 2024
I support this..

Marjoribanks:
I have said it numerous times here, that we played our best football under Equaveon.

I said we could have easily walked over 2021 AFCON if Iwobi was not red carded against Tunisia though we were a goal down.

Equaveon was the most unlucky Nigerian coach in recent history.

He drew Ghana home and away without a single midfilder completing 180 minutes! In fact he had no single DM/AM in the 2nd half at Abuja. (All injured)!
(No Iwobi, Ndidi, Onyeka first half in Abuja, Bonke-first half Accra).

Equa and Finidi should be given time no matter what happens! Time and support!

Welcome back Nwakali!

God bless Nigeria!

with NFF usually substantive = low grade
Daninya33:
A substantive coach will be announced soon.

Cerezo will act as interim coach before a final decision is reached.
The Technical Director steps in as interim coach if the position of Head Coach is vacant.

Personally I prefer Michael Emanalo to be the Technical Director of NFF.

Hopefully Amuneke becomes coach soonest.

grin
Curtisaxel17:
For once, I think the NFF has got it right. Eguavoen shouldn't have been sacked in the first place. The Ghana loss was on Uzoho and the Tunisia flop was on harsh refereeing and bad luck. I totally enjoyed Egu and wish him a permanent contract with the SE.

Plus, my gee Bolaji Omobolanle will be back😎
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 7:08pm On Mar 01, 2024
With Uzoho performance, starting an alternative no be boldness o. But let’s give him the credit for listening to calls from several quarters.

lbrichman2:
Completely agree
Nwabali's inclusion was a masterstroke
And I commend Jpes's boldness to start him, after leading us all to believe Uzoho was his No1
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 6:50pm On Mar 01, 2024
As many people may not like to admit, the game changer in Peseiro’s SE was Nwabali.
If you have a shaky keeper, you get an unstable defense.

Like Egu Abi?

Amuneke no dey run from work na.

lbrichman2:
Amuneke overlooked again
He be like him never read the memo
Go get something doing and freaking build your momentum
Rack up some wins and elevate your status!
Man will be sitting in the shadows and expecting a phone call
Because him be Guardiola abi?

Well I wouldn’t give him the pos immediately after serving the ban. Let him handle a club side first.
AndSunGorilla:
In as much as I like Siasia I think he's seriously tainted and shouldn't be appointed as SE coach.
