What’s the Togo Wahala? Is he also Nigerian? Has he played for Togo before?
He will be back in form soon and will definitely be utilized in the WC qualifiers at some point.

Tobichimezie:
is Gift Orban a product of premature overhype? his form lately has been lethargic, Baba never score since last month now and with the plethora of attackers in the SE, I doubt he has a chance to make the AFCON squad especially with his recent Togo wahala...maybe Togo NT is his surest path to international football.

Everything will come together eventually. We will find that perfect CB pairing maybe with the next coach.
Danielnino00:
TBH,I'm not so sure of our CB pairing going forward... Peseiro has tried a lot of players there since he took over, and its kinda hard to tell who gets the starting shirt..only Ajayi has been a regular there...

I'm not settled with Toru yet. We need to try Ogbu

Danielnino00:
That's right.. I forgot..
He should switch places with Ajayi then...
I would have loved Awazeim to play RCB, but he doesn't seem to be much in Jpes plan these days..
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 10:46pm On Oct 21, 2023
over to Peseiro o
o pari
Kog45:
Enyeama used our last friendly match against Kenya to gatecrashed into 2002 WC and funny he kept against England and did well, left for Peseiro to do the needful
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 7:09pm On Oct 21, 2023
Torunarigha is left footed like Bassey I believe
Danielnino00:
Iwobi shouldn't return to the wings abeg... Iwobi's output as a winger is very poor... He is better off in central midfield.
In my opinion, 3-5-2 would be the best option for Peseiro 2 man attacking option... We don't have many wingers to sacrifice anyway.. And aside Chukwueze, our other wing options, Simon and Lookman can play as wingback and supporting striker respectively.. so in a 3-5-2 I'd go with

Goalkeeper

Tonuarghia -RCB
Ajayi- CB
Bassey- LCB

Osayi/Aina- RWB
Ndidi- CDM
Onyeka- CM
Iwobi- CAM
Bruno- LWB

Boniface-SS
Osimhen -ST

I've seen a post about the four..

But first we need to determine which one or two, then give them a run real time.. before we can say we have a good replacement. But I'm afraid we have only two competitive games and maybe a friendly bfore the AFCON proper.

Kog45:
Uzoho outbursts though apologies accepted made me to search through NPFL and from reliable sources we have four NPFL goalkeepers that deserve eagles call up if we want to go by state of super eagles goalkeepers.

in bench
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 2:45pm On Oct 21, 2023
Me I dey reason how our opponents go dey shoot again and again waiting for an error from our first choice goalie.

Amedino99:
ei God see options. Serie a bench, English league 2, premier league 2, Swiss league bench, Cyprus league bench, isreal, northern Ireland. Our strikers better get their scoring boots up cos the only way we are escaping disgrace is if we massively outscore our opponents.

GKs with Dual Nationality with a known market value (TransfermarktUS.

Notice they are all young.. at least two are out of our reach.

SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie:
Sir, I don check all their profiles.. the truth is we don't have solid options.
Okonkwo is in League 2 (at least he is their first choice).
Ejeheri plays for Arsenal U21 (1st choice Premier league 2 Div 1)
Osigwe dey warm bench for Switzerland

I think we should go for Stanley Nwabili as an option.

Adeleye (1st choice for club)
Okoye
Nwabili (1st choice for club)
Uzoho

Kog45:
I just checked his profile, sincerely am not impressed cuz he would be another Maduka,so better for him to continue his development.

I guess in Jpes mind, this is the same guy that performed like a hero vs Man U (was it?) with World Cup experience as well..
"he's just having confidence issues"

Kog45:
Why will Uzoho with his age and World Cup experience be warming bench in Cyprus league.I just don’t get it

or maybe the guy that plays in Northern Ireland.
Kog45:
Peseiro already discovered a keeper based on recommendation and is willing to travel to discuss with the keeper but I don’t know maybe is Okonkwo or Atubolu
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 10:34pm On Oct 20, 2023
First choice in the Cyproit league?
Uzhorror when dey warm bench for Cyprus steady

komekn:
Talking about goalkeepers.

Since we simply don't have one , could we go wrong with Okonkwo, considerating how poor Uzoho is past and present.

Media talk about Okonkwo says he has something, having been a reserve goal keeper for Arsenal is a lot better than being first choice in the Cypriot league IMO.

Na only that kind apology I go accept lol.. and I mean in AFCON proper

TheSuperNerd:
Obviously damage control but at least he has apologised. The next real apology is via his showing on the pitch in the next game since we are stuck with him till the Afcon (thanks to Peseiro and his GK dept's incompetence).

I’m not expecting miracles. You want to rely on a GK not getting regular run of games at club level. Where his confidence wan come from?
jihday:
Under Rohr, Francis Uzoho started 51.52% of matches for which he was in the squad. Under Peseiro, he has started 100% – he has never sat on the bench with the Portuguese in charge (not counting the unofficial first Algeria friendly).

Kog45:
Gone are the days Nigerians are so passionate about super eagles cuz then who born a very poor keeper who cost us WC having gut to make this public gibberish.

Uzoho snapchat showing Nigeria national team is going nowhere, meaning we are parading bunch of arrogant players who are not ready to accept criticism and improve.

Even older players criticizing dem na to reply back in a disrespectful manners.
