Haha but the context was how other African nations see Nigeria compared to before. And you are saying my using how other nations see America today is not befitting of the discussion. The verdict is out
Modified And na me bring where you live and work into the matter and how u just came to nairaland to have fun. Those combined statement from you you shows where your head is at. finito
Marjoribanks: This one na story. My point has been made! My post is to show you your hypocrisy and how stvpid you are! You brought America into this not me. Ciao! Your post about America is the most dumb post I have seen on this platform. Talking trash with confidence. lol! Ciao, my guy! No more comment!
So u lack common sense to know that Americans who are well travelled become more informed of how foreigners see the world. They are able to see first hand other developed nation’s systems and make comparison to what they have at home? U no get common sense to know that statement has a strong bearing on how this convo started. I had said the US does not conmand much respect as it used to be. And u claimed Americans will not talk like that about their country which is very untrue. Of corse there are funny fellows everywhere in the world who would hide in the delusion of patriotism to call black, white.
Marjoribanks: Olofoo! "How does Americans I met who are well traveled" comes into the discussion. Modasucka! lol
You didn’t say anything there. Dumb man.how does where you work come into this discussion? .
Marjoribanks: You are the dumb fo..l here. "Speak to Americans that travel out. Not those locked in the cocoon of an education system filled with brainwashing. America has lots its place and don’t have the pride they once had" See the statement from someone accusing one of "Do you know me mentality" lol! I leave you to your delusion!
comodo: I read what he wrote there and all I did was shake my head. Fortunately, I met Nigeria when the land was green. And I know how it was then. Those that didn't meet Nigeria won't understand how we were.
Oga I don’t care where you live or what you do. I probably already figured that out where u live long when you said you were watching a game on peacock. Here comes the “do u know who I am” mentality. I’m not here to compete with anyone. You came here to have fun but I came here for what then? So don’t spill trash. And u don’t have to announce it here. Speak to Americans that travel out. Not those locked in the cocoon of an education system filled with brainwashing. America has lots its place and don’t have the pride they once had. You are a dumb guy
Modified I “downgraded” the whole country? So what has that got to do with tribe or presidential candidate? You know this not the first time. The other day you were thinking I was Igbo and you spilled so much bile. Grow up
Marjoribanks: Guy, how many Americans have you met? lol! Do you know where I live and work? I am just on this platform to have fun. Don't take live too seriously. Nevertheless like me put you in line. There was nowhere in your post that you criticized the govt. You downgraded the whole country. You are the one making unnecessary assumptions!
Many Americans I know admit this. Especially those who are well travelled. So my guy comot tribe for your mind say things as it is. Patriotism is not by mouth.
Modified You will just jump on anyone who criticize the government and brand them a certain tribe. You are the one full of hate. Na today naija start to dey spoil? I have criticized many administrations before now. So what your point? Tribal keyboard warrior.
Marjoribanks: You carry a fake post for head. Who is feeling the pain? lol You are the one living with hate, my guy. lol! Just trying to tell you to move on! No tribe or individual will rule Nigeria forever. We must try to portray our country in good light. "People" Maybe yes but no American will tell you that crap. Why should a supposed Nigerian say crap based on an unverified news if not self hate? (
If what you said is true you won’t sound so pained. When people say the US doesn’t have prestige as they used to, I don’t feel any kind of way. It’s just the way it is.
Modified The problem with many of us is we see everything through the lens of politics and tribe. That’s why the politicians outsmart the common man again and again.
Marjoribanks: Naija rep don fall based on say your client lost election? In no time in history has Nigeria's reputation being so great than now! Africa look to us in every aspect of lives. From tech, music, education, movies, fashion, sport education, economy, industries, banks etc. Guy just hold your UK and stop talking trash here!
Most Africans don’t look up to us as they used to. Naija Rep don fall.
Nomyth: I don't know why Nigeria doesn't pull her full weight in CAF politics. We are just too laid back.
Losing the hosting rights of 2025 and 2027 is a slap on us. Big countries don't take such rejections with kid gloves.
England went berserk when they lost the 2006 World Cup hosting rights to Germany and again in 2018 when they lost to Russia. Even our own Adamu was consumed in the process.
All the big countries that lost the 2022 hosting rights to Qatar didn't take it lightly and took a swipe at fifa and Qatar and even launched investigations of their own questioning the selection process.
Here in Africa, CAF really like embarrassing us whenever we make hosting bids.
We bidded for the 2013 Afcon, only for CAF to give it to Libya and 2015 to SA and told us we will be on standby in case any of them fails to host. Now, Libya was plunged into crisis and couldn't host the 2013 edition and instead of CAF to cede to Nigeria as arranged, they said Libya and S A should swap and Nigeria should still be on standby.
Eventually, Libya could not host the 2015 edition and CAF had to give it Morocco. Again, Morocco could not host because of ebola outbreak and caf had to give it to equatorial guinea. Where was Nigeria in all of these?
All the major countries on the continent have hosted the Afcon 2 times over while Nigeria has only hosted once and gotten another co host.
Tunisia hosted 2 within 8 years, civ is hosting for the 2nd time, even Ghana that we co-hosted with has hosted again.
We should hold our marker down and stop taking this kind of disrespect from CAF.
I’m predicting the same. Where to? To join Onyekuru and Godwin Saviour
charlesemeka85: Ex-England international Carlton Palmer has predicted that Barcelona-linked midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will leave Leicester City in the January transfer window.
Barely a month after the end of the summer transfer window, the Super Eagles midfielder is being linked with a move away from the Foxes.
Besides Barcelona, Athletico Madrid and Juventus are also monitoring the siuation of the Nigeria international , while Bayern Munich had him on their radar in the summer window.
Ndidi is running into the final months of his contract with the one-time Premier League champions, and there are no signs that he wants to extend his stay at the King Power Stadium.
Palmer has suggested that the Nigerian midfielder will leave Leicester City in the winter transfer window
"Barcelona along with several other top European clubs including Bayern Munich, Juventus and Atletico Madrid are all keeping tabs on Nigerian international Wilfred Ndidi," he told Football League World.
"It was believed that the 26-year-old would've been sold following Leicester's relegation to the Championship, but they were asking for too much money.
"Ndidi has started all of Leicester's eight Championship games so far this season as they sit top of the Championship.
"The problem Leicester have is that Ndidi is in the final year of his contract."
They don't know which league they're going to be in so it's difficult for them, I'm sure they would offer him a contract to protect themselves still only being 26.
"But I think it's going to very difficult to get him to commit to signing a new deal, at Christmas he could be going to a club to play Champions League football.
"So the likelihood in my opinion is that he'll probably leave in the January transfer window so Leicester can avoid losing him for nothing next summer."
Ndidi has been in stellar form since the start of the campaign for Enzo Maresca's side, registering four goal contributions in 11 games across all competitions.
Maresca will be hoping that Ndidi will stay at Leicester City until the end of the campaign as they seek to return to the Premier League.
He just dey create space between him and his opponent until they close the cap again. Atilogu master
Meliforme: Have you ever pondered on the purpose of such dribbles? A non supportive midfield, a poor build up of play, a crowded box, etc, can force a player to make dribbles in order to create space for himself or for others.
We need to keep at least two wingers for dynamism sake. We can go with 4 CFs. that’s enough, considering most have not demonstrated they can operate from the wings.
Bannedlargedx2: Our wingers are very inefficient and our strikers are in form. We should just ditch the wingers and play 352
Meliforme: Productivity depends on the context. You might use goalscoring as the context, and you may be right, but that can be arguable when certain variables are brought to the fore.
Ovie na my guy, but will you start him today ahead of Nwakali?. I know he has issues with the club which is why he lacks match fitness
komekn: Ejaria is an enigma, not very vocal but an astounding level of ability.
At the time I talked about him he was an absolutely top level Midfielder for Reading and in the championship.
However, has had issues with several managers not the least of Paul once and Steven Gerard. His team has had serious financial issues they have been relegated and are now facing penalties for not meeting tax deadlines with the HMRC (HM Revenue & Customs)
His current situation is really contradictory the club says he is injured he says he is not, hasn't played for ages. He is cleary in dispute with Reading and his contract will not end until 2024. In addition his salary is about £20k a week at least.
Reading may get docked points again and find themselves in league two club, is in free fall. And it's not a good place to be .
I am going to post a few YouTube videos of Ovie, you have clearly forgotten who he is and tell me if Nwakali can even clean his boots.
Can you now tell me the last time l talked about him as a prospect for the SE, ❓ But even with woes and issues he is miles ahead of Nwakali that you guys can't stop talking about.
komekn: It is a poor quality league with low level intensity.
Look at Oxlade-Chamberlain first game in Besiktas and he is scoring for fun. He was struggling for the past 3/4 seasons to get on the bench at Liverpool.
Goes to Besiktas and he is a baller, that says it all.
Meliforme: Our best wingers are: Chidera Ejuke, Samuel Chukwueze, then Moses Simon, and others.
These player can feed on scrapes, and still try to make things happen. You can rely on them for a certain level of balance. I have seen some improvements in the manner Chukwueze reads his game.
I am beginning to notice Nathan Tella, especially because of his move to Bayern Leverkusen. I pray he gets good game moments, so that i may discern the kind of player he is.
You when dey post for here upandan is asking those questions. Who hold ur hand?
Yes we will keep an eye on him. Nwakali, on ther hand, will get another national team invite.
charlesemeka85: I no really fancy Turkish league, I only rate the top 3 clubs which are galatasaray, fenebache and besiktas to a certain extend but with fisayo’s numbers and performances since he moved to Hatayspor from English league 1 he shouldn’t be ignored
If we can follow the progress of Nwakali playing in Chaves we can as well do same to Fisayo who is even better with regards to being his first stint in top tier football. If Nwakali was the one with such performances and goal contribution here for don catch fire 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I am not saying he should be invited to the super eagles asap but needs to be closely monitored by jpes for the future. For sure if he continues with his superb form better clubs in the league and outside of Turkey will queue up to sign him
I don’t know how many wingers JP plans to take, but our best wingers are clearly Lookman, Chukwueze and Moses. I wouldn’t take more than 3 with versatile Osayi-Samuel in the mix.
komekn: Not too long ago performances in the Championship were considered to be poor quality for SE consideration. The name farmers, carpenters league etc, was used generously.
As soon as fans favourite Ndidi plays in the championship 🏆 the goal posts are moved. That's very normal here.
I do think Ndid is learning to play differently and developing a new more attack minded skill set , can he transfer that to the Premier League if they Leicester city, get promoted ❓
Orban will def get a move. it’s a matter of the price. He will def go for at least 10 mil even if he doesn’t perform until January.
lovewins: Not at his own detriment. How does playing badly and not scoring help his future prospects. Clubs were already skeptical about him cause they can only account for one year of professional football and felt the price placed on him was too much for a gamble. Having a barren second season only plays to their skepticism and won't help Orban on any way. I think it's just a spell and hopes it passes soon for his sake.
