In addition I could argue, none of them have had a run of games, but it's not a material fact.

Tella had an outstanding last season he is now in a team top of the Bundesliga and not getting any game time or a run of games to create form. In addition he has to displace in form Jeremie Frimpong, who is a Dutch international and maybe 🤔 better.

Chukwueze is in a better position but not necessarily good, he also is not getting much game time too. He has to displace Pulisic, who in my opinion is better ,more versatile with better end product.

So in this regard who is better for the SE is open to debate. In my opinion looking at Chukwueze past performances, he dribbles unnecessarily, poor crosser of the ball and his finishing is very suspect.

None of those issues that plague Chukwueze impact on Tella. I can assure he can cross the ball accurately there are basic requirements from academy football ⚽ more so in the Arsenal academy.

Most of our forwards are starved not getting good crosses. What's the point of having a " headmaster ' like V.O. and nobody can cross the ball with quality 🤔to him.

So it's time for Tella to be tried out and it's not a question of poor African football ⚽ pitches,it's about quality end product, football intelligence and work rate as well as helping the defence.

Afcon is even still 78days away. Let us see if he will stay in such form for the WCQs in November while watching the other CB options as well.

Fact is with none of the capped CBs currently convince us, so it won't be a bad idea to give Igoh Ogbu a try before Afcon finally slaps us in the face.

Kenneth has been solid in recent times for Kasimpasa and in the GWG.

He is a player I can't wait to replace and to get good CB upgrade on but for now, truth be told, he is our most reliable CB heading into the Afcon and also our best tournament CB for the last 3 major tournaments.

And this is so because like you said, the others haven't shown they are better.

Note: He played yesterday and was solid.

I agree none have so far been able to dislodge Omeruo, but that’s not because Kenneth is currently in good form. It’s just because they have not been able to show they are better..

Yes we should be praising Omeruo really because he was part of the backline that won an AFCON. He was also part of the backline that helped Nigeria qualify for the 2014 WC and get to the second round.

Our other CB need to step up.

Kenneth on the other hand has nothing else to prove.

I think Bassey would have done better at LB, but we are kind of stacked there now (Collins, Sanusi, Bruno).

As regards the rest, as you have rightly highlighted, it all comes down to Peseiro.. We have the personnel (although average) but still, if he finds the best combo, we can still do a job at the AFCON at least.

A valid question especially as we cannot even ascertain who our best CB pair under Peseiro currently is.

From these lads, who are our most inform CBs? Also who among them can be counted on in terms of defensive reliability, 1st phase buildup dynamics and game reading IQ.

Peseiro still haven't found a sure CB pair that convinces fans and observers. Perhaps next month, we will see him finally make up his mind on what his CB pair truly is.

We watch and see.

I actually think that was Akpoguma's best game in GWG. He did ok before he was subbed off due to injury if I can remember vividly.
However, those are not games I can use to rate either player.

Ajayi, on his part, nothing really strikes me in his game, other than being a regular for club and country. All our CBs should get the bashing.. I didn't get to read what komekn was on about, because by default I know he is most likely pushing for Adarabioyo. All the same, my point is none of those guys in CB should be getting any praise.

Joebie baba,I remember Omeruo came to the rescue after we lost at home to Guinea Bissau with Bassey and Akpoguma as CBs….Omeruo and Semi replaced them in the second leg and did well.

The question should be what is the form of our CB these days,not only Omeruo.

You know it's possible to acknowledge the incredible contributions of Musa and Omeruo to the SE while still pointing out their present inadequacies. Making one point doesn't negate the other.

Can you say the same about Ahmed Musa? My question is what is Omeruo’s form these days in the GWG? In the past, yes, he has been one of our most reliable players.

Omeruo has/is a faithful servant to the SE and no agenda will wash that away. With him we've won AFCON gold and bronze. Qualified for WC twice reaching the second in one of them.

Using his club struggles as agenda to down play his immense contributions to the national team will not fly.

Never met an Urhobo bear that name. But it’s still very possible. Akpo means life and Ovie, king. Life of a king.

So we have Rasheed, Adeleye who are starters in their 1st tier clubs sides. Add Nwabili. We just need dependable and available keepers that keep week in week out.

He will be back in form soon and will definitely be utilized in the WC qualifiers at some point.

is Gift Orban a product of premature overhype? his form lately has been lethargic, Baba never score since last month now and with the plethora of attackers in the SE, I doubt he has a chance to make the AFCON squad especially with his recent Togo wahala...maybe Togo NT is his surest path to international football.

Everything will come together eventually. We will find that perfect CB pairing maybe with the next coach.

Iwobi shouldn't return to the wings abeg... Iwobi's output as a winger is very poor... He is better off in central midfield.
In my opinion, 3-5-2 would be the best option for Peseiro 2 man attacking option... We don't have many wingers to sacrifice anyway.. And aside Chukwueze, our other wing options, Simon and Lookman can play as wingback and supporting striker respectively.. so in a 3-5-2 I'd go with
