The Nigeria Police Force has dismissed one Mr. Richard Gele, the Police Inspector caught in a viral video dignifying and justifying extortion of members of the public and official corruption which trended from the 25th of July, 2022. The Inspector, with AP/No. 188547, who until his dismissal, was attached to Police Mobile Force 77 Squadron, Okene, Kogi State and deployed to the Itobe – Anyigba Road, for safety of road users and commuters, along the route, where the incident occurred.
The dismissed Inspector who hails from Benue State, was enlisted into the Force in September, 2000. His dismissal came after subjection to internal disciplinary mechanism and being found wanting of the charges levelled against him in line with extant laws governing the conduct of police personnel. He therefore ceases to be a member of the Nigeria Police Force with immediate effect. The officer has been de-kitted and handed over to the Commissioner of Police, Kogi State, for further necessary action.
After going through how his case was handled, I begin to ponder on the following questions:
- why is his own case different,(scapegoat) since police extortion is a normal thing on the highway?
- why was he not given an indefinite suspension but a dismissal?
-Did the Nigeria Police force think of what he is going to turn into in the society?
- will the Police force continue with dismissal of all officers caught in these same act?
Even as the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc(+), NPM, fdc, while expressing the staunch commitment of his administration at bequeathing policing standards in tandem with international best practices to the nation, warned all personnel to eschew extortion, unprofessionalism, official corruption and other inappropriate acts. The IGP urged them to display exemplary courage and patriotism in the discharge of their duties,please let the Nigeria Police, The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc(+), NPM, fdc, reconsider these inspector and temper justice with mercy because nobody is fit to survive in the country right now been sacked from his paying job.

The onitsha- ninth mile-nsukka passing through Benue to other northern region is one of the major road that links the north and the south. The federal government should take it seriously as that road has generated huge revenue for the federation.

Back in the days, we use to understand what prostitution is but now we don't understand it the way it was. These day definition of prostitution is of two types Viz:,
The Public prostitution which involves ladies you pick along the road and brothels which you bargain and pay sharply after sex.
The Private prostitution which are ladies in their father's house or boyfriend or religious houses but do hook up's like there is no tomorrow. Just a call, U don collect free of charge...Cheerful givers. They can sleep with more than 5 different guys in different flats of a building and they won't get caught. They are very smart with it and don't feel remorse when they are caught. You take them for an outing, they'll write their number on a piece of paper and give to any guy they admire to call them. They have dirty smelling pussies cos they don't know how to take care of themselves...They are worst than the Public prostitutes... 80% of Naija ladies are classified into these two categories all in the name of slaying queens....Guy, if you get ur babe, no swear for her o. Serious thing happening in all the Ministries right now.....No jobs and Federal Civil Service Commission wants to send some staffs in various Ministries into the street because they fail to do the verification exercise. The best thing they would have done is to call the various staffs in the affected Ministries and organize another Verification exercise for them and Regularization immediately.

A lot of reforms are currently on going in the Federal Civil Service Commission which is why FG placed an embargo on employment since Lockdown in 2020. Until these reforms are completed, there might be no recruitment into the core ministries. However, there's possibility of them recruiting towards the end of this year.

The issue of Governors dictating how & who they want as aspirants in these PDP forth coming primaries is bad...the lastest is these issue of Governors collecting huge bribe in form of money and properties from Aspirants making them Consensus Candidate is bad.... Consensus Candidate is a process in which they oppose a by-force candidate on the masses without proper consultation if that's who the masses wants. These will make PDP loose out in the forth coming election. We are wise now and no longer voting party but we vote individuals that can pilot our affairs for us is what we need...Say no to CONSENSUS CANDIDATE......���

I want to give an information on a pressing issue that is spreading like a wide fire in Benue State. The issue is the issue of the Benue State Governor, Mr. Ortom who has turned PDP in Benue State into a party where aspirants bribe their way to become a consensus candidate. Consensus is not to be forced on aspirants but it is applied only when the aspirants agreed among themselves to it. If there is no agreement to it, then it is advisable for all to go for primary election to test their strength in the poll. The lastest he did was in Gboko and Otukpo/Ohimini Federal House of Representatives seat where in the Otukpo/Ohimini case, he robbed a vibrant aspirant by the name, Hon.Joseph Oche Godwin vying for Otukpo/Ohimini Federal House of Representatives his voting right by making Hon.Alex, a brother of a real estate developer in Abuja by name Mohammed Ochacho a consensus candidate because it was known that the said Mohammed Ochacho bribed both the Governor and the state PDP party chairman a duplex each in one of his estates in the high brow of Abuja and an undisclosed huge amount of money. The said aspirant by the name, Hon. Joseph Oche Godwin has been working tiredlessly to see into the growth of PDP in the constituency which collapsed completely after during the last dispensation, thesame ill fate was meted on Hon Blessing Onuh, the present Member, House of Representative, Otukpo/Ohimini Constituency where she was robbed of her right and out of anger left the PDP to APGA where she was and won the seat of the Federal House of Representatives, Otukpo/Ohimini federal constituency. After her departure from PDP, many faithful left with her which resulted to the collapse of PDP in the constituency. Hon.Joseph Oche Godwin saw that PDP has crashed and the only way to revive it is to reach out to the masses and with that, he started his foundation, G12 foundation where he engaged tiredlessly in philanthropic works reaching out to various communities through charity works and Rural Electrification where he was giving out transformers to communities which the present state PDP chairman, Hon.John Ngbede , Hon.Mike Audu, Benue State House of Assembly representing the Constituency and Senator Dino Melaye were among dignitaries that commissioned the projects in various communities. He also carried out scholarships among students of higher education in various schools and many other projects which he did. With his efforts, he was able to win the heart of many people back to PDP. With that, his people talked to him into representing them in the Federal House of Representatives. He obeyed the voice of his people and brought the form for the seat. Other Aspirant brought forms too and the said Hon. Alex decamped from APC to PDP late last year after a tussle with Hon. Blessing Onuh who kicked them out of the party due to their skimming activities which wasn't possible to do in APC. These made them to come to PDP where they used their cunning ways to lure the Governor and party Chairman of the state into making Hon.Alex a consensus candidate forcefully even as Hon. Joseph Oche Godwin is refusing that they should go for primary election.
We solicit that let the Governor be readdressed by PDP National Chairman, Hon. Iorchia Ayu and other senior cacus members of the party before collapsing the party in the state again so that he will remove his hands from the election and allow for a free and fair election to be done in each of the various Constituency.
