Hello, please who has successfully paid/booked for an hostel in Germany online using hostels.com? How did you go about it and which card did you use for payment?

Thanks.

You have a very impressive CGPA for Engineering Management for admission even in US. But let's focus on DE... most schools offering this course offer it has Technical Management or Business Administration and Engineering and they offer admissions for Winter most times. So search DAAD again for Technical Management, Manufacturing Technology, Production Engineering and Management, Technology and Innovation Management. Some schools like Harz University of Applied Sciences take summer applications. So search again. All the best.

hotboss:
Please, any school whose application for Summer is on? Anyone with such info should let me know.
Online application preffered. I have a CGPA or 3.788/5.00 with about 4 Fs.
I hv tried to check daad and shortlisted some schools whose applications are not open yet .

Since there is no much time, please brothers you can mention anyone you know.
Field: Engineering ( Mechanical, biomedical, process, production, engineering management)

ThNk you all,

I contacted the berlin alien office and I was told that they have checked my entry request and they've informed the responsible embassy. Hence i shld contact them for further info. Has anyone also contacted recently? At this point I don't know what can be done again. It has not been easy waiting.

ShinaLe:
I have said these before. That it seems the Allen office in Berlin is too occupied and this tends to make application slow....
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by johnaolaniran: 9:49am On Sep 21, 2019

ShinaLe:
Please house how long does it take the Allen office in Berlin to send AM? Thanks.

Because the person chose to as there are no laws prohibiting one from purchasing a travel insurance at anytime one wishes too.

You can only advice the person on when to get it not ask "why would you..." as if the has or will commit a crime.

PS. I have read of someone on this same platform that actually submitted his insurance during the interview and when his AM came he was only told to submit his passport. I also heard of another person that asked the VO if there was need to submit hers and she was told No, what was needed from her was her blocked account confirmation at that point.

freakky:
Y would you get a travel insurance before you are given an AM

Unless you can transfer the funds from another dorm account into your gtbank dorm account via internet transfer. If not, if na cash just carry your cash go access bank jejely.

PeSt007:
I'm assuming you already have the whole BA money in your GTB dorm account. If not, forget about anything being urgent. Go to Access bank..

GTB only allows you deposit €1000/week..so it will take you 11weeks to deposit the new BA..Hopefully before Christmas, you will be done with the deposits grin
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by johnaolaniran: 11:56pm On Aug 30, 2019
You can transfer the whole 10k+ to your coracle/fintiba once if you have your dorm account with access(and i think it applies to other banks) so that all the related charges will be deducted once. However, the 10k dollars equivalent cap applies when you are funding your dorm account here in Nigeria with CASH and since you are depositing into your dorm account there are no charges even if you decide to pay in 10 times.

Uzee24:
Of course. U pay charges on each transaction. Tellex, VAT, transfer charge, which is usually a percentage of the amount you are transfering. And some others i cant remember.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by johnaolaniran: 5:38pm On Aug 30, 2019
My tuition fee was paid for from US though it was 4000 Euros but the person that helped me paid said he was called some hours after making the transfer to confirm if he was the one making the transfer and for what purpose the transfer was been made and his source of funds (all basic checks done by banks) and after that was confirmed they transferred the money and it was received in Germany in 3 days. So i guess the same may apply for 10k +. Just tell the person paying for u to contact the bank he/she is transferring from and confirm the details that will be needed and how long it will take.

mcpapillo:
Guys please on the issue of blocked account. If for instance it’s being funded from outside of Nigeria, can the whole amount of 10445 or so be transferred and it won’t be flagged say maybe from uk or us?
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by johnaolaniran: 2:46pm On Aug 30, 2019
I'm so sorry to hear this.

When making/writing your appeal emphasize the reason you believe you have what it takes to undertake the study and complete it successfully. It could be work related experience or probably some courses you studied during your first degree that you will build on during your masters. Google the course if you haven't yet and go through the modules of the program on the school site and give enough reasons to make them believe you know about the course you are going for and that its related to your first degree and your past work experience.

I got to discover during my last interview that german embassy frowns at students going for 2nd degree courses not related to their first degree. That's why i) they keep asking that question and ii) a friend said her VO told her out rightly that the reason why he is concerned that her bsc is not related to her proposed masters is because sometimes the embassy query the schools that "y should they give admission to someone with an unrelated bsc knowing fully well that the person may not have the prerequisite courses need to successfully complete the msc". The friend here had her bsc in microbiology and was going for brand management.

So please i know you said your courses are related but still try and emphasize how they are related and how you are sure you have what it takes to complete the masters during your appeal.

All the best.

Glauben:
Hello guys, I need help.

Had my interview last week Thursday, I got a rejection together with my docs yesterday. The reason for the refusal is:

"There are doubts concerning the indicated purpose of your trip as well as the ability to study."

I intend to appeal but I need help especially from people who have experienced this & successfully appealed afterwards.

Contributions are highly welcome.

It's better you fund 7000 euros on the first day and pay in the rest on the second day. That 9000 euro when converted to dollars is around 10000 dollars exact. If there is a slight change in exchange rate on the day you are paying in and it exceeds 10000 dollars after conversion it will still be flagged. It's better to play if safe than to be delayed at this critical time. (Based on experience)

Vic13:
thanks bro, that means I need fund twice so that my account won’t be flagged and it won’t delay me

TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by johnaolaniran: 7:46pm On Aug 22, 2019
Yeah. It's clearer and i can confirm what you stated. Saw it on their site this morning. They will charge 0.5% on my withdrawal. But i don't think i have a choice as time is not on my side. My account officer also misled me to deposit more than 9000 euros that day. But it has happened and i need to move on because time no dey.

PeSt007:
This was what happened. My account officer misled me.

I wanted to open a dorm account but didn't have references immediately. He asked me to open a 'savings dorm' account, with €500 euro minimum balance which I could later migrate to a 'current dorm', with €1 minimum balance, after providing references. I deposited €8k euros that day and got my references 2 days after and the story changed - they were unable to migrate my account. So they opened a new 'current dorm' for me and said they'd move my funds to the new account without charges, thereby closing my 'savings dorm'.

Na so I leave bank after filling the necessary forms. Before I got home, they had moved my funds but not for free. They charged me €40 cos I moved €8k. I eventually got €7960 in the new account. On getting to the bank today, the staff said I was charged for the transfer. Any outflow from the account locally attracts 0.5% of the amount you're moving/withdrawing. Mine was even Access to Access fah.

So i guess my response to the guy that was contemplating withdrawing his funds is clearer now. If he withdraws, they will charge him.
TravelRe: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by johnaolaniran: 5:06pm On Aug 22, 2019
Thank you for your reply. I just got a message from access bank now that my attempt to transfer wasn't successful because the euro i deposited into my dorm account at once was more than 10,000 dollars equivalent (max i can deposit in a day is 10,000 dollar equivalent). So confused right now because i don't know what to do. Probably i should go and withdraw everything (if it will be possible) and divide it into two to pay it into the account in 2 different days. And if i decide to do that is there any assurance my transfer to fitinba after dat willl be successful.

Saysay01:
Hi there,
I funded with access. I opened my account on 23rd of July(Tuesday), I was given a form to fill, and I was not able to use the account till Friday because one of my reference (you have a form for 2 references) does not Bank with access,so it took longer to verify. I took an Aboki (spoke to one at Eko hotel round about) to access, he handed the money over to the lady at the counter,it hit my account and I transferred the Naira equivalent to his account. I got confirmation from Fintiba on (30th July). Access Bank limit is 10K Euro. Charges range between 32-35k (Remember to tick the box saying "charges should be removed from my Naira account"wink
