[quote author=PanickMode post=59592322]I have been struggling over the months doing menial jobs and saving up the little I can because I took a decision to be self employed by the early phase of this year i.e being an entrepreneur although I have no experience whatsoever. My total savings sums up to about 700k and I need an advice on what will work for me with that amount without regrets..No advice is too little for a brother without experience.
Christianity EtcRe: Father Emmanuel Akalue Reacts To Patrick Edet’s Resignation by Johncuppa(m): 3:27pm On Aug 07, 2017

bros abeg take a moment and lets think, why do you think Jesus said in mark 10:25, "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of the needle, than for a rich man to enter into the
kingdom of God" why will christ choose to use such metaphore? Also remember the rich man that ask Jesus what will i do to enter the kingdom of God, Jesus told him, go help the needy, help the ophans & widow, he reply that he has done all that, Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go,
sell your possessions and give to the poor, and
you will have treasure in heaven. Then come,
follow me."...he couldn't do that. Why? That tell you the level of attachent that money brings.

That is why when Paul wrote to the philipian when material wealth was like bringing problem to the church he told them. I know what is like to be hungry, i know what is like to be wellfeed, i know what is like to have needs i know what is like to have all my needs met, i know what is like to be poor i know what is like to be rich but i have learnt that i can do all things true christ who Strenthens me.

To be hungry & to eat is by Gods grace cus u may be hungry & eat all the food in the world yet can't be satisfy without Christ.

God said if no one will serve him he will raise stone to worship...is it the same God that will not be about to meet the need of the church? Leave human selfishness & greed, remember God said i will provide all your need not all your want.
Bro weldone! I'm not here to argue, the question is why would the same person that preach against being rich pray for it again.
Money is not bad but the level of attachement it brings is the problem
2 Cor. 8:9
9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.
2 Cor.9:11
11 You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God

It's funny how some religious leaders will condemn prosperity and still stand on the alter to lament that the members are poor and the church doesn't have money to execute projects.

How will the church have money when you've told the people that money is evil and that having riches is some sought of sin?

I wonder if these people listen to themselves at all.
God bless you.
This has been my sleepless thought all the while.
I was in a Sunday school preparatory class where being rich was discouraged and the same set of people will lead the prayer against poverty for themselves and church members.
I don't just understand. I wish I could address the whole church and differentiate between "the love of money" and "being rich or wealthy" with scriptural references.
The fact that some are misusing money does not mean we should endorse poverty. Tired!

May God bless all soldiers in Nigeria.

I'm in my office typing and making cool money, in the AC.

Some people are risking their lives to ensure Boko Haram remains in the forest and not come to attack me in the office.

May God keep them safe
Tell them!
They are called to serve not to sacrifice their lives.
But that cool money part sweet me o.

Many people will criticise you but don't mind them.
Bokoharam was killing when the last administration looted our treasury.
Bokoharam was killing when the present administration is visiting London as if they are traveling between Lagos and Ibadan.
Dino Melaye has not seen the end of bokoharam before going for vacation.

Take time to prepare that pepper soup and eat it to the satisfaction of your souls.
That should not stop you from killing bokoharam and it won't stop them from killing you too if they would (God forbid though).
What a bird eat is what bird flies with.

God bless you and be with you all, our dear gallant soldiers.

Jobs/VacanciesJob/vacancy; Fortune Careers Ltd. by Johncuppa(op): 5:14pm On Jul 19, 2017
I just received a message from the above name firm to come for career chart tomorrow by 9am.
My spirit told me whom they are so I Google the name, just to notice many people have been receiving messages from them without knowing when they applied for the job or how they are getting people's number.
This is how they got your number; if you have ever registered on "assist hire" site (the ads is here on nairaland), they claimed to be hiring for Lagos state government for internship program for unemployed graduates in Lagos state, you have successfully given your number to them.

This is to show that not all you see on nairaland are genuine (I'm not saying all). Take your time to verify anything you see here before subscribing to it.

When are the situations where OT are used and when are they forgotten? NT christians pray with Psalm. Pastors ask for tithe with Malachi. Why select those that suits that moment and ignore the rest?
Promises are the same, curses and restrictions Jesus died for. Pastors claiming curses for not paying tithe are not sincere.

PoliticsRe: Top 10 Contenders For The Presidency In 2019 If President Buhari Fails To Run by Johncuppa(m): 9:09pm On May 05, 2017
[quote author=TheCabal post=56243154]I said it before and I will say it again. "the north sleeps well when the west rules" but it will never sleep if the South East or any well known friend to the South East goes even an inch close to the presidency , the reason's are obvious and the present call for Biafra from the South East has made it so much so that several other ethnic groups would rather they never do.

@TonyeBarcanista claims that Osinbajo is not the favored candidate for 2019, however he has provided no facts. Let me start buy reminding you that the north supported Obasanjo twice for the presidency and Jonathan once (Jonathan fell out of their graces when it was evident, he favored the east more than the west and north and his lackadaisical attitude towards insurgency in Borno state)

PDP ticket will go to the north because they need it for votes. APC ticket will go to whomever will guarantee , stability after the presidential election has been won by the APC. APC has Buhari, so the idea of bringing a northern candidate would be stupidity when all Buhari as to do, is raise your hand in a crowd and say "namu ne". He can do this for anyone and they would win, this has been proven by the victory so many candidate won in the north simply because of Buhari. You need Buhari support to win 2019, not a northern candidate

V.P Osinbajo is the most favorite member of the APC at the moment after Buhari. Tinubu recently received accolades for states as far as Borno.
Lagos alone can provide funding for the entire 2019 presidential election and Lagos is Tinubu domain.

Osinbajo was placed as the acting president of the country for 50 + days and he performed excellently , he received accolades for several notable Nigerian's and has also been identified as the reason Nigeria's oil production numbers have risen.

Buhari has praised Osinbajo several times for his performance. He has given him various important roles in which his leadership skills have been displayed. As the V.P Osinbajo is the natural successor to Buhari - this is political tradition in Nigeria, and it is not about to change.

It is very unlikely that Buhari would annoint a candidate other than Osinbajo, even though he has done so several times indirectly. The recent would be Osinbajo attendace of Pres. Buhari P.A wedding several governors and traditional leaders from the north where in attendance. We all know wedding have always been an avenue for political meetings , introductions and affirmations. Osinbajo has made friends in areas where it matters - the North for the votes and the Niger-Delta for the oil.

@TonyeBarcanista need to tell us how Osinbajo would not emerge the Presidential candidate for 2019. Let us not forget, he is also married to Pa. Awolowo's grand daughter. This is a natural succession. PDP does not stand a chance.

God bless you.
