successmatters:The law provides for government to clamp down on people exploiting the citizens with exorbitant prices. Are you on the side of the crooks or the people? Consumer protections act. No situation can be worse than what we are facing now, if you and them like, close down your business, it won't affect Nigeria. |
If we can not live fairly with one another, in equity and justice, them it's best the nation is divided between North and south. The situation where northerners release terrorists, because they are their Muslim brothers, and those terrorists will come to Kwara, Ondo and kill people is unacceptable. |
Stop the release of terrorists, it encourages the young ones to go into terrorism. A state governor should not be able to release terrorists...where is the attorney general of the federation and president. A state governor might have selfish sinister interests, we should not allow state governors jeopardize our national security because of their sinister selfish interest. These terrorists move from north to South, it is very wrong to allow one man wake up one day and release terrorists, terrorists should serve their punishment, like every other criminals. |
Geopex:Please keep speaking out, you are brilliant and blessed, you are a patriot. We objective people should not leave the online space to sycophants, enemies of the nation and clueless kids, we must keep pushing the real issues to the front burner, giving solutions. I hope political office appointees are online, please take good constructive advice...if you political appointees fail to listen to the advice from concerned intellectual citizens, then we all will bear the brunt of the ignorant angry mob, when situation escalates. |
Karleb:Little brained rat. |
Karleb:Nigeria is not shitty, you and your family are pieces of shit. We are different people don't think every Nigerian is living a shitty life as you. Even a primary school kid knows in international trade what matters is interest, Nigeria have crude, we have cash and food crops, and a lot of natural resources, both mineral and solid, to offer, this is what nations need, they are not coming to live here, they are trading with us. Nigeria being shitty has nothing to do with it trading with partners. Like I said, get a little education, and stop being an online miscreant with your block head...all the things you stated, no single sense... typical of a low IQ individual. |
Without subsidy Nigerians will take to the streets... government must be intelligent enough to ensure subsidized petrol gets to Nigerians, the present way of doing this subsidy system is weak. Government should create fuel subsidy debit cards, share to Nigerians through banks, this card will allow the holder get subsidized fuel...at least the banks can be regulated, unlike the weak system of giving money to marketers. Government should think and create solutions, we pay you elected officials way too much, to not think and proffer brilliant solutions. Subsidy is not bad, do not throw away the baby and the bathwater, remove the fraud in subsidy and continue it. This is the only way government gives back to citizens. Without subsidy the informal sector that feeds and supports over N200million Nigerians will dry out, no disposable income to spend after spending money on necessities like fuel, food, this means no investment, low demand, less employment and empowerment, poverty for the greater number, which leads to a vicious circle. Or is the money and revenue of the nation for politicians alone? Nigerian press too are not objective, this Day seem like they are partisan, allied to PDP, some of their propaganda is anti people. |
We have weak laws, stop warning, take legal and constitutional actions against him. |
BigBashiru:You are absolutely right bro, God bless you. |
Karleb:I didn't come to nairaland to engage people with the IQ of domestic animals... people like you are my servants in real life. Go get a little education and orientation it will help your small life. |
BigBashiru:No mind the brainless weak kids, they just come out and talk nonsense, most of them are enemies within, they hate the land they are from and want it to run aground either that or they are very dull, and just say whatever comes to their empty skulls. We must keep pushing the right narrative and teach these kids. Nice one brother. Countries in BRICS are trading in their local currencies and the clown is in his small room suggesting what he knows nothing about. Why won't people buy in naira when naira is more cheaper to buy than naira? Nairaland politics need to have an IQ test button. |
onatisi:Let the market judge, it's all about needs and pricing, you are just one keypad jobless kid typing on his phone, you don't know what people will do. It's funny how people of low IQ jump to conclusions on issues concerning the world, from their small one room apartments. Why won't people buy in naira when it's cheaper than dollars? Do you know Nigeria crude quality is among the best in the world, the Brent crude, this quality is irresistible that is why till today people rush our crude. In trade, it's all about quality, efficiency and pricing... people don't worship dollar like Nigerians do, dollar is not gold or treasure, it's just a currency. You made no point...give me two reasons why people won't buy in naira? Let me test to see if you know what this issue is all about... |
Tochi360:Complainers are useless to the nation, the nation move forward with the help of critical thinkers proffering solutions, not frustrated ranters and wailers. |
Karleb:You must be frustrated and have an IQ of a dog. Go look for food and eat little puppy dog. |
bnanny:As a sovereign nation, we can make policies for the good of the nation and it's people. Nigerian government must be sincere, put aside selfish sentiments and interests and make moves to strengthen naira. It's all about laws of demand and supply and balance of trade, when it comes to forex markets and international trade. The more people and nations demand your currency, the higher it's value goes, and the more you export the more your balance of trade gets positive, all these leads to high value of the currency. We pay our political office holders way too much to go to office to pursue selfish interests, and to please America. We are a sovereign nation we are not slaves of America and dollar. South Africa quietly moved to BRICS...when last did you hear of them complaining of currency crises. The people need to protest, and demand government work for us...marches and protests by the people, this inefficiency of the government should not be tolerated, they are well paid and taken care of, the least they can do is work for the people...and they are not working till our currency value strengthens, so we see value in cash we spend. |
KayyDee:The situation Nigeria is in now can lead to uprising or total grounding of our economy. If Nigeria goes into a comatose and people can not demand anymore, our bouyant market dies, this will definitely make investors run, no serious investor will leave because of policy on remittances, they will only leave when the market is no more here, or when there is insecurity and uprisings triggered by high costs of living due to dollar scarcity. How does foreign investors benefit you directly? But dollar rate increases has led to hyper cost pull inflation, affecting every single Nigeria negatively. Are you in favor of the overpricing of the dollar? Nigerians if you don't have something useful to say shut up, you people are sounding like enemies of your own country. Let the investors complain, not you. CBN is doing this to reduce dollar scarcity...make una get sense o, stop supporting nonsense. |
Good move, all these things companies do here in terms of remittances, they can't do it in UK or America. Let's start selling our crude and gas in Naira, this will strengthen naira, when people start demanding it to make payments in international trade. Falana gave this advice and it makes sense. |
Dollar problem bringing our nation to it's knees. We must remove dollar monopoly from our imports system, and sell our crude and gas in naira, this will strengthen naira. |
pargelenis:Trash talking is for kids and mediocres, Trump is an action man... infact the less you talk about people and just act, the more you are feared, that is part of unpredictability. |
Tochi360:You are just exposing ignorance here, stop being a sycophant, all these major politicians are same. Nobody is wailing, this is a discussion for serious minds not jokers. |
Bebigiby1:You are right on this, the people must unite, form a united cause to demand and push for people centred policies, true federalism is a step towards a better nation. |
Yes Tinubu government is dulling, but Obi don't need to be president to make changes, at least he can start from South East, where he was governor. But you are right, Nigeria is in big problem. |
pargelenis:It's not that deep, no need to argue on this ...but Trump is mean and very intelligent, Putin is scared of this, he doesn't need to trash talk Putin but when push comes to shove, Putin rather be dealing with a Biden than Trump. Maybe you don't follow politics like I do, but it's general knowledge that Trump sent a very big bomb to ISIS gathering in an area close to Syria. Everyone knows who the action man is between trump and Biden. |
BodyCount:You expect him to support Palestine over Israel? Any American president would do same. |
pargelenis:You seem like you don't know who trump is... Putin is scared of Trump because he is unpredictable. Trump stopped China imports as president and forced them to pay extra tarrifs, Trump sent mother of all bombs that shook ISIS and got them scampering from a region close to Syria...Trump commanded the respect of North Korea's leader...if I was Putin I wouldn't want Trump either. |
CelestineNelson:Apt ![]() Trump no get joy. |
Trump na problem man na ![]() |
Zxcvbnmghtr:That is not what public service is about...only in Nigeria these absurd things seem normal...you don't use government public office and service for previledges. |
You lawmakers what do you use constituency allowances for? You lawmakers are black as kettle, calling the pot black...how much do you earn a month, how much is minimum wage? Rep members should focus on removing Nigeria from dollar enslavement not these frivolities. Lazy people |
Judolisco:Trees can help, they trap heat and release cool air. |
You are right, local government and state governments should create green areas, plant trees. Fashola was planting trees as governor, but clueless people were laughing, they don't know trees is directly linked to their health and long life. We need conservation centers in city centres, parks where lots of trees and flora is conserved, for cool clean air. Trees inhale carbon monoxide and exhale oxygen! |
