If not for hybrid battery, Dynamo and AC wahala, d best car to use for ehailing is a Hybrid car like Prius, Muscle Hybrid or Civic Hybrid.
Fuel is d biggest single most expensive expenditure in this business.

So people should target standard size vehicles with 1.4-2.0 litre engines.
Although note that if your engine is small, then u shouldn't be competing with speed on the express with other cars. Plus ur maintenance should be without blemish if u want that engine to last.

I do my services regularly, car is 18months now, never worked on the engine, and the engine is still very sound.
My major challenge since I bought the car has been the AC system

No disrespect but the way you quoted how your classmates dad's trained his children to university by doing taxi work, perhaps you are the type of person that will be contented with solving his basic and immediate needs without looking into the bigger picture. If that's the case then ehailing will give such contention.


But if you are the type that sees the bigger picture of freedom other than solving basic needs and "training children to University" then you need to look for an alternate source of income or plan B because ehailing won't pave that road to freedom.

It's over one year now, my car is still very sound and good. When I wanted to buy that manual car ehn, no be small thing 4 dis thread, but now nko? I don come I don see I don conquer.

What are the chances that if I had invested the money I used to buy car in another business, (maybe buying and selling) that I would have made much more than my capital and still have the business running smoothly, considering the way inflation is rocking Nigeria economy.

Anybody here that wants to buy a car solely for e-hailing should not kill their self to buy flashy and expensive cars.
My advice, go ahead buy a car not more than 1m - 1.5m that has a sound engine good gear and neat interior, u are good to go, u would recoup capital quickly.

If you're a young graduate intending to enter this Uber business, please try and have an exit plan as soon as possible.

Riders can only tamper with price and reduce it, but on the norms, Indriver estimate in most cases is higher than bolt
