Hello all PLEASE i need help.

I just received my GCMS notes after almost 2 months and I’m in panic mode. My education and experience have not been met. My education and experience were not recognized. I attached WES document which was equivalent to master’s degree in Canada and my certificates when I submitted my documents initially. What should I do? Should I raise a CSE and attach documents again. My six months elapsed a week ago. Please what should I do? Plus there was a due date for 31st december 2018. Help me please.

For the past 6 months, you were never sent any instruction to do biometrics? I may be wrong, but from my understanding, if you are ordered to do biometrics, it means you must have passed eligibility, which should include your education and experience. Please let us know if you have done biometrics.

Your attention needed! I need you guys to look into my application which I have already submitted. For supportng documents for education(degrees/diplomas), I uploaded only my university certificate(I didn't add the scan of my ECA; I only typed my ECA number on another section earlier where ECA reference number was required). Should I be worried. I don't want the problem the person I quoted had.

And PPR came on a platter of gold....thanks to this thread!

If you're a lazy writer like me, I must warn you to start typing your story ahead. I didn't (grin), but more than determined to encourage someone with my story.

No ADRs, Single applicant

This has to be my best PPR story I have read, for some reasons.

Firstly, the write-up is very intelligible, and grammar impeccable, almost looking like an IELTS answer script. Secondly, you and I share some similarities: we had the same exact scores in the IELTS's four components(first attempt for mine as well), and I applied as a single applicant. Although, I should be much older than you, judging by your remarkable CRS score, even with just two-years experience; I used 3 or more years of experience, and my score wasn't so much higher than yours. So, I can infer there is some considerable age difference between us.

I must commend the fact that you kept your application as simple as possible, especially when you chose to use only a reference letter(no pay slips, no letter of employment) from your workplace to provide proof of job experience. I feel keeping your application simple makes things easy for the visa officer. I did likewise in my application(I am post-AOR). I even took it a notch further. I had no letter of explanation in my application, even in some complicated aspects. For example, I had a lump deposit in my bank account, days to my application; money was given to me by a relation of mine who had the same surname with me. I chose to just attach a signed letter from him to show he gave me the money (no affidavit, no witnesses, no notarization); I merged his letter to bank letters and statement of account, and uploaded it in the column for proof of funds. Another area I may have had to write a letter of explanation is explaining why I didn't get a letter of work experience for my current job (which I have been in for almost 2 years), and another job many years back. For the rest of my previous jobs, I had letters. I felt the need to keep the application very simple. I am however open to any requests from the visa officer, for further documents, or explanations. I hope my approach won't backfire, anyway.

I wish my application process is as swift as yours. I have to say, yours is the quickest I have seen for a single applicant, and it gives me hope. Congrats.

It's PPR guys!!!!!!!
Praise The Lord!!!!
So I have been a silent reader on this forum and started from part 5 just after my AOR and followed religiously till the wait became too long and I didn't want to feel overwhelmed with other getting PPR and mine taking so long but in part 7 I read occasionally and said this is where I would testify and to God be the glory I'm here. I'll start with my decision to apply which was in May 2018 and went head on to reading for my IELTS and read and passed once ( to the glory of God) using only three website my score was
Reading 8.0
Writing 7.0
Listening 8.5
Speaking 8.0
As I was in the process of IELTS I applied for my WES and that was slightly smooth as I had to pay for tracking as nipost only prioritize mail with tracking so I eventually got it. The same happened for my PCC from the uk but I got it in no time
My time line
AOR -Sept 17 2018
Medicals/15 Oct
biometrics 16 Oct
From there a long wait began. in December I callers IRCC on application and heard review required and thought nothing till January when I order a GCMS and found review required for POF which was 21 dollars shorts of the minimum requirement I quickly sent an updated POF and attached a letter of explanation on the 13th of Feb and followed up with a call and they confirmed they had received it.

I also called again two weeks ago and spoke to a very nice rep who told me no cause for alarm that they were working on it as we speak.
On Monday decided to call and heard the doc was just added to my file on the 15th March and I was sad cus I thought it would take months.

And fast to today I just received my PPR. I want to thank each and everyone here for sharing their story and experience they have helped me through this trying times. There were days I would call my bf and cry and pray but in all keep hope alive and trusting God in this process. For those who might feel discouraged, sad or confused that there is no movement please have faith and trust God is working behind the scenes, for you. It will surely end in praise.

You are the way maker, miracle worker and promise keeper. Praise the Lord

Congrats. But nor vex o. How did you get 7 in Writing? wink

Urgent!

Post-ITA. I am filling address history of the past 10 years. I have been on 2 trips abroad, with each 3 months in duration in which i stayed in different places which include hotels. Do I need to add these abroad addresses in my form or just the address in Nigeria from where I took off from?

Finally! Congrats!

Bro. You want to shoot yourself in the leg? Please use your dollar account ONLY. Also, remember that if there are huge sums deposited into your account, you'd have to explain. Funds received from the sale of a personal property or a gift deed, etc. Goodluck.
Thanks. I’m working on getting a letter from my helper.

Thanks my dear.

I literally jumped for joy. Congrats bro. I will follow your footsteps

Wow. Thanks so so much. Imma jump for your PPR too.

Congrats dude, this is good news. I think the dollar account is enough, just have the right LOE/docs to explain any bulk transactions
Thanks Jenny. I will do all that.

Ifeoma77:

Yayyyyy!!!! Congrats!!!
Use only the dollar account statement
Ok sweerie. Thanks.

Congratulations bro.... finally you'll be sleeping and sbnoring on this day grin grin. May the rest of the journey be smooth.

URGENT!

If I have all the money I need for POF in my dollar account, do I still need to get bank statement of my naira or salary account (no money in the naira/salary account).

And by the way, I have finally gotten my POF! Yippee!

Lots of people offer invaluable assistance for free on this thread. And we're mostly black here.

And there are whites who charge for services offered. Just like some of us here do.

I didn't say anything contradictory to the two points you just mentioned. Many Nairalanders offer help here free of charge in the form of advices, information, etc, but outside of here, like in this case at hand, some of us will want to make money off our help.
I don't mean to be biased against our race, but you will hardly see an average white person charging you that sum(10k) just to scan and email your document to you. What does it take to scan and send a document to someone? The average White, or should I say European --I have been to only Europe, other than Nigeria-- will simply decline to offer any help if it will be too inconvenient for them. But should they help, I can bet they will not ask for any amount of money. That is not to say Whites do not charge for services; in fact they charge hefty sums, but such situations are mostly work or business related, and not personal issues.

Also, you calling someone pauper, remember it was the cost of the courier you were trying to cut, I believe. Enough said, let us all act mature. And by the way, it is not everything that we Nigerians must charge people money for; money is not everything. When I was in Europe, I found out that the Whites were even more inclined to helping me, selflessly, more than our own countrymen. If you can't willingly help someone, sometimes it is best you ignore any plea for help; don't try to make an income out of your giving-a-helping-hand. A number of times I have helped assist people in their IELTS writing preparation without asking for a dime. That should be our attitude if we want better countries, both here and Canada.

Na so. The law of gravity. But I think they are reducing the invitations and possibly increasing the cut-offs, because people are attaching both spouse, children, grandchildren, etc, as dependents. So, more than the envisaged number of people are landing in Canada.

Seriously, I dont know. I have never gone beyond ITA stage like you. But just try it and see. I believe you can edit so far your CRS is not interfered with. Our seniors on this forum will also throw more light. Hang around.

Please before I entered the pool, my calculated CRS was 460+ but I haven't received ITA from today's draw. Can I still make changes to my Express entry profile. I just noticed I didn't write out the name of my previous place of work completely. Please can I still edit it?

If you entered the pool, let's say 1 day ago, you may not get ITA. But wait till 9pm and see. You may get in this draw. I believe you can edit stuff before you submit, so far it does not reduce your CRS score below the cut-off.

Hello house,
How are you doing today? Congratulations to all PPR & ITA clinchers, IELTS smashers and ECA holders (there's no small victory)....
Please, concerning ECA with CES, i chose an option of delivery via mail to an address in Canada, which ofcourse, can't be tracked. My question now is that will i at any point of this application need to submit the copy that CES will be sending to me? I understand they will forward a soft copy to me which i can use to enter the pool.
I need clarifications please; before i shoot myself in the leg

I dont think so. If you will need anything for your application, it is always going to be soft copy. The original copy can always be scanned to you from Canada.

Thanks guys for the contributions. I didn’t really consider I could be hampering other people’s chances of getting ITA. But that could be a fact. In that case I won’t decline my next ITA; I will be wait till the final second before declining should I not get my POF. Ifeoma77, you are my reminder alarm wink. I will let you guys know when my next ITA drops, just in case my own memory fails me as regards the expiry. Thanks so much for the concern.

ok..he had many days to chill and see if he could raise the money sha..
I declined because I am sure to get another ITA. Also, I wasn't sure of when I was going to complete my POF; even now, I am not 100% sure. From my knowledge, it is better you decline ITA than let the ITA expire; if your ITA expires, your profile will be scrapped, and you can run into trouble when you later apply.
I know myself; I may become nonchalant and forget the exact day my ITA would expire. I didn't want to take that chance, and so I declined quickly.
What I have resolved to do is this: for any ITA I get, I'll wait for 2-3 weeks, and if there is no hope of completing my POF soonest, I will decline. If my CRS was 450 or below I wouldn't decline so fast, but with CRS 465, I strongly believe I would always get the next ITA(so far I decline 24-48 hours before the next draw; that is the time, I think, it takes to get back into the pool whenever you decline an ITA.
Lastly, after I apply, if the visa officer requests for an explanation for my previous ITA declinations(which I doubt they would ask), I will gladly explain why I declined as thus: 'I was not sure of when I would complete my POF'.
