That's if in some sense You are not more concern about cheap likes online than the truth. What's your point exactly? Is social media the cause of the Fulani herdsmen terrorists raiding of communities that is directly causing Famine in the land? Did social media embezzle billions meant to power? Is social media the one inflating and padding our national budgets? Or is Twitter responsible for all the abandoned projects in Nigeria? You people will leave real issues that is destroying this country and be chasing shadows. Shame on you all. Posterity will be unkind to you all. |

TeDesQ: I disagree
When people no longer have strong grip over controlling people, they feel threatened.
It's control freaks that would have such ìdeologies seeing that massive amount of people they once had as captives are no longer captives of their ìdeologies and control.
The world will continue to be a free place for people and will never return to an era where people are dominated and controlled people by fiat
It's control freaks that need to develop restraint and control themselves So apt! Social media has changed lives and still changing lives for good. You can get a job, or even go into partnership with foreigners. And you all make money together. This old generation are fighting a lost cause. Today there are Jobs like telegram moderators for foreign groups that pay insane money. Anyone qualified candidates can take it up. No college degree requirements, No gender, No colour, No age barrier. I spent five years getting a degree (4years program+ plus 1year ASUU strike) only for Gtbank and co to tell me that I'm above entry level age requirement. And Social media gave us opportunity to earn money and these bastards are not happy. This man should face his church and private jets and let the youths survive the way they can. Anyone working to take away the only freedom we have will die miserably. I'm happy the youths are far ahead of them. |

Comments on Nairaland alone are enough to repel foreign investors! Nigeria is down already, as it is, but negative portrayals of the country such as this one, on international platforms do the already battered image of the country no favours.
Ghana ain't sh!t, but Ghanaians won't stop hyping and giving their country good PR.

Baxilexi: My take on the inflation and devaluation quandary has always been linked to the forex market. The channels by which the FG has chosen to disperse this legal tender has created so much racketeering, which in turn fuels inflation. How I see it. FG decides to sell USD to a selected few at standard rate, these few in turn to another privileged few. Between one dealer and the next the dollar appreciates an artificial value and by the time it gets to the end user it’s always 30-35% it’s true value. This in turn means that businessmen must factor the purchase value into their commodities as not all of the have access to various government instruments. This in turn increases the cost of a basket of food and alters the purchasing power parity.
It’s worse outside the country as Nigerians in diaspora watch the black market Abokifx rate to sell forex. I sincerely think Abokifx parallel market should be scrapped. They should advertise only CBN and BDC rates. Why? The CBN will always need to pump more Naira into circulation to purchase a fixed amount of dollars as it changes hands. Eg. 1 million dollars is supposed to be purchased at 412million naira, but the end user purchases it at 515million naira… who prints the artificial 103million naira? I was once told this is due to demand and supply and I dare to say it is also due to the deregulation in the market and scarcity by hoarding.
The solution I believe is that, Individuals should have direct access to dollars via their bank apps, within limits of course ($1,000 per month) this would eradicate the inflators. Form A, Form Q and other instruments for dollar acquisition, would still exist for persons in need to larger quantities.
Nigerian money merchants (similar to western union and moneygram) should be licensed and promoted, to help regulate the exchange rate. So apt. But decision like this can only be taken by a leader with Ballz. They killed the economy immediately they made it difficult for people to access FX while giving a few access. On a weekly basis CBN sells $20k to BDC who in turn sell at black market rate earning almost #100 spread for doing nothing. |

The Nigerian Financial institutions don't know what's about to hit them.
They have nothing to offer the millennial generation. I can't imagine myself investing in Nigerian stock when I can buy stable crypto currency and do staking and lending on wault.finance, Ftx exchange and I can get almost 50% per annum. With the advantage of securing my investment in USD. So anything Emefiele like let him exchange Naira. millennial generation are ahead of him.
This is more reason people like Buhari, Lie Mohammed should be at home playing with their grandchildren. This current economy has no place for analogue leaders |

I will oppose even a Yoruba who is trying to break Nigeria as much as a Christian killing Muslims. If you don't stand for something because you want to sit on the fence, things will go so bad that you will regret doing so. Our coporate culture is patriotism over profit. When people wake up to destroy what others have built, stand up. Today, it could be them , tomorrow it could be you. Online bullies almost dragged Nairaland to the dogs and made every thread toxic. I am a Nigerian and proud to be one, if you want to destroy my country or cause war in my fatherland, I will stand up for my fatherland, even ahead of profit. Hehehehehehehe... You're not serious at all. So you're the one that will stop Nigeria from breaking? You don't get to choose what is worth saving. People already built their brands on twitter over the years. Dadaboy: Good day Nairalanders..
I am in dire need of support from people who have travel experience. When I say travel experience, I mean people who has relocated from Nigeria completely.
I will be 30 next month, single (have always hated the idea of marrying any lady in Nigeria because I have been unlucky with most of them i met as they seem complicated, inconsequential, dishonest and inexposed).
To make this short, I spent a lot of my youth working so hard to save enough money with the mindset to relocate from Nigeria as Nigeria depresses me alot.
I have been able to save nearly 20 million naira, excluding investments running in millions i wish to put on cargo to ship wherever I wish to relocate to.
Now, my problem is finding a suitable location or environment where i can relocate to without stress and problems.
Note that, I do not intend to work for anyone as I have my own skills.
United States, United Kingdom are out of my plans as I have realised their system are not built to favour me or my type of person and seem more like stress and a slavery environment to me.
I applied for Canada visa with hope to get work permit but has been on hold for months as they have been on lockdown since.
Having lived in South Africa before for a short while and felt like home there, I had it as an option but I am at crossroads, if I can have better suggestions from experienced people here.
Also, if anywhere in Europe is advisable (remember I do not wish to work for anyone except part time, in my field or if must require me to get a work visa)
Please I need advice. Baba #20M is enough to be doing lending and Staking of stable crypto currency that can give you about 50% returns in a year without any real risk exposure. So without working again in your life you can have #10M annually while living in Nigeria. Travel when you want to travel |

Whn Boko Haram started with Mohammed Yusuf the founder of the cult and that TERRORIST group. Most Northerners especially, the Muslims among them, have SENCE of False security and inwardly happy when ever Churches or Christians were attacked. With the believe that the group will never touch them.
Fast forward to 2021, over 90%, of same Northern Muslims who thought Boko Haram TERRORISTS are for Christians and Southerners alone, can not visit and has not visited their States in more than 8 -10yrs. They hid their families in ABUJA(the only city in the North that has sameblance of peace), LAGOS, SOUTH Western States. While the privileged ones among the elites hid their families abroad. Much as I really don't like how the police extort and carried out it operations in most part of Nigeria, I guess they are still better that THUGS. SOMEONE SAID, "IF YOU HATE POLICE, TRY THUGS"
