though I am a quite good cook, I know next to nothing about nigerian foods. How I wish I could help you. But I thought I should comment, because I found this game between you and your girl very romantic.
I can only wish myself such a peaceful constructive playful relationship.
By the way, Frankfurters are charcuterie inspired from Frankfurt. So Hotdogs if you like, a kind of sausage. Hot dog.... OK that works for me |

1Sharon: Parboil rice and set aside(drain liquid). Boil chicken till tender and set aside, don't forget to add seasoning then grill or fry.
Dice up onions some mixed veg including carrots, red and green peppers add some peas and sweetcorn you can also add prawns if you like, you can also dice frankfurters along if you like. You can even dice up the boiled chicken too. Fry the mixed veg combo and add some margarine don't forget to season. Then combine the mixed veg with the rice, add the chicken broth too . The idea is to let the rice complete cooking while marinating in the veg and chicken broth.
Enjoy with ur grilled or fried chicken
Biko what is frankfurter? Confusion don fall on me be that |

Hello, this is my first time making a post on this section so i hope i will get warm responses that will make me a regular participant of this section. Well good evening all, help a brother out, i am in a fix here and i will need all the help i can get. So i have this fun game i usually play with my fiancée, we each get turns to pick the type of food we love and the other will make it. I picked Nsala soup and Orah soup within this week and i enjoyed every bit of it. Ok the table has turned once more, usually she picks food that she knows i can make like jollof, stew, local soups and all, i am a pastry chef so i hardly pay attention to types of food that i usually don't eat, i enjoy local dishes more (Igbo dishes to be precise) So this girl has opted to make it very challenging for me, she picked fried rice and chicken, i have never made it before though it looks pretty easy to me but i certainly want that fried rice to be delicious you know but i am afraid as this will be my first attempt at making one. after each special meal turn we either tease each other of how terrible the food was or how delicious it was (if that's true) please i don't want her to yab me. eeeppp me !!! So here am i asking for help, fried rice recipes that works for you, you may add after pictures of your fried rice if available. I promise i will upload pictures of my rice if it turns out great Please help a brother out, make i no fall hand for this one, she certainly wants me to fall hand but i've got you guys on my back so no shaking!!! |

Christianity Etc › Re: Is There A Thing Such As Luck, Does Luck Exist? by johnydon22(m): 12:09pm On Sep 09, 2017 |
Let me present my argument that it was taught to us during my days in the seminary, you can say there is luck
We argue that we make our own luck, we make our own success but this is not always true, we say we are lucky when things beyond our control works for our good.
Take this for example:
You are about to shoot an arrow at a pole, there are things you can control such as how hard to draw your bow, how high to set your target, the precise point you want to shoot.
Now you have done the things within your reach you release your arrow.
Many things could go wrong that you cannot control or even could have predicted.
A strong whiff of wind may blow at that very moment and take your arrow off course, your bow might even snap.
These things beyond your control by proxy determines the outcome of your action, so if these factors beyond your control works perfectly well (some may say coincidence) then we say you are Lucky.
If they work against you then we say you have met ill Luck. [Introduction to Philosophy] |

Sapiosexuality: Okay. The only possibility of a Kabbala was ridiculed at the same time it was being made. I get your point though.
The world is in a sorry state.
Everyone knows what to do to better it but no one wants to do them.
Even science was and is still political. The cure for AIDS. The Cure for Cancer.
I honestly don't believe that there is no cure for AIDS or Cancer. I've seen too much knowledge to believe we are that dumb.
Why ban marijuana and allow alcohol? Why is DMT not popular?
Why does it seem like there's a purposeful omission of Tesla today?
I don't buy your stories but I get your point. This is where religionists make sense. There is a devil or dark energy ruling this world and will never allow the right things to be done. It's not just greed. getting the point is enough for me, that is the purpose of the story |
Christianity Etc › Re: Make Up Your Minds Christians, Is The Law Done Or Not? by johnydon22(op): 10:29pm On Sep 08, 2017 |
Wilgrea7: during my days as a liberal .. i went with the saying that the law was fulfilled in a new testament law
Matthew 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 22:38 This is the first and great commandment. 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
but then.. Christians will still want to run to the old testament to support things like tithes and first fruits.. its like trying to eat your cake and have it.. the law was for the jews.. if someone accepts part of the old testament law... he/she should accept all.. and i mean ALL Now here is someone who gets the point |

dalaman: As I aforementioned, everything is subject to personal interpretation and opinion. I do well agree, and such doctrinal issues cannot be discussed without these subjective interpretations coming into focus |
Christianity Etc › Re: Make Up Your Minds Christians, Is The Law Done Or Not? by johnydon22(op): 10:27pm On Sep 08, 2017 |
DoctorAlien: If your purpose of opening this thread is simply to show us that different denominations within Christianity believe different things, I must point out that this is quite a very useless thread. Read that post again as many as times as it takes for you to get it. Does the law totally apply or not? Simple premise |
Christianity Etc › Re: Make Up Your Minds Christians, Is The Law Done Or Not? by johnydon22(op): 10:26pm On Sep 08, 2017 |
DoctorAlien: Just like you may never see any line in the Bible that says "thou shalt not smoke" or "thou shalt not cheat in the exam hall". You will also not see "thou shalt not lust after a lady" in the 10 commandments. How do we know these things are bad? We allow the law of GOD speak to us in depth. Expounding on the 7th commandments, for example, reveals to us that fornication begins in the heart. Expounding on the 6th and 8th commandments reveal to us that smoking and exam malpractice. This invokes the subjectivity of christian morality since such exemplifications leads to different conclusions of implication |

Christianity Etc › Re: Make Up Your Minds Christians, Is The Law Done Or Not? by johnydon22(op): 10:15pm On Sep 08, 2017 |
DoctorAlien: LOL. You know I won't fall for this. It is not about falling for this, that particular post affirms the argument i raise: Does the law apply or not? If the Law does then all of them holds[which ever type they may be, all can be summarised as the law] if the law has been done away with then they all must have been done away with, thats the point. Goshen raised an argument different from yours, he nullified the totality of the old testament law, so this is not a trap for you but another example of Christian doctrinal and theological contradiction |
Christianity Etc › Re: Make Up Your Minds Christians, Is The Law Done Or Not? by johnydon22(op): 10:12pm On Sep 08, 2017 |
DoctorAlien: Tithing is compulsory. As I said, it can be seen as a direct consequence of Commandment no.1 which says "I Am the Lord thy GOD, which have brought thee out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me." One may try to key into your reasons but surely will also be healthy to point out that this commandment does not say "I am the lord thy God, give me 10% of your income" No other gods. Not even money. Now, "to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin."(James 4:17). GOD claims the tithe as His. GOD specifically commanded tithing. For what purpose? To sustain His work on earth(the priesthood and temple services, in the case of ancient Israel). Is GOD's work still on earth? Yes(Matt. 28:18-20). Since we know that tithing was a command to support the work of GOD, which is a good thing. Now, if we refuse to support GOD's work with our tithes and offerings, knowing that it is a good thing to do, we disobey Him and disobedience to GOD is sin(James 4:17). a good argument of implication - I like that |
Christianity Etc › Re: Make Up Your Minds Christians, Is The Law Done Or Not? by johnydon22(op): 10:10pm On Sep 08, 2017 |
Goshen360: Everything about the law and the old testament is fulfilled in Christ. Christians are done away with the law of the old testament INCLUDING THE 10 COMMANDMENTS. The Spirit in you is now what guides and lead you through the complete word of God. Now here comes the twist.. DoctorAlien, feliximor the party is right here. So Goshen, no laws from the old testament is binding to anyone in this era? |
