BY- SAHARA REPORTERS NEW YORK March 28 2015. With just hours to the 2015 presidential elections, SaharaReporters has been informed of the detention of some chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) by the Sokoto State command of the Department of State Security (DSS). Those under arrest include Alhaji Mu’azu Zabira, the chairman of APC’s Security Committee. The home of another APC chieftain, Alhaji Ummarun Kwabo was raided, during which Alhaji Abubakar Kani was arrested. Up to the time of this report, no information was available with regard to where they are, or the offences for which they are being held. Confirming the situation to SaharaReporters, the APC acting Chairman in the state, Alhaji Usman Suleiman Danmadamin Isah, said arrests are one of the strategies of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to use force to seize power in the state. Alhaji Isah said efforts were being made to secure the release of the men before the election. Responding to telephone inquiries, the DSS Director, Abubakar Bubuche, denied knowledge of the arrests. The Sokoto State Police Command Public Relations Officer (PPRO), El-Mustapha Sani, also denied that the Police have a hand in the arrests. The state PDP, in conjunction with the Federal Government, is alleged to have listed about nine APC chieftains in the state as well as some state government officials to be detained until the result of the elections is announced. Meanwhile, Justice Rilwanu Aikawa of the Sokoto Federal High Court has restrained the EFCC, ICPC, the Police and the NIA from arresting state government officials in relation to investigations in alleged cases of appropriation, disbursement and administration of monies appropriated between 2008 and 2014. Also on Friday in Kaduna, Kaduna State, the police was reported to have attempted to detain several APC chieftains, including the governorship candidate, Nasir El-Rufai, the APC Senatorial Candidate for Kaduna North, Suleiman Hunkuyi; and a top campaign council official, Lawal Yakawada. Premium Times said the APC officials had declined to honour the invitation, but that their lawyer wrote to the police to say the matter over which they were invited was already in court. http://saharareporters.com/2015/03/28/sokoto-state-apc-chieftains-arrested

OLADD:You already brought a curse upon your head by quoting me again just because of matter that is of no material, physical or psychological concern to you. |
Osakah24:Fixed |
Jonathan and Nebuchadrezzar in the same sentence is simply ironic. |
OLADD:If I'm to curse you and ur generation, you will never be delivered of it. What is your personal problem with what I wrote. Is PDP your family? and to say you have the gut to involve my family show you are a goat. Omo osan tin ko ponpo ba iya e. Look at this Moniker very well, if you quote me again, your parents will never rejoice over you. Inglorious Bastard. |
At least the first one did not mention Buhari. But the second one specifically mentioned Jonathan. Jeremiah 38:26: Then thou shalt say unto them, ‘I presented my supplication before the king, that he would not cause me to return to Jonathan’s house to die there.’ |
This land belongs to the victory of APC/GMB beware of 419, PDP and their children(supporters) awon omo ale jatijati. Sai Buhari |
Subhanalahi |
Fee Dee Fee. This people are just desecrating this land with corruption and impunity. |
Honestly Hausas understand politics than Igbos. They are travelling out of the northern states and yet they expect 25% votes from the north. Who will give them the 25% votes they need? Do they expect the abokis to give them the vote? |
Loyalblak007:Or medical street |
JackBaueress:Don't mind that deluded soul. Because Jonah paid for front page then the editor should hide the kidnap story when every other newspaper has it on the front page. TANoids has |
Ifeann:I don't need the second hand online history that has being compromised over the years by various hatred motivated individuals. @bolded exactly my point this people don't just go to another man's land looking for trouble if you don't go to them. They don't go out if you don't invite them. Why don't you leave them alone with their way of life. Tell the west to leave them alone. When christians were being jailed in china for practising their religion where were you. Please explain this comment of yours quoted below because u didn't make an atom of sense, no offense intended. Did u even read what i wrote ? How can a society be prejudiced on others just because of religious affiliationAfter the insult, then no offence intended? You go back and read your comment again then read mine, maybe you'll get it. Still I will go back to my initial stance. Islam is the greatest threat to the Illuminati/western agenda of a New World Order. Maybe if you channel your research energy to the study of New World Order as it relates to antichrist, you will come to understand Islam better. But then again you hate Islam already. Lack of information is bad in this age and time but incomplete information is very dangerous. I see you're not lacking information neither are you entirely ignorant but the problem is that either you have been misinformed or have an incomplete information. |
aLgoridim:Lol. I'm flattered. Am a learner too o bros. Baring the violence and deceit, I just love the manoeuvres. |
WisdomFlakes:Leave them alone. Wole soyinka said something of such last week. Now Obj. This is the first time Obj and Soyinka will agree on the same thing. GEJ is not ready to hand over to Buhari. |
Ifeann:My friend the fact that you said christians are not allowed in Saudi Arabia shows you know little about the religion and countries practising them. That alone is enough to nullify what ever you've said. Their constitution forbids their citizen from becoming a christian. If the citizens are not shouting about it. What is the busines of an outsider? Please tell me what percentage are muslims in brazil, argentina, columbia, chile all those south american countries. Do you know how many christians were being jailed/killed in buddhist nations like china. why not go to them and complain? Do you know that: as at 2010 only 1.8% of chinas population are christians. Why didn't you complain about that. http://m.christianpost.com/news/official-survey-reports-23-million-christians-in-china--46293/ As at 2010 only about 35000 out of 170million brazilians are muslims. Less than 001%. No muslim is shouting. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_Brazil Argentina has the largest Muslim minority in Latin America. Although accurate statistics on religion are not available (because the national census does not solicit religious data) the actual size of Argentina's Muslim community is estimated around 1% or 2% of the total population. The figures vary from 400,000 to 700,000 Muslims living there today. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_Argentina Compare this percentage with Brazil's The population is estimated to be 32,585,692 as of July 2014, with most of them being Arabs (75-80%), followed by Kurds (15-20%) and others (5%). 99% are Muslims, 0.8% Christians and the rest belong to other minorities. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Iraq Again my question What do you, the christians, the west and Illuminati want or have against Islam and its nations? Why not leave them alone and let them be? |
maestroferddi:Man you just proved my point right. You don't win people over to your side by insulting/bullying them. But I will still pretend not to see your insults. Were the Igbos being insular, tribalistic or belligerent when they voted for Obasanjo instead of Buhari and even Ojukwu in 1999 and 2003?In 1999 no one had a choice because there were only two options on ground and they were both Yorubas. In 2003 the general election was total fraud as stated on wikipedia (whether you voted or not, it wasn't your vote that brought him in)so your claim on voting for a particular Yoruba man is flawed. In 2007 there were two major candidates both from the north. Now that any Ijaw man from the minorities happen to be in power, agents of short-sightedness and bigotry like you want him out at all cost. What is Jonathan's sin other than that he hails from the perceived wrong part of the country? No one is against someone from an ethnic minority. If you've forgotten, when he was against the so called cabal, people came out on the streets of Lagos to protest. The protests were led by Yorubas. In 2011 we all voted for him because he claimed to have no shoes growing up. His sin started in Jan 1 2012 with the removal of subsidy without preparing modalities to cushion the effect on the masses. Since then it has being from one great sin to the other. The worst was that he never took responsibility for any of it being the CEO of the nation. I also believed the sins are not hidden for anyone to see except someone in denial. His sins are so much that you will have to put them into various Heads and sub heads. Both direct sins and vicarious sins(PEJ). Even his wife admits that he has failed, telling us we should allow him to repeat. This is Nigeria(a Nation of 170million people) not some primary school. Are you more patriotic than the Igbos who have exhibited political maturity in waiting for their turn? Or do you think that Igbos do not have the resources and the capacity to further overheat the polity by joining the fray?Patriotism indeed. As patriotic as the biafrans. Talking about joining the fray. If you've not joined the fray then what are you doing here defending the clueless fisherman. 80% of TAN members on this forum are brothers/sisters from the SE. So are you still talking about joining the fray or you're mixed in the fray already. The Igbos would support Jonathan because it is the proper thing to do. No amount of thoughtless propaganda and persecution will make us change our resolve.Yes it is the Igbotic thing to do, to support Ebele Azikiwe even with all the evidence of failure staring at you. We all know when our (the Igbos') opportunity would eventuate. When that time comes, we shall have our way and nobody would stop us. We wont need to ingratiate ourselves to anybody to achieve our objectives. The Igbos are too big/relevant in Nigeria to become marginal players in the scheme of things.Yes you don't need the support of anyone because you're so big to have produced the most leaders for the nation. Dats why your minority neighbour has produced president while you the giant majority has not tasted it since God knows when abi. Shio Take my advice, coming from a politically sophisticated tribe. Politics is a game of chess/draft. You learn how to negotiate and make sacrifice. Yorubas sacrificed the woman from south west that couldve being the speaker of house of reps just to get rid of PDP in the south west. While also gaining ally from the north east. Now PDP/GEJ is sweating for it. |
Sweetguy25:LWKM ooo. Though I don't support your argument but wat you wrote here got me cracking. What has their result got to do with contractors reply. Why was the bridge closed then. Cos apparently people had started using it before it was suddenly closed. |
And the south south people who turned your properties into "abandoned properties" after the war and took over them are your friends? Even the Yorubas were gracious enough to let you have back your properties after the war. Honestly with the way this our Igbo brothers/neighbours do their thing makes it hard and complicated for them to lead this country. They're not ready to cooperate with any other tribe to get to the top but they want people to cooperate with them. Nigerian politics is 'scratch my back, I scratch yours' you can't lead with your isolation politics. The Hausas are killers, the Yorubas are betrayers and slaves to the Hausas. Blame the other tribes but them selves. Its time you people learn to live with others. Also learn that politics is not about bullying or intimidating others to support you. You learn to sacrifice sometimes. A Yoruba man installed a sick hausa man as president just to satisfy the south south people. The hausas were not angry after his death instead they were patient cos they know 2015 is not far. Instead of you to accept that this guy has failed and wait for 2019 you're busy soiling someone's image. But wetin kosain me. When its time for me Yoruba to be president nobody dey dispute am. Its time the realised that we are the king makers and accord us our due respect. |
KwoiZabo:You insult someone and you expect the person to give you vote. Ode ni e. Just like your first lady PEJ. |
Zuria:No, my sense of humor has not departed me but I fail to see the humor in your failed attempt to call the trash you wrote earlier a joke. Maybe people in your category that laughs at silly/humorless jokes may find it funny. No am not a cyber bully evident in my little above 200 posts since joining the forum in 2013 but I can't say of yours with over 700 posts in just 8months despite being active in only one section. Politics. No again I am not displaying my intelligence, it will naturally show itself but you on the other hand with your attempt to call that trash humorous has displayed where you belong on the intelligence scale. Finally your responses can be used to dissect the kind of person behind your moniker like I just did. So in other to still remain discreet, please stick to your "non response" policy. At least with that, people will have no cause to think you're part of the 21million Nigerians. Cheers mate. |
Demallcrazy:Taaa anybody that left was never here. The other guy that left was a mole, hypocrite. If you're a progressive and you know what you are fighting for, no matter the amount of intimidation will scare you. This doesn't mean I believe the OP's story. |
MightySparrow:The question is not What the religion is seeking to achieve? but What does the west see in the religion recently that threatens them. Recently is bolded cos the religion has being in existence for more than two millenium. Why is it now (past 3 decades) that the religion now suddenly became violent to everyone. Learn about the ultimate goal(agenda) of the illuminati, their allies and their strategies then you will understand that Islam poses as the greatest threat to the attainment of their goal and agenda. It may sound as conspiracy theory but open your mind and you will see them before you. BTW any knowledge gotten from it is not lost. |
TRUTHTELA:I saw through their script also. The same actors then 1985, 1993 are still active but has grown to be directors and producers. |
Zuria:Are you kidding? Comparing people being paid by the government to the people who hustle to make ends meet just because of your biased politics is cheap and dangerous for our nation. The government owns the workers and pays them so he has the right to give holidays as he wishes. FG does not own the marketers only the market. You can imagine the suffering a load carrier (alabaru) in the market would go tru for not working today. Will the FG feed that person. You have to weigh the merits and demerits before comparing. Declaring a public holiday by state affects nobody negatively. The workers can relax and have an off day, the FG workers are not affected, the private sector is not affected everyone is happy. But closing markets, workers (state & FG) can't buy things, market men and women can't feed etc. Its a violation of their fundamental human rights. |
When will people stop |
menix:Awumen o |
Segeggs:It was said that the armed robbers came through he water ways and the security of our water ways was contracted to the militants by this same GEJ. |
EroticAngelina:Anytime he makes a flirtatious comment, frown face and do not reply. If he presses you for a reply give him a non encouraging one devoid of insult. On the hugging part. Do you even have to be so close to your boyfriends father for him to be able to hug you. If he requests for one then turn your side to him. Also put your hand on ur a$$ before he reaches there to squeeze. Lastly avoid him like a plague. But wait o. Where does your bf always go to that you, are always alone with his dad. |
kimond101:Well that's what you get when a president decides to contract security of our water ways to militants. |
