I don't operate under the primordial village mentality and adage you propagate. I don't care if you elect a rat or monkey as governor of Lagos state. Lagos is a land for ANYONE that has money to buy land! All these alaye and omo n'oba touts that lay claim to Lagos, how much land/property do they own in Lagos? How much tax do they pay to run Lagos state government? They live in the 18th century, while life passes them by. The Igbo man came to Lagos, Saw and Conquered! Now they own more than half of Lagos, which is why they can win Federal elections in Lagos. The so-called Lagosians are now working as houseboy, gateman, driver, sales girl/boy, cleaner, cook etc. for the Igbo man, so maybe the Yoruba's should get on their collective knees and thank/worship the Igbos.
I will just answer u with one Yoruba Adaje

"Oko ki je ti baba ti omo ko ma ni aala"

It will be better if you go to your village and pack all of them to come and vote for JK but I will tell you this. JK will still loose and you and your people should be ready for the future consequence of going against the owners of the land.

It is clear that all Igbo groups did not originate from the same source. The Nri origin of Igboland applies mostly in Anambra state and few descendant communitites in Enugu (i.e Nsukka, Enugwu-Ezike etc) and Delta Igbo (Igbuzo, etc). Imo/Abia people would tell you they did not descend from Nri via Eri but from some where else. If actual DNA tests would be carried out to establish any ancestral connections, no matter how distant they may be, they will be first conducted on Nri males - men from the Nri clan of Anambra state as men pass their Y-chromosome (the male determining chromosome) from father to son to grandson unaltered. Hence the Y-DNA sample of any male picked at random, when tested, would contain an almost preserved copy of his original male ancestor passed down to him from grandfather to father to him unaltered over the years.

The legendary Eri group who settled in Nri may have been an originally Hebrew group that wandered away from Egypt during the time of Hebrew presence in Egypt, when the Hebrews were still originally black, further south and settled in the current Anambra area, where they came in contact with an already existing Igbo-speaking group and over time integrated with the larger community. However, they may have brought with them evidence of their years of stay in Egypt such as Hebrew traditions, Egyptian-like pottery and sculpting i.e. Igbo-ukwu crafts, Igbo Pyramids of Udi which are strikingly similar to the steppe pyramids of egypt - all of which they left behind in Nri and environs and being mnemonics of their time in Egypt. The kingdom of Nri was the Igbo group known to produce priests, who were won't to visit other Igbo areas performing religious rites, similar to the religious roles of the Levite tribe of Israel (the tribe that produced the priests of Israel).

I am not saying Igbos hould claim Jews. It reeks of inferiority. However, there is some possibility that there might be some ancestral connection between ancient hebrews and ancient Igbo of Nri axis. Notice my usage of 'hebrews' and not 'jews'. Modern so-called Jews are not the original hebrews, they are mainly kazahstanis who converted to Judaism in the 12th century. The original hebrews were a black people, as the bible confirms it. Also, science confirms that the first people on earth were blacks, from which other races were born. The bible says that Adam was the first man on earth. He could not have been white since the white gene, which is recessive cannot produce any other race apart from white. However, only 2 black people will come together and produce offsprings that look like other different races. If Adam was so-called white, at what point in the history of man did black people come by? Or are we inferring here that whites are the first people on earth, who gave birth to the black race??

The ancestral connection between Igbos and ancient hebrews isn't inferiority, however it might prove that Igbo are the original form of the Hebrews, before the hebrews mixed up with the persians, etc and lightened over the years.
Can someone please sponsor the DNA so that we can ship the confirmed ones back to their place of Origin.

We are too much in this country kwa.

Lagos should get no less than 500bn as we are carrying the dead weight of other states who refuse to do anything except chop money, while their people run to Lagos en mass looking for opportunity. More money must be allocated to Lagos from the other states till they get themselves right. No more slave work for Lagos. Plus we deserve 10-20% of whatever our ports bring in. That should be our own derivation
CHM11:
Lagos is the second to Last of the Losers. Rivers, Delta, Bayelsa, Akwaibom and even cross Rivers lose more than Lagos. Only Edo state in the South south that is not losing higher than Lagos in terms of what you contribute to federal government purse to what you receive difference.

Internally generated revenue in Lagos stays in Lagos and I think Lagos pays tax to the federal government while the revenue generated from oil wells in the south south belongs to the federal government.
and yet some people want us to believe Lagos state is not working.

Politics › Buhari Lauds Jailed Monarch, Others For Forgiving Him by jomoh(op): 6:37am On Apr 06, 2015
President-Elect, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), on Sunday,  commended  the forgiving spirit of the Emir of Borgu, Dr Halliru Dantoro, and other government  officials, who were detained while they were under investigation by the military administration he led between December, 1983 and August, 1985.

Buhari, in a statement by the Media Director of his campaign organisation,  Mr. Garba Shehu, said the Emir and other government leaders never held the incident against him.

He said they rather had gone to establish very strong and cherished personal relationship with him.

The President-Elect  said as Commander-in-Chief in a military dispensation, responsibility for all actions of government belonged to him even where he did not direct government action in that regard but that as leader, he had accepted such responsibility.

He recalled a list of other names of obvious cases including Adamu Ciroma, a former Minister of Finance and Agriculture.

Buhari said he accepted the goodwill of all such past leaders, who did not hold him personally responsible for the actions of the military government and promised the nation that as an elected president, he would ensure equity, fairness and justice for all.

He commended the Emir and his people for enduring the seven-hour journey from Borgu to Abuja to congratulate him.

Buhari used the occasion to once again felicitate with Nigerians on the occasion of the Easter.

The Emir  said Buhari’s second coming was divine, meant to redeem and reunite the nation.

He pledged the total support of his people to the success of the the in-coming administration.

Politics › Harass Civilians, Prepare For Retirement, Amaechi Tells Police by jomoh(op):
The Rivers State Governor and the Director-General of the Buhari Campaign Organisation, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, has said with the emergence of Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) as the President-elect, there will be no police brutality and molestation in the state.

Amaechi, who called on the people of the state to vote the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Dr. Dakuku Peterside, in the April 11, 2015, election, assured voters that any police that harassed them would be punished.

Speaking during a ward-to-ward campaign in Emohua and Ikwerre Local Government Areas on Saturday, the governor urged the electorate not to be afraid to come out and vote.

“Next week Saturday, I expect everybody to come out and vote. There will be no police molestation again. There will be no Army harassment again. Any police that molests you must be preparing to retire and this time, it will not be retirement, it will be punishment for retirement. So, come out to vote. We are looking for you to come out to vote.

“The reason why I am running from ward to ward is to encourage you to come out because after what the police and the Army did last time, everybody will be afraid to come out. Saturday, we should all come out to vote and as your governor, I urge you to vote for APC,” he said.

Amaechi emphasised that his administration would set up a commission of enquiry to look into election-related deaths in the state during the March 28, 2015 presidential election, adding that those found guilty would be punished according to the law.

He said, “We have agreed to set up a commission of enquiry to investigate all the killings so far. So, all those people who killed, we shall punish them. Whether they like it or not, they must account for everybody they killed.

“For the police, we believe that by now, they must have learnt their lesson. We believe that by now, they must have known that they were politicians and not Nigerian police. This Saturday, we expect them to be Nigerian police and not Nigerian politicians.”
