First bro, it is good that you be sure before ascribing statements to individuals as you blindly did here eg Wole Soyinka never said those...

On the other part of this epistle of yours; be sure you didn't even comprehend barcanista's response to egift...In that No 4; he was emphasizing a compromised buhari who seem to have lost touch with all he stood for in the past...go back and read it again bro...

Cheers for your responses. No need going back and forth so I will let it be, though you made a lot of flawed conclusion and I disagree with you on not running a one-man show, having more stakeholders in his campaign, expanding his campaign to penetrate all the Geopolitical regions in Nigeria, entertaining and considerate to diverse opinion on issues - these an others are very positive evolutions that will work well for Buhari as leading in a Democratic Settings.

Also I have observed as you stated, when you were in APC you promoted the Positives of Buhari and more of Jonathan's failures. Now you are in PDP, you promote more of PDP and and attack APC for any imaginable flaw you observe. Also I noticed that you turn a blind eye to Buhari area of strength when it is attacked or miss-represented - though I think it is expected considering your new affiliation.

Finally, it is irresistible of my itchy fingers to ask this (don't take it badly, it is just on a lighter note. It always get me smiling):
I hope those that were threatening you for supporting Buhari have backed out? And that you no longer need Protection?

Cheers! Do have a lovely day.
Thank you egift for the bolded.

Simply put, only a fool will be doing the same thing all the time and expect a different result. GMB realised this and readjusted. Now they have a problem with him for doing so.

When GMB started his campaign with APC barcanista was a strong supporter despite the party having the likes of Tinubu, Amaechi and the rest. He never saw them as being corrupt. But all of a sudden he claimed to have defected.

At first because he claimed he was being threatened by APC people online (whoever believed that anyway).

Later he claimed it was because he discovered people backing GMB were corrupt.

Now he combines the earlier two with another one that they are liars and hypocrites.

My question is this does it mean he was a liar and an hypocrite when he was with APC too.

Finally, I dont care if you prefer GEJ, GMB or the KOWA party woman. Its democracy everyone has the right to choose but it is better for people not to justify their choice than to do so with a spurious claim. It gives room for doubt.

Well simply put, the Buhari of the past was said to be too rigid to govern a democratic government. Hence he was named a DICTATOR that can never change--AIT/NTA.

Now the Buhari of the past has presented himself as a reformed Democrat willing to negotiate as democrats do. Yet some people are still unhappy.

Well the amiable Gen. said it before. "If you don't like me, you're free to join the other party or the mushroom parties and vote against me"---Watch it on AIT/NTA.

The man knows his worth and credentials he's not begging for your votes. If you believe he's got it vote for him and if you think he's not got it vote against him. That's why they call it democracy.

To get to the top in a corrupt environment, you have no choice but to whine and dine with the Devil. GEJ did same with innocent mien of "goodluck" and we all gullibly supported him because he was relatively unknown but his kinsmen from Bayelsa were the first to kick against him cos they knew better. He proved to be a greater DEVIL to the extent that almost all the known devils in the country deserted him for the General. Sule Lamido described him as "a madman with a cigarette lighter in a filling station". Even one of the greatest DEVILs in the history of this great nation declared himself a saint compared to him.

This time around, its a different ball game entirely. Unlike the unknown angel who turned out to be a great DEVIL, GMB is well known (to some people as a devil) to most people and we know what he's capable of doing to the devils surrounding him. We believe him to be a white pap that will come out of a black pot.

Once again its democracy everyone should have the freedom to choose. All we ask for from GEJ (if we are to go by his personal description of being a democrat) is to give us the freedom to choose and decide who leads us from May 29.

The most sensible message ever from sahara reporters.

I keep saying this.

Nairaland has 1million users
less than half are active
nigeria has 140million people
less than 1percent of nigerians are in nairaland.
So nairaland isnt a true reflection of who wins april election.
Do you know what they call sample Population in statistics.

Nairaland and any social media is a mini Nigeria with a bias towards GEJ cos the large number of people on social media are from SW,SE and SS the little from the north are mostly the educated Christians and a few muslims.

Large percentage of GMB supporters are majorly the Northerners with little or no knowledge if the internet. Is it the mai shayis, kiosk mallams and all these Ab0k! Okada riders that you want to tell me own a facebook account.

For GEJ on the other hand, even a typical Igbo man inside Ladipo spare parts market has at least a facebook page.

Still with this bias, GMB is still thumping GEJ. Wake up.

Whatever he says is ok by them as long as

1. They're not affected by the bomb being thrown by BH cos they don't live in the northeast

2. They have regular electricity in their villages cos they are the importers of fuel.

3. Non of them was killed in the immigration job scam cos they do their own biz. Them no dey do gov work.

4. The people that stole our commonwealth are hustlers (na biznez na).

But one thing I will love the president to answer is that

What was his response when OBJ asked him why his govt is not taking action to curb the BH menace in the North?

I won't give the answer so some people won't come here to crusify me.

Any reasonable Nigerian not blinded by religion or ethnicity that is able to get what he said will understand why most people will never want GEJ as nigerian president again.

OBJ asked him the same question in the presence of Pastor E. A. Adeboye at Otta but he refused to answer cos the answer he gave OBJ before that time, was so demonic and unfitting of a sitting president of any Nation.

Since the presidency has denied giving Obanikoro authority to give orders to a military officer or anyone at that therefore what Obanikoro did amounted to treason and he should have been prosecuted for it an jailed for using the name of the president but the president will not do so.

My friend stop spewing these fatuous untruths. I would be the first to state that GEJ is an inept buffoon but claiming that "he refused to save" is a lie too far. Inspite of his ineptitude, economic and agricultural policies are 2 areas where I give him some credit, or rather NOI and Adesina.

Please see the article I posted earlier - when you say he "refused" to save, refused whose requests for savings? Is it the opposition who were playing to popular opinion by demanding that we stopped saving or the Nigerian public who believe that oil is manna from heaven that must be spent immediately on wage increases and subsidy?
Just exactly like your paymaster the ever clueless ebele jonathan, you've been able to show that you too is as clueless as he is.

Please tell me what has the so called "economic strides" and "agriculture" done to defend the Naira?

Economics of a nation is about balancing everything not going to the extreme on one side and neglecting the other.

We are talking about your failure to save that has affected your family's(country's) economy you're talking about how you've been able to establish more businesses and send your children to private schools. If you're not careful the situation will force you to close down the biz and withdraw your kids from schools totally taking you back to square one.

So because your wife or your enemy (whichever) is claiming to you that saving for "rainy dayz" is unnecessary means you should now follow their advice. Then it shows you're very incompetent to lead. So it is now the fault of the opposition that he did not save for the dry season.

Mr man just examine the rubbish you just posted. Does it portray you as a responsible man that can be given a leadership role? Yet you still have the gut to come up here and give that as an excuse.

If such happens in your family, will you tell your wife and children that its your enemy that pestered you not to save. A man, a real man, a responsible man, who knows what he's doing will be able to stand by and defend whatever decision he's made and not make excuses like you're doing. Let Jonathan defend his decision not to save and stop making baseless excuses for him.

With this you're a disgrace to "men" all over the world.

SMH for you life.

I am not pro GEJ but if we have to be dispassionate, is it GEJ's fault that the price of oil has plummeted and continued heading south for an indeterminate period? Answer this question frankly. I always bow to superior argument, trust me.
I like your willingness to learn. Though the question was not directed to me and I don't know if anyone has replied you but I will still go ahead for others too to learn.

Though it was not his fault the price of oil fell but before the oil price fell, there was oil boom and Nigeria and other oil producing countries were making o whole lot of money.

Naturally when you're making a lot of money as a business man, you're supposed to save part of what you're making because of a time when you won't be making much. During the world economic melt down, Nigeria was not affected because we had(saved) enough money in our foreign reserve to cover for it.

Nigeria had the rainy days but the GEJ administration refused to save. Instead they spent the savings Nigeria had despite having 2 saving accounts viz the Excess Crude Account (ECA) and the foreign reserve.

The effect of foreign reserve on the naira:

When price of crude oil fell, the crude oil in the market were so much that buying countries can choose to buy from other countries. They take their money (Dollars as international currency)to other countries thereby making Dollars to be very scarce in our economy. The lower the quantity supplied, the higher the price. So companies that buy foreign goods in dollars can't get dollars to buy their products and if they get its always for the highest bidder.

If GEJ had saved for this time he would have just given the Min. of Finance and Central Bank gov. order to release the dollars in the reserves and the ECA to augment for the scarce ones in the economy. There wouldn't have been anything like scarce Dollars or fall in Naira.

Hope you've been able to grab how it is GEJ's fault.

Its funny how our brothers from the east underestimate the level of exposeure and intelligence of the Yoruba nation and its people.

In my home town Ibadan there's a saying that:

"Ibadan lo mo, o month laipo".

Meaning you only know Ibadan you don't know Laipo.

Another one is that "bo ri oju mi, o ri inu mi" or

Tranquill:
You are wrong bro. You should read Obasanjo's statement very well. Buhari's was admitted 4 years after Obasanjo and I think Tarfa was same time or few years after Buhari.

The Military said they only have a recommendation letter from Buhari's principal that says he believes that HE WILL PASS HIS WASC and Buhari is yet to refute this.

It should not be forgotten because it has to do with rules and the law which are the main essence of democracy especially if we desire for a better society where no one is above the law.
Read my comment again brother.

I didn't say obasanjo got it wrong. I said he was clear with his assertion that certificates was a criteria used by the military.

"You think tarfa was same time or few years after buhari". You are not sure yourself of Tarfa's drafting period. I don't know the Tarfa guy but the use of the word "Nigerian-nising" shows this guy must've being before OBJ. Remember there were the likes of Muritala, Yakubu Gowon before OBJ.

So tell me clearly where you think am wrong.

On the issue of forgetting. You're right that we should scrutinize our aspiring leaders but the people fighting the case in court knows its a lost cause. Even if some people see GMB has illiterate do you think he wouldn't have seek extensive legal advises before doing what he did or do you think he doesn't know what he was saying that those against him should go to court and remain there. The man knows what he's done/doing and he won't be distracted by the certificate issue. Remember he has a lot of lawyers on his party and his running mate is a constitutional professor of law. A constitutional lawyer.

"The Military said". My brother, we might have a differing opinion but you will agree with me that this present Military has been corrupted to suit the PDP purpose. The case of Ekiti election audio is still fresh in mind, so anything coming from the military cannot be totally trusted. Also if you remember, he said his credentials were carted away by the military during the coup. Meaning there couldn't have been a record of submission of the certificate therefore it was easy for a corrupted military to deny its existence in their custody. The overall meaning of "his credentials being with the Military" is just to save the image of the military of which he belonged to instead of accusing the military of stealing his documents.

The man has submitted his affidavit which is a legally acceptable document. Until the affidavit is rendered null and void by a court of law, the man is still legally qualified.

General Paul Tarfa said
"In those days when Nigeria was Nigerianising its military, many of the officers that you seetoday did not even have their school certificates until long after.

“When we were invited to go to Kaduna, we were given qualifying examination in English, Mathematics and General Knowledge, even before we took the school certificate exam. Some did not even wait to take their school certificates because vacancies were already waiting for them.

“It was after that qualifying exam that we were recruited into the army. By the time some had their school certificates, they had become officers.

“For example, Gen. Babangida never saw his school certificate until when he was head of state. I got my school certificate long after I became an officer".

http://thenationonlineng.net/new/buhari-ordered-dismiss-48-errant-cadets-nda-32-muslims-gen-paul-tarfa/

General Olusegun Obasanjo
"When I joined the Army in the 1950s, I needed to have a Cambridge certificate or West African School Certificate or GCE with a minimum of six subjects to be able to join the military at the time.

“I don’t know of anybody who was an officer at that time that did not have similar certificates.

“Buhari joined the Army about four years after me and if I needed such a certificate to be admitted into the Army, I don’t know how he could have avoided it"

 http://www.punchng.com/news/obasanjo-backs-buhari-over-certificate/

So who among them is lying to Nigerians?
Logically you can't categorically say either of them is lying cos the data provided is not sufficient enough to pass any judgement. Knowing the time period the two of them were referring to would go a long way in determining the authenticity of their statements.

On the other hand if critically examined one can say the two of them were saying the truth.

Paul Tarfa I believe was referring to an earlier time period than OBJ going by the word "Nigeria-nizing". Its a time when the Colonial Masters were freshly drafting Nigerians into the military. This is a pre-Obj era. The man was maybe using his own time to judge so you can hardly fault the man.

OBJ: Obj was spot on. He didn't mince his words on Buhari's certificate. It was a compulsory requirement during and after his time and till date.

The question is were they required by the military then to submit their original credentials before joining the military? But the answer is No.

GMB already said his certificates were carted away by the military during the 1985 coup. Meaning he had it before then and must've used it to enter the military but presently he doesn't know its whereabouts(its lost). He has sworn an affidavit to it being with the military.

To think of it, shouldn't we have forgotten this certificate issue by now cos the constitution never mandate the possession of certificate as a criteria for contesting.

All we get are bombardment with silly text messages. The video the OP posted shows Mr Omisore confirming the authenticity of the ekitigate audio tape.
