Sometimes when a man considers the terrible experiences he had in the past, he tends towards having a troubled and restless heart. The pressure on him will be much most especially when others seem to be making progress and the whole thing looks as if he is under a spell and every effort put in place seems not to work out.

Do not let your heart be troubled nor fret yourself over your disappointments in life. Find strength in the Lord and be at peace even as you believe God to fulfil His promises for your life. A heart at peace prepares a life for fulfilment in every facet of life. Do not give room to envy, the plan of the Lord over your life is great; He can do beyond your imagination. Rest in His grace and wait for His salvation.

In this life, you will not but be faced with various challenging issues which appear to be above your age and experience. Do not consider it strange when it seems as if you cannot move on in life at your desired pace. Life is characterized by several uncertainties and hurdles, you must get set and brace up for they will be many as long as you are a living soul.

When it seems as if a mountain is standing before you; God is given you a special responsibility of moving it. In our text, Goliath continued to show himself endlessly until He was confronted by David. The Israelites were under severe pressure for good 40 days until the manifestation of David.

You have to do something under God about everything that is depriving you of your joy, peace, blessings, fulfilment in every facet of life. The solution to your problems will only show forth if you through the help of God confront them.

Lord! I receive the grace to confront and subdue every issue confronting my life in destiny in Jesus name. Amen!

There is no basis for any man to be jealous of other men who appear to be having progress in every or certain aspect of life. If you truly believe in God, you must have faith in His precious plan for your life and the fulfilment of His promises for you.

Your life is your life and you are created to fulfil a definite purpose; therefore, you are not in competition with anyone in destiny. One of those things which signify that you know God and trust in Him is that you will patiently wait upon Him to perfect that which concerns you.

Those wonderful things you are seeing God do in the life of others should serve as a motivation for you to trust Him more because He is still in the business of blessing men in different ways and dimensions. Your blessings and miracle are in sight; when it happens it will be among the latest. Be happy with the goodness of the Lord in the lives of men and hope for the best in your life.

If there is anything both God and the devil is seeking to have in your life is your soul. Hence, the devil will not but entice men with jobs, husband, wife, money and various material possession of life. That is why several men couldn't get what they have without bowing to the devil.

Jesus is said, "there is nothing you have in this life that worth your soul." This is because everything around you returns to the dust and there is no position you attain in life that will not finish. The Lord in his teachings made it clear to us the risk He will take as a good shepherd to seek to find a lost soul (Luke 15:4-7). Your soul is very precious; you must not let the devil have it. Submit yourself to God and let Him live His life in you.

Lord! I receive the grace to submit myself to you; help me never to trade my soul with anything in Jesus name. Amen!!!

The plan of God for you is that you should be prosperous in every facet of life. Cumulative success in various aspects of life is what makes a man prosperous. The case of some men is that they used to prosper but they never come to the point of prosperity. It is not enough that you have done well in certain aspects of life, you must continue to do well consistently until you become prosperous.

Every opposition to your success is tailored against your prosperity. Don't be discouraged irrespective of whatever tries to slow you down, continue to do your best in whatever your hands find to do. If you have done the will of God you must consistently continue in it. To become prosperous in business, health, academics, marriage, ministry, career and spiritually; you must allow God to help you to prosper consistently.

Lord! I receive the grace to prosper and continue to prosper until I will become very prosperous in Jesus name. Amen!!!

The Lord Jesus presented this parable to make it very clear to us that no matter how good the seed planted in the field given to a man, the fact remains that the enemy can as well plant his evil seed at every slightest opportunity when men become lethargic.

Right from the beginning of the world, it is a fact that everything made by God was not just good but very good (Gen1:31). In Matt 13:24, the sower which represents God sowed good seed. Hence, every appearance of evil and evil itself in whatever form is the work of the enemy - the devil.

Whatever you see in your life that appears like an anomaly with respect to good things according to God's plan for your life; is the work of the enemy which must be resisted. Do not be complacent nor be careless about any issue in your life that has an appearance of evil. Seek the intervention of God over it!

+ Is there any tares among the wheat of your life?

Lord! Uproot every tare among the wheat of my life in Jesus name. Amen!!!

There is no limit to what God can do in the life of a man if such will submit himself to bless his world. If the Lord has proven the fact that His blessing will not flow to others through the life of a man; He will not channel His blessing through such a life. Each time the Lord is set to meet the needs of men He sends other men to meet such needs.

Do not hesitate to be an extended hand of the almighty reaching out to others in the time of their needs. Allow God to always use you to answer the secret prayers of men in the time of need. The reason why God will make all grace abound towards a man, so that he will always have all sufficiency in all things, and that he may have an abundance for every good work is that His resource flow through him.

Each time you find yourself falling in sin or get trapped in wrongdoing; it is not for you to continue in it but to repent from it. Humility demands that you acknowledge your sin and turn from doing it. God will only wipe out your sins if you truly repent.

Do not postpone the day of repentance to the future; it is a wonderful privilege to know that something is not right about your deeds. The refreshment your soul required for a successful walk with God on earth will only happen if you repent from your evil ways. Stop making excuses for committing sins; repentance is what God requires. Until you repent the work of the cross is in vain in your life.

The ultimate desire of God for His people is that they should absolutely put their trust in Him in all situations. Sometimes, we find ourselves in a tight corner of various needs with no hope of provision insight; but God in his infinite mercy has over time proven to be the present help in the time of needs.

As humans, we always want to see wind and rain to be rest assured that the valley will be filled with water for adequate provision. The absence of visible wind or rain is the reason why many people refuse to take the required steps into their glorious destiny with respect to their career, marriage, business, ministry etc despite the instruction through the word of God to them.

A man of faith does not embark on something because it appears promising but because the Lord said it. Do not hesitate to take the required step in the direction of God's will for you irrespective of the resource at your disposal. Observing the wind will only hinder you to sow and also prevent divine assistance.

+ Do you live by sight or faith?

Lord! Help me to always live by faith and in the reality of your provision in Jesus name. Amen

All men created by God no matter how wonderful they appear to be are powerless. The wonders and power we see in the lives of men were products of God's grace and mercy. When the angel struck king Herod, he was eaten by worms almost immediately. People who hailed him were ignorant of the fact that it was the grace of God that make Him who he was.

Who is Moses before Pharaoh? Who is Daniel before the Lions in Lion's den? What can the three Hebrews do before the fiery furnace? Who is David before Goliath? The feats these men achieved was possible because God is having their back and carried them on the lift of divine grace.

When God is removed in the affairs of a man's life then there is nothing left. You must keep asking for grace and always seek to be helped by God in everything. You must be humble enough to acknowledge Him in all you do.

Lord! Don't let your mercy cease in my life; continue to have my back in every situation of life in Jesus name. Amen

Every man has the right to joy and happiness. However, to act contrary to the will of God for any reason puts a man in jeopardy, and deprives him of the life God wants to give him. The fact that God did not force His will on us does not change the fact that He wants us to do His will and have the life He wants to give us.

When your heart is not regenerated to submit to God's will you must not follow your heart. The issues that King Solomon faced in his pilgrimage in his quest for enjoyment was because he followed his heart. The fact that you have the power to choose your food, wife, career, friends and lifestyle does not change the fact that the way of the Lord is the way of wisdom.

The expected end your heart desire will only be possible in following God's will for your life. Let the will of God rule your heart.

One of the mysteries of life is that there is no permanent condition. Life can take a different turn at any point in time. Those who are young today will be old tomorrow. Those who have power, strength, authority today will not have such as time goes on. Those who are rich today may be poor tomorrow.

There will always be some mysteries that life will unfold with time. When life appears so good to you be mindful of the fact that it is not so with everyone and the fact that if it is good today doesn't mean it will always be. You must keep asking for grace in every situation you find yourself in. Honour God in the lives of men no matter how small they appear to be. Always take the path of honour by doing the will of God.

Experiences through the various challenging situation of life teach a man the real and accurate value of life. What determines your approach and methodology to various issues of life is what you have passed through. Life challenges are meant to shape our lives into the desired purpose of God.

The Lord took the Israelites through the wilderness just to let them know that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD (Deut 8:3). This was done to give them a life that has a relationship with God.

Your motives and sense of judgement will not be correct if every issue of your life and desire falls exactly the way you expected it. Life over time has taught us that you cannot always have your way and get what you want in the exact way you think. This principle does not exempt anyone; Jesus Christ also conformed to it, serving as an example to us.

+ What have you learnt from your experiences in life?

You will only find strength in God to fulfil your purpose if you wait upon God. The best of the life the Lord wants to give a man may never be possible if he does not know how to wait upon the Lord.

Waiting is a way of life and a way to buildup the required strength for every blessing of life. Don't settle for less than what God reserved for your life; find grace under God to be patient enough to allow the promises of God for your life to come to maturity.

Humility is the only sure path to greatness in life. When God in His infinite mercy began to crown you with glory and honour in various aspects of life try as much as possible to ascribe it back to Him and remain humble. The nature of man is a type that always feels at the top of the world when grace is made available.

Men are likely to forget who they used to be when the lift of God's grace carry them. Hence, the best thing to do for the man at the top of the world is to lie low and remain humble else such will fall with a great crash. Pharaoh was told about God but he said who is God; he failed to comply until he was humiliated. Goliath spoke proud words to define the armies of the Lord until he was humiliated.

Humiliation awaits all men who have not learnt how to humble themselves by themselves. Grace upon grace will be made available to all men who humble themselves.

+ Have learnt to humble yourself by yourself?

Lord! Help me to always remember that you are the reason for whatever I am and what I will be; help me to be humble always in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Whenever a man remember that what he is is by the virtue of God's grace and mercy, he will always humble himself. Pride comes when a man thinks of himself more highly than he or she ought to. No matter how high the position God might have placed us, we must be mindful of the fact that it is Him who crown men with glory and honour.

Queen Vashti thought it was embarrassing for her to display herself at the request of the King. Pharaoh thought that no one can deliver the Israelites from him. Goliath an uncircumcised Philistines defile the armies of the Lord because he thought no one could defeat him. The end of these men came when they felt they are special and have what looks like an advantage over others.

When it seems as if you have a rising profile among men, humble yourself so that God will continue to carry you. Don't live a life that will make God resist you. In everything, you do always take the path of honour by humbling yourself.

Lord! Help me to always remember that you are the reason for whatever I am and whatever I will be in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Selfishness is the work of the flesh that deprives men of every physical and spiritual blessing either in the short or long term. A nation whose leaders are selfish will not but continue to live in disunity, disintegration and abject poverty!!!

Where there is selfishness, there you will never find sacrifice. A nation whose leaders and people are selfish can never be great nor measure up to God's expectations for her. What do you expect in a nation where what belongs to thousands or millions of its citizens is being taken by few individuals. The so-called infrastructure, policies, laws, constitution put in place by selfish people will do more harm than good with the people at the receiving end.

When we have pastors, lawyers, men of the force, teachers, bankers, politicians, administrators, who are selfish; the citizens and future of such nation will be at the receiving end. The good things we are enjoying today is a result of the sacrifices of the people of yesterday; the sacrifices people fail to make today will have a detrimental effect on a nation both now and in the days to come. Do not be selfish, play your part by giving your best to the benefit of men around you.

Whenever you see the greatness of a man, you must acknowledge and honour it. Greatness will be far from the life of any man who trivializes greatness and fail to honour it!!!

Whatever you desire in life, you must never trivialize. Each time you see a man becoming something you are dreaming of and you desire such grace; such you must honour and acknowledged. Envy is identified each time a man give a reason for a man's greatness to discredit it. No man can become what God did not make him. When a man achieves a feat it is because God allowed it.

Sometimes, it is not necessary to investigate how a man became great. Hence, the greatness you trivialized you cannot become. Always take the path of honour in life. If there is any good thing you want to be in life honour those who have attained it even when it appears they did nothing to deserve it. As you proceed in destiny be mindful of the fact that it is God who crowns men with glory and honour. When you honour great men you are indirectly honouring God.

At this junction, we need to beg God to do for us what we cannot do. We need to pray that God should deliver us from the stronghold of bad leaders, bandits, terrorism and corruption at all levels of human endeavour. The Lord must help us and implant in the heart of every citizen the fear of God.

You must not keep quiet at this point nor be lackadaisical about what is happening in the nation. You will only dwell safely, serve God peacefully, pursue your dreams and fulfil your mandate if and only if there is peace in the land!

The Psalmist examines his life and discovered that he will become old. He also established the fact that at old age his strength will be spent and his power will fail. He now resolved to pray to God for help in his old age. Hence, I want to remind you that you will become old.

Your friends, certificates, ideology, body, wife and everything about you will become old. You will be relieved of your duties to give room for the younger generation. I have seen men who travelled far and wide to achieve the great feat in life but later retired home only to sit and watch what happens in the neighbourhood as well as reading books, the bible and newspapers.

The attitude of the old men around you is your anticipated attitude; the question they are asking will become your questions. In the manner you see people leaving the various scene of life so also you will. It will soon become your experience if you also find grace from God. Now that you have strength in various aspects of life make the best use of your opportunities. Use your strength to make an impact in the sand of time.

There is a reward for everything a man does in life. Sometimes serving God can appear to be burdensome, unreasonable and not promising. Those who saw Abraham left his familiar ground at 75 years old will consider him a man who is not reasonable but He possesses God and became the father of many nations.

God over time has proven the fact that it pays to serve and live for Him. When Ruth decided to go to the land of Israel with Naomi, no one gave her a chance of becoming something because the situation appeared hopeless. She continued to serve God and her mother in law expecting nothing but God who places a watch on her gave her hope and a future.

Don't be weary in serving God. There is a payback time. A time is coming when God will consider your selfless service and reward you. Don't eat your seed nor neglect the opportunity to serve selflessly. Live your life with the orientation that there is no other price to pay for greatness than selfless service.

As you strive to carve a name of honour in various books of life, be mindful of the fact that in this life all achievements will eventually be surpassed. Records will be broken, reputations will fade and tributes will be forgotten. Living to create an earthly legacy is a short-sighted goal.

Ultimately, what matters as your fleeting years go by is what God says about you in His book. Live your life to please God alone and you will not be disappointed in His presence on the last day.

In the evaluation of the life of David, a man after God's heart the issues of Uriah the Hittite whom he killed will not but always come up. Sin breeds bad history; which does not forgive. Sin is a reproach that mars the destiny of a man. Be careful not to destroy the work of God through you and the good legacy you've instituted over the years by yielding yourself to the sinful nature. A man does to himself a great evil each time he yields himself to the works of the flesh.

Spiritual growth is a measure of the heart of wisdom a man has gained. A ministry is only effective if such will is helping men to gain the heart of wisdom. The ultimate desire of God in the life of a man is that he should gain the heart of wisdom as he proceeds and increase in destiny.

As a parent, you have not succeeded as far as parenting is concern until your children have gained the heart of wisdom to walk in the way of the Lord. Jacob had 12 sons but Joseph among others gained the heart of wisdom before he was sold into Egypt; this wisdom helped him to overcome temptation even when his parent and people who knew him were not there.

The heart of wisdom gained through the word of God also helped Daniel to possess a purpose of heart; this also preserved him from defilement. Gehazi was a man full of spiritual activities but without the heart of wisdom. Until you have gained the heart of wisdom; your labour in God's service is in vain.

Life is what happens to men while they were thinking of something else; it is characterized by several uncertainties. The wisdom we must have in every situation is that only God is powerful and eternal. Everything revolves around Him. He is the beginning and the end, and He rules in all affairs of men. There is nothing a man can do or achieve without Him.

There is a huge difference between what you experience and what you were told. Deep understanding of God's personality will not be known adequately but just reading the write pages of the scripture. John spoke the way he did because He was with Jesus and experienced all that was written about Him; He had discipleship relationship with Him. You cannot speak adequately about the power of God and what He can do until you experience it.

The action point of the word of God in the life of a man is that it should become life. When Goliath threatened the Children of Israel, they were afraid and couldn't challenge him for 40 days because they saw his as an undefeatable giant but only David saw the fact that he was an uncircumcised Philistines who can be defeated. This is due to the fact that He has experienced God's victory over lion and beer in the secret.

Daniel also saw the king's meat as instrument of defilement while others saw otherwise. It is only men who experienced God that can see life the way God sees it and act according to His precepts. The assurance that your faith will not fail is in the fact that you must know God by experience.

The package a man received through salvation in Christ Jesus is a complete one. It is not only limited to having the grace to live a holy and righteous life but also to meet all physical needs. If you have God you have everything. However, at every junction of your life, the word of the Lord must be revealed to you if you must enter His precious plans for your life.

Whatever you will become in life be it in academics, marriage, career, ministry and business; the word of God must come to you. Your fulfilment under God is a matter of the word of God that came to pass in your life.

When God was planning to make Abraham great, He spoke to him. For Jesus Christ to be what God wanted Him to be, He received it through the word of God. For the virgin Mary to conceive and bring forth the Savior of the world and for Sarah to conceive in her old age and to receive what God had promised, God had to speak His word to them.

No one can become what God wants him to be without paying close attention to the written word of God. Progressive knowledge of the Lord and His word is what will make you fit to handle your divine inheritance.

Have you been sick before and the doctor failed to respond on time despite the pain you suffered? Most of the time the health practitioners appear to be careless but in the actual sense, they are not. The issue is that when a man becomes sick he is regarded as a patient just because he needs systematic care to be who he used to be.

There is God's timing in every affair that has to do with man. The coming of the Lord is not limited to the end of age alone but also every area of life where divine intervention is needed.

There are several patients in the prison yard. They lost their freedom on the account of some life's circumstances, crime and fraudulent activities. They neither consider the principles of God nor wait on Him to bless them in the right way.

Some men entered into a wrong relationship/marriage because they couldn't patiently wait upon God. Some young people have successfully destroyed the chance of getting a suitable suitor as a result of the consequence of prostitution, pre-marital sex like abortion, STDs etc.

Some people have lost some parts of their body if not their lives on the account of over-speeding and couldn't get to the intended destination they were rushing to.

No matter how fast you think you can run; you cannot outrun your creator. Patiently wait upon Him even as you follow Him in His principle in various affairs of your life.

+ Are you patient?

Lord! I receive the grace to patiently wait for your salvation in every facet of life in Jesus name. Amen!

The purpose of the existence of man is to run the race of life. Several men ran this race and make an indelible mark in the sand of time. The records of their experiences; what they lived for, their mistakes and successes, and how they ended their journey was not hidden from us. Many of these men fulfilled their purpose and mandate.

You are also in the race of life. Whatever happens to you is typical to men who have run this race before you. As you proceed in destiny be mindful of the fact that life is given to prepare for eternity. Hence, let us strip off everything we attach ourselves to and those things we seek which tends to slow us down.

We must repent from all sins hindering our spiritual growth. We must identify the purpose of our existence and live to fulfil it. Irrespective of whatever our lot might have appeared to be in destiny, let us live by faith and run with endurance the race that God has set before us.

The reality of life is that: Like water spilt on the ground, which cannot be recovered, so we must die (2 Sam 14:14a). In various troubles, man will not but experience in his pilgrimage, don't forget the fact that life is short. You must not allow anything to hinder you from doing what God wants you to do. Avoid procrastination and enjoy every bit of your existence; living by faith.

Life will always give every man the opportunity to choose either life or death. What your life turned out to be is a product of various choices you make or the one made for you. The choice you are making now will determine what your future will be. The way we live daily is a game of choice.

When you examine the game of Football you will observe that it has rules. It has a start and ends at a predefined time and also makes a provision for extra time when the situation demands it. It is also characterized by offensive and defensive moments. Setbacks can occur at any time but things can turn around before the final whistle. The winner is declared at the end. This applies to life to some reasonable degree.

There are rules for a successful walk with God, healthy living, success in business, career, ministry and academics, blissful marital experience etc. No matter great the plan of God is for you, the fact remains that you will not win in these areas until you find grace to live and play according to the rules. However, you must never gamble with your life; allow God to lead you through the journey of destiny.
