Don't invest your life, precious time and resources into the ministry of criticism. Examine your life and allow God to judge everyone according to their deeds!!!

Everything you see men doing is a prototype of what you can also do; rather than criticizing, examine yourself to see if you are doing the same thing in a different dimension. Explore your strength in removing every speck in your eyes.

Let the speck in the eyes of men remind you always of the need to repent from the shortcomings in your life. The best you can do in this end-time; is to stand like Joseph, David and Daniel of our time.

Don't be eaten up by what others are doing. The dimension of your judgement towards others will also set a benchmark to your own life for judgement. Don't be too quick to criticize men based on their appearance either in words or in deeds. At best, discuss with them and pray for them even as you commit your life to God in that respect!

+ Is your eyes free from specks?

Lord! I receive the grace to place much priority on important issues of my spiritual life in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Emphasis:
Every man will meet God and face Judgement. There are pressing issues that require much attention in your life than engaging in the ministry of criticism!!!

It takes great faith to know that the Lord is good at all times in every situation of life!!!

As you move on in life there is one important thing you must always have at the back of your mind about the Almighty God: His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever.

He is a wonderful God who reveals His personality through both the good and bad experiences of life. Most of the experiences we have are born out of His mercy over our lives no matter how terrible they appear to be.

We know Him as a great provider because when in need He provides for us. As a mighty healer because He healed us from our sickness. As the Lord who is mighty in battle because He gave us victory over all challenges of life. As a miracle worker because we see Him always by our side when all hope is lost.

How can we know beyond the written pages of the scripture without various experience of life? Therefore, by experience not by what we were told or read in the scripture that the Lord is good and His mercy endures forever.

+ With respect to everything around you; Have you come to know that God is good at all times?

Lord! I give thanks to you because you are good and your mercies endure forever in my life in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Emphasis:
Irrespective of whatever you feel about life the fact remains that He is Good and His mercies endure forever!!!

God did not promise anyone tomorrow. He is the only one who holds tomorrow and determines who will see tomorrow. That is why the Lord admonished us not to worry about tomorrow. Hence, if we should not worry about tomorrow we must cherish the gift of life by making the best use of the moment under control.

We must live our life daily having the orientation that life is a temporary assignment. Several men who had plans for days to come were not given the grace to see this day. Some who were building houses did not live to live in it. Treat every moment you have as your last opportunity and acknowledge God in all your ways.

Take some time and think about your life. Think about those who are travelling on a business trip but never get to their destination. At all times don't forget that life is given to
prepare for eternity.

The primary need of a man is what he will eat, drink and put on as a cloth. Every other thing is secondary to our existence. In the actual sense, what you don't have that is not a threat to your wellbeing has not become a need. However, the Lord is so gracious in that He is known to meet the needs of men at the appropriate time.

If God gives you life there is no limit to what he can give you. The hope every man has about the glorious future God promised is in the fact that we are a living soul. Hence, life is very much more important than whatever you think you need. Neither destroy your life, sin against God nor fret yourself because of what you think you need. What some people think they need is actually what can destroy their life. If there be anything your earnestly desire, wait upon the Lord; and live with the orientation that He can meet your needs.

+ Have God at any time met your needs?

Lord! Meet my needs as you always do in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Main Emphasis:
The life you have implies that God is not yet through with you and that there is yet a Glory He will manifest in your life!!!

Death is not an issue for men who died in Christ. But it is for those who did not make the attributes of Christ (holiness, righteousness, humility, love) their lifestyle. Death provides an opportunity for every man to meet His creator!!!

The death of a loved one is very painful but not to the victim. Since we will all be poured like water spilt on the ground we need not fear death but prepare for it. You have every reason to fear death if your ways are not pure and if your main treasure is here on earth because death for such is the beginning of a sad end. 

We have heard about the Children of God who faced and confronted death but did not die. The only reason why a believer will continue to live is that; there is yet the Glory of God to be revealed through him.

As we have seen in the words of Jesus; He said "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head." (Matt 8:20); He said this because He has not come to stay on earth. Hence, He lived to only please the Father. You also, live your entire life to please the Father; this is the greatest achievement.

+ Where will you spend your eternity?

Lord! Deliver me from sin and every secret fault that can hinder me from making Heaven in Jesus name. Amen!!!

We will all die like other men who did; life is given to prepare for eternity!!!

Availability is more than ability; God will only use a man who is available not men with ability. You are prodigal with the grace of God each time you are not available to be used by Him!!!

Whatever you know how to do is not useful, if you will not make yourself available for God's use. Your useful life is that part of your life you use to serve God in service to humanity. You must be mindful of the fact that if you did not make yourself available for God's use, you will be used by the devil. The only way not to be an instrument in the hands of the evil one is to submit yourself to God.

The blessing of God in your life and every grace made available to you in every facet of life; is given to you for kingdom advancement. God in every generation will never lack human resource; make your existence count by making yourself available for His use in the domain of your placement. Be willing to give your best to serve God everywhere you go.

+ Are you available for God's use? Who is using you?

Lord! I will not be prodigal with your grace in my life; I am available, use me for your Glory in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Each time you consider the brighter side of your life; you will have every reason to appreciate the Lord who brought you this far. Every man no matter how wonderful they appear to be, have a dark side which is probably covered with beautiful clothes, cars and other wonderful possessions of life.

If God can just open your eyes to see what is happening deep down in the life of men you will get to know that God is fair with you. As you proceed in destiny; be mindful of the fact that you are fearfully and wonderfully made simply because there is a measure of God in you and you carry His breath. Therefore, appreciate God for who He is, with a grateful heart.

Comparing yourself with other people will only discourage you from moving on and blindfold you from seeing the wonderful virtue and treasure put in place by God in your life. Always consider the goodness of the Lord in your life and be inspired to fulfil your mandate in life!

The Lord in His infinite mercy will not but always crown us with Glory and Honour in every domain of life. Learning how to lay our crowns to worship God is critical to how far we will go fulfilling our mandate in life!!!

The Lord created man and made him have dominion over the works of His hands. By His mercy, He puts all things under his feet (Ps. 8:6). Hence, whatever height you have achieved in destiny, it does not make you in any way special than other men but rather a steward to God. This makes whatever crown of honour bestowed on you by God more of an instrument to fulfil your mandate than for pleasure.

When God shows mercy on a man; He crowns and makes him a General, Warrior, President, Governor, Judge, Director, Vice-Chancellor, Principal, Minister, Chairman, Professor, King, Bishop, Reverend Dr., Chief, General Overseer, Husband, Wife and the likes!

The expectation of God for you on daily basis in every domain of life is that you should forget who you are and worship Him by yielding yourself to do His will. No matter how terrible and bad your experience appears to be; you are expected to lay your worries and burden before the Lord and worship Him.

The success, joy and peace you will have in this life will be in your ability to move on with the help of God despite various interceptions that will come your way. Whatever comes your way, find grace in the Lord and move on. Travel on with patience trusting only in the Lord to help you to be an overcomer.

The testimony of the psalmist in the text looks so good and pleasing. However, before it came to this point; they would have been swallowed alive; the flood would have engulfed them, the torrent would have swept over them, the raging waters would have swept them away. But, God gave them testimony (Ps. 124:3-6).

The Israelites were terrified and had accepted to die before they sang: "Who is like You, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? (Exod.15:11) when God gave them victory over the Egyptians.

The situation you are passing through will at best work out a unique testimony out of your life. Don't give up on what God has said; the experience of those men who sang the song of victory at the end of their ordeal is not different from yours, you too will tell your story but that will be at the end of the phase of life God is taking you through.

+ Will you wait till the set time of God's favour for your life?

Lord! Let every challenging situation turn to testimony in Jesus name. Amen!!!

The brothers of Joseph continue to attribute every misfortune they had as a consequence of what they did to him. The same will play out in the life of every man who chooses to live in guilt. Guilt is cancer that kills a man from the inside. It deprives men of the needed confidence they should have in the battle of life and God's presence.

The heaviness of guilt is debilitating. It causes mental breakage, emotional crippling, even physical deterioration. Overall health and well-being are adversely affected when we carry guilt inside. The human being was psychologically designed for innocence, so as long as there is unresolved guilt within us our quality of life is compromised on all levels.

If you are still living in guilt; take the issues to the cross where the work of reconciliation was perfected. And be ready to submit yourself to principles under God that will ensure total freedom from guilt.

+ Is there a covered sin that must be confessed? Any offence to forgive or seek for forgiveness? Is there restitution to make?

Lord! I receive the grace to live a life free from guilt in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Man is designed to know in part. Some revelations will not come to the limelight if some steps are not taken. When God called Abraham; He called him out of his familiar ground to land he showed him. The aftermath of the steps he took in obedience to God made him the father of many generations.

We are always afraid of taking steps mostly because of the fear of the unknown. However, it takes taking steps to move on in life. You will always be a step closer to what God has for you each time you take definite steps towards His will for your life.

You can't know how much God can do for you nor quantify how great His plan is; if you don't take deliberate steps to follow Him in His steps.

Each time you see people who are educated, professionals in a certain field, married with a blissful home, fulfilled ministry; you have seen people who took definite steps in life. What you see in their lives is the product of the steps they've taken so far in life.

This is not about just doing something or taking any steps but obeying God based on the peculiarity of your life.

+ What have you learnt so far in life with respect to various steps you took?

The fact that God created us to fulfil a purpose; makes it paramount for Him to send us forth with a blessing and a promise. David having discovered the intention of God over him and his household believed it and prayed to Him to do exactly what He has said.

You must try as much as possible to ask God in prayers the promise He made to you. It is not the case that God will forget or fail to do what He has said but He is interested in our commitment to believing what He has said and our readiness to possess our possessions.

No matter how impossible His promises may appear to be with respect to the current situation of your life, all you have to do is to tell Him to do what He has said!

After David settled down as King, He began to reflect on his past and the Love shown to Him when he was a nobody. He did not only stop at the point of reflection but also attempted to repay the kindness and the love shown to him. This happened because Jonathan the son of King Saul sowed the seed of love in his life.

Also, if you can take time to critically evaluate what has happened so far in your life you will discover that there is nothing you achieved without Love. The Lord in His graciousness prompted men to show you, undisputed love.

Hence, you must never forget the seed of love sown into your life. Sow the seed of love in the lives of men who will also find themselves in situations similar to those you were which prompted men to come to your aid.

+ What do you think you can become in life without Love?

Lord! Make me an epitome of love and an extended hand of your love to the lives of men in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Have you been sick before and the doctor failed to respond on time despite the pain you suffered? Most of the time the health practitioners appear to be careless but in the actual sense they are not. The issue is that when a man becomes sick he is regarded as a patient just because he needs a systematic care to be who he used to be.

There is God's timing in every affair that has to do with man. The coming of the Lord is not limited to the end of age alone but also every area of life where divine intervention is needed.

There are several patients in the prison yard. They lost their freedom on the account of some life's circumstances, crime and fraudulent activities. They neither consider the principles of God nor wait on Him to bless them in the right way.

Some men entered into a wrong relationship/marriage due to the fact that they couldn't patiently wait upon God. Some young people have successfully destroyed the chance of getting a suitable suitor as a result of the consequence of prostitution, pre-marital sex like abortion, STDs etc.

Some people have lost some parts of their body if not their lives on the account of over speeding and couldn't get to the intended destination they were rushing to.

No matter how fast you think you can run; you cannot out run your creator. Patiently wait upon Him even as you follow Him in His principle in various affairs of your life.

+ In what way are you trying to outrun God?

Lord! I receive the grace to patiently wait for your salvation in every facet of life in Jesus name. Amen!

Patience is the virtue and the fruit of the spirit that peacefully ushers a man into His rest!!!

Focus: Helping Yourself by Yielding Yourself

There is a limit to which men can help you. When God bring people that can help you your way and they are trying to help you; don't forget to help yourself!!!

Helping yourself in this context is not trusting in the arm of the flesh for help but accepting to yield yourself to accept the advances God is making towards you through the people He is bringing your way. The fact is that God is ever ready to help, does not change the fact that you must help yourself to help God to help you. He needs your cooperation to do His good pleasure in your life.

Elijah was expected to eat in preparation for the journey ahead of him. By yielding to the instruction given to him, he was able to successfully go on a journey for 40 days and night without becoming weary. The parable of the ten virgins made it clear to us that every man is expected to take responsibility for his life.

If there is a child who has people to send him/her to school or have an opportunity to be in school; such must be ready to help himself to perform excellently. It is your responsibility to become worthy of God's salvation, blessing and His promises over your life. The turning point in the life of the prodigal son was the point he submitted himself to get it right with the father.

+ Do you cooperate with God to do His good pleasure in your life?

Lord! Help me to play my part in the fulfilment of your purpose for my life in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Various situation of life will not but give you reasons to fear or worry. You must not be ignorant of the fact that these issues will be many. Hence, you must learn to believe God and trust His words. No matter what happens don't stay in between victory and defeat; always move onto victory according to God's Word for you.

Life is given to worship God and fulfil His purpose. The fact that your generation will pass calls for the need to fulfil your mandate in your time. What you did in your time will be spoken of when you are forgotten. You must come to a point of resolution to meet up to God's expectation in the area of your placement in your time.

It was said of Amaziah that he served God but not with a perfect heart in his time (2 Chro 25:1-3 ). In the days of David, Daniel, Esther, Deborah they served the Lord and make a remarkable mark in the fulfilment of their mandate in their time. This is your time; you must make yourself to be available for God's use and fulfil His purpose.

Each time a man chooses; he does that based on his present, experience and what he feels he need. When God wants to give a man, he gives him based on what He feels will help him to fulfil his mandate and give him peace. If men truly know what they need; they will not choose the wrong wife, career, business, job, ministry, partner etc.

You must trust God with all your heart and never rely on your understanding. Life has proven that what truly gives a man the fulfilment he requires is the gift of God for Him. To have the life God wants to give you must submit yourself to accept what comes from the Lord.

The Lord is not ignorant of your strength. Each time He wants to promote you; He performs a character test in the areas of the things you feared most. Job try all he could to please God to put the evil one away from his destiny yet God allowed evil to befall him. However, he passed the test.

We cannot know your real character when things are just falling into their rightful place. In such situations, no man will hesitate to sing joyfully unto the Lord. Always expect your test in the various challenging situation of life.

We have seen people who eat good food and live in a very clean environment but yet fall sick. Some men work hard and give themselves to doing many things yet living in penury. Some take life easy and enjoy every bit of their time but yet never find satisfaction with their lives. When the unexpected situation happens brace up to do God's will at all cost.

There are several prevailing situations of life that tend to make men weary in the journey of destiny. Sometimes, those situations can prompt men to think that God has forsaken them. Nevertheless, the fact remains that God has an attribute that He neither forget nor forsakes His own.

Job knew this very fact about God during his travail which made him say: Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. Even so, I will defend my own ways before Him (Job 13:15). King David was not also ignorant of this fact when he was required to choose among the 3 options that he chose to fall into the hand of God.

As you proceed in destiny seek to know the Lord by experience. When you seek Him; you will know that His name is a strong tower that provides refuge for the righteous (Prov 18:10). If you have seen God in a mighty way either in your life and the lives of men around you, be mindful of the fact that He remains the same and that you can always trust Him!!!

Lord! You are the Almighty; continue to prove yourself in my life and help me to trust you in all situations in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Irrespective of who you are the fact remains that you can be ruled by the sinful nature to sin against God and go astray from His will. However, the Lord is gracious in that He always gives room for correction, deliverance and reconciliation. Therefore, whenever He calls do not harden your heart.

In the land of the living, strong temptations will not but surround you, world's tempest will face you, Satan will come to you like a friend pushing strong for you to fail, friends and neighbour will fail you, the comforts you enjoy may fly away, deep sorrows of life may come overpowering like salt grains in tempest seas; when at these times you must listen, respond and abide by the words of your Saviour.

Each time you are bent on going your way to do all you feel and will when your heart and mind keep panting neither hot nor cold do not neglect nor forget the saviour's love.

Maybe your case is like that of a dog that no more hears the hunter's whistles and call, and you've gotten lost in the world's wilderness with no hope for return; the Lord is still saying: Where are you? He won't give you over to death; make effort and come to Him today!

+ Do you still hear His voice? Do you respond to Him accordingly?

Saviour, please fail not to call me, as you did to Adam in Eden, saying where are you Oh sinner, that I may be saved from ruins in Jesus name. Amen!!!

You will not always have the time, open doors, strength, people around you, spiritual oversight, money, care, authority, influence and opportunities you used to have. As men, we need to experience both the good and the bad times to understand what life really is. Make best and proper use of every grace made available for you at every point in time to fulfil a purpose.

One of those things God, in His infinite mercy, give to his people is contentment. It is a virtue of God in the life of a man that delivers him from living a miserable life. Some people have money and pleasurable possession of life, but can neither sleep properly nor have rest of mind. Several men keep acquiring wealth but continue to run as if they have nothing.

The preacher observed nature and said: "All the rivers run into the sea, Yet the sea is not full" (Eccl 1:7a). The implication is that whatever a man seeks in life apart from God will never be enough. No man will ever think or believe the fact that what he has is enough until he lives with the orientation that having God and obeying Him is having everything.

In life, you cannot have everything but you can find contentment which brings about fulfilment in every facet of life in God alone. Honour God with your existence and strive to fulfil His purpose in everything you do.

The word of God and not the experience of men is settled in heaven. It is not appropriate to use the experience of men to explain the word of God but the word of God to explain the experience of men!!!

It is expected that the word of God should be the experience of men and not the experience of men to be the word of God. The experience of men can change and can be subjected to time and various seasons in life but not the word of God; this is because it is settled in heaven.

No matter what you feel about life as a result of your experience; it is not a basis for you or any man to alter what the Lord has said. The right approach is for us to always consider the word of God before taking any action and not finding the word of God as a backup to our actions or intended selfish desires. When the word of the Lord does not come first in every bid to carry out any divine assignment such work can never be correct; it will only fulfil the lust of the flesh.

People by the virtue of their experience disobey most of what Christ taught the new testament Church in terms of prayer, giving, love for enemies, taking an oath, fasting, treasure in heaven, cares and worries of life etc(Matt 5-7). The good news of our Lord Jesus is no longer what motivates people to pray in most churches but the evil enterprise of the devil in the lives of men or quest for materialism.

Whatever the case may be with you the fact remains that the Lord has a standard that can never be compromised.

We know a man who possesses the spirit of God through humility. A man is humble whenever he acknowledges the fact that he is what he is by the grace of God and there is nothing he can ever be without the help of God. Also, he lives with the orientation that there is no height he attains in life that he does not need God; to such, there is no life without God.

They are people who believe that there is a measure of God in the life of every man created by God irrespective of class, position, title, tribe, condition and age. They attribute the difference among men to the measure of grace made available to every individual in every facet of life. They acknowledge their wrong doings and weaknesses; they are never to big to admit the fact that they need help in various aspect of life.

They are men who are never too familiar with the word of God but tremble at God's word to act accordingly. God said to the humble, He will make grace available. He will walk with them, help and carry them through the journey of destiny. If you want God to help you, then you must be humble!!!

King Solomon became a preacher due to the wisdom, riches, power given to him by God and the vast experience he had through God's gift in his life. Despite all he had he concluded that they were all vanity and asked a crucial question: What does a man gain from his labour? With what I have seen so far in life, I just felt life is actually meaningless without fulfilling God's purpose.

A woman by God's grace build a house and lived to the fullness of age and died. She was buried in the compound of the house. After some years, her children saw the need to sell the house and evacuated her remains to another location. If building the house was a unique feat for her in life, then the right to be buried in a little portion of it was stripped off.

The only profit you have as a living soul is whatever you can lay up for yourself as treasure in heaven. Your treasure in eternity is what you truly owned. Jesus said all you have on this earth will suffer rot or it will be taken by another; hence, preserve your labour against rot and thieves of this life.

+ What are you living for? What is your profit in this life?

Lord! Help me to live a purposeful life in Jesus name. Amen!!!

We know a man who is in Christ through the life he lived. If you are in Christ you will resemble Him in His attributes. The account written concerning Christ was that He went everywhere doing that which is good. Each time you do what Christ did not do what you are doing is evil.

If there is anyone who felt like doing something think about what Christ has done and do likewise. Be a friend who is faithful and can be trusted with what belongs to others. Be mindful of the fact that what you did everywhere you go will continue to linger in the heart of men who come in contact with you. Your memories will only be blessed if you live the life of Christ.

Help the widows, orphans and those in need. Heal the sick, bind the heart that bleeds and feed the hungry. Share the Gospel with sinners gone astray, Hold the light up that they might see the way. Do your best to lift the falling. These, we must surely do, if we will be true to our calling as Christians. By these, we serve Him and demonstrate His love.

Several people of God who won the battle of life must have at one time or the other struggled with fear. The Lord at a point keeps telling Joshua over and over to “be not afraid,” “be of good courage,” etc. (Joshua 1:9, 18; 8:1). It was an encouragement against cowardice that Joshua passed along to the Israelites (Joshua 10:25).

Giving up because you think you don't have enough strength or that your antagonist is stronger is an act of cowardice. Bowing to the devil, shunning to do the will of God and maintaining a friendship with the world is an act of cowardice.

So-called Christians are not standing up for God. They’re afraid to speak up when the pressure is on so they won’t get persecuted. They stand up for Satan instead of God. Deny Him and His Word and He will deny you.

Cowardice in the battle of life means death. If you don't want to die or lose out in destiny you must never live your life as a coward. You must be ready to face death if you must not die.

Lord! Help me to be strong and courageous in standing for you in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Focus: The Power of the Cross

The power of the cross is the power of resurrection and there is no resurrection without death. It is by the cross that the self-life, the embodiment of sin (the flesh) was crucified and rendered powerless in the life of a man!!!

The power of God will only manifest in the life of a man who is dead to the natural life. It is at the cross that the natural life terminates, hence, life in the spirit begins at the cross. Resurrection life begins at the cross.

It is the work that Jesus Christ did that renders the devil impotent and nullifies the ground on which he can attack us. The cross also insulates us from the world system so that we may be able to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit with all liberty. When the cross is allowed to work in any life, he is not only dead to the world but the world becomes crucified, dead and rendered useless to him.

Lord! I receive the grace to be always willing to allow Christ to be magnified in me in Jesus name. Amen!!!

When the women of Jerusalem saw how Jesus was beaten and His suffering in a build-up to His crucifixion they cried their heart out. The Lord told them not to cry for Him but themselves and their Children because as far as He is concerned He is fulfilling the purpose of His coming.

In this generation, there is a need for critical evaluation of our lives and the way we live to see if we are fulfilling the purpose of our creation. We are the ones that know the will of God but choose to do otherwise. We are too busy and unavailable to live sacrificially to render quality service to God and humanity. We need to take heed and live to please Him now that we have the grace to do so. We need to shift focus away from criticizing what people have done and are doing to what we are doing and how we are living our lives.
