Focus: The Valley of Experience

WORD FOR TODAY
There is always a table (platform for the manifestation of God's glory) reserve for all men who patiently and faithfully wait upon God through their valley experience. All men who became great for the course of the Lord never did without the valley experience!!!

"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; . . . You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. " (Psalms 23:4-5a NIV).

In Ps 40:1-3 David describes his experience; that he waited patiently for the Lord. The Lord heard him, brought him out of the horrible pit, set his feet on the rock and gave him a new song. The trend is the same for all great men.

The life of a man can be described to be like two mountains having a valley in-between. The first mountain is the mountain of revelation where God unfold His precious plan for his life. The valley between the two mountains represents various process the Lord takes him through in a bid to bring to pass what He planned for him. The second mountain is called the mountain of fulfilment. The life of Joseph best describes this; the mountain of his dreams, the valley of his slavery and being a prisoner, the mountain of his manifestation as a prime minister.

Therefore, before a table will be set for a man, he must accomplish his valley experience. This valley is the valley of brokenness meant to make a man lose sight of himself (every confidence in self in terms of his strength and ability). Here, the Lord opens the eyes of the man to his limitations and reduce him to nothing just to empower and make his life conform to His purpose.

Don't run away from the process the Lord is taking you through; there is a prepared table ahead of you.

+ Are you cooperating with God in the valley of experience?

Lord! Help me to submit to every process designed for my life for growth and fulfilment in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Before your feet will be set on the rock of fulfilment the valley of experience must be accomplished!!!

Focus: The God of Process

WORD FOR TODAY
One thing you must be mindful of as you proceed in destiny is that God is a God of process and not a magician. The best way to be who God wants you to be in any facet of life is to submit yourself to the laid down process required by God for your life!!!

In the beginning, when God created the earth, it took Him seven days to bring it to perfection. It is not the case that He cannot command and bring everything to reality in just a day but He did not, just to let us know that everything in life requires a process.

When the Lord made it clear that He had rejected King Saul and prompted Samuel to anoint David; one would think that He would ascend the throne immediately but it took several years for that to come to pass. God can make King Saul die but He didn't. When the time became ripe and David had successfully undergone the process required for him to ascend the throne under God he became King.

When the promises of God come to you, it sets you on a mountain called revelation. It will require time and walking in the premises of God's promises to get to the mountain of the fulfilment of His promises. The word "automatic" does not apply to any issue that has to do with purpose and mandate. You don't need to struggle or engage in a frantic race to become anything in life but submit yourself to the process required.

+ Do you submit yourself to every process designed for you by God?

Lord! Help me to submit to every process designed for my life for growth and fulfilment in Jesus name. Amen!!!

The fact is that every growth requires process and time establishes the fact that God is not a magician but a God of Process!!!

Focus: Character is Everything

Everything the Lord made you pass through is purposely for character development. The measure of a man's progress in every facet of life is his character!!!

When a man lacks character he lacks everything because no matter what such person has will not bless him. There is no height a good character cannot take a man irrespective of his background and experience. Character is regarded as diligence, faith, good virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, kindness, and love.

No matter how great your credentials appear to be, it will be useless if you lack character. The plan of God over a man's life will not come to pass if he fails to develop in character. David was able to face Goliath because he has overtime submitted himself to taking responsibility when it seems not relevant among sheep.

Joseph was able to overcome the temptation brought before him in a land where he was not known because he has learnt how to obey God even in the secret. What you do today will determine your response tomorrow. Allow God to help you and live His life in you. Submit yourself to every process meant to prepare you for a wonderful future.

Focus: The Blessedness of Being Careful

WORD FOR TODAY
Some experience in life can be avoided if a man will obey God's word and be very careful. Carefulness and watchfulness is a prerequisite for success in the battle of life!!!

God did not design man to engage in all battle of life. Some life's battle can be avoided by carefully yielding oneself to God's word through the Holy Spirit. Several great men have fallen not because they lack strength or even God's support but because they were not watchful and careful. Prayer becomes effective when a man prays with absolute watchfulness and carefulness.

Be careful of what you say and those you tell sensitive things about your life. Be careful of who you make your friends and associate with, what you eat and where you choose to go. Jesus was careful and didn't give himself to men. Most enemy will not come to you as one but as a friend. The life of many people is in good condition until they met someone who made it complicated. Don't be too overconfident with life; be careful as you allow God to lead you in the journey of destiny!!!

Lord! I receive the grace to be watchful and careful in the journey of destiny in Jesus name. Amen.

Recklessness and carelessness in the life of a man is a sign of foolishness, being careful is regarded as wisdom and a way to avoid evil!!!

God designed everything in life to start small. You neglect a great future when you neglect the days of little of beginning!!!

The Lord is not ignorant of the fact that you are small. Even though you appear small the future God sees for you is greatness. Your life is not limited to what it is at present but the projection of God concerning you as you proceed in the journey of destiny.

No matter what happens or what your lot appear to be, do not forget to be mindful of the fact that it is the will of God for you to experience increase abundantly. You will get to where God is taking you when you take a step into it by yielding yourself to obey Him. Do not be afraid to start small be it in business, marriage, career, academics etc. What you did not start, you will not accomplish!!!

Although God cares so much about your present He is very much interested in your future. Irrespective of your experience in life be ever mindful of the fact that there is a future hope for you.

There are things you will not naturally know and some things you will never know how to do until you are compelled through life's experience to know and to do. This is the essence of whatever you may be passing through.

No matter how great your level and achievement in life may be; you must continue to live your life having this orientation that the best is yet to come.

Your faithfulness, consecration, commitment to the domain of your placement will go a long way to determine your future placement. Fear the Lord in everything you do, don't compromise your faith on the account of the challenges around your life because your future matters most to God.

By the virtue of what you have passed through so far in life, you must have come to some important conclusion in terms of the blessing or consequence associated with some actions as well as the attributes of God.

King Nebuchadnezzar was made to spend seven years in the wilderness among wild animals just to make him understand who God was. At the end of seven years he came to an important understanding of the following fact:

1. There is a King in Heaven who must be praised, extolled and honoured above others.
2. His works are truth and His ways of justice.
3. He can bring down all those who walk in pride.

What is your conclusion after all you've been through? Have you come to the knowledge of God's attribute? Do you agree with the dealings of God in your life by living in conformity to His standard for your life? A man is only wise if he learns from his experience and that of men around him.

Focus: The Heart of a Fool

No man is created to be a fool but a man becomes a fool whenever he fails to acknowledge God in his endeavour. Acknowledging God in every facet of life is the beginning of wisdom!!!

A very great height of foolishness is identified each time a man neglects the counsel of God in every affair of life. It is only a fool that knows the will of God and chooses to do otherwise or knows the consequence of an action and still goes ahead to do it. What you say in your heart matters a lot and determines who you are.

"Who will/can challenge me?", "There is none like me!", "I am invincible", " I am better than them", "There is nothing they can do without me", "I can do and undo", "Nobody can stop me" are the languages of a fool. Nebuchadnezzar said to the 3 Hebrews: "Who is the god who will deliver you from my hands?" But God revealed himself and proved to him that he was indeed a fool; his folly was treated in the wilderness for Seven Years (Dan 4:28-37).

Goliath became a fool the day he defied the armies of the Lord (1Sam 17:35). King Herod was so foolish that he took the glory which belonged to God (Acts 12:21-24). When a man begins to accept any feelings or deliberate in his heart that he is something without due reverence to God and His will he becomes a fool.

Lord! I refuse to be a fool; I lay my crown and worship you in Jesus name. Amen

No matter how far a man has gone in life and the level of experience in various issues of life, the fact remains that if he should look back every event will look as if it happened yesterday. The most experienced of men cannot accurately predict what will happen in the next moment. Some people who died today has plans for the days to come; death was not part of their plans because they have no clue of it.

It is possible for a man to feel that he is wise or smart in various aspects of life; it is so just because the situation that will make him clueless has not come. There is something you need to do to be saved, to experience turn around and have a breakthrough. It will only come from God alone.

Be mindful of the fact that we are not created to be isolated from God who created us and defined our destiny. Always seek God and allow His word to lead you through the journey of destiny.

What people see about you is not enough to determine your personality. You will not have a correct evaluation of yourself; if you don't live and see yourself the way God; who sees every deep secret and intent of man's heart sees you. At every point in time you must evaluate yourself and be sure if:

1. You love God and you have given your all to Him.
2. You have dominion over the flesh, sin, evil within and without.
3. You no longer have condemnation over sin and that Jesus rules in your heart.
4. The will of God and His word is the driving force of your life.
5. You are walking and working in heaven's pure light and that your soul is clothed white.

Making eternity with God is a strong matter of the heart.

The challenges we face in life are meant to make us, add value and beautify our lives. In this life, there is no glory without a peculiar and inspirational story!!!

God allows you to pass through all you are passing through to give you a story. If you can think deeply about how you lived so far in life you will discover that in the actual sense you have a story to tell. This is not where you use to be and this is not your final destination because the Lord is taking you somewhere; when you get there your story will inspire some to believe God as the Almighty.

No matter what you are passing through be mindful of the fact that victory is in sight. The beauty of the process you are going through cannot be known as at the time you are in it but at the end. At a point, David was mourning and putting on sackcloth but at the end, he said "You have turned for me my mourning into dancing".

Time and space will not permit us to talk about the likes of Joseph, Daniel, Hannah, Abraham etc who had a share of their ordeal in this life but waited until God decorated their destinies. The process was not easy and palatable but the story was sweet and inspirational at the end of their lives. You also must wait until the Lord beautifies your life.

Every man on earth will not but find himself in various challenging situation of life that will be beyond his capability. Each time you find yourself in issues beyond what you can handle remember that God rules in all affairs of men and present your case to Him.

I have never in life seen any man that achieved anything good by worrying. As you proceed in destiny, the Lord is not ignorant of what you will meet, therefore, at various point in life He will be waiting for you to make grace available. Do not worry about anything but pray about everything. Make whatever troubles your heart a burden to pray about!!!

The life of a man is characterized by his past, present and future. Irrespective of what your lot might have appeared to be in the journey of destiny, you must be mindful of the fact that you did not come to this point in your life without the help of God and that you cannot go forth without Him. He is the God of yesterday, today and the future.

As you proceed in destiny, don't forget that God who assisted you and provided the required grace to scale through various hurdles of life is still very much the God you need to lead through the journey of destiny. Even when it appears as if the future ahead of you looks so unpromising don't forget the fact that God holds tomorrow. Do not worry about anything but believe God who holds the future for everything!!!

There is more to every man's life than what we see or hear about them. There is a secret part of every man which is only known to God. The untold part of our individual life is most of the time our real personality. Hence, no man has the right to judge another. Never take the place of God in the lives of men.

There is no man without a peculiar weakness or limitations in various aspects of life. As a human, we are likely to use our behaviour to implies the act of other men. This most of the time makes our sense of judgement to be weak. Instead of taking the Judges stand in the life of men; examine yourself and ensure that you are not guilty of what men are doing.

It is not a good thing to be sad or depressed over things you can do nothing about. Always take solace in the fact that there is nothing God cannot do nor a situation He cannot change. As you go on in destiny, lift your thoughts higher than your current challenges; allow God to be the pilot and let His word lead you into His precious plan for you.

For everything, the Lord wants to give you the devil has a close substitute. Not everything that looks like a blessing will bless your life. It is only what comes from your God your creator that will bless and help your life. When Gehazi ran after Naaman in a quest to get something for himself he thought he was on the verge of getting an increase not knowing he was taking a journey to become leprous.

Although we go on in life intending to get good things; the fact remains that we should have a great desire for what God gives. The Lord on many occasions chooses not to answer our prayers because what we thought is good for us is not.

Hence, do not be deceived by how good something appears to be or by how much people root for it. Get whatever you need pertaining to life and godliness from the Lord!

Lord! Help me to desire your gift in every facet of life; may I never settle for a close alternative to what you want to give me in Jesus name. Amen

Your primary assignment in every domain of your placement is to save lives. Each time you have any reason to deal or relate with men you are dealing with lives. Mammon (money) has done a lot of evil in the lives of men in that he makes men lose sight of their calling.

As a Teacher or Lecturer, several young lives will pass through you; you are expected to help their foundation and teach the values that will uphold their future. As a Medical practitioner, Judges, clergyman man and leader in any capacity; God over your life expects that men, their future, lives and possession are secured in your hands.

Be mindful of the fact that God ordained you to be a prophet to nations. However, you can only save lives when God has helped you to overcome (self) selfishness and (worldliness) the love of money. Allow God to work in you to do His good pleasure so that your existence will not be a waste nor be detrimental to God's purpose.

+ Is the lives of men secured in your hands?

Lord! Make me a channel of blessing to peoples lives; enlarge my bosom for men to find refuge in Jesus name. Amen!!!

You make nonsense what God want to achieve with your life in His purpose if lives and everything placed under your watch is not secured according to His will!!!

Focus: Prayer Never Ends

Life has proven that a solution to a problem creates another. We will not but pray as long as we live!!!

The essence of prayer is to ensure that your joy is complete. The quest to ensure the fullness of joy in every aspect of life is a major factor that will prompt men to pray. Hence, you have not prayed until your joy is complete. When life appears good and in proper shape do not stop praying about it. When life appears to be complicated, it needs prayers.

If you will not stop having a desire, aspiration, and quest for a glorious future you will not but pray. It is the only dead man that does not need prayer. The world is beautiful today because there are children who are making the prophecy of greatness in the days to come. We don't worry much about wonderful men who are leaving various stages of life because there are children who are getting set to take over from them.

The word of God likened Children to arrows; a weapon of war. There is a limit to what a mighty man can do if he has no weapon to fight on the battlefront. The height a mighty man cannot reach his arrow can and the battle he cannot win by his hands his arrow can help him. Nevertheless, he has the responsibility to prepare and shoot the arrow at the appropriate time and on the right target.

When the Lord promised to make Abraham a mighty nation; He gave him a child. The child given to you is God's inheritance meant to help you win various battles of life and make you great. Therefore, they must be trained spiritually, academically, morally, socially and maritally. Your arrow will not depart from the direction you send it (Prov.22.6).

Your dreams will only come pass and become relevant to you existence if it is in line with God's will for you. Hence, you must seek God's will and honour Him with your decision. Irrespective of what your lot appears to be in destiny, you must have the Life God wants to give you. Even when it appears that the future you have been longing for did not come you must fulfil your purpose.

Whenever you are given a gift and men pray, advise, counsel, guide, connect you; the aim is to teach you love, service and what it meant to do those things and its blessedness. When these gestures are shown to you be mindful of the silent voice; which whisper to you "go and do likewise unto men".

When you are made happy you have known a way to make people happy. If you are forgiven, forgive others as well. Accept the benevolence of men toward you with great indebtedness. Do not forget to do likewise when the situation and time demand it.

An act of ingratitude is identified each time a man thinks that he is not enjoying God's mercy or that life is not fair with him. God over the years has proven from generation to generation that He is a merciful God who shows mercy according to some measure in the life of every individual.

Some people do not have money and pleasurable things of this life but they have sound health and rest of mind. Some have money but do not have what money cannot buy. The fact that there are certain aspects in your life where you are incapacitated established the fact that you need God and that He must have mercy on you. When God have mercy on a man in a certain aspect that is when things will fall in their rightful place in that aspect.

Irrespective of the condition you find yourself the fact remains that you were created to praise God. How you praise Him while still living will determine if you will praise Him forever in eternity. This is because life is given to prepare for eternity.

Fulfil your primary assignment by praising God as a living soul so that the younger generation will know the truth and the faithfulness of God.

Your primary assignment as a true believer in Christ is to believe God in His word. Believing God is an important prerequisite to your establishment in every aspect of life. No matter how tough the situation around your life may be; if there is anything you must do, it is to believe in God.

The Lord has placed several men through which we can have access to Him. These men are expected to stand for Him in various affairs of life. Hence, your prosperity in life also depends on God's word presented to you through these men. In the actual sense, you cannot effectively believe the God you don't see if you don't believe the people He put in place to guide and direct you according to His word.

Nevertheless, a Prophet or a messenger of God must be identified through a token of God's presence and a lifestyle that is not contrary to the word of God.

The word of every God's messenger is subjected to the word of God. Their word shouldn't be of them but of God who sent them. Don't be eaten up by the garments of the prophets or word which defeats the righteousness of God.

The whole duty of a man is that he should fear God (Eccl 12:13). You can never please God if you don't fear Him.

Those who fear God do not wait for people's presence to do what is right. The fear of the Lord shields your life in many ways. When sin does not find a place in your life you have succeeded in protecting your life against several problems of life. You have blocked every channel through which the devil can gain access to perform His enterprise in your life. In all your pursuit in life don't forget that one of your most important primary assignment which is to fear God.

When the prodigal son saw that he cannot continue to live in the mess he brought himself into; he turned to a direction towards the Father who received him joyfully. A similar fate awaits every man who repents genuinely. No man goes away from the father that will not mess up. To remain in the mess is the greatest tragedy that can happen to a man.

The devil may provide an arm to provide a temporal measure for your mess but you are only safe with the Lord and his arm is ever safe to receive you. No matter how great the gravity of what you have done against the will of God may appear to be the fact remains that even though God chastises his people severely; He doesn't give them over to death (Ps.118:18). His love for all mankind is that we should not perish but have everlasting life.

Don't give up on God on the account of your shortcomings He is ever waiting to accept you. He is very much interested in your homecoming! Repent and get things right with your creator!

Lord! No power of hell nor scheme of man will ever pluck me from your hands in Jesus name. Amen!!!

The Lord created us. He wants to achieve something with our lives. Our existence was first and foremost His idea; we were created for Him and His purpose alone. He remains God with or without us. Therefore, we must learn to move on in destiny with faith trusting only in Him irrespective of whatever betides.

The Lord proved a point that He is God in the lives of Lazarus, Daniel, Sarah, Joseph and the Israelites etc. He sometimes makes evil people prevail just to package them for destruction as He did to Pharaoh. There is no level the Lord cannot take you to if it will pass a message with accurate precision in agreement to what He is doing or will do. Eyes have not seen nor ears have heard what He has prepared for those who wait on Him. Cooperate with Him to achieve His good pleasure through your life.

The Lord was pleased with Solomon and He gave him rest on every side: no adversary nor evil occurrence. Consequently, He saw the need to build a house in God's name.

One of those things you need in life to fulfil your mandate is rest. When there is trouble, sickness and threat from enemies; every assignment given to you by God will suffer setbacks. You must yield yourself to pleasing God in everything you do to enjoy his peace in every facet of life.

God walks and works mysteriously. He exhibits His good pleasure in the life of men whenever they yield themselves to obey Him and He chooses to show mercy on them. As you will be required to take responsibility for various issues in your life be mindful of the fact that obedience to God's principle brings Him to your aid.

Hence, you must be strong.

Despite all Job had; he did not see them as his strength but the Lord Himself. To him, God must be praised irrespective of what happens. Don't put your strength in money, life's achievements or material possessions. These will only support you after God has strengthened you. Always find strength in the Lord for every issue that confronts in destiny.

There is an appointed time for every blessing God intends to give His children. However, when a man becomes desperate to have what God has not approved for him; he will pay dearly for it using the most precious virtue of his life.

Several men have sacrificed their peace, joy, fulfilment, consecration, good relationships and the plan of God for their life on the altar of desperation to have what God is not ready to give them. If you must be desperate; to should be to seek God and do His will. Always seek the help of God to overcome every pressure of expectation from both people of this life and worldliness. Wait upon God for your life's needs, and He shall Bless you appropriately.
