WORD FOR TODAY
Grace provides an opportunity to achieve something with the capacity of God. When you run in the capacity of man it is called a race but running in the capacity of God it is called Grace!!!

You will only be who God wants you to be by grace alone. To walk in the capacity of what a man can do is to subject your life to the limitations of men. You must desire grace as you proceed in destiny; this is because Grace is what makes a man who is condemned to condemnation to be celebrated.

All our aspirations, prayers offered, heights we hope to reach, the blessing we want to have and what we want to achieve for God; will only come to reality if and only if grace is made available. We will only go forth to fulfil our mandate by grace alone. Every sorrow will turn to praise only by His grace. If there be anything that appears so difficult for you to achieve over the years; what you need is Grace!!!

+ In whose capacity are you operating in life?

Lord! Let grace be made available for me to fulfil my mandate in Jesus name. Amen!

Focus: A Grievous Evil

WORD FOR TODAY
There is no evil as grievous as labouring but not allowed to enjoy the fruit of labour. It is God that allows and strengthens a man to labour and at the same time enjoy the fruit of labour!!!

Life has indicated that it is a thing to labour it is another thing to enjoy the fruit of labour. As we proceed in destiny, we must be mindful of the fact that God rules in the affairs of men and must be acknowledged in everything we do.

The life of the Rich fool was cut short when he thinks he should settle and enjoy the fruit of his labour (Luke 12:16–21). The Midianites oppressed the Israelites by harvesting their crops at the time of harvest leaving them to wallow in hunger (Judges 6).

It is a very painful experience for a man to experience shame at the time he should manifest His Glory or experience sorrow when he is expected to be joyful. Acknowledge God in all your ways and always ask for the grace to enjoy the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

The day a man decides to follow God or be in the company of God's people, he carries an important identity that can either glorify God or drag His name in the mud. You must be mindful of how you live your life as God's children.

A man saw the behaviour of a man who claimed to be a Christian and concluded that he doesn't know that's how Christians behave. You can't afford to be a disgrace to the name of God nor be a stumbling block to people who want to come to God. The life you live matters to the work of salvation in this age. Hence, in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and purity be an example of a believer to the glory of God.

Several men in their reasoning think that they are better than other people because they don't have the education, career, job, car, houses, material possessions, ministry, wife/husband, children, authority etc. like they do. No man is better than another; it is the measure of grace given to every individual that makes it look as if some are better.

If you can make a critical analysis of your life, you will discover that nothing is so special about you. Those aspects that make it looks as if you are powerful; someone will do even more exceptionally if given the grace. It is wrong for you to look at a man and conclude in your heart that "I am better" If all the grace made available to us is withdrawn what would be left with our life? It is the grace of God in our lives that make us who we are.

We must be honest the estimation of ourselves, measuring our value by how much grace God has given us. We must know that the end of everything we think we are or we will be is dust.

Lord! Help me to always know that I am a product of grace and that the beauty of my life is your work in me in Jesus name. Amen!

There is nothing called a genius, handsome/beautiful, rich, brilliance, excellence etc. but the grace of God which makes the difference in the lives of men. All men are the same; dust!!!

One of those things the Lord does for those who became and will become a useful instrument in His hands is that He takes them through a process of character development. Irrespective of what God wants to achieve with your life if you lack character it will amount to nothing.

There are several men out there who detest every act that has to do with normal and due process. They hate righteousness and boycott every process meant to prepare them for the fulfilment of their mandate. Such will not but fail in destiny; it is a matter of time. It takes a good character to sustain a home, business, academics, career, job, ministry and any position of leadership.

Your character is a factor that determines how far you will go and the perspective of your journey in destiny. Nothing good will work well in the hands of a man who lacks the required character to do well. Submit yourself to every divine process meant to shape your life into fulfilling your divine purpose in life.

God is always on a lookout for faithful men who will be in charge of various affairs of men. Every man needs a brother. You will need people to run your business, teach and guide your children, build your estate, keep your home when you are not available. You will need collaborators in everything you do in the manner others will also need you.

As you will be in charge of people's life, business, enterprise, children, wife, husband, marriage, career, ministry etc. be mindful of the fact that it is the will of God that the lives of these people are safe in your hands. Always allow God to help you to be found faithful in what belongs to other men. It is in doing this that you will enjoy the blessing of the Lord in what belongs to you.

In the manner, God asked of Abel from Cain the same way He will enquire from you what happens to your neighbour through your deeds. See your neighbour as your self. Don't build your joy by sowing the seed of sorrow in the life of another. Rather, be a source of joy to people who comes your way.

Every man that comes your way is a potential instrument that God can use to bless your life. It is not only men who appeared to have what you need that can be of great blessing to you. Life has proven that fact that help does not come mostly from the expected places.

Excellence begins with the way you see and treat men. Some people see a relationship as a ladder they need to rise further in life. Such people will only relate to others when they think they will be useful. But you must always know that life does not take a man up like a ladder but grows like a tree with roots and branches.

Live with the orientation that every relationship is important even if it appears mutual or parasitic. See and treat men as people with the measure of God who deserves love and respect.

A man can deceive people with good godly appearance but not God. If God will not accept your sacrifice then there is no need for it. This is because God has a standard which cannot be compromised by anyone.

There are several men with good names and spiritual titles but their lives in the secret is stinking. We have people claim to be Christian and God's people but still stealing funds, committing adultery, hindering the progress of other men and engaging in various forms of atrocities. People may consider these men as ministers, choir members, ushers, sanctuary keepers, evangelist but as far as God is concerned, they did not belong to Him.

It is time to think about our lives and be sincere in doing away with the deceit of calling the name of God and still indulging in iniquity. No matter what we do the fact still remains that God knows those who are His.

The beginning of everything in life is always in obscurity. No man can predict the dimension of the greatness of a man at the beginning of his life. Even with the fact that your beginning is also vital to what you will become in life; it does not necessarily define your end.

Therefore, if you are in Christ, don't ever define your future and what God has said concerning your life with the knowledge of your background. Don't limit what God will do with your life because of your present circumstance. The man that should never be underrated is the one who put his faith absolutely on God.

You can only experience a setback in a bid to become what God planned for you if you fail to undergo the process laid down on the pathway of greatness. Trust your life only to God who can transform your destiny and He will lead you into an unquantifiable path of greatness.

Life is a test. When God places a man in a leadership position, He subjects him to the test of righteousness and how much he can reverence Him. Most of the time, those in a leadership position are not always the best set of individuals available in such domain but mostly those who are privileged.

When you find yourself in the capacity of employing men, determining the fortune of people, administering funds, transferring people, impacting younger lives, having access to people's information, saving lives do it in righteousness and the fear of God.

It is when you do this that your life will be like the light of the morning when the sun rises, a morning without clouds, like the tender grass springing out of the earth, by clear shining after rain. (2Sam 23:4). Be conscious of the fact that life is a temporary assignment. After your rule, people will either bless or curse you and your life will become a reverence point based on the peculiarity of your deeds.

Lord! Help me to live in righteousness and reverence you with godly awe in Jesus name. Amen!!!

There are men who in their quest for joy and great feat in life cause others indelible pain. They build their empire while destroying the empires of others. They feed fat on the entitlement of others who are wallowing in pains and hunger. They will reap in multiple folds the seed of sorrow and sadness they sow in the lives of men.

Do not build your home, business, enterprise, ministry, career etc. destroying or racking havoc to that of others. An attempt to do so; is an attempt to sow the seed of sorrow and pain into your future. No man engage in such that will not end in tears. This is because as much as the pains of their victim remains fresh their cases will continue to seek justice before God. Be careful always and allow God to help you to seek and live righteously in your pursuit in life.

+ What type of seed are you sowing in the lives of men?

Lord! I receive the grace to sow the seed of love in the lives of men; my life will not end in tears and disgrace in Jesus name. Amen.

The Lord is interested in what is in your heart than what you appear to do. It is not enough for a man to claim to have loved God. A man sometimes may not know how much he loved and cherish God until he finds himself in some situation of life. Hence, everything happening to you is a test to validate what is in your heart.

Your action and inaction in every situation of life matters to God. What you did you your trying times determines what God will place in your hand. Sometimes you will not but find yourself in a situation where you will be in serious need and be tempted to steal money kept in your disposal. You will face the test of handling the opposite sex and be tempted to commit adultery. Some situation of life may prompt you to renounce your faith in a bid to solve some spiritual problem.

God allow most of these things to happen to us to know what is in our heart; whether we will obey him or not come what may. You must be mindful of the fact that God is placing a watch on your life and what you do in every situation of life reveals your true identity.

Lord! I will not fail the test of life in Jesus name. Amen.

Focus: Finding Forgiveness

No matter how terrible the sin of a man is, there is a provision of forgiveness in the Lord. Irrespective of the gravity of your sin and the guilt in your heart, be rest assured that God is faithful and just enough to forgive your sins if you truly turn to Him!!!

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1John 1:9 NKJV)

God is not a man; when God forgives a man, He truly forgives and remembers his iniquity no more! By the virtue of the work of the cross; there is forgiveness for every man who turns to God. Each time a man sins; he is required to be just by admitting the fact that he sinned and turning to God for the forgiveness of life.

The first step to finding forgiveness of your sins is to admit that you have sinned and that you are a weak man who needs help with all sincerity. After which you are required to change your direction; i.e. coming to the Lord for the remission of your sins.

The Prodigal son after wasting the resources he collected from his father still found mercy from Him when he turns back to Him. Don't be ever tempted to go away from the will of God because the words of the evil one which whispers into your heart that: "With what you just did God can never forgive" That is a lie from the evil one. In every situation do not go away from the Lord remember the word of the Psalmist which says: The LORD has chastened me severely, But He has not given me over to death. (Ps.118:18 NKJV).

No matter what happens to you or what your experience is as you proceed in destiny; you must not allow it to get the best of your feelings. You need the right type of feeling to do something right and exceptional. You must learn how to take a stand on what you expect from various issues of life.

In the parable of the talent, the man who received one talent felt that the Master was not fair to him; hence, he became unproductive. The same applies to all men who felt God is not fair to them in terms of blessing, anointing and various resources placed at their disposal. To have the best in every facet of life the best feelings is required. A man who is having the feeling of failure, disappointments and bad luck will never experience success and prosperity except for God's mercy.

Greatness is simply becoming what God wants you to be. The Lord is satisfied if your existence fulfill the purpose of your creation!!!

Great people are not men who have money and acquire material possession but men who fulfil their mandate and make an indelible mark in the sand of time. The concept of becoming great is not acquiring wealth or material possession of life more than others but serving sacrificially and exceptionally.

Greatness begins when you have developed a heart of service. When your orientation change from "what will I get to what will I offer to bless lives". A man will never become great in becoming what God wants Him to be until he develops the heart of service. You are destined to great since you are created to fulfil a unique purpose. You have to make up your mind and please God by living up to the purpose of your creation: this is what greatness entails.

No matter what happens God never fails. The proof from generation to generation has established the fact that the Almighty God has no record of failure!!!

At every point where the situation of life appears as if God fails; the failure is not attributed to God but men. The fact that there are several promises of God concerning your life does not change the fact that your cooperation and obedience is needed to bring it to pass.

God promised to bring the Israelites to the promised land and performed several miracles in a buildup to bringing them into the land but many of them couldn't make to the land on the account of their disobedience to God. God will not but always do what He says; however, it will always be in the premise of obedience. He does little or nothing in the midst of disobedience and indiscipline.

+ To what degree have you failed God? Do you think God has failed you at any point in time?

Lord! I receive the grace to cooperate with you in walking and working in obedience to your will in Jesus name. Amen!

A man has not come to the best resolution in various issues of life until he has resolved to seek God concerning it!!!

Various issues of life will not but set you in motion and make you have a quest for something. Life, on the other hand, will not but present several options to meet your needs in terms of your strength (what you can do), the human resources available to you (men who appear powerful), what the devil can do and what God can do.

All these options were also available for Job in the time of his ordeal but he resolved to only seek God. Life is characterised by mysteries and uncertainties. There are a lot of things you will pass through that has not even entered your heart. Whatever the case may be as you proceed in destiny, the best resolution to make in every issue of life is to seek God.

Lord! I receive the grace to seek You in all situations of life in Jesus name. Amen!

Life is given to serve God and do His will. A man has not come into the perfect will of God for his life until he submits himself to God and walk in His ways. As long as we live, it is the expectation of God that we align our lives according to His will.

Each time you discover that your ways are not right with God or it comes to your subconsciousness that you are falling short of God's requirement in certain areas of life it is expected of you to repent and change your ways to get right with God. The life we have today gives us an opportunity to walk with God.

If there is any time to key into the precious plan of God for your life by surrendering your life absolutely to His will, it is now. Don't procrastinate the day of salvation. It is time to walk with God and restitute your ways before Him.

Life will not always go one way all the time. It is sinusoidal (up and down) in nature. To think things will always be in a certain direction all the time is to live in disappointment. When things turn out well for you in various aspect of life it is not a right but a privilege.

In 2 Sam 18, King David's servants told him not to go to war with them putting into consideration that they might lose the battle. Don't go on in life with false faith. The real faith demands standing with God and believing His word irrespective of what happens.

God will not but allow us to go through a different phase of life to have a clear understanding of what life is truly all about and to be a man with a balance orientation about life.

The Lord is not ignorant of what you've been through in the journey of destiny. His plan concerning your life is of peace and that you should have an expected end. No matter how bad or rough your journey has been in destiny, God can still make it up to you and bring all your good dreams to reality.

In the calendar of God, there are various time and season. It is not in His plan that all your days will be filled with sorrow. He is ready to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified. (Isa 61:3).

With man, it may appear impossible but with God all things are possible. You need to keep trusting and praying to God to make up for every blessing you have missed and afflictions you have suffered.

You must not but always ask for the mercy of God in all ramification of life. No matter what becomes the lot of a man in destiny, it doesn't change God from being who He is. He has been God before us and He will be even after us. Also, the fact that a man does not live up to God's expectations for his life does it change the fact that his days on earth is limited.

As much as it God's desire that you enjoy and fulfil your purpose and mandate in life, you must always ask for His mercy. The beauty of life will never be known until God have mercy on a man. Some men have strength, wisdom, intellect, connections, insight, opportunities, money, material possession of life but all these couldn't measure up to the fulfilment their soul desires. In every quest to become who God wants you to be, you must seek His mercy!!!

In the light of his word. Hence, as you proceed in destiny, you must be mindful of the fact that there's no other way to be happy in Jesus and live with the assurance of eternity with God than to walk in obedience.

Keep your faith alive with regards to the promises of God for your life. Submit your life to His principles so that your life will be in agreement with what He is doing and will do on earth. Continue to live having the orientation that your latter days will be great.

It is proper to flee from sin and all appearance of evil but can you flee from sin when it comes at you even in private when no one is around or watching? Will you flee from yourself when arrows/demons of lust, evil thoughts, malice, bitterness, fault-finding and etecetera are fired/sent against you?
There is a time to FLEE from sin and there is a time to RESIST unto blood the striving against sin. RESIST the devil and he will flee. (2 Tim. 2:22, 1 Thess. 5:23, Heb. 12:4, James 4:7)

You shouldn't just say the "only" antidote to sin or to keep from sin is this/that.
The "Titanic" blood of Jesus is an "antidote" to sin, that is after you have been washed in the blood of the Lamb spiritually but if you become careless/lukewarm, sin will overcome/defile you again before you know it.

Sin is not only a wrong action or an inaction (missing the mark, omission or commission) but also uncleanness in the sight of God (defilement, pollution).

The "antidotes" to sin after being born again are:
1) The blood of Jesus (1 John 1:7)
2) The grace of God (Rom. 6:14)
3) The Holy Spirit/Christ/the Word dwelling in us and we in him (1 John 3:6-9, 1 Cor. 6:16)
4) Watchfulness and prayerfulness (Matt. 26:41)
4) Holiness, righteousness and obedience to the will of God through right knowledge (1 Cor. 6:17, Hosea 4:6-10)
5) Love [walking in the Spirit for the fruit of the Spirit is love] (Prov. 10:12, Gal. 5:14,16,18, 25, Col. 3:14, 1 Pet. 4:8 )

I would not conclude that this list of "antidotes" is exhaustive. God knows.

Sin is not only something from the outside to flee from, there is the Adamic nature within the flesh (until we are translated at the Rapture) and temptations from the evil ones even in our closets. We all need to draw close to God whose name is Holy and walk with Him, and by that we draw away from sin, external and internal, visible and invisible. Amen.

Focus: The Only Antidote for Sin

The only way to be free from sin is to flee from it. It only takes a man who has been helped of God through the work of the cross to flee from sin!!!

There is no immunity against sin. There is no anointing that can prevent a man from sinning. The man who will not sin is the one who flees from sin. Irrespective of who you are and how great and long God has been using you, you are not permitted to toil with sin but to flee from it.

Each time you flee from sin you will escape from it. Joseph flees when he was tempted and sin did not catch up with him. You don't stand in front of sin to resist it. The way to resist it is to flee from it. You must be careful and seek God to help you to flee each time sin is crouching at the door. As you flee from sin, you are to pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace as God's children.

Each time you find yourself between two decision; either to obey God or disobey Him; the best choice no matter what it will cost you is to obey God. To disobey God is to reject the life He wants to give you. The way of Lord prevails way of wisdom. Hence, neglecting the word of God by acting in disobedience is the beginning of foolishness.

Gehazi, Achan and King Saul couldn't avert the consequence of their disobedience by making a sacrifice. People will continue to read about their foolishness from generation to generation. I have come to know that there is no other way to hide your madness and foolishness than to obey God.

What beautifies the lives of Joseph, Daniel and 3 Hebrews was their intense desire to obey God. You too must choose to obey God. A man will not have the life God wants to give until obedience to God becomes his only focus for living.

The evil one will not but always promises to give the glory of this world but not without an option of bowing to him.

Each time you sin in every quest to achieve something, you are actually bowing to the devil. At every critical junction of choice, you will be required to choose between life and death. A decision to sin is a decision to abort your destiny under God. There is nothing you get in this life that worth losing your soul to the devil. This is because your soul is your soul every other thing around your life returns to dust.

When the life of a man is based on fraud his future will be fraudulent. Men who used forged certificate or the one achieved through malpractice and those who build their houses, send their children to school and achieved a lot of things using stolen fund have laid a faulty foundation. So also is men who build their estate or enterprise (ministry, school, business etc) using what belongs to others.

It is pity people no longer yield to sound doctrine of the word of God which depict, sanctification, restitution and absolute repentance. If whatever form a basis to your life such as your academic, marriage, career, ministry etc has an error; you are expected to go to the root for amendment.

God will never take responsibility for whatever you build on a faulty foundation; He is a jealous God who will never share His Glory with any man. The consequences of a faulty foundation are not always in the present but the future. This is because the features of your future depend on your foundation.

+ Is your life free from the guilt of a faulty foundation? Is there restitution you must make?

Lord! I receive the grace to love righteousness and build my life on the sure foundation of your word in Jesus name. Amen!!!

No man accept an unrighteous offer that did not cost him the life God wants to give him. Be mindful of the fact that you can never have peace or sense of fulfilment until you love righteousness and obey God in your pursuit.

All the effort Gehazi and Achan made to get what they got was a fruitless one that did more harm to them. The temptation of Joseph was a bait to keep him enslaved for life. To settle for unrighteous gains at any level of life is to settle for less and to reject the life God wants to give. Wait upon God for his blessing in every aspect of your life!!!

Most of our experiences and the battle we face in life is a battle against our destiny. God is using every situation around you to place you on the path of destiny. Don't consider it strange when your plans are disrupted and you are forced.
to do what and go where was never in your plans. Job woke up on a certain day and lost everything he had before the sunset.

Joseph left home to seek for the welfare of his brother but eventually found himself as a slave in Egypt within a short time. The issues around his life led him to the place of his destiny. The fact is that we know nothing about our future and what will be our lot in the next moment calls for the need to trust God and hold Him on His word that all will be well with us as He leads us through the journey of destiny!

What do you think you know about your destiny?
