There is a significant relationship between love and respect; wherever there is true love there is honour and respect. Maturity begins when you treat men with honour not because of who they are but because there is a measure of God in them!!!

The way you see men and treat them determines if you are a man of honour or not. Every man who comes to you goes away with an orientation of your personality. There will be a limit to what your influence and impact will be in the lives of men if you have not grown in the love of Christ to accept them for who they are and people who can change to reveal the Glory of God in great dimension.

Several people have lost a promising job, husband, wife, covenant helper, defendant, friend, parent, guardian because they exhibited bad character in looking down on people who appeared not to be relevant or beneficial to their lives.

All men who place great value in honouring God don't look down on men. Don't honour men based on what they have done for you or can do for you, their position, power and personality, charisma and wonderful appearance but honour all men because they are deliberate creations of God.

+ Do you honour God in the lives of men?

Lord! I receive the grace to be always humble and lowly in my heart to honour God in the lives of men in Jesus name. Amen!!!

The experiences we have had so far in various aspect of life tends to configure our mind and pattern it in a certain manner which sometimes tends to limit the ability of God in our lives. Whatever the case may be with you, the fact remains that God is able and no situation of life can limit what He wants to do.

You are required to strive to meet up with God's expectation as far as believing Him is concerned and never expect Him to come to your level. There is no problem unsolvable for God and there is no limit to what he can do in the lives of those who trust in Him.

Any kind of suggestion that there is help elsewhere apart from God is not of Him. He can handle the situation of our lives, church and nation. His thought for us is far above what we are thinking and even the prayers we offer to Him. Let's cooperate with Him to do His good pleasure in our lives.

God is the master planner of our lives and destiny; hence, we must look up to Him for every issue in our lives. The joy of living in Christ Jesus is the testimony of the fact that your blessing comes from the Lord and in His time. It is in His time that His Glory will be revealed for Him alone. Every man that desires the Glory of God must wait upon Him to do His good pleasure. Your life is beautiful when every event of your life follows divine order!!!

When God is set to bring a man to limelight He allows everything to fall into its rightful place. The case of your life may be like that of the Israelites; the Lord is not ignorant of what you have suffered so far.

Wait properly on God and be faithful to Him. Don't allow the situation of your life to make you give up the promises of God. Persevere and ensure you do not fail in His expectation for your life. The time of your remembrance may be nearer than you think!

One of those things required for Lazarus to come back to life is the removal of the stone used to cover the tomb where he was placed. The same scenario played out at the resurrection of the Lord Jesus; the stone was rolled away. The major issues in the hearts of the women who went to the tomb of Jesus to anoint his body were: "Who will roll the stone? "

We go on in the journey of destiny asking the same question in every facet of life. There is a need to critically evaluate and examine our lives to see if there is a stone the Lord placed in our capacity to remove. God can do all things but will not do all things (Isaiah 59:1).

Many are looking for wonderful miracles but chooses not to remove the stones. The stones of faithlessness, bitterness, misunderstanding, laziness, unfaithfulness, conspiracy against the leaders, condemnation, envy, fault findings in the lives of men and every work of the flesh must be removed. Until these stones are removed the required success, victory and breakthrough will not be experienced!

You will always have to choose between life and death at every point in time. If you choose life you will live and if you choose death you will die. You cannot choose to live contrary to God's plan for your life and expect to have the life God wants to give you. The choices the likes of Joseph, David, Daniel etc. made resulted into what their lives turned out to be.

It is not enough that God have wonderful plans for a man, every man has an exclusive right to choose whatever he wants. You must watch your thoughts and what you choose to do at every point in time because they will become your destiny. The wife a particular man now detest and earnestly want to put away was his favourite choice in the past. The same also applies to that career, job, ministry, friend you made your choice in the past.

Life is a temporary assignment. Where you will spend your eternity will be determined by what you chose to do with your life today. As you proceed in destiny be mindful of the fact that you are defining your future with your decisions today.

The Lord at various times has succeeded in putting our lives to test in various aspect of life. He will not but test us with money, men/women, food, position, material possessions, comfort/hardship. Our reactions when tested in these will be noted. As a result of this, He knows the aspect of life that you cannot be trusted.

He knows how far you can go as far as the faith you claim to have is concerned. He knows the limit of your faithfulness, commitment and righteousness.

The time has come for you to evaluate your life and decide to live for Him. Men can underestimate what you can do due to the nature of your appearance, spiritual languages and company you keep but not God.

Men are not to be judged by the way they look or their activities but by what God knows about them. You must begin to walk on your weakness before it leads you into destruction.

Jesus Christ in His teachings asked two critical questions. He asked; "What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his soul?" He also asked, "What will a man give in exchange for his soul?"
This question is relevant even in this present age because there are several men with an unbridled thirst for riches and worldly pleasure. These men are ready to do just anything to have their desire met.

The evil one will always require your soul in exchange for whatever you desire from Him. All men who bow to the devil in their quest for riches and worldly possession of life will end up becoming a double loser; because what they acquired on earth will be useless in eternity while their soul is lost. We will not but always find ourselves under the pressure of sin, compromise and desire for worldly pleasure. In your quest to bet better be mindful of the question God is asking you "What will be your gain and what can you give in exchange for your soul?"

When a man dies, his job, money, possessions, empire, career, title, attainment, will become useless to him as he embarks on a journey to eternity. He will only be at the mercy of the one he gave his soul. Hence, Jesus asked: what will your profit be even if you are given the whole world? Hence, there will always be a struggle over your soul because it is priceless. The one you live to give your soul defines your eternity.

Every man created by God lives with the consciousness of getting something. Many times when the Lord wants to draw men to himself He makes promises. To Abraham, He said: I will make you the father of nations. Jesus to His disciples: I will make you fishers of men. Hence, when we run to and fro we are all aiming at a goal.

The fact that you are still a living soul establishes the fact that God still kept you in the game of destiny; this implies that much is still expected of you. The rule of the game is that you keep winning when you keep aiming at the goal and that you are only allowed to be either offensive or defensive but not to sleep in the journey.

In the game you are likely to either suffer setbacks or make progressive achievement; whichever way, keep pressing towards the goal till the end be it in your marriage, career, academics, ministry and pilgrimage to eternity. If the end has not come it is not over until it is over.

Although we are required to represent God in various aspect of life we are not expected to act as if we are the one who created and have the final say over the lives of men.

As a human, we see things in life from a different perspective. It could be from our knowledge through what we were told or taught, what we read from books, what we saw in the lives of men around us and more importantly our experience. Whatever the case may be; "Let God be true and every man a liar" (Rom 3:4)

It is very wrong to expect a child to behave like an adult. God will never condemn a child from behaving like one even though His ultimate expectation over such a child is that he should grow to maturity (1cor 13:9-11). In your relationship with men, you must be careful to deal with them with understanding.

Jesus Christ on the cross of calvary prayed on behalf of those who crucified Him. He said, "Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing". He did not condemn them because He knew they didn't know what they were doing.

Irrespective of the behaviour of men around you; don't take the place of God in their lives. Don't be too quick to judge them because of the way they appear but rather see them as men who can improve to get better in every situation.

+In what way are you playing God?

Lord! I receive the grace to see men the way you see them in Jesus name. Amen!

No man takes a walk in destiny without being influenced by a counsel. A man who walks in the counsel of the ungodly will stand in the path of sinners and sit in the seat of sinners!!!

Each time the Lord is set to help a man or a nation what he does is that He makes His counsel available. At every point in time in every situation of life both godly and ungodly counsel will be presented to you. If you must become blessed of the Lord you must not yield yourself to the counsel of the ungodly.

You can be walking and working with believers and still walk and work in ungodly counsel. You can be alone and still walk in the path of sinners. Yielding to ungodly counsel is what leads a man to the path of sinners. Whatever counsel presented to you that is contrary to the will of God can never help your life but rather push you to the pathway of destruction.

+ Whose counsel do you live to obey?

Lord! Help me never to walk and work under the influence of ungodly counsel in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Two paths will always be presented to you in every situation of life. You will be required to walk in at least one of them at every point in time. The narrow and the wide path. The way to life is narrow because it is precise and specific.

The narrow way was the path people like Joseph, Daniel and the three Hebrews took; they had options, but they decided to follow God when it was extremely difficult. The aftermath of the choice they made depicted wisdom.

Everything coming your way tends to validate if you will still walk the narrow way. It is the Highway of Holiness which gives no room to iniquity. The path you are taking daily based on your choice will determine what your end will be.

In the journey of destiny; what you say matters a lot. You must be resolute about what you accept and desire with respect to the faith you have in God.

The Lord is taking note of every minute details of our lives and He is very much interested in our character based on our reaction towards various challenges of life. Therefore, what comes out from your mouth can also influence what the Lord will do for you.

Every man who truly has faith in God is very optimistic about the word and the workings of God in his life even if every situation around proves otherwise. Don't ever admit negative things into your life. Even when it appears as if a situation is eating you up; if you must say something; say "All is well"

The Israelites who were sent to spy the promised land came back with a report about the Land. Only Caleb and Joshua were optimistic of possessing the land and these were the only people who made it there among the spies. The other men and those who cried in agreement with the fact that they could not possess the land because the occupants were giant did not also make it.

Be mindful of the word you say, share and believe about yourself.

Lord! I renounce every negative word spoken into my destiny in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Focus: When you give to Caesar

WORD FOR TODAY
Do not withhold what belongs to Caesar even as you honour God by giving to Him what He requires from you. It is a sin to give Caesar what belongs to him in an act which disobeys and dishonours God!!!

We dishonour God each we disobey him. We make nonsense of His precious plan for us each time we walk and work on the pathway of dishonour through disobedience. As you proceed in destiny you will not but always come in contact will several Caesars. Be careful not to dishonour God when settling the Caesar that comes your way.

Many people have misinterpreted giving what belongs to Caesar as a way to buy your way in an unrighteous way to achieve something meaningful in life. This is not so. A Caesar can be a government who require taxes and other dues for the services it renders. It can also be an employer who requires your service for a certain amount of money based on certain agreement or your employee who expects you to pay for the services rendered to you.

Similarly, Caesar can also be a health issue that requires urgent medical attention, academic issues that requires your commitment and dedication or even marital issues that requires your love and care.

Try as much as possible not to be careless with your responsibility to Caesar as the case may apply to you at every point in time.

+ In what manner do you give Caesar?

One of those things that preoccupy our struggles in the land of the living is space for fruitfulness. We seek for ministerial fulfilment, academic performance, admission into the higher institution of learning. We seek for jobs, appointments, life partner and many other good things of life.

You need space, opportunity and grace to fulfil your heart desire and your God-given mandate. Several dreams have been aborted due to various life's opposition. The plans of many became thwarted because grace and space were not made available.

When the devil attacks a man, he hinders him from getting to his Rehoboth. There are some things your life will not deliver if rooms are not created. In this season, the Lord will make a room for you according to His will in every aspect of your desire and fruitfulness will be your experience in Jesus name!

+ Is there a desire, dream or vision still waiting for fulfilment?

Lord! I receive the grace to advance into my Rehoboth in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Every word of God presented to you is the cord of discipline meant to reveal God's will to you and shape your life into His divine plan and purpose for you. The temptation you will not but always face is the one that will suggest that you detach yourself from the cord of the discipline of the Lord. It is this cord that prevented Joseph from sleeping with Potiphar's wife. It also prevented David from killing Saul, Daniel from eating the king's meat and the 3 Hebrews from bowing to the golden image.

Samson removed this cord and became a laughing stock contrary to God's plan for his life. This same applies to the likes of Gehazi, Achan, Esau, Dinah the daughter of Jacob, and King Saul. When a man binds the cord of discipline of the Lord to himself, he will surely do well even in the secret; where no man will be around to question his deeds.

There is a beast in every man who always wants to be free. Each time it wants to manifest, the first target is to remove the cord of discipline. Every attempt to remove the cord of disciple to misbehave is an attempt to reject the life God wants to give you. Let the word of God abides in heart and submit yourself always to obey it and honour God in all you do.

The major issue about what we pass through is not our ordeal but standing straight and abiding in the will of God while in them. As we read through the scripture about the likes of Abraham, Job, Hannah, David etc., we discovered that the ordeal in their lives was within a limited time. What they passed through was actually what makes them unique. Grace will also be made available for you to overcome all your challenges if you will keep faith alive in God.

Most men of this generation focus more and have time for sin, pleasure, envy, greed, the position of power and material things of this life. Imagine a man who embarks on a business trip but found himself at the eternal shore unprepared because death came unannounced. No matter how busy you are and what you use your life to do; be mindful of the fact that eternity is a must. Hence, we must live to honour God and fulfil our mandate in the land of the living. We must not rule out the possibility of responding to the call to eternity as we go about our daily activities.

There is no wisdom in walking and working in disobedience to God's instructions. This applies to men whom God placed over various affairs of life as leaders. Any suggestions prompting you to disobey authority tends to rob you of your freedom and relevance. You can't prevail over authority while in disobedience. The only way to it is obedience.

A man under an authority is accountable to it. Doing contrary to the order given by a leader is way to dishonour such; whoever does that will not be innocent. Every true wise man does not live in disobedience to both God's instruction and the order of a constituted authority.

The experience men had in various issues has proven the fact that there will always be a way which will seem right but lead to destruction. Those who met their Waterloo as a result of their choices in business, career, academics, marriage and ministry most of the time never knew that things will turn out to be what it is. In the beginning, the path they chose seems right.

Let the word of God; who rules in all affairs of men and know the end from the beginning; guide you in all your ways. If you are ignorant of what will happen in the next moment; then your knowledge is too shallow to lead you through the journey of destiny.

The word of God makes it clear to us that the just shall live by faith. (Heb 10:38). A man will not survive any issue that can result in either heartbreak or depression if he lacks faith. We will be faced with several issues of life that will be beyond us in terms of both resources and experience.

One thing we must know, irrespective of who we think we are, is that: God decides what happen to us in every issue. He may decide to save or not. There is nothing difficult for God to do but He will not do all things. He answers prayers but not all prayers will be answered.

You must honour God as the creator who did not take permission before creating or making you who you are. The fact that He may not deliver a man does not change the fact that He is God. The true heart of worship is believing and living with the orientation that God is God and might to save, irrespective of what men feel or experience in every situation of life.

+ What will you do if God decides not to deliver you?

Sin is a reproach. Only righteousness brings honour. A man becomes an object of reproach each time he chooses not to behold Christ Jesus to walk in His ways. In every life's situation be mindful of the fact that your integrity is at stake.


your lifestyle people know if you are truly a child of God; if you can sell your birthright for anything, if you can walk in darkness, if you can support any kind of malpractices, if you love righteousness and holiness, if you can hold on to your faith in the midst of intense pressure and cares of this life.

Integrity will be missing in the lives of men in whom the Holy Spirit does not find expression. Paul said: "For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of men." (2 Cor 8:21). In this perverse world, you must also try all you can to do what is right both in the sight of God and man. This is the only way you will avoid dragging the name of God in the mud and a stumbling block to those who want to serve God.

Lord! Express your nature in me. May I never be a curse in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Nothing is complete in life; at best, we only move from a level to another. Nothing will ever be complete with us as humans because our perfection is in God and your life is a work in progress in His hands.

The Lord deals with men according to a certain measure of Grace at every point in time. No matter how great your achievements in every facet of life might have been, be mindful of the fact that the best is yet to come. You still need to abide in God and continue to humble yourself before Him and men even as you allow Him to perfect that which concerns you.

Don't celebrate your achievements, problems and shortcomings; try as much as possible to present them to the merciful God in prayers in the manner the psalmist in our text did. Your life can be better than what it is at present in all aspect by His mercy. The fact that you are still living is proof that your best is yet to come!

Be mindful of the fact that there is something God wants to use your life to achieve in this generation. The life of the likes of Joseph, Abraham, David and Daniel passed certain messages to us based on their unique experiences.

Not all men can offer the type of Sacrifice Abel offered unto God. Not all men can be obedient to God the Father like Christ did, not all men can have the faith of Abraham, not all men can persevere and remain faithful to God like Job. These are the major reason a man's life should not be compared with others. We are created uniquely to fulfil a unique purpose and the level of our walk with God differs.

The nature of a man is a type that becomes discouraged or dejected whenever he or she feels disadvantaged in various aspects of life. This usually occurs when a man examines himself in the mirror of another person who appears to better in certain as of life. You will not value what God has done for nor how he created you until you appreciate him and live with the orientation that you are fearfully and wonderfully made.

You must begin to see yourself in the mirror of God's creation; created uniquely to fulfil definite divine purpose. There is something in you that someone somewhere is earnestly craving for, in the manner you are also craving for something another man has. Hence, do not lose sight of the fact that you are a special creation of God. In all situations, endeavour to thank God for your life!!!
