No man is useless and no one is good in all aspect of life. You are missing it each time you think you are better than someone. Never underrate the grace of God in the life of any man you come in contact with even when they appear as if they are nobody. Having money is different from having wisdom, intellect, initiatives, love, blessing, foresight, beauty, good life, joy and peace of mind.

Many think if they could just get something then their lives will be better. You must learn how to look inward to see both your strength and weaknesses. The cloth, title, authority, position, wealth and influence of a man most of the time cover his weakness. Every man created by God will naturally show his glory but hide weakness. Keep asking for grace and do not focus on the frantic race of comparison. Fulfil your mandate and make an indelible mark in the sand of time.

It is not a crime to be weak at a point in time. There is no man without a peculiar weakness in various aspect of life. However, we are not expected to give up on improving ourselves in the aspect of our weaknesses. Life gives every man a fair chance to grow and improve. Therefore, live your entire life having the orientation that your weakness can turn to strength because we have a God who specializes in giving power to the weak.

There are times when some issues can be handled without any hurdles. When a situation has not gotten out of hand; it makes an allowance for a solution. Now that you still have control over various shortcomings of your life, be humble enough to seek the help of God to deal with it.

If there is a sin eating you up and depriving you the liberty you have in God, it is time to confess and forsake them. Unclothe yourself and seek help in the appropriate quarters before they disgrace you. Don't be too big to acknowledge your weaknesses before God and men who can help you.

+ What are you doing to improve in every aspect of your weaknesses?

Lord! Give me strength in every area of my weaknesses in Jesus name. Amen!

In the garden of Eden, the devil deceived Eve into believing that being wise in one eye is better than obeying God's instructions. The aftermath was that evil was introduced into their lives. Today, the devil is still in the business of making people take a decision without heeding to God's instructions.

The suggestion of the devil to people today is that they don't need to seek God's will to know who to marry, partner with in business, the career to chose, the location to live or site an enterprise etc. but to shine their eyes and use common sense. Whatever suggestion that appears as wisdom that prompts a man to disobey God's principles will end up bringing evil and destruction to him. Honour God with your decision and do not be wise in your own eyes.

The best way to honour God is by obeying his words. The only way to trust Him is to walk and work according to His words. The best risk to take is that of trusting your life to God even when it appears as if doing so is not promising. We must be mindful of the fact that God is the only one who is called Alpha and the Omega because He knows the end from the beginning.

No matter how promising a path you are about to take appears to be; it is absolutely a path that leads to death and foolishness if it is contrary to God's plan for your life. God designed we human to know in part at a point in time issues that has to do with our destiny. Hence, we have to live our lives one day at a time and go on in destiny in obedience to God.

+ Do you acknowledge God in all your ways?

Lord! I will obey your words and acknowledge you in all my ways in Jesus name. Amen!!!

The word of the Lord made available for you on daily basis is meant to uphold you and keep you from falling. We can see this in the instructions God gave Adam. He would have not fell if he had harkened to the instruction and live by it. Hence, obedience to God's instructions to you is critical to your safety and stamina in the battle of life as you proceed in destiny.

The simple strategy of the devil to ensure that you fall is to hinder you from obeying the instructions of God to you. One thing that is certain is that when a man continues to live in disobedience, he cannot last and will eventually become the shadow of God's plan for him. You can never fall whenever you are ready to obey God at all cost. We find ourselves at the risk of falling when we begin to consider disobeying God.

As long as we live, we will be faced with several issues of life. You must be mindful of the fact that as you advance further in destiny so will the issues you will be having. We must brace up as we proceed in destiny because several issues of life await us. We are expected to move from strength to strength, victory to victory and glory to glory. All these cannot happen with overcoming issues of life.

Don't stop serving God because you have a problem nor give up on your dreams because of various hurdles of life. The way to victory is to keep serving and appreciating God for the grace you have while focusing on achieving your good dreams and the fulfilment of God's promises for you. When you fail to celebrate and place focus on the issues in your life they lose their influence in your life and they would leave unannounced.

+ What is your disposition to various issues of life? Are you offended and have resolved to stop serving God because of the issues in your life?

His thought over you despite all you've been through is of peace and not of evil; that you may have an expected end. The fact that you are still living is a proof of His interest in your life and that your life is a work in progress in hands of the Lord. Believe in your dreams and God's promises for your life. Appreciate Him and move on with great confidence in the Lord that He will perfect that which concerns you.

The glory of the world always comes with the fear of losing it. Hence, men run here and there to get more things for themselves. However, in the course of trying to get the good things of life at all cost, many are caught in the wind of deceitfulness of riches.

Many lost their faith, commitment and consecration in God on the account of making ends meets. Any man who doesn't want to miss out in God's plan and purpose must look up to God for help so as not to fall into temptation when he begins to experience an increase in every aspect of life. In principle, the more the things you gather around yourself the more your worries over them.

Submit yourself always to God and know that your sufficiency is in God alone. Contentment in life begins with accepting the will of God for your life irrespective of your status and position. It also entails pursuing only what God wants you to pursue as well as associating with only those He wants you to associate with.

Joshua at a point in destiny made an open declaration that he will serve God with his household. This is the decision you must always make at every point in time. The devil will always come after you and seek to ensure that you denounce serving God and doing His will. You are expected to reaffirm the fact that you have decided to serve God.

Our primary assignment in this life is to serve God and fulfil the purpose of our creation. He is the one before us and He will be after us. He rules in all affairs of men. With the little time spent this year; some men who rejoiced witnessing the year are presently no more. They left all they worked for, their aspirations has come to an end to face eternity forever.

The fact that life can come to an end unannounced calls for the need to serve God. As you proceed in destiny be resolute in your decision to serve God!!!

You must try to play your part in every bid to become better in destiny by cooperating with God to do His good pleasure in your life.

In every quest for help, joy and progress; there will always be an offer from the devil that will demand that you fall in a compromise of your faith. Don't sacrifice the original plan of God for you on the altar of sin and compromise. Desire only what God will do for you. Be mindful of the fact that the joy, blessing, honour, healing that God did not give you can never have.

Satan asked Jesus to fall and serve him in exchange for the worldly possession he presented to him, but the Lord rebuked and put him in the place he should be. There will be several cases of instruction to fall and serve the devil. You will not be able to resist him until you put everything you desire and what you want to become behind you.

God's will for you is for you to do His will in all your pursuit and let Him allow His goodness and mercy to follow you (Ps. 23:6). There is no doubt in the fact that you need money, promotion, good health, job, peace of mind, children, husband/wife and material possession of life but God doesn't want these things to be the driving force of your life but rather as an addition that follows you as you seek His kingdom and righteousness and walk in the pathway of righteousness (Matt 6:33).

When a man dies, the truth is that most of what he worries about will be behind him. Such will be at the risk of finding a place in God's presence if worldly possessions of life are before him. You will do well and please God when your focus and what comes first in your thinking is pleasing God.

+ What do you place before you? What must you achieve this year?

Lord! Help me to live to please you and make your will a priority in all my pursuit in Jesus name. Amen!!!

The choice of your friend, dressing, lifestyle, spouse, approach to things and where you go are factors that determine the life you choose for yourself. However, true joy, happiness and fulfilment can only happen when you choose the life God wants to give you because His plans for you is to ensure you have an expected end. Be mindful of the fact that no matter how smart or fast you think you can run; you can't outsmart nor outrun God.

There is no doubt in the fact that you have knowledge, money, connection, good job, promising career and technical know-how in whatever you do. Life has proven to us with practical experience in the previous years that a single issue of life can make all the aforementioned qualities to be irrelevant.

In this life, I have come to know that there are problems that money, human wisdom, connections and technical know-how cannot solve. Situation that will tend to shake you and your good dreams will not but sometimes come; it is only God that will see you through. Hence, put your trust only in God and let Him have your back in every situation of life.

To trust in the Lord means to live knowing that you need His help and must obey Him to live successfully and fulfil your days.

Lord! Without you there is nothing I am; Continue to have my back in every situation of life in Jesus name. Amen!!!

We cannot but thank God for the mercy that brought us this far. The previous year was a unique one which was characterised by several mysteries that no man can explain. What we saw happen to men who appeared to be strong; they have influence, money, power and connection with people in high places but all these did not save them from the pandemic and death.

Being alive today is a testimony to the fact that it was God that helped you and brought you this far. Despite all you passed through the grace of God sustained you. You may not have plenty of money and material possessions of life but the fact that you still live is an indication that there is no limit to what God can do in your life.

What God has done for you so far is a piece of evidence that with Him and by His grace you will scale through all hurdles of life and get to the best level of His will for your life. Put your trust alone in God and allow Him to help you as you proceed into the new year.

When the prophet Samuel discovered that he will no longer lead the Israelites; he saw a need to allow them to evaluate both his life and leadership style. By the virtue of the people's evaluation; he set a good record of integrity and righteousness. There is a need for you to evaluate your life to see what your scorecard will be by both human and God's standard.

Despite the privilege of living till date can you boldly say the Lord is well pleased with you? Are you living in obedience or disobedience to God's word? What role did you play in either blessing or destroying people's life, marriage, academics, career and ministry? Do you live up to God's expectation? Do you think you made significant progress in all ramification of life? Are you fulfilling the purpose of your existence?

+ What will God and humanity miss if He decides to stop our existence any time from now?

Lord! Give me a light that I may see the clear picture of what my life represents in your presence and give me the grace to change and be who you want me to be in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Willingness and cheerfulness from the heart of worship is the ultimate quality God expects from every act of giving. Whatever you give grudgingly and after being motived or pressurized is not acceptable to God. So also whatever you give to satisfy the sinful nature. The acceptability of your offering to God begins when you see it as a great privilege.

Grace in a man's heart will help him to see giving as a privilege. Such will not be ashamed to give anything no matter how small. The ultimate giving is the release of your life selflessly in service to God and the brethren.

This is what that grace is all about. It is about making others rich even if we become poor. The issue in giving is grace, not a show. The souls of men are much more important and that is the greatest offering you can offer to God.

Focus: The way to Give

WORD FOR TODAY
Giving at any level of life under God must be done willingly, cheerfully and tirelessly. It is only a quality offering or gift that comes from a willing heart and given cheerfully that will be rewarded by God!!!

Every giving must be done with a heart of worship and must be seen as a privilege. In giving to God or men, willingness far outweighs the quantity of your seed or giving. This foundation of willingness must be in place for your giving to be acceptable by God.

If your offering is not given willingly, then you can't be cheerful giving it. And a lack of cheerfulness in giving can turn your blessings into a curse as it was written in (Deut 28:47-48).

Your giving must also be tireless. Paul admonishes us to not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap if we faint not (Gal 6:9). Hence, it not about running fast, having strength, being skilful or educated alone but being favoured by the virtue of God's mercy. The effort a man put in place in whatever he does is not enough to give him the life he truly desires for himself. The beauty of life can only be experienced when God have mercy on a man. As God's creation serving God you have the right to life and enjoy His goodness. However, having a right to something is different from having it; a man will possess what belongs to him when God have mercy on him.

Several wonderful people died this year but you are still alive not because you are careful, prayerful, smart, righteous or obedient to God's word but because God had mercy on you. Every man you see achieving great feat in the domain of their placement legitimately were not always the best people but men who received the mercy of God.

As you labour be mindful of the fact that you need favour through the mercy of God to excel. In this evil world, God must have mercy on you to overcome every issue associated with it. The birth of our Lord Jesus Christ remains a mystery to several men. They cannot understand the rationale behind why He is the son of God because it sounds so foolish to the carnal mind. To them, the puzzle remains " How can this be?" Mary the mother of Jesus asked the same question when he considered the message delivered to her from the human point of view.

The flesh can neither understand nor explain the workings of the Lord through the Holy Spirit. When the word of the Lord comes to you; your responsibility is to believe even when it appears unreasonable. You don't need to bother how it will be done because the Holy Spirit will bring it to pass. Even when life gives you undeniable evidence to disbelieve God's word be mindful of the fact that with God nothing shall be impossible.

The power of sin becomes impotent in the life of a man who confesses and forsakes it. A man will continue to be a slave to sin as long as he fails to expose the sin in his life. You must know that the greatest strategy of the devil is to make a man who sins to feel big and be ashamed to confess his sin.

Sin leads to inner defeat and prevents a man from having dominion. If there is a sin you have not confessed; it will hinder your prosperity spiritually and in all ramifications of life. A man who sins is already in a mess and such needs forgiveness. You must be humble enough to acknowledge your sins, confess and forsake them. This is the only way to cripple the power of sin.

Whatever makes a man weep will likely not to be forgotten by him. When the Lord is set to establish the feet of His people for a definite purpose; He takes them on a path that will teach them various phases of life and the efficacy of His power. When life's situations get out of hand we tend to weep. In life, we cannot but weep, however, there is an assurance that all our sorrows will turn to joy.

When Joseph was sold into Egypt as a slave and when he was implicated and thrown into prison; his heart will be sorrowful and possibly weep for several days. However, he later came to the understanding of the purpose of his ordeal and the goodwill of God towards him. Afterwards, he wept but at that time it was the tears of joy and fulfilment.

Submit yourself to God and learn from every process He takes you through; at the appointed time your weeping will turn to laughter.

+ Has the Lord at any time turned your weeping to laughter?

By all standard, the Grace of God has been made available to all mankind to be a reflection of His Glory. However, the more we behold Him and accept the principles He revealed unto us through Christ Jesus who is the author and the finisher of our faith the more of His Glory we will manifest.

Many people in the journey of faith started very well; making themselves available to walk with Him. But rather than becoming like Him they became familiar with His ways and neglected His precepts. Consequently, the initial glory they had turned to shame.

You also, must always present and make yourself available to behold Him in all situations and circumstances to ensure compliance to His image.

+ Do people see Jesus in you?

Help me Lord to behold and accept your precept in all situation, let not my glory turn to shame in Jesus name. Amen!!!

Your real personality is the life you live in the secret place. The victory you have in the secret place defines your strength and the perspective of your destiny. All men who failed to honour God in their secret place eventually failed in destiny. Your life in the secret is a replica of what your life will be in the future.

Gehazi secretly followed Naaman to collect gift but publicly became leprous. Achan secretly stole the accursed things but was publicly killed with his household. If these men settle the issues that result to their ordeal by honouring God in the secret they would have been saved. Joseph has the life God wants to give him because he honoured God in the secret place. The blessing, protection and the long life that God gives belongs to those who honour God in their secret place.

The seed you sow at every point in time goes a long way to predict what your life will turn out to be in days to come. What you do to the things that belong to others will give in a very clear term what will happen to things that belong to you. No matter what you feel about life the fact remains that God cannot be mocked.

Man attempts to mock God each time he thinks that he will not reap accordingly in multiple folds what he sows. Therefore, the Lord is admonishing you to sow the seed of love. It takes real sacrifice to sow the seed of love but that is what we must do. Mephibosheth a lame son Jonathan sat to dine with King David because his father sowed the seed of love.

No matter how wonderful the life of a man appears to be, the fact remains that there is a hereafter for every man created by God. To have a good life for yourself and children, write your name in gold and make a remarkable mark in the sand of time you must sow the seed of love.

A man still living sin has not surrendered his life to Christ Jesus and the spirit of God is not in him. What indicates that a man is regenerated in Christ Jesus is that he has departed from iniquity. It is not enough that a man bears Bible names, speak spiritual languages, mingle with believers and engage in various spiritual activities; you must depart from iniquities.

When the spirit that is in Christ resides in you; your life will be free from iniquities. The spirit that is in Christ does not steal, embezzle funds, fight, keep records of wrong, keep malice, envy, do evil, engage in deceit, lie, impassionate, slander nor exhibit any works of the flesh. Hence, the people of God are those who exhibit the attribute of Christ. In the end time where iniquity abounds, you are expected to depart from iniquity.

Irrespective of what you believe, the fact remains that the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

Are you a boss, Pastor, Deacon, Elder, Evangelist, Missionary, General Overseer, Prophet or holding any spiritual position? You are a sinner each time you sin. As you live your everyday life be mindful of the fact that God is not a respecter of any person and that His verdict over every man who sins is death. Repeat now from your sins!

Every path a man takes that leads him to sin is a pathway of destruction. Every seat a man sit upon that makes him a sinner is a seat of destruction. Every choice a man makes to derail from God's will from his life presents him for destruction.

The way of destruction most of the time woo men with the benefits in it but blindfold them from the destruction at the dead end. Gehazi only saw the gift of Naaman but did not see himself becoming leprous taking such a gift. Achan only saw the devoted things but did not see his death and that of his household. No matter how great the benefit a man derived from the pathway of sin; it does not change the fact that the wages of sin is death!

+ Do you walk on the pathway of righteousness?

Your vision in life determines your destination in every domain of life. You will only become whatever you see yourself becoming. The first principle of success in whatever you do is to have a clear vision of achieving it. When a man runs without a vision he subjects his life to chance and prepares himself to be a victim of life circumstances.

Apostle Paul makes it clear to us that he is not running without a purpose and a vision. He disciplined himself and aim towards achieving it. Hence, he fought a good fight and finished the race. Your vision is valid under God if what you see yourself becoming aligns with the life God wants to give you.

Your vision is good if it brings you into the centre of God's plan and purpose for you. Don't lose sight of what your life represent under God and what he wants your life to be. Give whatever it takes to have the life God wants you to have.
