Most of the time the heat of the challenges we face tends to make us to forget the fact that God had in the time past given us victory over several challenging issues of life. We are still in the same world with the same God. Problems are problems they only differ in magnitude but with the same characteristics.

God has so much interest in how much we can look back to see what he has done for us in saving and blessing us, healing, providing and directing our lives. Make a review of the records of God's wonderful act in your life and on that basis make a future reference over the present situation of your life; and the Lord as He is used to doing will surprise you one more time. Celebrate His goodness and worship Him in the beauty of His Holiness.

No man can bear the weight of being called God. The statistics of the world's population as at present exceeds 6 billion, yet no matter how small, every living soul takes something for survival everyday. The air never ceases to blow and change of season is consistent from ages to ages. If not God who can bear the weight of ruling the affairs of men.

If men were to be God; the air, rain, sunshine, plantations et al.; would have ceased to exist on the account of the sins of men. Even in the multitude of our sins; He has never failed to make good things available to us from generation to generation. From experience, there is no one like God; the merciful God who keeps making grace available for repentance, upliftment, promotion and fulfillment of purpose. Think deeply and passionately to appreciate God for who He is.

Every man will not but come to the point of facing his destiny all alone. Every support or help you use to enjoy will not last forever. There is a limit your friend, parent, spouse, pastor can go with you in destiny. This is because every man has a race exclusively set before Him. Make best use of every opportunity you have when God bring men on your path in destiny to help you; enjoy while it lasts.

Jesus in His hour of darkness was left alone; his disciples could not even watch on his behalf prior to His arrest. And when He was arrested they left Him. Those He healed, raised from the death, taught the word of God, fed with 5 bread and 2 fishes; were no where to be found.

What happened to Jesus here is a prototype of what will also happen to you in destiny. Don't be dejected on the account of people's behaviour to you in any situation you find yourself; they did not at any point in time promise to be with you in all situation.

When life gives you reasons to be worried, rejoice in the Lord your strength. The manner in which you forget your previous worries by the virtue of God's intervention so also you will forget those things troubling your life.

I have come to know by experience that as along as you live there will be something to worry about. Every life's achievement comes with responsibility which in turn results to something to worry about. The way to happiness is to believe what the Lord has said and move on in destiny with patience trusting only in the Lord. Avail yourself to listen and respond only to God's word to you and hope for the best in all situation of life!

A man has failed from the first principle if he thinks that he is who he is by the fact that he is worthy, smart, clever, hardworking or the most qualified. The fact that we cannot rule out the part you will play in becoming what God wants you to become does not change the fact that except the Lord builds a house, builders are building in vain (PS 127:1).

The summary of your life is that you are privileged. It was the mercy of God that brought you this far in the journey of destiny. If it is the Lord that brought you forth then you will always need Him as you proceed in destiny. Those men who eventually became a laughing stock and a shadow of what they used to be were men who failed at a point to acknowledge God who made them who they are.

Don't be too familiar with God to the point of taking Him for granted. King Saul spent years even after God had rejected Him as King. As you increase don't forget to keep acknowledging and honouring God with your life and everything you do!!!

No matter how powerful you think you are, God who is the most powerful and He has set a limit to your life and what you can do. Whatever space or position your are occupying; God has determined your limit. God gave men power but all power belongs to God. There is no man who will forever be powerful or that will be great forever.

Several men in various domain of life present themselves to be a Pharoah; such people would have done better if they remembered how Pharoah ended his life. We were told the story of a man who was very hostile to people each time they wanted to fetch water from his well. The day he died children stood on the well shouting "Baba come and chase us away from your well"

Also, at a retirement service of a man they presented to him a big binded book wrapped as a gift to him. When he opened it, he discovered that the book contained copies of the query letters he gave people while in service. When you have the capacity to help, forgive, love and show kindness to people do not hesitate to do so. In everything you do, be mindful of the fact that God will not but help His people.

What your future will turn out to be depends on how much you live in absolute obedience to God's principles. The foundation of your spiritual life, marriage, academics, career and various aspects of life defines your future. There is nothing God will achieve in the life of a man that will exceed his foundation.

Your foundation matters in whatever you do. The problem of a faulty foundation does not show immediately but in the future; just as the case of the building described in the text above. Don't struggle to maintain a faulty foundation; it is very costly.
Despite the fact that God can do all things the fact still remains that He will not do all things.

When it comes to the issue of foundation, any problem associated with it can only be solved at the foundational level (Ps 11:3). Place much priority on building your life on the sure foundation; the word of God through Christ Jesus in every domain of life.

The lives of the likes of Joseph, David, Moses, Abraham, Paul and Job have proven the fact that irrespective of the situation a man finds himself, God is able to help and bless him. Over and over in God's Word, we see those whose lives He most powerfully used, after they had endured many hardships and trials. Their lives were not defined by the suffering or testing, but by God alone, who moved through the trial and brought greater good, blessing, and favour from it all.

Several men out of their smartness, chose to maneuver their ways to achieve something for themselves.
Whichever way you choose to get whatever you want, be mindful of the fact that the wages of sin is death. We cannot but remember Gehazi who in a bid to get something for himself became leprous. Achan and his household in like manner died prematurely.

The way and counsel of the Lord represents wisdom. If you will not miss out in the original plan and package of God for your life, you must allow God to help you.

The God we serve is a merciful God. His Mercy is so great that it is enough to cover a life's time iniquity. His mercy is the reason behind the peace, prosperity and success wicked men appear to have. However, the preservation of wicked men is tailored towards destruction if they will not repent.

There is no other way a man can deceive himself other than boasting on the fact that despite his sins and wickedness things still appear to be working perfectly. Don't take the grace and mercy of God for granted. Despite being a merciful God, He is still a consuming fire. Do your best to serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

Eli said "If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the LORD, who shall intreat for him?" (1Sam 2:25). When God declares His judgement, it is always deadly and irreversible. Honour God with your life and decisions.

Money is good; it is an indispensable element of the human life on earth. We all need money to fulfill our purpose. However, we should never give too much power to money because money is a good servant but a bad master.

Never put money in place of God in your life. A man who lives just to make money lives for the wrong reason. Whoever loves money never has enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless. (Eccl. 5:10).

There are several good people in this life who would have made impact in the lives of men but eventually became laughing stock because of money. Many people lost their peace, integrity, purpose, mandate, message, fulfillment, hope for eternity with God because of it. Don't allow money to define your destiny or action but always decide on what money will do for you.

You cannot come in contact with God and still remain the same. It is not enough to present yourself and be available in response to God's call in any facet of life; the most important thing is to comply with Him and allow Him to workout His good pleasure in your life.

Every call of God is a call to a change of life. No matter who you are, you must always submit yourself in obeisance to God.

There are several sandals in the feet of men today which are not acceptable before God if a man must live to fulfill His purpose on earth. Thank God for your life and those wonderful things that has taken place in it. The fact still remains that the best is yet to come. God at various times will not but ensure you have a new experience.

This occasion in the life of Moses is symbolic and serve as a model for every man who really mean business with God. Old things must pass away no matter how good they appear to be.

Moses was instructed to put off his sandal not because it was bad but just because every assignment that has to do with God is sacred and holy. Therefore, he mustn't come near until the sandals of old life is taken off to give room to new life and new experience.

Generally in life, there is a reason for everything that happened in the lives of men. Everything happening to you is not an accident. If you are not consumed it is the Lord who took it upon Himself to show you His salvation.

Moses came to a turning point in His lifetime when he took a major decision to turn aside to see the great sight of workings of God in the burning bush. There is more of God's glory you need to know as you proceed on the pathway of destiny.

Therefore, for this to happen, you must turn aside majorly from the path you use to take, from what you use to do and what you know as well as your priority, focus, ambition to the great sight God is presenting to you.

Are you still living in sin? This message is for you! The fact that you are still living indicates the interest of God over your life. You have to turn aside to see the major reason why you have not been consumed despite all your sins. Irrespective of how busy the world may appear to be; if you must see the Glory of God you must always turn aside to discover what He has in stock for you at every point in time.

There are several men who shy away from what they know to be the truth because of personal or corporate gains. When a man knows the truth and chooses to do otherwise or fail to provide adequate support for it on the account of selfishness such a man is building a leprous mind.

The word of the Lord makes it clear in the passage above that misery as a result from affliction, suffering and intense mournfulness awaits those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter.

A type of mind that rejoices in the face of evil practices, deceit, cheat, corruption, unrighteousness and all forms of malpractices at any level of life is a leprous mind. A nation can never be great until her people have a mind devoid of leprosy and channel their strength to promote righteousness in all levels of life.

The benchmark of the life of a true child of God, is not of the world but of the will of God as it is in Heaven. No matter how beautiful the activities of men may be; it is not acceptable before God until it is in line with His will in Heaven!

It is not an understatement to say this earth is not your permanent home. Life has proven over the time that no matter how impactful and indispensable the life of a man may appear to be he cannot live forever. You cannot separate your life from what is happening in heaven.

Therefore, you have not prayed until you seek the Kingdom of God and aqsk for help to do the will of God as it is done in Heaven. The lifestyle which serves as a benchmark to determine your identity as a child of God is not of man but in heaven.

After the Lord Jesus submitted his life to be baptised by John as expected by the Father who is in heaven; a voice came from the same heaven saying "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." (Matthew 3:17).

Similarly, our Father who is in Heaven will not but always react to your lifestyle at every point in time. Therefore, you have not served God until you serve him just as it is expected of every man in heaven. You are not following until you followed based on the model presented in heaven.

There is no point in pleasing a man with whom you have a very short time. Try as much as possible to always please God just as it is expected in Heaven.

Focus: Don't waste your Consecration

WORD FOR TODAY
Whatever a man does in his service to God which makes provision for the works of the flesh is not acceptable to Him. The devil will not hinder a man from rendering various services but he will ensure that they are not acceptable!!!

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service." (Romans 12:1NKJV)

What makes your service to God a sacrifice indeed is that it fulfills His purpose and brings Glory to Him. Our service remains a fruitless effort and mere activity if God will not accept it. A service may appear good but may not be reasonable because it defiles holiness and righteousness.

God will only reward righteousness, holiness and purity. As far as God is concerned 99.99% obedience is a failure. No matter the percentage of your obedience to God you have not obeyed until your obedience is complete. Moses wasted 40 days and night consecration on the account of anger against the sin of the children of Israel (Exo 32:19). Samson wasted the investment of God over his life on the lap of Delilah(Judges 13).

Jesus said the consecration of several men who will claim to have preached, healed and performed miracles in the name of the Lord will be wasted because their services will be regarded as iniquity on the account of the work of the flesh (Matt 7:23). What is the essence of becoming a minister of God at any level of operation if the position you assume will make you a professional thief, manipulator, adulterer, son of perdition and a slave to mammon? You must come to the end of yourself and present yourself as a living sacrifice to be acceptable to God.

Focus: The Limit of the Human Strength

WORD FOR TODAY
There is a limit to what a man can do for himself and people around him. You have not known God enough until you have come to know and learn by experience that by strength no man can prevail!!

"He will guard the feet of His saints, But the wicked shall be silent in darkness. "For by strength no man shall prevail." (1 Samuel 2:9 NKJV)

Hannah came to an important conclusion by the virtue of her experience that by strength no man shall prevail. The implication of this is that; a man will not but fail if he depends on his strength and what he can do alone. Hence, by experience she knows what a man needs is not first and foremost his strength but God himself.

It was not recorded how long she has been trusting God for a child but we were told she attends shilloh yearly. A simple intervention of God put an end to her years of waiting. In like manner, No one could ever think that crya stone will be enough to put an end to Goliath who oppressed the Israelites for 40 days. An issue in the life of a man will only be simple when God is involved.

You need God's intervention above strength in every situation of life. You cannot become what the Lord does not approve you to become. Life has proven that several people rise up early to labour rigorously till late at night but end up eating the bread of sorrow (Ps 127:1-2). Acknowledge God and take solace in His strength in every bid to achieve something for yourself.

The weakness of our humanity is seen in the fact that there is a limit to what we can do for ourselves!!!

As we can see it happening around us, we will all surely die. Irrespective of your achievement so far in every facet of life, the fact still remains that you will leave that office, room, house, car, people that seems so dear to you and everything you ever worked for!

This is not to scare you but to remind you of your mortality. Take life simple and do your best to be a blessing in the lives of men. Whether you like it or not, people think about your personality in a certain way; and they will relate it to what your destination will be hereafter.

Today you have an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy in the land of the living. If this world is not your home; then you may be called to your home at any point in time. Try as much as possible to use your existence to please God: this is your primary assignment.

Focus: Rejoice in the Lord

WORD FOR TODAY
The best way to approach every unfortunate situation of life is to rejoice in God your Salvation. Keeping your faith alive in God, in all situation of life, is all you need to walk on your high places!!!

The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer's feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills." (Habakkuk 3:19 NKJV)

Genuine faith is identified when you believe God can still make you to walk on your high places even in the midst of various disappointments.

Habakkuk looked around him and saw that most of his expectations were not met. The fig tree did not blossom not to talk of producing fruit. All his labour does not measure up because there was nothing to show for it both in the field and on the vine. It is possible that he saw the fig tree of those around him blossoming, several fruit on their vines and flocks in their fold.

However, he rejoiced in what God could do for him. He did not forget the fact that the fig tree had been blossoming in the time past. He looked with the eyes of faith seeing himself walking in his High places.

Are you disappointed with various situation around you? Is it that you have laboured and there is nothing to show for it? Didn't you see God doing those things you are earnestly praying for on daily basis in the lives of those around you? Whatever the case is with you, the Lord is not ignorant of your plight. Keep your faith alive and rejoice in God your salvation; even as you work and walk according to His will.

Focus: Winning your Secret Battles

Spiritual battle are won in the secret than in the public. The battle you did not win in the heart you cannot win in the physical!!!

Every act of obedience or disobedience to God begins from the heart. A man will only stand against the devil and his agents if he has succeeded in obeying God in the secret to work and walk according to His will. Your praying and every spiritual activities will be fruitless exercise if you fail to win your secret battles.

The place of our battle with the devil is not on the pulpit or various prayer mountains but our hearts. Daniel won the battle of lust(king's food) in his heart before he was ten times better. He was better both before men and God because he won the battle in the secret.

Several men who drag the name of the Lord in the mud did that because they lost their secrets battles. A man does not just wake up and start misbehaving; such a man has failed in the secret. The degree of how much you will please the Lord with your life depends on how much you submit yourself to God in the secret; making no provisions for the works of the flesh.

There is no other way to win your secret battles order than submitting yourself to God by denying yourself, talking up your cross daily and following Jesus Christ in his steps (Luke 9:23).

The Almighty God does not place something serious with great eternal value in hands of men He has not proved. Today, our God is the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob because He committed Himself to them after He tried them with various life's situation.

If proving men is an important attribute of God then who are you to live your life based on assumption. Not everything that appears good coming your way is good. You must always seek to know the will of God for you as a person. What is good for you may not be good for another.

You must validate who you accept to be your bosom friend, your mentor, your wife, your business or academic partner and those you share sensitive issues of your life with. You must also prove to know if you are in the right location, Church, School, Business or Job.

Not every message or things that appear spiritual can help your life. Irrespective of how wonderful things appear to be don't be carried away; seek that which good and hold on to it.

Where there is an intention to succeed be it spiritually, academically, financially, maritally etc. there you will find fear. The magnitude of the intended success determines the magnitude of the fear you will overcome!!!

The basis of every act of unbelief is fear. The first statement the devil presents to every man who desires to advance further into his glorious destiny is that "You cannot". He does not only present it casually but with evidence.

When some set of Israelites were sent to spy the promised land in a bid to possessing it. They came up with following fact:-
1. The Land was indeed a land flowing with milk and honey just as the Lord had said.
2. The Land was already occupied by some set of people who were considered to be giants (Anakities). This also was a fact which is in line with the word of God to them; He promised to give them the land of the Amorites, Jebusites etc.

However, they only considered their strength with respect to the giant they saw and concluded "we cannot possess the Land". Therefore, many of them couldn't make it there because of fear.

Situation of life will always present two basic facts before you; Positive or Negative. Irrespective of what is presented to you. Be mindful of the word of God and act towards it. Never consider your capacity; Look only unto God and take a bold step in the direction of His will for you.

You can be guaranteed to win every battle confronting your life, if and only if you have won the battle within. A man cannot be declared a victor in the battle of life until he is victorious against the works of the flesh!!!

The greatest battle of life is the battle within. A composer sang a song saying " If there is no condemnation in our hearts, a glorious rest is assured". What you claim to do in the name of the Lord will only count and be useful to fulfill His purpose on earth, if you have won the battle within.

When a man is still a slave to sin, he is no where in the purpose of God. He is a prey in the hands of the devil and a vessel of dishonour. No matter how wonderful and glorious your appearance is before men, the fact still remains that you are a victim, if you are still being eaten up by the works of the flesh.

Winning the battle within begins with walking in the spirit. Submitting yourself to God and allowing Him to live His life in you. This will be possible when you deny yourself, take up your cross daily and following Jesus Christ in His steps (Luke 9:23). It is only when God lives His life in you that you can that you can bear the fruit of the Spirit and have inner strength to confront every battle of life.

The way you see men and treat them determines if you are a man of honour or not. Every man who comes to you goes away with an orientation of your personality. There will be limit to what your influence and impact will be in the lives of men, if you have not grown in the love of Christ to accept them for who they are and people who can change to reveal the Glory of God in great dimension.

Several people have lost a promising job, husband, wife, covenant helper, defendant, friend, parent, guardian because they exhibited bad character in looking down on people who appeared not to be relevant or beneficial to their lives.

All men who places great value in honouring God don't look down on men. Don't honour men based on what they have done for you or can do for you, their position, power and personality, charisma and wonderful appearance but honour all men because they are deliberate creations of God.

Setbacks are part of the human experience in the journey of destiny. There will be obstacles to overcome whenever a man bids to advance further into his glorious destiny. When Pharaoh released the Israelites to go into the promised land they thought the mission was accomplished until they came to the red sea.

In like manner, you will not but come to various red seas on the pathway of destiny, no matter how great the promises of the Lord is in your life. It is a known fact that God is faithful to His words but our character is a major factor that determines the manifestation of His promises. When the Israelites found themselves in a dead end they lamented bitterly; an action which prompted God to speak to them.

Whenever you experience setbacks it is not a time to lament but a time to consider the word of God and move forward in the direction of God's plan for your life. Be mindful of the fact that you will get to your destination and place of fulfillment no matter what happens if you will take God by His words and walk in His ways!!!

The preparation of your tomorrow begins with the way you train your child: what you tell and teach them, your ways of life and the nature you carry. When a child is born he or she comes with a memory to accept new things and learn from his/her environment by experience.

A new born baby does not have a tribe, language, religion or any form of identity; his environment determines all these. Whatever the child sees and was taught with respect to his/her experience becomes the component of his/her life.

When you teach them love, compassion, lending a helping hand, good manners, unity, the way of the Lord and they see the same in you; they will not depart from it. If your impartation is discord, hatred, bad manners, selfishness, greed and envy; they will not depart from it. Be mindful of the fact that whatever you sow in them you will reap in multiple fold. When you sow the seed of hatred; they will grow in it and hate you in return. In your teachings, don't forget to teach them love without any exception.

Your life can never remain the same each time you accept a visitor into your life; this is because a visitor will either come as a blessing to your life or as a devourer as the case may be.

Irrespective of who you are you will not but always have visitors who will always come with the aim to achieve certain purposes. This we must always have at the back of our minds as we proceed on the pathway of destiny.

Adam and Eve came to a turning point when the devil visited them in the garden of Eden. That singular visit altered the plan of God for the entire human race. Abraham on the other hand also experienced a turning point when he entertained the angels who spoke to establish the promises of God over his life.

You must be conscious of the one who influences your life. You must be very sure of God's will for your life on whom to take as a bosom friend, life partner, business partner, Pastor, Discipler or mentor. Nevertheless, hospitality is a virtue expected for all children of God to exhibit. Be very sensitive to the Holy Spirit in every aspect of choice.

One of those things required for Lazarus to come back to life is the removal of the stone used to cover the tomb where he was placed. The same scenario played out at the resurrection of the Lord Jesus; the stone was rolled away. The major issues in the hearts of the women who went to where the tomb of Jesus to anoint his body was: "Who will roll the stone? "

We go on in the journey of destiny asking the same question in every facet of life. There is a need to critically evaluate and examine our lives to see if there is a stone the Lord placed in our capacity to remove. God can do all things but will not do all things (Isaiah 59:1).

Many are looking for wonderful miracles but chooses not to remove the stones. The stones of faithlessness, bitterness, misunderstanding, laziness, unfaithfulness, conspiracy against the leaders, condemnation, envy, fault findings in the lives of men and every works of the flesh must be removed. Until these stones are removed the required success, victory and breakthrough will not be experienced!

Focus: A Child of God Does not Sin

Two things make every Child of God - Genetic (the seed of God) and His environment (Discipleship). The decision of a man at every point in time is an important factor which influences his destiny!!!

The true mark of every Child of God is that they do not sin because the seed of God resides in them. They do not need the presence of their pastors, spiritual leaders and those who know them to remain holy and righteous. To them, holiness and righteousness is a normal lifestyle due to the seed they carry.

"Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God." (1 John 3:9). Irrespective of what your view may be about sin; a child of God does not sin. When a man commits a sin he does that as a sinner not as a child of God at that very point in time.

We read the account of Joseph the son of Jacob who chose to do the will of God even as a slave in a land where those who taught him the way of the Lord do not reside nor have any contact. Even if it seems as if you have an exclusive right to do whatever you like the fact still remains that your actions or inactions can greatly influence the plan of God over your life.

The Lord is earnestly looking for men who at the verge of sinning will remember the Love of God and say: How can I?

+ How can you call yourself a child of God and still be a slave to sin? Why will you allow the devil to claim you despite God's investment over your life?

Focus: Bad Products

WORD FOR TODAY
No matter how good and widely accepted the work of the flesh appears to be, it will not be accepted by God. Any preaching, praying, dancing, singing, teaching and spiritual activities born out of the works of the flesh is a bad product to God and a waste to the kingdom investment!!!

The Lord Jesus made it clear to His disciples that calling the name of God and engaging in spiritual activities does not qualify a man to inherit the kingdom of God but doing His will (Matt 7:21). The unfortunate issue about the work of the flesh is that it cannot submit to God's will. This is the reason why some people will be rejected on the last day despite the fact that God honoured his name through the works of their hands in performing miracles and signs and wonders (Matt 7:23).

The Lord invested so much on several men; administering gifts and revelation of His Glory. Most of these men turned out to be a bad product because they became injurious to God works on earth. What is meant for the advancement of God's Kingdom is diverted for personal use and glory.

Many due to the garment of spiritual activities they put on, hindered many from gaining access to God. The people will never accept a perceived bad product so also the Lord will not accept a man exhibiting the works of the flesh in any disguise. Until a man submits himself to God and allows Him to live His life in him; the outcome of his life remains an abomination to Him.

The reward for whatever you are doing at a point in time will not come immediately but after the deeds have been done. Every act of sin and wickedness leads to death but may not happen immediately.

It was said of our Lord Jesus Christ that He loved righteousness and the aftermath was that He was exalted above His companions. Moses at a point disobeyed God and that became a hindrance to entering the promised land. King Saul was rejected as King due to an act of disobedience.

Taking the accursed things was enough for the devil to occasion the death of Achan and his household. You must not be ignorant of the fact that an act of sin or disobedience to God is enough to destroy every good dream of your life. Also, every act of obedience to God leads to abundant life and blessings!

You are known at least for something. Some people are known for their adulterous life, unrighteousness, fraud, idolatry, selfishness, wickedness and the likes.

Make a good name for yourself. Your name through your deeds will go along with the legacies your life set for people. If you are kind, loving, peaceful, caring and generous you will be known for it.

We have seen people who became great because their associates had a good name. Some parents have succeeded in buying a good future for their children even if they are no more, because of the good reputation they had with men. Don't take things for granted make a good name for yourself.
