WORD FOR TODAY
Every situation in a man's life will not but always provide a platform for miracles. From generation to generation, God will continue to work and walk mysteriously.

The situation of your life is like the way it is because the Lord wants to use it to surprise you. The way the Lord will handle your case will always be different from the way you are thinking He will. No matter how terrible the situation of your life is, the fact still remains that the thought of the Lord concerning you is of peace.

Joseph couldn't believe it when he was made the prime minister of Egypt right from the prison. Jacob couldn't believe it when he was told Joseph is still alive and when they presented to him the sons of Joseph (Gen 48:8-11). Ruth never thought she could get someone to marry her among the people of God who were barred from doing so but God in His mighty way made it happen just because of her choice to follow and serve Him (Ruth 1:16-17, 3:1, 4:1-End).

The man at the pool of Bethesda in John 5 was waiting for the stirring of water by the angel but Jesus came and healed him after 38 years. Even if you don't know how God will intervene in the issues in your life; it will come as a surprise because God will do it in His own way. Do not fret yourself about anything trust God for miracles.

Eating the bread of sorrow becomes inevitable when grace is not made available. Whatever effort put in place in every issue of life is in vain until God makes grace available; Grace is all you need!!!

There is no crime in rising early in a bid to achieve something for your life. However, there is no wisdom in rising early without acknowledging God who gives rest in all situations of life.

Many people try as much as possible to do all they can to avoid miserable situation of life. Some surrender their lives to God, engage in spiritual activities, pray for a glorious future, kept themselves from doing evil and diligently carried out every assignment that concerns them but at the end of all, the only thing they have to showcase is bread of sorrow.

Some are workaholic, they work round the clock and have no time for God. Some worked so hard to get a good award and position from various life activities and gather several possessions of life but yet ended up eating the bread of sorrow. The fact that these men rose early in all the above instances doesn't automatically give them the sleep they desire and deserve.

In all situation of life you must never forget that it is God who gives rest. Grace is all you need in all your endeavours. Even if you are a child of God, the fact still remains that except the Lord builds whatever you are building is in vain.

Focus: Times and Seasons for everything

Times in life are not equal. The good and the bad times of life is what defines our lives as humans!!!

Where we are today is not where we used to be and the fact that we are here today doesn't mean we have reached our final destination. Time is the unit of the human life. There is a purpose for every time you find yourself in the land of the living.

When times are good for you don't forget that it is not so with everyone and that times in life will not be always good. As we have good days so we have evil days. When times are bad remember the good days of the past and hope for better days ahead.

Whatever time you find yourself at this moment be mindful that times and seasons are in the hand of God. Acknowledge Him in all you do and He will make things beautiful in its time for you.

Focus: A Life of Sacrifice

WORD FOR TODAY
You have not known the essence of being a christian until you understand and live with the orientation that you are called to live a life of sacrifice. The call to salvation is a call to a life of sacrifice!!!

"He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live to please themselves. Instead, they will live to please Christ, who died and was raised for them." (2Corinthians 5:15 NLT)

Whatever you give cannot still remain with you. If you have given your life to Christ; the implication is that, it is no longer your own. It now belongs to Christ whom you handed it to. Hence, your life is no longer your life but the life of Christ. You cannot live for yourself again, if you must live it must be the life Christ wants you to live.

Anytime you live a life different from the life of Christ, the implication is that you have taken it back; it is now your life. Hence, sin and every works of the flesh will rule over your life. Apostle Paul admonished the Romans by the mercies of God to present themselves as a living sacrifice (Rom.12.1).

If by God's grace you have been saved, you are expected not to live for yourself again but for Christ. It is in doing this that Christ will work in you to do His good pleasure. A day is coming when your time will finish and your days on earth will be accomplished; on that day everything you did for yourself in favour of the sinful nature will perish and you will be at the mercy of what the Lord did through your life!!!

In life, we cannot but come to a chapter on the pathway of destiny where God actively becomes silent just to fulfill a course. When it is mandatory for a man to have an experience (good/bad) in a bid to fulfill His purpose; God will not be resistant to it!!!

The Lord most of the times take us through an unfamiliar path of greatness where various experiences of life shape us into His intended purpose. Most times, the situation around our lives look as if God has forsaken us. Like our Lord Jesus Christ, you will not but have some experiences peculiar to the fulfillment of your purpose in destiny.

Silent chapters of life will not but come; it is not a strange experience for those who really want to fulfill their purpose on earth. The Lord was silent when Joseph was thrown into the dry well, sold into slavery and locked up in the prison. He was silent when the 3 Hebrews were thrown into the fiery furnace and when Daniel was thrown into the Lion's den. Even Jesus was not exempted; so also you will not.

The glory of the Lord was manifested in the lives of these men when their three days was accomplished based on the peculiarities of their individual experiences.If you have a feeling that God has forsaken you because He allowed you to have some challenging issues be mindful of the fact that when your third day is accomplished; there will be ressurection. The silence of the Lord at these times is for proper evaluation of your growth, faithfulness and loyalty.

You have not experienced the power of God until you have been translated from where you used to be to where God wants you to be. You cannot follow the Lord and still remain the same; a real encounter with the Lord transforms a man from nothingness to greater realm of glory!!!

The essence of the ressurection of Christ Jesus from death is to ensure our ressurection from everything that tends to put us to death in various aspects of life. There is no doubt to the fact that you have a terrible past. When the power of resurrection becomes effective in your life there will be significant transformation from what you used to be to what God wants you to be.

By the virtue of the power of resurrection, they sought to anoint the body of Jesus, but He was no longer there. When Bartimaeus the blind had an encounter with Jesus; his sight was restored and stopped being a beggar. From that very day, whoever sought to find where he used to be will not find him there. He was no longer there.

An encounter with the Lord will not only change you from being a sinner or a man ruled by the works of the flesh; it will also translate you from where you used to be (academically, maritally, financially, spiritually etc.) into the realm of greater glory by the power of resurrection!!!

Focus: Who will roll the Stone

Whenever various situation of life presents to you questions you cannot answer; you are required to look up to God for desired solution. Several problems in life will remain unsolved until we look up to God for divine intervention!!!

"And they said among themselves, "Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us? But when they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away--for it was very large."(Mark 16:3-4 NKJV).

The major issues in the mind of the women going to anoint the body of Jesus who was crucified was who will roll the stone. Even when they could not provide an answer they proceeded and looked up and discovered a miracle has happened by the power of resurrection!

Life will not but give us several reasons to worry. There are several stones to be rolled away. The world is still battling with the issue of COVID 19 and has become a serious challenge for all inhabitants of the earth. This does not limit the issues peculiar to our nation, locality and our individual lives.

The fact that there are several large stones that God had rolled away from our ways in the past by the power of resurrection is an assurance that various issues like stones will be rolled away. We must not give up looking up to God for divine intervention in every issue of life.

Self-denial is an important prerequisite for a man who desires to be what God wants him to be. The ability to say no to some things which appear to be beneficial to you is critical to how far you will go and what you will become in life!!!

A man who has not received the help of God to deny himself in various aspects of life is like a car without a brake. Understanding self-denial begins with knowing that there are some things you cannot take, do, eat or venture into and there are some people you cannot relate with. It is also knowing that not everything they call opportunity is good for you.

The life of the man of God from Judah, Gehazi and King Saul made it clear that to us that there is a time to eat, take gift and obey promptly to God's instructions respectively. The blessedness of self-denial can be seen in the lives of Joseph, Daniel and David; they all came into the center of God's plan and purpose for them. The major ordeal in the life of David occurred when he could not deny himself.

God cannot rely on the life of a man who lack self-denial. Until you submit yourself to be helped by God Himself to exhibit self-denial, His plans for your life will remain a mirage. A single temptation in the life of a man who lacks self-denial will be enough to destroy the investment of God in His life over the years. Self denial is the key to having long life and preserving your walk with God, His plans and purpose for your life.

We know a man who possesses an evil spirit that will destroy him through pride. One of the ways to know and identify a man who is going down the drain is pride. God himself will become your ultimate resistance each time you think of yourself more highly than you ought to.

Pride begins when a man fails to acknowledge God in his ways. Proud people always think they are who they are by their efforts and intellect. They believe that men fail simply because they are not serious or because their effort is not enough. They are people who don't believe that there is a measure of God in the life of every man created by God and treat people with respect to their class, position, title, tribe, condition and age.

They don't acknowledge their wrong doings and weaknesses; they are always too big to admit the fact that they need help in various aspect of life. They are strong willed people who do not forgive those who offend them. God said to the proud, He will be a resistance. He will never walk with them but against them!!!

We know a man who possesses the spirit of God through humility. A man is humble whenever he acknowledges the fact that he is what he is by the grace of God and there is nothing he can ever be without the help of God. Also, he lives with the orientation that there is no height he attains in life that he does not need God; to such, there is no life without God.

They are people who believe that there is a measure of God in the life of every man created by God irrespective of class, position, title, tribe, condition and age. They attribute the difference among men to the measure of grace made available to every individual in every facet of life. They acknowledge their wrong doings and weaknesses; they are never to big to admit the fact that they need help in various aspect of life.

They are men who are never too familiar with the word of God but tremble at God's word to act accordingly. God said to the humble, He will make grace available. He will walk with them, help and carry them through the journey of destiny. If you want God to help you, then you must be humble!!!

The Lord is very much interested in our physical well being and He is willing to do His good pleasure in our lives if we will always come to Him to present our petitions.

He is a loving father; we cannot ask for bread and receive stone from Him; if a man will not do that, He won't do that either.

One of the most important strategy of the evil one is to hinder men from coming to God and presenting close alternatives to men. If there be anything hindering you from coming to God; such is hindering you from the original blessing of God and the required divine intervention you need for your life.

What do you need for your life and destiny? The Lord is making it known to you that He is ever willing to do it. All you need is to cooperate with Him and allow Him to do it in His own way at His own time. No matter how wonderful your desires in life may appear to be, don't settle for the alternative the devil is offering to you; God is always willing to do it for you if you will come and submit to His principles.

When the Lord said to satan "Have you considered my servant Job? There is none like Him" He was trying to reveal the outstanding nature of one of His own creation whom He has tried and proved over the time.

The Lord allowed Job to have the experience He had just to present to us a model of a man like us who passed through terrible challenges of life and at the same time maintained his integrity and consecration before God. He had opportunity to be offended, abuse God but He rather praised the unquestionable God who remains the Lord of all.

Whatever the case may be with you know from the first principle that the life you have is a privilege. When evil times come and it seems as if situation of life does not favour you, know at that very point in time that a test of your loyalty to God has come.

Put the devil to shame by remaining loyal to God. Maintain your consecration before Him and praise Him for all your experiences because they will eventually workout for your good.

Focus: The Resource Called Time

WORD FOR TODAY
Time is an inelastic resource given to a man to finish an allotted task. There is no everlasting man, every man is given a season or a tenure to fulfill his purpose on earth!!!

"He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light."(John 5:35 KJV)

The account of John the baptist given in the passage above revealed that he came to shine for just a while and that men will enjoy and endure him for a season. This is a typical example of what a man's life will be in the land of the living.

Whatever opportunity, platform, placement, position, achievement, power you have at any point in time is for a season and does not last forever. Don't allow the power and the achievement you have make you think you still have plenty of time. Be mindful of the fact that life is a temporary assignment.

You are on a space of time and you don't have all the time. God who owns the time will come some day to announce that your time is up in every facet of life. Hence, time is a resource that finishes suddenly. It is a space between one second and the next. Every man's life terminates between two seconds. Examine yourself and put your life in order according to God's will for you, because the night is coming when such opportunity will not be available!

Every challenge in life comes with a unique training. Every situation in your life is primarily meant to strengthen you and prepare you for your future!!!

David gave an account of what God did in his life at a point in destiny. His submission is that "My arms can bend a bow of bronze". He did not just suddenly come to that point but his words was a summary of accumulated challenging experiences. He could defeat Goliath because he defeated bear and lion in the wilderness while keeping his father's sheep.

The challenging situation in your life presently is a school of character development required by the glorious future ahead of you. There are some blessings that will not come into your life until you are matured enough and have the required character to bear it.

In this season, God will use the present situation to teach men how they can use two fishes and five loaves of bread to feed several men. Also, how they can live several days without working yet never lack anything. God is teaching the entire population of the world how to subdue a virus called COVID 19.

There is a point where several people will get to their breaking point and give up but your training will make you stand strong. This is not a time to complain about anything but a time to submit to God to learn by experience what He wants to achieve with every situation of our lives.

God, right from the ages past had wanted to work out His good pleasure in the lives of men. However, He will never force Himself on men. When Lord saw the need to comfort His people and put an end to their warfare in captivity the word He sent to them was "Prepare the way of the LORD". The implication of this is that even if God will put an end to their oppression they had a sole responsibility of preparing the way of the Lord.

The Lord is not ignorant of both the general and individual ordeal we are facing at this point in time. The voice you must never ignore even as you take physical precautions, pray, fast and engage in every spiritual activity is "Prepare the way of the LORD". Allow various situation around you to open your eyes to what God requires of you. It is time to repent, draw close to God, get it right with Him to walk and work in His ways!

In every situation of life, be mindful of the fact that one good thing to do is to draw near to God. Sometimes, the essence of the challenging experience we have is to bring us close to God. Allow every situation around you to bring you close to God.

It is evident that the entire world is now on holiday. Most things and activities of men are put on hold at this point in time. This time should remind everyone of us that the night is drawing nearer when men will not be able to work. A virus (COVID 19) an infective agent that is too small to be seen by light microscope, has put the entire world on hold and compulsory holiday. Am just wondering if the virus was physically visible to the human eye it would have become a forgotten issue by now. In the actual sense, COVID 19 is a plague on earth. It requires the intervention of the Lord to bring an end to it.

As you step aside from your daily activities on the account of the plague on earth try as much as possible to plead the case of the earth to God. It is time to declare peace, deliverance and healing to the earth!!!

The God we serve is the Almighty who rules in the affairs of men. He is not ignorant of the happenings of this time nor that of the future. Our peace and refuge lies only in His Hand. When the Land of Egypt was plague the Lord promised His people that it will not come near them and it happened exactly the way He promised them.

However, in the course of time, while the land of Egypt was plagued, the Lord gave them instructions to follow so as to serve as precaution for them. They obeyed and the people of God were saved. As you take precautions, you must as well believe what the Lord has said: "No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling" (Ps 91:10).

Abide under the shadow of the Almighty by believing what God has said concerning His people irrespective of the prevailing situation even as you take precautions. Be mindful of the fact that what you think of yourself has influence on your experience. As the days go by, be confident of the fact that evil will not come near you.

There are several men who prayed to God to have a safe passage above all protocol in a bid to achieve something yet they are too strict and principled in their dealings with men. They were neither merciful nor loving. We must be mindful of the fact that the kingdom of God will only be established in the life of a man when his life is full of Grace.

Excellence in every facet of life begins with treating those who appeared to be less privileged than you. When you based your reaction with respect to the class of people you deal with, you are not an excellent person. Be a man full of God's grace and love not laws. There is no other way to have impact in the lives of men order than being full of God's grace, mercy and love.

Joseph the son of Jacob came to a turning point where he decided to do the will of God; this singular action established his dreams. Also, Moses at a point identified himself with the people of God; his decision gave him a place in the purpose of God.

The opportunity to define your life and future in destiny will be made available for you. The major decision you must always make include laying aside every weight hindering your progress, putting away and repenting from your besetting sins; having strong will and zeal to run the race in the direction of God's will for your life.

Is there a mountain you are trying to surmount and your experiences appear as if you can never overcome. You must never give up trying; what you need is the grace to keep trying. Do not stop at the point where the situation set a limit to your life; find strength in God and move on to victory.

The new things God is set to do in your life will only manifest, if and only if you live believing in His promises for your life. Move away from excuses, complains and sad news of your failures and disappointments and move onto victory. Living in your past will only hold you down but believing God's promises keep you moving into a glorious future!

Due to the nature of the experiences some people have had in the past and what they have heard happening to people, they tend to prepare for fear, failure, disappointment, misfortune and defeat.

What do you think of a man who thinks he had COVID 19 just because he had some of its symptoms? Do you know if care is not taken such a man can die from the trauma of having COVID 19! I have come to know that fear kills much more than death itself. You will not enjoy the beautiful life the Lord wants you to have until you move into victory. A man who lives his entire life as a victim can never be victorious in any aspect of life

When Jesus was crucified, He did not lose focus on the joy set before Him. You must not be ignorant of what the Lord wants for your life at every point in time. Each time you experience set back in terms sickness, failure, disappointments, defeat etc; don't allow the situation to slow you down or prompt you to give up; move on to victory according to the word of God for your life.

I am just wondering why you guys relate this post to COVID 19. Whatever the case is, the fact still remains that God is supreme and He rules in the affairs of men. What is happening is not strange to those who truly know God.

When God makes grace available for protection you will dwell under the shadow of the Almighty; and COVID 19 will not come near you. There is no way we Nigerians can be as careful as those in China, Italy and other nations plague with COVID 19.

THOSE WHO LIVE BY COMMON SENSE ALONE CANNOT EXPERIENCE THE POWER OF GOD.

THAT IS WHY EVERYTHING THAT HAS TO DO WITH GOD REMAINS AND APPEARS AS FOOLISHNESS TO THEM!

COVID 19, exist today because of people like you who failed to acknowledge God in their ways. They rejected the grace that brought salvation meant to bring freedom to all mankind. The fact that the whole thing started in China; a country who thinks that they don't need God due to their well being and economic development should pass a strong message to you that God is supreme and that he rules in the affairs of men.

When God gives you ability to make money and have riches, grace is made available for you to help people who needs money.

The word of the Lord makes it clear to us that: "Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it" (Ps.127.1a). Whatever you achieved dishonoring the words of God will not last.

Do not attribute unrighteous gains or achievement to the Lord; He will not take it. Whatever method presented to you to achieve something in various aspect of life that you cannot confidently give an account of it under God; do away with it. Do not sacrifice the precious plan of God.

There is no doubt in the fact that there is an evidence of some physical blessings in your life. However, you must be very sure of the fact that you do not bow to the devil before the achievements. Bowing to the devil can be giving yourself for sex, bribing your way, stealing and embezzling, using diabolical material and joining secret cult etc. If your joy will not be cut off, you must trust your life to God and wait properly on Him to work out His good pleasure in your life.

Destruction is looming in the life of a man who thinks he does not need God in the affairs of his life. There are several men who were been eaten up with the success they had to the point that they neglected anything that had to do with God or honour Him with their lives.

Over the years, God has proven to be the Almighty. Pharaoh said, "Who is the LORD, that I should obey him and let Israel go? I do not know the LORD and I will not let Israel go."(Exo 5:2). The Lord revealed and proved Himself to Pharaoh. All nation who had in one time or the other failed to acknowledge God experienced plague, deadly diseases and oppression of the enemies.

The happenings in the entire world at the moment is a call to acknowledge God as the Almighty. Acknowledge and honour God in everything you do. And the LORD will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you (Deut 7:15).

A man who loses Eighty (80) marks begins with the first mark. The plan of God over all mankind is that we should multiply and increase. He is never in support of reduction or decrease at any level of life. Therefore, the Lord wants every man to be reactive against every loss. The principle behind increase is gaining more and avoiding losses.

As it is commonly said; "A drop of water can make a mighty ocean". Also, a minute failure, disappointment, sin, loss in business, reduction in spiritual effectiveness, can lead to a mighty corresponding detrimental experience respectively.

Irrespective of the situation of your life don't ever neglect or look away from any form of loss or reduction in any aspect of your life but rather take the responsibility as it is within your capacity to ensure restoration. Don't ever accept defeat, failure or console yourself of a reasonable amount of remnants. Be offensive to everything that aims to bring you down.
